Real good service in pleasant surroundings

Good selection of food and drinks, lovely atmosphere and the staff were really helpful.

Can't rate food as we didn't eat but on the 2 occasions we had drinks the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly THANKS ALL we will be back

The pizza base was still dough. The place looks great though, shame about the food.

Lovely couple of pints here midway through a hike around the mountains, very friendly staff and a superb outside area.

If I wanted my burger bun to double as a breadstick, I’d have gone to an Italian restaurant. The top was so crisp and dry it practically crumbled like a cracker — I half expected to find cheese and chutney on the side. Even the coleslaw had been treated to a warm embrace under the heat lamp. I didn’t realise I’d ordered a "hot slaw" special. On the plus side, if you're ever craving a meal that feels like it's been basking in the sun for hours, this is your spot

Lovely pub with prompt and polite service. I enjoyed listening to the locals speaking Welsh with the bar staff, and watching the world go by outside.

Oh what a shame, we have been coming here for years. The quality of the food was not up to previous standards. Pub food, restaurant prices!! 2 pieces of beef in steak and ale pie, pastry rock hard. Lasagne all chees little meat. Don't bother changing anything for me, I won't be back.

Lovely place, tables indoor and out, with twinkly lights and outdoor heaters. Excellent service, the bar staff checked everywhere but there was no gluten-free beer available on the day we visited 😞 Enjoyed a diet coke with ice and a slice instead and soaked up the lovely atmosphere 🙂

To me it's very similar to a wetherspoons! Foods ok the venue is nice but it doesn't blow your socks off ! But it's still the busiest place in the area so what do I know !!! I got the gammon and my partner got the pasta . Both dishes average and service was quick .

Always a good experience here, friendly service, good food and wether it’s summer or winter always a good atmosphere. Food has always been very good, and the burgers! WOW. They definitely replace some much needed calories after a day in the mountains!

Cracking place to eat and rest out after a great day exploring the area.

The way tables are assigned in this establishment is completely chaotic and inefficient. There is no organization whatsoever; each customer has to find their own table, which makes the experience uncomfortable and frustrating. To get a seat, you have to stand near an occupied table, making those still eating feel uneasy. On top of that, new customers keep coming in and trying to take the table you’ve been waiting for minutes, leading to awkward and even confrontational situations between diners. When I asked the staff, they simply told me, “this is how the system works.” As a Spanish citizen, I find this to be the most absurd approach to table service I’ve ever encountered. They should urgently improve this system to provide better customer service. As for the food, I’d rather not comment.

We absolutely loved the restaurant! Food was perfect, service was lovely as well. Also, they are pet friendly, which was perfect since we were traveling with out two pets :)

Always excellent 👌 unfortunately food was a let down on this occasion. Asked if I could have well cooked gammon as I always do..but bar staff told me it comes as it comes,,,so did not enjoy it unfortunately my husband had the half roast burnt dry chicken that we fed to our dog. So will try a different pub next time. Shame as we always loved this one.

Looks great, but the service at the bar is poor, once you are able to get a drink, you walk away feeling like you've just been robbed. Didn't eat so can't comment. It's very busy, but the only reason I can think is busy is there isn't anything better In the main street.

This place is such an asset to Betws-y-Coed! The outdoor dining area with its heaters is very much appreciated, especially as we usually visit with our dogs 😁. The food is always welcome after a walk in the beautiful Welsh countryside.

It's been a long time since I have visited here and what a fantastic change it is. The food is still excellent and the staff certainly goes that extra mile to make sure your visit is a pleasant one. Well done on the refurbishment it looks amazing

Called in for lunch between Christmas and New Year and the place was packed. My husband chose a burger with the lovely lady behind the bar tweaked it for him so he could have rarebit as well without having to order the enormous three stack one. I chose the steak and ale pie which had a lovely suet crust on and plenty of meat and gravy for the chips and peas. We both had Poretti lager which was a really good pint. We will definitely be back!

We have been a few times now. Every time busy but the food was still delicious and very good portion sizes. Even though busy we found some where to sit the staff were quick to clear and clean tables and the service was in good time. Either order on the app or at the bar service good both ways. Would definitely recommend and will most likely be back when we visit the area again.

Friday night before Christmas. We needed a quiet corner to enjoy a hot meal and we found a little bay and although the restaurant was busy our little corner wasn't. Food was excellent we both fully enjoyed our fish and chips.

Had a couple of drinks with friends here. The outside is very festive for Christmas 🎄. Staff friendly and there was a small local artisan market on during the day.

The food and service were fab, only issue was as a party of 6 with a 10 month old we needed to sit outside. Although heaters are mounted above we still got pretty cold, maybe an awning curtain on the edges to stop wind chill would be a nice idea 👍🏻

Great place we visit every time we head to snowdonia. This Saturday night was fantastic, great guiness and the live guitarist had everyone up dancing at the end of the night. Superb!

