Fantastic food from here for many years and so many more wondering years

Not great. Small portion for the price

We recently had the large chicken curry with chips which are included and the large fried rice with a fried egg. It was enough food for two people and it was gorgeous. I think the chinese food here is the best in Newport and the curry can not be beaten.

One of the best Chinese in Newport though on this occasion opted for fish suppers. Good portions of chips a large can feed a number of people. Fish cooked to order so you may need to wait but it's worth it. They also do deliveries

Usually always order Chinese from here as it’s amazing! But on Friday I ordered crispy beef and from Saturday night I’ve had the most awful food poisoning.

Awful bad stomach after eating here

Ordered at half 6 and food didn't come till 8. Was sadly stone cold when it arrived, and I had to put it in the microwave. Our order was wrong, which isn't for the first time. I sadly think this chinese has become too busy for its own good The food portion sizes have sadly shrunk, and prices have gone up

Many Chinese take aways are a little generic, this is a little different, best crispy beef in town, the large portion option is great if you are ordering for the family.

Took 2 and a half hours for food to be delivered and they told me to use a microwave when I phoned them the food was stone cold.

Friendly staff and good curry sauce. Would have preferred more flavour in the curry sauce but it was good nonetheless. Plus would have preferred if the receipt machine worked. Bad experience personally if I don't have a proper receipt for the food.

The best. My favourite is king prawn curry and chips. Excellent ordering service. Lovely staff.

By far THE BEST CHIPS IN NEWPORT. Staff are great here, quick and efficient service and the food is always great. Prices are really affordable (considering the price of things these days) and we never have an negative experience with either the customer service or quality of the food. Highly recommend Wok Inn !!

We normally always order from this Chinese a bit unfortunate that we’ve had to wait nearly 2 hours to receive our order. When taking orders on the phone, might be worth telling the person who’s ordering how long it’s going to take, because had we known it was going to take this long we wouldn’t of bothered.

Best Chinese around. There is a reason they are always have plenty of orders coming in.

Dreadful service. Got served beef instead of chicken and the server dealt extremely narcissistic about it calling me a “liar” for making out I said “beef” instead of “chicken”

Fantastic people so helpful, food is good , always a smile and how are you.nothing is too much trouble . Recommend for anyone who enjoys good food.

Was recommended by a friend, it was bloody awful, it was all burnt, couldn't even eat the chicken balls, shame cause we normally love the wok when we had one in the past 😥😥

Being going there for years, lovely staff and food

It's always busy in here but there's no wonder why, the food is always good. Food is always cooked fresh here and the curry is lovely, a little on the hot side for those who don't occasionally eat spicy food but still good.

By far the worse Chinese takeaway I've ever had, the customer service is poor, I was over charged and they didn't put in the 2 portions of rice I ordered and when I rung up they was rude and took over half hour to correct it. Doesn't even deserve 1 star disgusting!

The people in the Wok Inn are lovely. The chips are too. It's a very busy, popular takeaway and I'd highly recommend it. Would love to be able to buy a vegan pie in there though!

The Wok Inn has been my favourite Chinese takeaway for over 30 years, I've moved out of the area now but when I get the chance like tonight, I will always go out of my way to get a meal, I have tried all of the other Chinese takeaways in Newport and in the area I live in now, but unfortunately nothing comes even close to the taste and freshness of food from the Wok Inn.

Food is excellent and great value for money here I would recommend this place this is one of the busiest chippys I have been to it says a lot as people love this shop and the staff here are great.

Always nice food but sometimes a longish wait because it doubles up as a chippy and Chinese takeaway.... staff are generally good, the manager is a really nice friendly lady. The chips are great too, my favourite in Newport.

Never go anywhere else, the wok inn is my #1 Chinese. Best curry sauce ever made and the foo yung is unbelievable 👍🏻

Served me the previous days chips, all shrivelled and dry. When I took them back and confronted the member of staff he said, " I asked the boss should I throw them out but was told to serve them". Says it all.......

Excellent fish and chips/Chinese it's easy in was in my top 3 please until 2 days ago my chicken balls was so hard and over cooked it was as if they had been pre cooked send just check back in the fire to warm them up before delivering and as for the curry sauce that was as if they had tip a full pot of spices it was far too hot compared to our usually is maybe they were having a bad day but still have to give 3 stars.
