Only had the breakfast but it was lovely. Dog friendly and very welcoming. I've also been there for drinks and there was a great atmosphere

A lot smaller than some of their premises and the only one I have been to with downstairs toilets! Similar on all other counts.

Very nice food. I had the steak which was cooked perfectly and really nice cut. Really good selection of alcohol free drinks too.

A typical larger Lounge experience. Food is fine, people extremely helpful but the building lacks a little atmosphere

Brought my wife here for a birthday breakfast as I know they did more modern breakfasts as opposed to traditional Full English (also available though). We both have the Miami Brunch (I added Chorizo). It was fantastic. A lovely place, good service also. In a redeveloped part of Newport. It was so good that my wife asked if it was a chain (we usually like going to independent places). Found another lounge in Abergavenny but didn't quite match the same heights. Surprised they didn't do smoothies though although drinks options were vast

Went tonight and service was faultless. Manager went above and beyond to accommodate myself and my husband who had forgotten to order my food. A lovely experience, thank you.

Bustling with people when I arrived @ 1 30 - ordered my food at the counter & was served by friendly staff who said they would bring my food & drink over.

It is a bit pricey in here, but always a warm welcome, and enjoyable atmosphere.

Looking for somewhere to grab breakfast before leaving Newport after our visit to attend a concert in Cardiff, we walked back to the car park and passed Drago Lounge. Menu looked ok from outside so in we went. Once inside, the penny dropped. We have a branch near home - Lupo Lounge - where we have visited before and it was rubbish. The last time we walked out after ordering food and waiting an obscene amount of time for it to arrive (they did refund us). Very happy to report that Newport it totally the opposite. We were greeted just inside the door and shown to a table. Ordering is easy; at the bar or via the app. Drinks appeared swiftly and food not too long considering they had a constant stream of customers. My breakfast muffin was really good (wish I’d ordered hash browns though) and the Wife’s pancakes with fruit and yogurt she declared “lovely”. It must have been as she even ate the blueberries. Toilets clean and tidy, staff friendly and attentive. Drinks and food very good. Can’t say any more really. Pity they can’t transfer staff to Wolverhampton !.

Another amazing evening spent here with my family. Celebrated 60th birthday. So many food options which were all delicious. Service is phenomenal gives off such a family friendly environment. We can’t wait to come back again.The staff were amazing.. Eliana,Kelly,Ash Damo and Gunars are incredible, they all work so hard and it doesn’t go un noticed.

Best flatbread out of all the Lounges I've been to. Well looked after. Water brought for dog by the Manager I think and we were shown where the treats were. Thank you for a lovely meal.

west end prices could not believe yhe price of the food and drink wow.

Popped in for a swifty after work tonight. What has happened to the Cruzcampo? The best pint I've ever had of it. The head was visible all the way down the glass which is a must for all premium lager drinkers. And the taste was impeccable. Either they've changed the pipes,got a new cellar man,brought in better beer or the magical young Ashleigh behind the bar has worked her wonders and got it right. Honestly best pint I've had in ages and I had 4 just to make sure. The girl needs a knighthood. Lol. Keep up the good work, guys.

A lovely restaurant with a friendly and cosy atmosphere, great for casual meet ups, dates and even business lunches. The menu spoils us for choice, with great Monday and Tuesday deals to choose from. The service was quick, friendly, and accommodating for personal requests. Super easy to order as well through a QR code or at the bar. Would recommend and happily come back any time!

Unfortunately a poor visit this evening. Steak was as tough as leather, meal not as described. Orange juice (freshly squeezed) unfortunately from a carton. Chips dry and not fresh. A dissapointing evening with family from Europe

This is an absolute gem for Newport, quaint and quirky, considering its part of a chain. The parmesam and garlic fries /chicken wings are to DIE for! Super dog friendly but what makes the visit is Damiem, I believe my dog Cactus is absolutely in love with him! Thank you for making each visit for her and us an absolute dream!

Decided to go to Drago Lounge for a meal with my boyfriend for my birthday today. I have been to Ocho and Juno lounge in Cardiff and so whilst we were in Newport I really fancied a breakfast from Drago. First time visiting, greeted by a lovely server with who was bubbly and full of personality. Very helpful and chatty. She even ran into the rain to bring our meals in as we decided to sit outside as the weather seemed fine and sunny - but then took a turn for the worst very quickly!(Typical Welsh weather) This server made our day. Amazing experience.

Great food and service with a great atmosphere.

Drago lounge is a nice place to have a quick tasty lunch as the service is fast and the food comes quickly and doesn’t break the bank. The food quality is hit and miss. The chicken burger looks good on paper but will leave you disappointed. The lounge burger is decent but again it’s a pre-made patty. Every time I’ve had the tapas it feels like it was made yesterday. The breakfast are filling but not that different from food truck outside an industrial estate. Drinks. They do make some excellent drinks, the service, speed, atmosphere, price and the fact there is no shortage of tables has me returning.

Just had the Miami brunch. Might just be the best breakfast I’ve ever had.

Im limited with food allergies on the choice on menu, but they are always accommodating and helpful.

Always great, good food good service lush atmosphere really good value. Just wish there was a better ale option live a decent pint with food and not have to resort to a can.

