Visited for an evening meal with family. Lovely warm welcome, attentive staff and delicious food. Everyone enjoyed it! Highly recommended.

What an absolute delight Y Bedol Inn was. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh food served to us. Also the service was so personal and warm. Thank you so much. We had an absolutely lovely time and as soon as we left we were seeing if we could fit in one more visit before we head back home.

The food is delicious every time! The team are so warm & friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. A great place with great food, large portions and fab staff 😊

Sunday lunch for nine. First visit. Roast beef dinner. Normally, I enjoy roast beef on the pink side but the meat was beautifully tender and delicious as it was, cooked a little more. Vegetables (broccoli and cauliflower cheese, carrots, pea) were all very nicely cooked. We were all very impressed by the generous portion sizes, especially the beef. It almost felt like being at home! Service was decent — a few mix-ups with the drinks, but quickly rectified. Desserts were generous and indulgent. All in all, a wonderful family lunch. Thank you!

Last minute booking as staying in the area. Not much choice around that was dog friendly. We did previously go to the fairy falls but that is now indian restaurant and don't do dog meals anymore. But we have now found a better place for food in y Bedol. I had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce. So tasty. Asked for medium rare, got medium rare. I really enjoyed my meal. My wife went for the chicken kebab, which she really liked too. Food was tasty. The service was really nice and friendly. We had a small dog and he was welcome. Nowhere does dog meals but we got sausage mash and gravy to take away for him. I would highly recommend this pub.

Went here for dinner whilst staying at a local hotel. They were very welcoming despite it perhaps being a local’s pub and couldn’t do enough for us. We had the lamb and mint pie and a steak pie with mash and vegetables. Beautiful home made food with lashings of gravy. We were stuffed but managed a fruit trifle between us- good job we shared as it came in a knickerbocker glory type glass and was huge- as were the portions for the main course. Extremely reasonable price too. I would recommend this and would visit again when next in the area. They even sold home made Welsh Barabrith bread and obviously we bought a loaf! Do go- it’s not a big pub but it’s fantastic

The picture I’m posting does no justice - because this was, by far, THE BEST Sunday Dinner I’ve eaten out! I am a fussy foodie, and n in ow what is good! This ticked all the boxes! I took one of the gorgeous girls I support for lunch, and already can’t wait to go back! She has a very specific nut allergy, and I am always cautious when I take her out to eat! I spoke to our lovely welcoming and warm waitress, who then took the message to the kitchen staff and another AMAZINGLY helpful waitress, within minutes the lady was at our table, and didn’t leave a stone left unturned! Talk about thorough? I felt instantly at ease! We had the lamb, and beef, oh golly! The taste of both? Just incredible! No wonder you have to book? We’ll see you very soon, because you’re doing everything right!

Lovely traditional pub serving amazing homemade food with great friendly staff. If in the area, would definitely return.

Today my partner and I had afternoon tea here and it was amazing ,I called ahead to let them know I was veggie and the owners went that extra mile to make sure I was catered for . There was a great selection of homemade cakes and sandwiches and refills on the tea . I will definitely be calling again . The scones with clotted cream and jam are to die for. Extra bonus is that it's dog friendly

Stayed in a hotel chain down the road, however wanted to find a pub that has real pub food and a great atmosphere. Came across this place and wasn’t disappointed. Fantastic food, friendly service. could have stayed there all night! Would highly recommend and will return at at later date. An absolute little gem.

Beautiful warm and friendly pub which is dog friendly A proper home cooked roast dinner with plenty of meat and added bonus of cauli cheese included in the veg which normally you have to pay extra in other places ,the gravy is also delicious I have never had a bad roast here, hence coming back time after time Also, I heard the homemade pies are amazing, which next time I'll try Clean plates and full bellies all around very satisfied customers yet again

Traditional Sunday dinner was exactly as described, 4 different meats to choose from and everything was freshly cooked. I can honestly say that was the best roast dinner I've had when we've eaten out. Nice warm atmosphere and also dog friendly. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

No menus other than the board inside so enjoy standing around inside staring at the board if you don't have a phone to take a picture - seriously, what self-respecting eatery doesn't have menus? The menu was basic and lacked detail (stated to ask staff about which pizzas were on offer). When staff were asked about this, they gave a very rough recounting of what pizzas they had and refused to give a list of available toppings in a rather unapologetic manner. As an autistic person I found the rest of the menu to be quite boring and lacking in choice, so we left confused as to why this establishment is rated as highly as it is. Also would just like to mention how badly sign posted the car park is (and point out how empty it is as 6PM during an August evening - maybe if they actually had more customers there would be more accurately negative reviews!) Now happily sat at Tal Y Cafn where there is much more choice and won't be trying Y Bedol Inn again.

We had heard good reviews of Y Bedol and as we had a friend staying with us we decided to book a table for dinner and were very happy that we did. We made our choice from the menu on the blackboard and the food was freshly cooked and presented piping hot - just as it would be at home. My husband decided on steak pie and mash and was very happy as the mash was served in its own bowl with butter on the top, cauliflower cheese, carrots and peas together with a jug containing extra gravy. My friend and I enjoyed scampi, chips and peas and we had a glass of wine each. There was a choice of desserts and I had a delicious lemon meringue pie with ice cream - the lightest lemon meringue I have ever tasted. My husband and friend had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream - which they said was lovely. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return and look forward to enjoying a Sunday Lunch which I have heard is delicious.

