I specifically asked for no beansprouts and this wasn’t adhered to so my meal was inedible

Chose to order from here as my usual Chinese wasn’t answering the phone. Can happily say I was not disappointed at all! Food was sublime, good portions, good spice, full of flavour, absolutely amazing.will definitely be ordering from here again

I have just had a take away and have to say that is my was the worse food I have had

Don’t usually have any issues when collecting but when delivered our whole order was cold - Ribs where chewy and tasted like oil not bbq, lemon chicken was extremely sour and mini spring rolls stale

Crispy noodles were not crispy. Pancake rolls tasted weird and undercooked

Ordered the beef in black bean sauce. The beef did not taste like it was freshly cooked. It tasted like it had been quickly defrosted and tossed in the sauce. The Singapore rice noodles were way too salty. Very disappointed

Chow Mein was burnt the soup had no flavour and no prawn crackers delivered!

Waited over 1.5 hours! When food arrived 1 dish missing. Contacted Just Eat to complain and absolutely nothing was done and nobody got back to me

Food was good apart from getting given a chow mein that had prawns in it instead of being a chicken chow mein like ordered, it's a good thing no one is allergic, just not pleasant picking them out of the food

Not only did the delivery driver turn up late he also put that the food was delivered within the time schedule in the app so it looked like it was delivered on time when it wasn’t! He was also very rude when he did eventually turn up no apology nothing

Order took over 2 hours to arrive. Ended up eating at 9.50pm. Called twice. Not impressed

Always forget something from the order and it’s never less than 2 hours for delivery even if they say otherwise always try to blame just eat but it’s them not being able to manage the amount of orders. Can always hear them screaming at each other when you call for an update saying to start cooking it….wouldn’t recommend

Never sure what to expect from this place there are only a couple of Chinese restaurants in Waltham Abbey Sometimes good but in December, We had ordered for delivery the food seemed rushed not very cooked & soggy sometimes always a wait of nearly 1 hour 30 mins on a Saturday I think they are processing too many orders or do not have enough drivers so should stop taking orders! It’s a shame as it’s the better choice in that area Price is fair but the quaility could be better alongside cooking there food for longer nothing worse then undercooked

Large portions, food arrived hot and big bag of prawn crackers added to your order for free (depending on order size/cost). The duck chow mien is one of the best I’ve ever had, loads of flavour, not too much salt or oil. Delivery is a bit of a wait but standard for a busy Friday night, got here within specified time so can’t really complain!

I have been eating here since the 90's. Lovely tasty food. Really good prices never felt overcharged for what we have had. Exceptionally clean. Always a fast friendly service. Now that I live further away I still drive the 25 miles to eat at the phoenix waltham Abbey. It's the best Chinese food restaurant as far as I am concerned. Take my mother here too she always enjoys her visit. Thank you phoenix don't ever change. :)

Amazing, food arrived hot and fresh. I've ordered quite a number of times from this restaurant, and they've yet to disappoint.

Ordered takeaway from here tonight. Worst service ever. Order arrived wrong called to get it corrected yet they insist this is what I ordered even though I don’t eat the dish they sent never have and I order the same thing everytime I call. Rude and unnecessary. I can either pay to get my correct dish delivered or the Will give me free prawn crackers next time? What a waste of time and energy my husband is now going to take the food back for a full refund. They have not agreed to this but he will have his refund. Good luck if you order from this awful place.

Really tatsy food ... and good portion sizes too ... would happily use again ... only moan would be delivery time ... when ordering it was suggesting c60 mins ... ended up being near to 90 mins !!

Awful. 2 chow means with very little meat. Tasteless. Ribs flavourless. Chicken wings were hard and all to the cost of £37.30. Awful. Never again.

Rude manager refused to serve coffee to complete our birthday dinner at 10.40, when they don't shut until 11pm. ....spoilt our evening with his attitude.

Food arrived an TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATE! Called the restaurant to get an update after an hour and was told the food wasn’t even cooked yet, they said it would be another 20 minutes. Called again after another hour and was told it would be 15 minutes…..30 minutes later the food arrived. POOR POOR POOR SERVICE

I love their Singapore Noodles 🍜 they're the best I've had.

