Wo Fat in Epping Forest

We originally visited this restaurant 5 years ago pre covid, the restaurant closed for eat in & only opened for takeaway. Both my wife & I were pleased to visit a couple of days ago & expected the food to be as good as it was pre-pandemic, we ordered the dishes that we wanted & in only 3 minutes the food arrived, the food had been pre-cooked & heated up so it was Not freshly cooked & had no taste to it. Where as I recommend this restaurant 5 years ago I would advise you NOT to go there now, the food is tasteless & not worth eating.

Ordered takeaway and told it would be an hour and a quarter. It turned up three hours later AFTER we had just eaten. We tried ringing but no answer. Delivery guy said they had taken the phones off the hook. Last time we use you WovFat

The best takeaway in Loughton. Fast and friendly service and good food. They recently re opened the restaurant and I can’t wait to eat in again.

Ordered food for delivery at 6:10 pm, nothing arrived so went down there at 8:30 pm only to find that everybody in the restaurant and walk-in takeaways were being served and no deliveries were even being attempted. Our orders had not even made it to the kitchen, there were so many complaints we told them to cancel our order and went elsewhere. They have a complete and total contempt for paying customers and trying to faine that they do not speak English when confronted over the diabolical service was the final nail in the coffin and just goes to show how far they will go and the disregard for paying customers AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If you want decent service go to the New Hong Kong instead!!!

Distinctly average food in general in my experience, but what was really disappointing was the quality of the chicken. Tasteless and Literally like chewing rubber.

I think they only do only take away or delivery these days, but I have used them for years. The only authentic and quality Chinese in Loughton. Established for donkey's years, they are old fashioned, proper Chinese food. I tried at Chinese New Year and gave up on the phone. Yes they may be slower than most, but do you want your food cooked in 5 minutes? Highly recommended.

Having been coming here for over 20 years I thought it was best I leave a review. Since doing takeaway only it has kept the same standard of food and the service is still fabulous. I cannot explain how delicious and well cooked the food is! Not greasy in the slightest and the crispy duck is to die for.

The absolute worst customer service. The guy is so rude. I ordered aromatic duck and it was fatty and not cooked properly, when I called to complain, he basically called me a liar and told me that there wasn’t anything he would do. When I told him I was going to throw it in the bin and I would be without food, his reply was “okay then”. We thought we would try again, my partner called this time and the same man was so rude to him. He said he couldn’t hear him, so my partner raised his voice to read out the card number to which the guy said “maybe if you spoke up earlier we wouldn’t have this problem”. His tone and attitude suck. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. We’ve now gone elsewhere.

After moving to Loughton 18 months ago me and my friends have been searching for the best Chinese and we have finally found it. Great flavours, fresh food and decent pricing. We will be back.

Ordered a Delivery. It took an hour and a half as they were busy. It was worth the wait. Absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty food. I couldn’t fault it and will definitely order again.

Visited this restaurant in February and found the food extremely delicious. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very attentive with the service never had to wait for too long. Quite a family environment.

Orders delivery was told 30 minutes , 1hour 20 minutes later food comes food cold phone up ask what’s going to go on and told me they would take food back and re cook absolutely shambols

Wnt to this resturant for chinese new year and as laways it was packed. We have takeways for here and although it is quite a distance from us it's worth the travel (and taxi cost £30.00), but ias we both intended on celebrating, it was a must. Now on to the food....the wife persuaded me to go for the lobster special, the most expensive set menue on the list, she always did have good taste. Starter was crab & sweetcorn soup 8/10, followed by scollops in their shell 7/10 (only because they were small), next was the lobster, which was OK 8/10 (I feel that lobster in general isn't good value for the money). The final dish was sizzling king prawn, served with fried rice with shrimps and whole steamed fish 9/10. With wines and coffee it was not cheap, but good food never is.

Ordered takeaway, 2 mains and two hot and sour soups. Was disappointed and disgusted when found someone’s nail in the soup. Returned all order back, staff not even apologised. Our dinner and evening was ruined. Will never ever visit this place again and would never recommend.

We ate here last week as a family. Really fantastic food and service. Clean, friendly and very tasty with an extensive menu. I'd highly recommend.

We was recommended this restaurant and boy did it not let us down. Despite the surroundings are slightly dated, from the moment you walk in the door the staff are attentive and helpful. The food is probably amongst the best we have ever had, the portion sizes are good too. We started with the mixed food platter for 3 and the lamb in lettuce, we eat every bit between the 4 of us enjoyed every mouthful and knew we wasn't going to have a lot for mains!! Despite not having a drinks licence the staff fridge your drinks and are attentive to when you need a top up. Thanks to all the staff and we will definitely be back.