What a wonderful pub, oldy worldly, real ale,amazing and efficient staff and the Sunday Lunch to die for with everything cooked to perfection. It's not the first time we have been for a excellent meal here and it definitely won't be the last. We'll done the staff and chef at the Y Bedol thanks for another great meal.

Incredible Sunday roast following our morning walk around the hills. It was like going to a family members home and having a proper home cooked roast with all the trimmings plus home cooked pudding. Food came fast and was piping hot and fresh. Staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming! Hoping to visit again but highly recommend. All excellent value too!! Cannot rate them highly enough

Wow ,we came here after reading reviews and it hit the spot Fantastic staff ,very attentive,great service, wonderful location,all made us feel so welcome Then after ordering our Sunday lunches ,they arrived I've never seen so much beef on a plate,along with the awesome roast potatoes and home cooked veg and extra gravy we tucked in Absolutely gorgeous,even down to the fine details of stuffing,pig in blanket and a hefty Yorkshire pudding.. absolutely brilliant I had to finish off with a dessert and I chose the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream ..an Absolute steal at £5 It's a hidden gem ,an absolute pleasure to be there We will most definitely be back ...a lot

Visited after a long period of closure and uncertain what to expect. However, delighted to find same high quality Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price. Both had beef which was melt in the mouth. Proper roasties and generous portion of veg.. ordered an extra side of roadties as they were as good as we remembered. No room for desserts but was looking at others and again very generous portions. Prices remain good with beef at £13.95 and desserts £5. Lots of places now charge ridiculous prices for desserts. Great food. Great service. Lovely old pub. Well worth a visit.

We were staying nearby and noticed the sign advertising Sunday dinners. The portions were a really decent size and the food was outstanding. The vegetables were separate and they tasted beautiful. I loved the cauliflower cheese but my favourite was the Yorkshire pudding. Homemade and absolutely perfect. My three year old also enjoyed some chicken goujons and chips. We’ll be returning next time we stay.

Due to a certain worldwide issue, the pub has decided to move outside. A marquee, blankets, and warm company, keep’s the homily pub atmosphere alive. The food was spot on, and bridged the gap between home cooked and fine dining very well.The sea bass, in particular, was fresh, tasty, and perfectly seasoned. Lovely pub. Would highly recommend. Something for everyone even the dog. Kids menu very good with large portions. I like a pub that recognises kids can have healthy appetites. Can recommend the minted lamb burger from the adult menu and their homemade lasagne. Delicious. The ladies there are very friendly and welcoming. One even appeared with Connect4 for us all to play. We sat in the bar area as we took the dog with us. Roaring log fire was well attended to and dog treats and water bowl offered for our furry friend. We enjoyed it so much we came back the following evening which we never do when we are away.

This place was falsely advertised that it was open and welcoming new guests however it was closed and not a soul in site. They are renovating however they have signs outside welcoming you inn. I would never go back

Went for Boxing Day lunch with my brother and sister in law. My brother had the fillet steak, his wife had roast beef and I had the lamb shank. We enjoyed another super lunch at Y Bedol last Sunday together with a great welcome from the Proprietor and staff.This was our sixth or seventh visit and the food was up to the previous excellent standard with the roast lamb being particularly tasty.Again, the portions were generous and we enjoyed every morsel, including the puddings which were filling but so enjoyable.It was particularly pleasing to see that most of the staff we met on previous visits were still there which is always a good sign and it was a nice experience to be recognised and welcomed by several of them.It was also good to see the great camaraderie between the staff.As in our previous review, we do recommend making a reservation as not surprisingly, they are nearly always busy despite serving Sunday lunches through to 6.30 p.m. We only got in by consenting to get there within 15 minutes of phoning [luckily we were en route to the area] and vacating the table within an hour, which was fine with us as we had other commitments later.We definitely recommend Y Bedol.

We have just left here and I can honestly say we've left a very full and happy family! The food was delicious and comforting. The price was right and the staff were brilliant, friendly and welcoming. Our 5yr old son is abit of a handful at times and can be abit noisy but they were amazing with him and very accommodating. All round excellent experience. We will be coming back! Thankyou!

We enjoyed a super Sunday lunch here, along with our spaniel, as they have an area set aside for dogs. I am vegetarian, & was pleasantly surprised to be offered a choice for Sunday lunch. There was a great selection of accompanying vegetables, which were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. We were served by several members of staff during our visit and every one of them was friendly and efficient. Highly recommend, particularly after visiting Surf Snowdonia as it is so close.

We have passed this pub many times over the years and never visited it until now. We were looking for somewhere close to our holiday home for a meal and decided to stop on spec. We were greeted by a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere in a recently refurbished but still traditional pub. The menu was comfortably short, meaning that everything was fresh and not straight from freezer to microwave. Portions were generous, very tasty and satisfying.. We shall be returning next time we're in the area.

I had another fantastic meal at Y Bedol in last night, can not fault the food, it’s up there with the best in the league. There is nothing on the menu that I wouldn’t recommend, it’s all fresh, plenty of, what more do you want? And the real ales are fantastic, they keep a great cellar!

We visited Y Bedol based on the many 5-star reviews but for us it didn’t quite get there. It wasn’t bad, it’s just wasn’t awesome...

We were looking for somewhere that would accept dogs and when we read the reviews decided to book. Very glad we did.

Two of us chose mussels in Thai Curry Sauce with garlic bread and chips. Fantastic. Love mussels but never had them with cut, it really does work. We highly recommend it to you.