What absolutely outstanding staff Eliana and Ash Managed to drop my plate totally my fault The staff were so helpful ordered a new meal and were sorting everything out in seconds I dine in quite a few restaurants but have to say the food Bit most importantly the staff are a credit to the company Trust me on this come and try the menu and the welcome you get from the staff you will not be disappointed

Fantastic. We arrived on a very busy Saturday with 2 kids and we were greeted by staff in a welcoming and friendly manner. The staff did an amazing job of seating all who came in and even if they had to wait, the communication was excellent. All the staff were kind and polite with a shoutout to Ellie for her wonderful customer service. She and the other staff made what could have been a stressful time into a nice, relaxing, fun experience with my young kids. Will definitely come again.

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Service was quick and staff were very attentive. Manager Eliana ensured we were well looked after. Food delicious we had the Tapas. Also had a slice of lemon drizzle cake which was very moist and moorish lol. Portions were great, Tapas was hot and very tasty. Drank soda water but also had a sneaky Passion Fruit Martini which was delicious.

I thought for what you got, it was very expensive. Also I found what you charge for a bottle of wine extortionate.

The most welcoming place in Newport for good vibes. Family oriented- full of love and good food! Most staff seem like family to me and my son, we enjoy coming here as extended family :) X

The drago lounge is one of my favourite places in newport. Huge varied menu, only one had a bad meal which was sorted. Today, I had the garlic parm chicken wings and the chicken club sandwich. Both were delicious. The wings were so tasty. The sandwich was huge and filled to the brim. Drago is a constant for me locally

Love the lounges, always a relaxing atmosphere. Only popped in for a drink after a meal out. Staff on hand quickly and friendly to offer us seats and clear table. Love the little candles. Great place to take dogs too more so in the day time as gets super busy in the evenings 😊

Poor. Dreadful and unhelpful manager, who lacks information on food served, I would not go back. If you like to know what you are really eating, go elsewhere!

Went in for some cocktails with my girlfriend and the Lady behind the bar, I think her was Ashley, with the purple hair was so lovely! Helped me decide on the best cocktails, will definitely be back.

Have you heard of Basil Fawty? I’m sure the management at Fawlty Towers - would have been an improvement on the welcome and poor service our family received at the drago from the manager today! We are all still in shock, left without eating.

The food was okay, but nothing I'd go bad for. The kids didn't like the pizza as the base was very dry and the base sauce was heavily seasoned... The food wasn't awful, but nothing I'd go back for. There are many restaurants around this one that offer better tasting food for the same price. Sweet potato fries were nice. Very loud environment, probably more inviting for those on a night out, rather than sitting to talk over a meal.

I had lunch here today with friends and the service was incredible. Damien stood out for us as he recommended the best cocktails so we had several of them! Had us laughing wnr really added to the experience. We had the best time and we will be back!

We found Drago Lounge when we were visiting the area & so glad we did, we loved our dinner so much (beef brisket & Lebanese flatbread with sweet potato fries) we returned for brunch & again it was just as excellent - fab food, cocktails (especially mango tiki), great atmosphere, service & cost. Already recommended this place & found our local branch too.

Had tickets for the Riverside theatre and called here for the first time for a meal before the show. Friendly staff and was quite busy. Lovely food but we found it rather noisy needs some acoustic panels to absorb the noise as we were shouting to each other to be heard.

Really cosy in the evenings, candle lit tables. Food always delicious. I had a lamb shawarma flatbread which was delicious and only 640 odd calories (good for my post Xmas diet!) Staff mega friendly, delicious coctails. Plenty on offer for everyone.

Had our Xmas meal at Newports Drago Lounge last night , our waitress was absolutely lovely, food amazing would definitely recommend the Xmas menu , catered for gluten free really well.

Visited with my partner this week. This has become our go to place, either for food or just evening drinks. Every meal ordered is outstanding, from presentation to served pipping hot and tasty. Come here when in town as it has a quiet, relaxed atmosphere. Always have the Lounge Eggs with smoked back bacon and a pot of tea. Never disappointed.

1st time i had been and will definately be returning! We went on a tuesday early evening and it was nice and busy, great atmosphere, friendly competent staff, very tasty food (best burger ever!) And fab gluten free menu.

Went there this evening 4th November, there was 12 of us in total. Fab evening and food and service. Ben,Eliana, Dan, Kelly,Janos and Yulia were absolutely fantastic.

I was fortunate enough to visit this place this Thursday just gone as I fancied a spot of lunch. From the get go I was impressed. I was greeted by a very lovely member of staff who proceeded to show me to a table following some questions regarding my requirements. Once sat, the member of staff informed me that there were new additions to the menu which I was delighted to hear as I always like to keep things fresh and try new things. After a few minutes perusing the new menu I decided to go for the cauliflower curry. I was a little concerned that it may be a little too spicy but the girl was very helpful and well informed which put me at ease. The curry came out around 10 mins later and it looked and smelt delicious. I was asked if I needed anything else and told to let them know if there were any issues which there were not. Well, the curry didn't last long, it was so delicious I just couldn't stop eating it 😋 . Overall my experience was fantastic. Great service, great food and brilliant atmosphere. I will be visiting again very soon to try out the rest of the new menu.