Great food and service in no frills restaurant. Decor is dated but clean and food more than makes up for it. Staff happy to help and caters for all ages. Tonight it was especially busy so was noisy as few family birthdays being celebrated there but staff kept up service. Only time we've felt cramped there but fact it's always busy, shows how good food is.Good prices too.

We had a reasonably pleasant meal at this restaurant and due to their licence being revoked we took our own alcoholic drinks with us which consisted of four beers and a bottle of red wine. The four beers were consumed and only about half of the bottle of red wine. We were a party of three. The beers being consumed by the two males and less than half of bottle of wine by me. When the staff cleared the table we placed the half full bottle of wine into a bag (not a carrier bag) on the floor at the side of a chair. On leaving the restaurant we forgot the bag and wine. We had gone no more than 1 minute’s walk when we realised our error and my husband retuned to retrieve the bag and wine. The bag was no longer where it had been placed so he approached the counter to ask for our property only to find the manageress and a member of staff laughing and consuming the wine. One member of the kitchen staff had a glass full but the manageress was dinking from the bottle. My husband left in disbelief. I rang the restaurant to speak with the Manager to reprove my bag and complain about his staff drinking our wine but he proceeded to fob me off with the excuse that this was a misunderstanding. I told him there was No misunderstanding HIS employees had stolen my wine and bag. To say I am liviid would be an understatement. The moral of this message is don’t leave anything in this restaurant. They wont treat it as lost property.

Had a lovely evening - food was really good quality fresh flavours and clean surroundings. A little bit squashed in terms of space and legroom but really attentive service. Overall I think it proved value for money but no license so you need to take your own booze!

This use to be a great Chinese, but the last few years have seen it slip down and down. From the outdated decor to the poor service. use to be a regular for years, but the last few visits have not been good enough, the quality of the food has been poor, skimping on portions filling dishes with uncooked onions. on a side note not sure who cuts the onions for the dishes, looks like something my little one has cut- no uniformity which means they're never going to cook evenly.

We went to wo fat with our friends for dinner and had a lovely evening. Very nice Chinese meal. Very tasty and good size portion. Very good value and friendly service.

We went to celebrate a 16th birthday at Wo Fat this evening and we were very impressed. The food was excellent, the staff were very friendly and attentive and generally there was a great atomosphere. We will certainly be returning - highly recommend!

This restaurant serves the "standard" range of Chinese cuisine similar to a run of the mill takeaway. The restaurant is nice, if a bit dated, and service was friendly and fast enough when we visited. For some reason they play Magic FM as their background music - kind of ruined the ambience for me, especially when the adverts are on!

Just left after a terrible visit. The service has always been slow which is why we haven’t been for a while but we had always liked the food. This time we ordered hot and sour soup to start which was nice although took 3/4 hour to arrive. After another half hour and us asking what was happening we received was was meant to be 1/4 crispy duck. Small plate of tiny bits of cold dry duck which wasn’t shredded in front of us like most Chinese restaurants do. It was inedible and we sent it back. No apology. Sullen service, which ignores the customers in the restaurant whilst sending out loads of takeaway orders. We cancelled the main course and left an hour and a half after we arrived. Now in PizzaExpress up the road to get something edible. I would advise people to give this place a miss.

My husband and I have been going to the Wo Fat for over 30 years.

Food and service just superb been here many times and always looked after Starters were great and all the mains were superb The owner is always so welcoming and friendly The only downside is the decor is now looking very tired could do with a revamp

Great food as always.....large portions, hot food and fast service. 10% discount too on Mondays....win win. Recommend to all. Family of 6 aged from 11 to 72. All loved it.

First visit here for many years. My mum loves chinese, so went with whole family. 20 of us. Place looks tired and a little shabby. Food very average. Disappointing as sadly most chinese restaurants seem to be these days. Rely to heavily on over rich tacky sauces on poor quality food. Not for me again.

This was our third visit in a year and the most unenjoyable. And the reason was simple - the captive audience in the restaurant had to wait while the take away service took precedence. While our party of 9 waited, the take away delivery man was in and out every 10 minutes. So what had been an enjoyable visit previously became a case of trying to catch the waitresses eye and ask 'where is our food ? ' And the food seemed less tasty than before. Sorry to say it, but Wo Fat has lost my custom.

