Wok & Box in Tameside

I have ordered from wok and box multiple times and have never had a problem, BUT tonight they royally took the Micky, my wife placed an order at 18:27. By 20:00 the food still hadn’t arrived so she called and was told he left 5 minutes ago and will be with us in next 10, 20 mins go by and still no food, my wife called again to be told the driver took a wrong turn and would be with us in 8 minutes, 15 minutes later the food arrived, after checking the food with the driver we found that it was barely warm so the driver said we would have to phone, my wife tried around 10 times to call but they never answered, the driver then phoned using his mobile and spoke to someone in his language, he then apologised and said they will make a fresh order…. This never arrived and they never answered the phone.. NEVER HAD THIS WITH THEM FROM 20+ previous orders!!! But I will not be ordering from here again after this

This place is one of my favourite takeaway places in Ashton. Good portion sizes and tasty. I recommend the dry chili chicken box which is my go-to. Sometimes it's a long wait (30mins on my last visit) so probably best to phone the order in beforehand.

We ordered from here at 8:47pm and the food didn’t come till 10pm, they kept changing delivery times and found hair in our food. Very disappointing.

I honestly did not expect the portions I received they were huge exactly the way I love them. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond. Definitely recommend!

Great food always hot pleasant staff

A topnotch food place in the town, if you are tired of having the same entertainment for your taste buds lets have an experience of this place, got in randomly, and then surprisingly amazed about the competitive pricing, one of the best food i have ever tried in this area, environment was pretty good & the most fascinating thing was they have an open kitchen, they just don't use anything frozen or off the peg, live ambrosial preparations can be seen, highly recommended if you are affectionate towards Chinese cuisine

If wok and box was a dish it would be good

The food was amazing especially the Hoisen and the firecracker wings and the workers and the women at the till were extremely nice and welcoming

Delivery from this place is always late, most times a bit late even though a time is specified. But consistently deliverint late is not acceptable when you spend a lot of money and children waiting.

The food is 10/10 we ordered a make your own box meal and Nasi Goreng and it was delicious and full of flavour! Will definitely be recommending to family & friends

the driver sat outside in their car for at least 10 mins doing nothing. I had a hungry child in the house, and because they sat there with my food it was cold and I was late for work. before you ask I know they were there because my dog barked when they pulled up, I looked out the window and saw them, then saw them around 10 mins later I saw them get out of the car and deliver my food when my dog barked again at their door closing. poor show.

I have visited 3 times and the food is amazing, full of flavour and fresh. The firecracker is my favourite so far. I have also tried the mangolian chicken and fish bites and they are very tasty. Highly recommend this place.

Food was good, just not as hot as it could have been. delivery was supposed to be between 20:00 and 20:20 yet arrived at 21:05. I rang them at 20:40 to find out where my food was and got fobbed off - saying it had just left and staff didn't seem to care and didn't want to do anything about it, offered discount on next order after I complained but didn't explain how I would get this discount

I ordered Mongolian Chicken with noodles, Bang Bang Cauliflower & and drink. The Chicken was really good. But the cauliflower was not good! Zero crisp on as it had been sat in a plastic container for ages so when I got it, it was soggy and to my disappointment they forgot my drink! The delivery driver could not find my street some how, even though he was at the top of it, meaning I had to guide him down to eventually get my order.

We have ordered from here many times before and never had any issues apart from the occasional missed item. We ordered sweet and sour chicken with noodles and hoisin beef with fried rice. We received sweet and sour veg with noodles and hoisin veg with noodles. My partner can't eat his as he is gluten intolerant which is why we requested rice. Tried calling the restaurant but it just rang and rang. It's a shame and won't be ordering from here again

lovely food but absolutely shocking wait time. I could've gone to the shop and bought the stuff myself and cooked it and I'd still have an hour spare before my order turned up

Lovely sweet and sour chicken box and was very pleased they listen to the notes I made on my order too. The salt and pepper chicken wings were amazing full of flavour the salt and pepper meatballs were nice but perhaps not something I'd get again and the chips were chips cant go wrong

Aside from the chips and the children’s fruit shoots missing; it was really nice, a bit late as they must have been busy but we were kept informed so that’s good too. Not the best experience we’ve had from here but the good far outweigh the bad.

I came here on the personal request of my beloved friend Qasim bhai he recommend and so right he was. I tried various foodbut my favourite is Dry chili Chicken. I have ordered for a delivery from Wok and box and both times the food has been delicious, the peanut satay chicken with nasi rice is so flavoursome and a perfect portion. The service has been amazing on both occasions and very friendly. A perfect meal at such a reasonable price🌟. Spring rolls are a must. Looking forward to trying something new next time 🙂

Horrible food won't be ordering again

Usually the food is great from here but bit of a letdown today. Bites were overcooked and the black bean chicken had some very spicy chillis in there. Wasn't like that last time I ordered a couple months ago

The food was very delightful. Even after one day, the noodles were fabulous, maybe even better.

The past few times we have ordered our food has been faultless, however tonight it was really disappointing. The katsu chicken and rice was stone cold, the chicken had absorbed all of the sauce and was cold and mushy. The chips were also cold. The only thing that wasn’t was the noodle boxes, they usually come piping hot yet today they were just warm. It was like the food had just sat out. Really not what we are used to from here and not worth the £37 for cold mushy food.

If you live in a tower block of flats don’t bother ordering coz they won’t bring it to you.

Really bad. The salt and pepper chicken bites and chips was laughably bad with no flavour and I’ve no idea what kind of chicken that was meant to be, but none of it had a salt and pepper taste. The beef chow mein tasted like a microwave meal. Spring rolls were passable but overall a really disappointing meal.

Ordered katsu curry with rice and chips and received batteted chicken and chips, rice was missing, and the curry sauce was standard curry sauce not katsu. Everything was cold.

My partner and I ordered the make your own box.....black bean chicken and sweet n sour chicken both with egg noodles.....absolutely delicious took no more than ten minutes, piping hot full of flavour....be going again very soon thank you xxx

Made my own wok box asked for beef got chicken instead but was still really nice flavours. Spring rolls not much flavour but cooked well and crispy 😊 which I like, salt and pepper chips 10/10

This place has amazing food, never had a problem until today. Don’t get me wrong, what I had was delicious as always but unfortunately this time the desserts (2 of them) were missing a 1 of the 2 orders of spring rolls was missing as well. They sent me these new firecracker crisps and they were AMAZING!! But the missing items really left a whole in my wallet and my stomach
