Witney Kebab House in West Oxfordshire

Oh dear, very disappointing. Been going to Witney Kebab House for years and there has been a drop in quality recently culminating in recent visit Sunday 21st of July 2024 after spending a nice evening in the pub. We ordered a small chicken kebab - which at least was cooked from fresh - a medium doner kebab and portion of chips, straight away noticed there was no salad out at all at the front of the counter as there normally is - odd I thought - but I thought the staff may be getting it from the back as I asked for all salad for each kebab which they confirmed. Then as we turned away they got the boxes with our food closed, after asking what sauces, and passed us the bag then we walked home. When we opened each of the kebabs at home each was just the meat, pitta and sauce with no salad. Chicken was OK, as were chips,but doner meat was dry & reheated & tasteless, but never had a kebab in my life with no salad and realised not brilliant without it! And we were charged £19.50 for it! Last time I use Witney Kebab House. The end.

My kebab was in the tray but the pitta was just placed in the bottom with everything piled on top. How are you supposed to hold and eat this?

Ordered online picked it up, instead of chicken kebab, doner kebab and potato wedges. We got 2 doner kebabs, some hot wings and 2 boxes of cabbage! How strange! I phoned and politely asked for exchange or refund, he rudely insisted that’s what I ordered!!! They would not be exchanging it as that is what I ordered! WTF!!! Would never go here for food again they messed our order up so they should have changed it and they need to learn some manners and respect for paying customers!!!!!! Do not give these awful disrespectful people your money! There’s a fried chicken shop next door! Much nicer food and polite friendly staff.

We ordered a takeaway on a Friday night, it arrived promptly we ordered a mixed kebab, 2 chips and chesse and 2 piece of chicken. It arrived promptly the mixed kebab contained doner with 3 bits of chicken and the chicken we ordered must have been last nights or doubled fried as it was all dry and cremated on the outside..... please see pictures. Its really gone downhill lately no wonder delivery within 20 mins .... we called them up after delivery about the chicken and they told us it was a new breadcrumb and the chicken was fresh!!! We won't order from there again 😒

Home alone and fancied a Doner kebab for my dinner. I wasn’t disappointed the kebab was great tasty and good value for money £7 for a large. Shame it was cash only. The staff could do with a bit of customer relations training as I found them a rude

Usual kebab shop I go to was shut so I came here and was not disappointed. Good size and tasted good.

Last resort this place. Should've known not to expect too much. Burgers well undercooked, chips a bit ropey. The can of coke was good.

Food was 10mins later than expected (not bad) but got wrong drink and food wasn’t warm Very big portions though

Ordered online from here and within 10 minutes they called to confirm the address as they didn’t know where it was. Explaining where it was just didn’t seem to sink in with them and then the driver turned up with the food and was very rude and kept saying what’s the address as you have miss spelt it. When we opened the food we found the food was wrong as both the kebabs had lamb in them and only one should have had it and the other one should have been double chicken. I would not be ordering from here again.

I called and ordered a delivery and was quoted 30-45 mins, i gave full directions and 2 telephone numbers for the driver to call should he struggle to locate us. after an hour i called and was told that the pizzas had left the shop, and the guy said he would call the driver to check how long it would be. i waited on the phone and he promptly hung up? i stood around outside for 10 mins waiting for him before calling again, i did mention that i had waited on the phone while he called his driver and that he had hung up and he said that the driver had not answered and that he would try him again. i asked for him to not hang up this time and update me after the call. i also asked how long ago the pizzas had left the shop and he replied 20 mins. i did point out that we are less than 5 minutes away and when he came back on the phone he said he was still unable to contact his driver. he asked that i waited a further 5 minutes which i said i would but that i was also aware that the pizzas had left the shop a good 25 minutes ago by this point and that i would wait 5 minutes and if it did not arrive then that i would want to cancel my order..... he then said ok i will cancel the order and hung up the phone on me again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REALLY i have sat and waited for over an hour with 2 hungry children and now the Witney kebab man tells me that he has cancelled my order shocking DO NOT ORDER DELIVERIES FROM THESE PEOPLE OUTRAGOUS IS NOT THE WORD

Been getting kebabs here for years and generally was pretty happy with quality/value but over the last few months quality has dropped but price have gone up. Will probably try other kebab shops - will let you know what I think

used them for the last two years and has got worse by the week , two weeks ago , ordered two meals, thay came 50 min after said time cold and mush, same last night told 40munits hour and 10 minits later , it came , cold chips , cold meat in kabab , got no were on phone, WONT BE USEING THEM AGIN

Never again dry chicken lamb was old I have put all kebab to the bin is so many kebab in Witney much better!!!!!

Ordered a large doner pizza with extra mushrooms, garlic bread and a double pepperoni pizza, told it would be 30 minutes, it took 1hour and 15 minutes, double pepperoni pizza had 3 pieces of pepperoni on it and the doner pizza with mushrooms just had mushrooms NO doner meat or peppers. When contacted witney kebab house they said they don't do refunds and another pizza would take an hour to deliver. The worst service I have ever had. Highly recommend NOT to use this place

Dry kebabs, soft fries, cheap burgers, tasteless. You get what you pay for but this is not worth it. Gets an extra star foe delivering to Standlake.