We had a family table booking at 6pm on August bank holiday the service was bad and 2 of our party one of which is diabetic did not get their main course at all due to a mix up in the kitchen. We told them not to bother in the end as we had waited 2 hours and some of our party had to leave. We thought that they couldn't cope with a full restaurant at all. We will not be returning.

The food is always well cooked and well presented . The mixed starter is always hot & Tasty All very hot & Lovely but and here’s the big but ......The inside needs redecoration and updating from walls to floors need urgent attention

This was my 3rd visit to this Chinese restaurant over the years. As I remembered the food tasted good and the service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Evening meal at our favourite Chinese restaurant in Loughton. On this occasion, and the only time I was not impressed with the food. Credit card machine was not working, not a big deal. But the food? What happened??? Portions shrunk and quality was inferior to the usual standard. And by the way prices have creeped up. Spent more than usual for the same items and one extra person. Hopefully this was just a bad day. Will give it another go to be sure. Disappointing to say the least.

Have ordered my Chinese takeaway from here a couple of times now and it is by far my favourite Chinese takeaway. Normally get it from a Chinese up the road from me (Jasmins) but Wofats always seems far better. Better flavours, not as greasy and just tastier. Would defo recommend getting your takeaway from here.

Wo fat is definitely one of my favourite spot when I am craving for Chinese food. Worth the travel and very reasonable prices. Filling portion and delicious dishes. Can not recommend enough.

Been using this restaurant for a long time and yes it could do with a little makeover but I Would not like it to change from the friendly busy experience and the food is really good every time .

If you like 80s styling and power ballads on the radio then this place will be right up your street.I’m not so fussed on the looks of the place as long as the food is good and it’s clean which it is. Food comes out hot and tasty and the place is always clean and tidy. The only thing that lets it down for me is the staff are very cold not a lot of personality.overall pretty good and not to expensive.

Ordered takeaway to be delivered. Extra directions were given but arrived after half hour all pipping hot and absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend and will be ordering again soon.

Went for a birthday party and this restaurant has been around as long as I can remember. Food is typical western style Chinese great choice and always busy, the food is served very quickly and efficiently. Sunday and Mondays they give discounts so are very busy then. Probably the best local Chinese around. Very reasonably priced too.

Love it! Proper old fashioned Chinese in Loughton. We keep going back. Very generous portions, be careful what you order, you may well be taking out doggie bags. Always seems busy with people tucking into table fulls of Chinese cuisine. Very thick prawn toast with good filling and sesame seeds, good shredded duck (I think that is a good benchmark for Chinese), loads of choice of set or Ala carte on menu.

Without doubt I received the best service EVER at my last trip to this busy Chinese restaurant. The service I received defined what service should be. A menu was promptly delivered with prawn crackers to be getting on with. As soon as my wife and I decided what we want the waitress arrived and took our order. This included tea (for two) and a beer, which arrived promptly. The food all arrived together, again promptly, and the Chinese tea pot was refilled as required. It was as if the waitress could read our minds, she always turned up just when we wanted something, but, didn't bother us when we didn't. When we wanted the bill, again the subtlest gesture (again almost telepathy), attracted the waitress and then the bill. Being ignored by staff has always been a bug bare for me, but not here. However, I've always been uncomfortable with over attention (where just about every member of staff asks if everything is ok countless times), and there was none of that here, just a spookily efficient service.

Lovely food and great service. Went on a Monday night and they offer 10% off your bill. Does get busy later on so if you want a quiet meal, go at the start of the night.

Went with my wife and four kids and had what is the worst chinese meal ever! The server was rude, the order was wrong and poor quality food that was lukewarm and tasteless. Will be giving this one a miss!

Really went all out to make sure party went well including singing happy birthday. The food was really tasty, the staff friendly and prices good. Will definitely be going back.

I've never eaten in the restaurant but we order take away from here all the time.Always high quality and it doesn't have an overly gloopy texture like some placesThe beef in oyster sauce is amazing.The only downside is the sweet and sour pork was a bit disappointing. As this is usually my favourite I wish it was a bit nicer.If you are ordering a take away in Loughton I highly recommend using this place. Will have to try eating in the restaurant at some point.