Called in about 3 pm, and the dining area inside was busy but not crowded. The outside seating had a few customers as well. Service was very good, about a 10min wait for our order, which wasn't long wait for us. We had the rack of ribs and the hunter chicken, which were both very hot, the chips were very nice and not greasy at all, The homemade coleslaw was a delightful treat, so creamy!! Our dog was very welcome in the dining area , which is a huge bonus when looking for somewhere on a cool day, so many other places insist you sit outside

Outstanding Food, Generous Portions, and Great Value! We had the pleasure of dining at Y Stabl in the heart of Snowdonia, and it was a truly memorable experience. The food was simply outstanding! We ordered ribs and two jacket potatoes with tuna, and the portions were extremely generous. The ribs were exceptional—tender, juicy, and falling off the bone, with a depth of flavor that made every bite a delight. The jacket potatoes were equally delicious and satisfying. What really stood out, aside from the quality of the food, was the fantastic value for money. For a meal for three people, including two Cokes, we paid just £50. The jacket potatoes were only £8–£8.50 each, which is incredible considering the portion size and quality. The restaurant is part of a charming hotel, making it the perfect spot for both visitors and locals alike. We highly recommend Y Stabl to anyone in the Snowdonia area. Whether you’re after a hearty meal or a cozy dining experience, you won’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely be returning! Busiest and most popular spot in Betwys. 3 excellent beers on cask

We always visit The Stables when we come to Betws-y-Coed. The food is generic pub grub but there is plenty of choice and portions are decent. We love the covered outside area with the patio heaters. However, as is the norm these days, the place is dog friendly and it often turns into absolute chaos at busy periods with dogs barking and yapping at each other while their owners appear oblivious to the fact that their furry friend is driving other customers mad. At our most recent visit it was more like being in a dog kennels with all the barking! Also, the pub's website states that paws must remain on the floor at all times. This rule is blatantly ignored by many dog owners. We even witnessed one couple allowing their dog onto the table! Staff appear to turn a blind eye. This is disgusting. People shouldn't have to sit on seats that have previously been trampled on by muddy paws. Not impressed. Edited to add: Return visit a few days later. This time sat inside as it was pouring down. The place unfortunately had an underlying odour of wet dog! Also, as we were leaving we were horrified to see a couple with their three soggy dogs sat between them on the seats while feeding them from their plates! This was directly opposite the bar, and once again the staff took no notice. Clearly, dog owners are allowed to do whatever they like here with no regard for other customers. I shouldn't have to sit on seats covered in dog hair and mucky paw prints and at a table that has been slobbered all over. We will not be returning. Shame, because we loved this pub.

On our last visit, the weather was very wet so for the first time we are inside, NEVER AGAIN. The overpowering stench of wet dog was dreadful. It would seem dogs take preference over humans here. Dogs on seats being fed at the tables by there owners. I was horrified. Great shame as we used to love it there, we will not return.

Maybe we were just unlucky in choosing the pizzas. There was certainly an extensive menu. The staff were pleasant and a reasonable selection of draft beers. The selection of chilled beers was limited. Wines were pricey.

Fish chips were good, decent price. Good service.

Good atmosphere and ok food. Think we were overcharged but stupidly didn't get receipt. Our fault. Food was decent, we had jacket potatoes and fish and chips. It's quite a typical meal for a large pub/restaurant either captive audience.

It was a nice atmosphere and they do serve a good pint. We ordered food and my friends came straight away but mine took an extra 20 minutes. I ordered the chicken burger which was ok, not the best burger I’ve ever had but decent enough.

Absolutely brilliant place for great food and efficient and friendly service. Plenty of seating indoors as well as covered outdoor seating. Dogs are welcome both in and out and they were super accommodating of our two puppies. They’re still getting used to lots of new experiences so it can take them several minutes to settle, but staff and patrons alike were super kind and understanding. We ordered food at the bar. QR codes also enable ordering by phone from the tables which is great for a more accessible and inclusive ordering option. The food was brought to our tables by really lovely staff and I couldn’t believe how quickly it arrived. It was also delicious! This place has really mastered efficient and effective delivery of its core business purpose. I would highly recommend and would absolutely return. We visited in September but I imagine it gets very busy in the peak months.

Can be a bit hit and miss,I live locally so I know it can be good but also have gone and it's been really poor. The fish and chips is a safe bet. It's got a bit pricey recently 2 meals and a garlic bread with 2 coffees cost nearly 50 quid. There are cheaper options in the village.

Simply the best ever vegan pizza! such a tasty,crisp delicious delight! The service very good and the beer fab...but would travel back just for the pizza!