Had a takeaway for Mother's day. Got home with our food and it was fantastic. Staff where great and helpful. Will give more stars if I could. Recommended

Worse takeaway ever , cold , I ordered duck in plum sauce & it was disgusting didn’t taste nice as for it being in a plum sauce it was not in a plum sauce , I opened the box & the sauce looked like gelatine it was a thick jelly like sauce it was a light orange colour & it wasnt nice the duck was awful one bite & that was enough , our noodles was cold but they would be as waited over an hour for the delivery , it was a big disappointment. It no star from me , woman on phone at restaurant was so rude when I told her about the sauce . The food went into the bin & I ended up cooking . Thanks Phoenix, Chinese restaurant for an awful takeaway & it was money down the drain . I never complained but had to this time .

I use them regularly. The first time I used them years ago they listened to a complaint I made, that "bought" my respect. Their food is really tasty, and I will recommend them any day and all day.

We ordered a takeaway at 6pm it arrived 1.45 minutes later. Was told an hour. The large pancake rolls only had beansprouts in them, no chicken, pork or shrimp. Food overly salty. Have no idea why its so salty. Not happy will not be ordering again. Avoid at all costs

The food was nice. But I had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes. It's only 3 miles away. Also, the restaurant doesn't update the app to when the food is on its way. 10 minutes after I had received the food, then I got a message saying it was on its way....this needs sorting out because it's not the first time I have used this restaurant.

The food arrived after an hour of it being ordered. Special rice and chicken rice were very bland. The shredded chilli beef was too slimy and chewy like it had been over cooked more than once. Satay chicken stir fry was ok. We were very disappointed and would not order from here again.

This is by far the best Chinese we’ve found since moving here. Every dish is amazing. Won’t go to any other Chinese now!

Just eat said 45-60 mins for delivery, once the order was placed this went up to an hour and a half. The food was ok not terrible but not worth the wait.

Pre ordered at 5:30 for a 6:45 delivery didn’t turn up till 7:50 stone cold and inedible. Don’t bother

Had a very good meal here last Saturday I was worried about the reviews as we have such high standards when it come to food But it was very tasty and fresh It was a party of 10 for my sister in laws birthday We all order separately Me and hubby had Special fried rice Singapore noodles Curry sauce Soup and satay chicken All lovely We even dug in to some sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style of which was very tasty We would definitely go back again if we are in the area again

Delivery took way over an hour and was disappointed that the portions were small. However, the special fried rice was delicious so fresh but then the egg fried rice was literally mush. Salt and chilli Ribs were absolutely delicious so was the black bean but curry was lumpy and chicken was inedible such a shame because the quality of the good food was incredible but the food that wasnt was basically chucked away.

Just got a takeaway and I have to say absolutely foul salt and pepper chicken and ribs the garlic was off phone to complain and they said deal with It I told them come and pick it all up and they said they can’t offord to refund me even thou it was so bad we couldn’t eat it DO NOT GO HERE OR ORDER FROM THIS VILE PLACE the man on the phone needs another job away from people rude rude rude not even a sorry never again looks like dog food but dog food probably tastes better

What a disappointing evening, from start to finish. The restaurant was cold, the lighting was terrible. Blue LED wall lights which made your dinner look raw. We had to send back 3 dishes as they were wrong, not cooked and tasted like the cook had washed the chicken with washing up liquid. Please save your money and time by eating somewhere else of staying in! The best bit about the evening was when we got home and had a nice cuppa and a bacon sandwich 😉

If I could leave a 0 star I would. The staff are rude and make you feel rushed, the food was rubbish and mostly bland, the atmosphere was non existent. Horrible blue lights that makes everything look anemic and the whole restaurant looks and feels like a back street cafe. Should have been buzzing on a Saturday night but with just 3 tables being served (including ours)… says it all…!! We will never go back here again!!

Food stated delivered but no food arrived, called restaurant who contacted the driver, food finally arrived 45 minutes after it should of done and was totally cold, definitely would not order again.

I found a bone and lots of bone fragments in my vegetarian dish. Absolutely disgusting

My favourite Chinese place, just had lunch here, Jasmine Tea, chicken and sweetcorn soup, and egg fried rice with chicken in black bean sauce, absolutely delicious! Been here before for the buffet and definitely recommend! Without a doubt the best Chinese I've ever been too.....