This is our local Chinese restaurant, we have been coming in here for years. We came here this evening for a family meal as on Sundays they offer 25% discount.We looked on their website to check this offer still applied on a bank holiday before calling and booking a table. The website confirmed the discount only excludes Mothering Sunday and Christmas. When we received the bill, the discount hadn't been applied. The owner said the website hadn't been updated but they had changed their policy and the discount no longer applied. The staff became very rude and abrupt. We paid for our food but asked for a copy of our bill. They said they had to keep the bill for VAT refunds which sounds strange to me as this was a hand written bill. We took the bill with us, the staff tried to prevent us from leaving.We won't be coming back here again after the appalling customer service we received

Always a good takeaway and we get a good deal through our work. Always fast, always get freebies, bit too nice as my bottom is expanding!! Staff can be a bit grumpy when they are busy!

Been to Wo Fats many times over the course of last 15 years.It's now showing its age and is very dated inside and in need of re-furb as not change over the years. Carpets etcFood is otherwise nice but pending on date of the week quality differs.

My husband and I were looking for a place to eat after our arrival back into London from Stansted Airport. We came across Wofat on Tripadvisor and headed there. The service was wonderful, very friendly and made us feel welcome. Food was delicious - the best Chinese we've had in a long time. Thank you for a lovely end to our holiday.

I loved the set menu here. Tremendous value. £20 per person for mixed starters, duck and main. Generous portions, freshly cooked and all tasted amazing.

We were celebrating my wife's birthday with 11 close family, so chose this restaurant as some of them were regulars here. We were not disappointed with either the food or the service. The various dishes we ordered were all excellent and served piping hot. The European waitresses did a fine job and no-one had to wait too long to eat. The prices here are fair for both food and drinks and the restaurant has a fun atmosphere. The usual Happy Birthday singing and cake ended the evening nicely.Well done to Wo-Fat.

Having lived in Loughton for almost three years this was my first visit to Wo Fat and after hearing good things I was very much looking forward to it, especially as Asian cuisine is one of my favourites. Admittedly, we arrived rather late on a Saturday night, around 10pm, so the restaurant was reasonably quiet and we were seated very quickly by a smiley waitress. The initial reaction to the restaurant itself was that it looked a little drab and unloved. It’s obviously in need of a bit of a refurb but I certainly wouldn’t hold this against them if the food was as good as I was expecting.While we put in our order of mixed hors d'oeuvres, Kung Po Chicken, Beef with Black Bean and Egg Fired Rice The Jackson Five were playing, albeit way too loud on the stereo. I like a bit of 60’s RnB so the excessive volume wasn’t so much of a problem, however what followed the talented foursome was 4 minutes of PPI, Check-A-Trade and various other adverts. We were listening to Smooth FM. After every couple of power ballads, another dose of annoying adverts. I’ve obviously got nothing against the radio, but how hard is it to put on a CD or a playlist in a restaurant, it was driving me crazy! It culminated with our mains being served to the advert for VIPOO the “pre poo toilet spray”, which somewhat ruined my appetite. I wish I could say the food was the saving grace, however, it was average at best.The final nail in the coffin of the evening was the waitress clearing our table with a mouthful of food, struggling to ask if we needed anything else. It was late, so the staff were eating their dinner in the restaurant, however, they could have least finished their mouthful of chow mein before talking.We ordered the bill and took the majority of food home. We definitely will not be coming back to Wo Fat, but I’m sold on a can of VIPOO.

Sadly the standard has slipped. Saying that, it is good Chinese, just not as good as it used to be. The staff seem disinterested and the food is rushed out, as though they want you out quicker than you came in.

We lived in Loughton for many years and used the wo fat on a few occasions. Looking for a good Chinese restaurant I suggested this one again, on memory. Basically it hasn't changed in many years, probably since I first went there. The decor is so tired, it was snoring. The service was pleasant enough, but everyone was continuously busying around you, it got annoying. We ordered the set a menu for two. Reasonably priced. To be honest the chicken was bland and rubbery, not lovely, the prawns were so drenched in garlic, they were holding their own noses! The rest was as you would expect from a half decent takeaway. Most of the order, we did take away, however even next day we didn't have the stomach for it, and it went in the bin.All in all, it wasn't a place I would recommend to anyone. We shall not be returning.

Lovely food, quick service and the food isn't greasy like with alot of takeaways I've had. This was perfect and the duck and sauce was perfect. Staff are always friendly and food comes hot and fresh and doesn't take long to come at all.

The owner & the staff provide a super service.Overall Wo Fat visit is a joy & great value .We highly recommend Wo Fat.