I called Kebab House and placed an order for a 6 piece fried chicken bucket meal with fries and a 10'' margarita pizza. The food arrived 1 hour later, the pizza was a mess and falling to bits so I called back to complain and they kindly sent me a new one however I then opened the chicken which was undercooked (please see photo attached) so again, I called to complain and after politely asking for my money back and being told I will not receive this, one of their lovely members of staff said ''go die thank you bye'' and hung up the phone. Absolutely gobsmacked I made my way directly to the Kebab House to confront them, they did not believe that the chicken was undercooked and apparently that is how their chicken always looks. One of the employees touched the undercooked chicken (violently tore it to pieces) then proceeded to touch all the chicken in the oven with his bare hands and waved it in my face. I eventually demanded for a refund which was only given to me after the 10th time I had asked for it. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone - I felt extremely intimidated and do not believe that as a customer, I should ever be made to feel this way. Absolutely appalled with their behaviour and their poor quality of food!

I had food delivered to my house and they told me it with take up to 45 to 1 H , in less that 15 minutes i had mi food now that ' s what we call FAST FOOD ... And very lovely meal deals to. The food was hot and very good thanks ...

He tenido servicio mediocre de esta llevar antes, pero este era demasiado. Mi amigo estaba de visita del extranjero y que íbamos a comprar un 3.80 libras Doner envoltura. El personal del mostrador no era muy amable desde el principio. Después de un poco de confusión sobre su orden, un montón de empujando jadeando y golpeándose las cosas alrededor de puffing de mala gana, se aprovechó el hecho de que él no era un local para él cobrando un gran kebab en vez, casi el doble, 7,50 libras.

Realmente sabrosa carne y ensalada encantadora. tamaño de la porción decentes. ver comentarios negativos respecto a domicilio en aquí, pero nunca he tenido ningún problema, siempre rápido. He probado varios kebabs alrededor de esta zona y Witney Kebab House es, de lejos, el mejor.

Great pizza and service with good deals to suit everyone , very quick service with chatty staff ,reasonable prices

Don't ever use them they just sent the wrong order and it was freezing cold and when we phoned they said that's what we ordered and wouldn't change it

Ordered just a quick take away for two people. Service was prompt, no waiting late on a Friday night and staff were friendly. Was was warm still once home and tasted fine.

Again ordered from here and again order was wrong , over charged me too , cold food just not worth bothering with , if you want a food delivery then i suggest you look elsewhere! ! Never again !!

Food is freshly cooked! Always served by pleasant staff! I always pick up my own order up after ringing it through!

Took an hour and 1/2 to arrive food was stone cold have had to put in the oven and reheat! Staff rude and did absolutely nothing about it! I wouldn't even wish my worst enemy to eat from this incompetent s*it hole, spread the word DONT EVER ORDER FROM HERE! You will be ripped off!

Ordered food at 19:55 Food arrived at 21:35. Food was cold and undercooked we rang to complain and the guy hangs up!!! Terrible food and terrible service!!! Would defiantly not recommend would advise to stay clear!!!!!!

Ordered with a confirmed delivery for 7.45pm. Arrived 8.40pm cold soggy and not worth eating. Shame really as the service sounded good. DON'T GO THERE

Ordered a donna kebab and got a wrap the pizza was stuck to box lid asked for chilli sauce got none and cold chips was my first ever order too !!

I only use this for orders to be delivered to my home, But I have been there as well... I like the food and service & Iam happy to carry on using them from time to time..

I went to Witney Kebab House on 19/07/14 with a pal to get a special kebab. It ain't cheap, at £10, but as per usual I coughed up in advance as is customary with the amount of piss heads around. I waited for the kebab to be cooked. Then, when it was ready, the guy looked over and said "ten pounds please". I was confused as I'd already paid. Maybe there was a mistake. "I've already paid" I said, at which he scoffed. Then ensued a 30 minute argument over whether or not I had paid...They didn't belive that I had paid. They accused me of being a liar and a freeloader. I was so confident I was right I asked them to check their cctv so they could see me handing over my hard earned money. They refused. This set alarm bells ringing, and laid the foundations for their stubborn stance from then on. "We're right and you're drunk" seemed to be the party line. There was a kind of "tag team" approach to dealing with me where they would try and reason that I could not have possibly paid for my kebab. Presumably this is their regular methodology to chip away at the drunkards trying to get free stuff. I stood my ground for a while before realising they were never going to give in and then just left, ten pounds poorer than I entered and with nothing to show for it.Don't trust these guys. They are rude, dismissive, self centered and above all *they are thieves*. I'll probably never get my money back, but let this be a warning to you all.

The kebabs are incredibly generous and tasty, but was really disappointed with the thin, tasteless, frozen chips I was given.Had to go the chip shop round the corner to get chips instead.

Delivery was on time but kebab was ment to be a mixed rubbish wouldn eat there little bit off chilly rubbish chuck lads on

called to place an order, asked if they deliver to carterton , they said yes. placed our whole order told them the address, to then be told in a rude manner "we can not deliver to carterton" and hung up on me! all because the man on the phone could not understand the address i gave, even after I told him 4 times and explained how to get here, very rude! they lost themselves a lot of money.

We always get food delivered to our house and normally its pretty good.But the delivery driver was so rude we answered the door and he didn't say anything, we give him the money and he just went didn't say bye or thank you, nothing.. He didn't give us the change, just assumed he could keep it ,not the firsts imp it's happened I order from other addresses and its always the same man and he's always rude !Last time we order from Witney kebab house, shame because the food is really good !!

We get our donner kebabs delivered. Also we have had the kofta kebabs and love the spicy chicken wings. Can recommend the garlic mayo. The chilli sauce is very hot, so I suggest asking for a small amount! All the salad is crisp and the pitta bread is fresh.

These kebabs are always good. The meat is very good and lots of fresh salads. The staff are also friendly too. Hot tasty chilli sauce. Delivery service quick.