My family and a couple of our friends went to Wo Fat for New Years.The service on the evening and the food were absolutely spectacular. The vegetarian options I had were out of this world, and I was extremely impressed. My family and friends are meat eaters and they also praised the food and the ambiance.Some reviews say the place was a bit tired, and I agree the restaurant should do some redecorating to bring a few things back to life.Our food was not garlicky, and the seasoning was what one should expect from a Chinese restaurant.I would never consider leaving Wo Fat without paying for our meals. Not one single meal was badly cooked.I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.We had a fantastic time.

Having chosen this restaurant based on the great reviews on Tripadvisor, we were very dissapointed with our visit. The restaurant was very tired looking inside, as noted in previous reviews. The staff were very attentive & the service was quick. We did ask for guidance on the menu as one of our party reacts badly to MSG, having already checked when booking that dishes could be made without adding it. I know that curry sauces etc are bought in and therefore it's unavoidable, but unfortunately everything we chose based on it being freshly cooked had already been either marinated in it (King prawn noodles) or it was already added in preparation by the kitchen (vegetable spring rolls). The food was very greasy & I guess the anticipation made it all the more dissapointing.

This place is always packed so we decided to see what the fuss is about.My hubby ordered duck to start and I ordered chilli mushroom, plus we ordered veggie pancake rolls to share. The duck arrived within minutes but nothing else arrived.They started setting up for the main meals yet my starter still had not arrived.My starter and the veggie pancake roll arrived with the main meal so my main meal was going cold while I ate my starter.My hubby enjoyed his sizzling seafood but they gave him beef noodles instead of beef rice. The rice arrived after he finished so was not needed. He shared my plain noodles in the end.I was surprised there were not more errors as I asked (for example) for 112 and he repeated back mange tout.My main was terrible. The choice for vegetarians and vegans was slim to none. I ordered mixed veg and it was so overdosed in garlic I could not taste anything else. It overpowered the meal and I couldn't eat it, plus it was starting to go cold from arriving at the same time as the starter.Chinese tea was topped up regularly.Felt very rushed from start to finish.Won't go back. Our local takeaway is better than this and a fraction of the price.

My husband, myself, and a couple of our friends booked a table at Wu Fat on New Years Eve.I have read a couple of negative reviews here, and I must say i COMPLETELY disagree with them. There was one review where a lady refused to pay her bill at the end, after 3 meals...absolutely disgusting behevior...I would also have banned her from ever coming back.But going back to my own experience.We enjoyed ourselves so much I wouldn't think twice about spending another New Years Eve there again.The service was incredible, and the staff were super friendly and attentive, and they really tried to make us happy during the evening.I am vegetarian, and wow, they really accomodated that. The food was brilliant.My other three companions were eat meaters and they really loved their foods as well.It was the best Chinese meal I have ever had.

My friend and I visited wo fat for a NYE meal. As soon as we arrived we were rushed to make an order as they had anticipated that it would be an extremely busy evening. We ordered the mixed starter which was somewhat decent although I found bones in my boneless satay chicken skewer, the bbq ribs were bland and the fried chicken strips tasted more like fried squid! We got our mains in sections, half first, a quarter after 10 mins and the last quarter arrived another 10 mins later. The sweet and sour king prawns were bland and soggy, the "wo fat special fried rice" tasted more like boiled rice with peas, no more than 5 prawns and boiled chicken pieces. The chicken chow mein was edible but bland and lacked seasoning. The WINGS, sorry... the "salt and chilli wings" were absolutely ghastly!!! Smelt and tasted too garlicky, no salt at all and didn't even look like wings! The night gets worse... when attempting to complain to a member of staff she just walked off . After around 8 mins we began to grow impatient and started to look around... this must have grasped their attention. A man approached us and asked the problem, when we started he was very irritable and defensive... another member of staff felt that it was acceptable to gawp at us. When told that we didn't need an audience, he said she was his supervisor.. once we managed to get rid of her, he said the food was meant to be soggy and bland and was "his style"... we were then gawped at by a further two members of staff as the man's irritable tone drew attention.. he also went on to say that he was the manager and that more than one person was to handle the complaint!!! When I said I was not happy to pay for three of the worst dishes the "manager" said I had to pay. I refused to pay for such poor quality food and then told us to get out!! To which we agreed.. he then followed us out of the resturant, banned us for life and then swore at us!! I wouldn't advise anyone to bother at wo fat... absolutely terrible, they need closing down. The only bright side is we didn't have to pay for the atrocity that they call food. Say NO to Wo fat !!! ABSOLUTELY RUBBISH!!

Firstly my friend called to book a table, the man informed her they were fully booked. I tried 2 minutes later & they miraculously had a table to accommodate. Upon arrival at 6pm (when table was booked for) I was told by 2 different members of staff we had to vacate the table by 8pm. Sat down, in the space of less than 10 minutes, was asked by 4 members of staff whether I wanted a drink. (No coordination or direction for staff what so ever.) We felt like we were being rushed from the get go. Not the best way to spend what was supposed to be a chilled out evening. For the starters we ordered the sharing platter. This was ok but lacked seasoning. The fried chicken strips were unrecognisable from taste. Wasn't sure if it was fish/chicken tbh!The mains arrived separately. First the rice and the prawns. Next the noodles. Then halfway through our meal the wings. We had ordered the "wo fat special fried rice" but there was nothing special about it. It wasn't even fried! It was plain boiled rice with a few pieces of bodied prawns and boiled chocked in it. No flavour, no seasoning, nothing!The sweet & sour battered prawns were soggy. Not crispy like they should be. The salt & chilli wings were abysmal. No salt & no chilli. Just garlicky. They also had a wierd smell to them. A little bit of salt would have given everything at least a little life! My friend & I were not happy with the poor quality food we were being served. So we told a near by waitress we were not contempt with the quality of food we had to endure. She walked off looking very put out. After 10 minutes of sitting & waiting, we began to get annoyed. So we call someone else over, who then calls someone else over. When the 3rd man approaches the table, he asks what is wrong. My friend tries to explain, then he calls another member of staff over to the table. When asked why 2 people were needed to sort this issue out, apparently Wo Fat need 2 members of staff to handle 1 complaint. When explaining about the poor quality food, the man offered no apology & seemed to be irate that someone might not like his food. His response to the poor quality food was that it was "his style". The man who then went on tell us he was the manager, kept telling us we were wrong & that the food was supposed to taste like that. The "manager" looked like he was contempt in making a scene. We stated that we were not happy to pay for the 3 dishes out of the 6 that we were completely dissatisfied with. He then got really angry & told us we were bad customers & to leave straight away. He clicked his fingers & 6 members of staff snatched away our plates. We were ushered out of the restaurant, followed by the "manager" who screamed profanities at us. Never returning & advise others to stay away!

Wo Fat is my definite favourite place to order takeaway or eat in Chinese food. Is a little pricier than other local options but well worth it. Slightly slow service but again well worth it. Love!!!

The food is absolutely delicious every time I come here and its all for a reasonable price. Selection of drinks isn't too bad but the selection and quality of food makes the effort to get there worth it

We've visited multiple times as it's known to be one of, if not the best Chinese restaurant in the area!It's quite a big restaurant which copes comfortably with big bookings. Tables are quite close together but the atmosphere is good so it doesn't feel too bad. The decor is nice apart from the plastic jugs they have always served water in, which could be updated! Food is very quick and always lives up to expectations. 25 percent off at certain times on a Monday and I think Sunday.We will be back again!

Fabulous meal, great service, well priced and a perfect place for a long lunch. Waiting staff totally in tune with the customer. Steamed sea bass was out of this world, squid cooked perfectly I could go on and on.

Went there with my cousins. It was a surprise since they knew I loved Chinese. I must say it was the best meal I had in my 10 days stay. I still dont know which menu they ordered but everything was just perfect from the duck to the sesame prawns on toast.. It was the first time at a Chinese that I could not eat because I was so full! The place was packed but the atmosphere was just perfect. People are friendly and the service is efficient. I would love to go there again! Make sure you book before you go!

The best Chinese food locally both to eat in and takeaway. Good quality food that tastes amazing. Great staff and service

We looked through Trip Advisor for a local Chinese answer WoFat looked that is was worth a try and booked a table keep for 6pm , I wasn't going g to book thinking it would not be busy .how wrong was I ? They were turning people away , the food and service was the best and obviously well known for it plenty of well cooked food . But make sure you book first .one of the best Chinese restaraunts I have been to

Never disappointed with this family favourite. Have been coming for over 10 years and have not had a bad meal yet, even order delivery regularly and it's always delivered hot and fresh off the cooker. We have so many favourite dishes, can't name them all but I would definitely recommend Wo Fat if you're looking for Chinese food in Loughton.

I like the food at Wo Fat we get it a lot for a take away, I just can't stand how they speak to you on the phone which is rushed and rude it can easily put you off from ordering from them
