Wiseguys in East Riding of Yorkshire

Went for lunch and wasn't disappointed. Really nice food and friendly staff. My daughter loved the milkshakes, and the burgers are really tasty. Great comfort food.

Visited wiseguys in October with the family. We visit this place every year when we stay in Bridlington. Staff lovely as are the owners who set the tone for the place. Really nice to see young people being given a chance to work in hospitality. Both serving tables and in the kitchens. Portion sizes are super generous. Food is lovely. A side of chips is not just a handful of chips (bigger chains please take note). Lots of Yorkshire hospitality. Relaxed environment. Please remember if you do visit bring some cash so that you can tip the staff. We had no cash but the owner put in his own money for the staff to cover what we wanted to tip in cash. That says it all. Loved it

We found this place by accident last year and we went back again when we were in the area You get the best burgers ever at this place They offer other food as well but it’s always the bigger I go for We shall return

The food and portion size were excellent. The restaurant was very child friendly and clean. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend.

We always try & visit Wiseguys when in town. This time, we had hawaiian burger & chicken & prawn Alfredo. Both meals were absolutely delicious, & the service was fast & friendly as usual. Can't wait to come back 😊

Table and seats were cleaned but seats were left wet and had to dry them off ourselves. We waited and waited for our order to be taken and after no sign of staff we walked out!

We were staying over in Brid for the night & after checking into our hotel, decided to walk into town for dinner. We came across Wiseguys and thought we’d give it a try. My expectations were low based purely on the decor, the furniture & the waitress who showed us to our table - she seemed tired & fed up - but the kids were starving so we decided to just go with it. The food took a little while to arrive but we showed up without a reservation & it was busy so we didn’t mind. We were all blown away by the food, it really surprised us!!!! Lovely & hot, really tasty and great portion size. Me & my daughter had pasta dishes and they were delicious. My husband said his burger patty was flavoursome & well seasoned. Definitely a case of don’t judge a book by its cover!!!

We thought we'd check out Wiseguys while visiting Bridlington for a couple of days since there were so many great reviews, and we were not disappointed :D We ordered the special pizza bread with blue cheese and chilli's to share alongside one of the specials (Lousiana chicken), and both were delicious! The pizza bread had just the right amount of blue cheese and heat from the chillis. The Lousiana chicken was supposed to come with blue cheese dip and buffalo dip (can you tell we like blue cheese yet!), but sadly, they were out of the blue cheese dip. We were initially disappointed, as that was our reason for ordering the chicken over other bits we would have tried, but the disappointment didn't last long, as they whipped up a blue cheese sauce for us instead which was incredibly tasty and worked perfectly as a substitute! The blue cheese & buffalo combo is certainly a gooden. We also had waffles for dessert, which were also delicious, though we struggled to finish them due to the size, haha. There's no way we were leaving any food on the plates though :P The only bad thing is that we didn't have time to visit again! We figured we'd try somewhere else on our 2nd night, only to be completely ripped off with an awful salad, leaving us wishing we'd just gone to Wiseguys 2 nights in a row instead.

Went out for a meal on the last day of our holiday. Food was absolutely delicious. Staff were great and excellent service too. The atmosphere was lively! 10/10 definitely recommend to people. We will definitely be returning!

As the title of the review states ‘The best in Bridlington’ Been visiting wiseguys with my family from Edinburgh for many years now, and this establishment is a true testament to the quality that is produced. The food is phenomenal, from burgers to pizzas to pasta the food is exceptional. Cooked immediately and delivered to your table piping hot, you can tell the owner uses the best ingredients to serve the customers and this really shows in the quality of the food received. We’ve never had a bad meal here in all the times we have been. The owner is very welcoming, friendly and attentive throughout your visit so are the young cooks who greet you on arrival too. The staff are superb and really go above and beyond during visits. Only downside is the fact we don’t have anything this special in Scotland. Thank You all for your wonderful hospitality.

Nice for a town centre. Children indoor play area a bit loud. Service patchy (e.g. had to go up to ask for a drink, waitress chewing chewing gum whilst serving, no one checked on food). Good choice of food. Very child friendly.

We only popped in to have a tea and a coffee it was first class service from a very helpful girl and very reasonable prices will definitely be going back. Can't speak highly enough of wiseguys

Superb service and food.. The garlic, blue cheese and chilli pizza was something else. 😃👍 . Grilled chicken with blue cheese my wife's fav… The menu covers all tastes and in my opinion the best eating spot in Bridlington by far…. If you want proper food with proper down to earth friendly and efficient staff the call in. GREAT.

Had a few of the pizzas before and love them, the 16" pepperoni pizza is my favorite and tastes amazing every time. I go once a week atm, the chef is great and gave me an extra bowl of chips :P

Been to Wiseguys loads with friends, family and girlfriend, never written a review but I like the people that run it and the food is incredible. I’ve had most items on the menu and I’ve gotta say I can’t think of anything I don’t actually like, I tend to stick to the burgers and pizzas but tried the chicken and a steak and they were amazing too, makes me wish I had their flame grill and pizza oven at home because I’d never leave the house again. Love the place, the vibe, we get food before heading to the cinema and a stop I’ll always use.

We visited on Friday evening. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. Children’s menu and colouring sheets for the eight year old were great. The burgers are home made and amazing. Between our party we had New Yorker, Italian, bacon and cheese and a cheese burger. They were all delicious, well presented and great value. An absolute feast and the price was really good value. The children’s menu pepperoni pizza was a proper hand made pizza. Chips delicious. A great place to eat and the staff really couldn’t be any nicer or more helpful. We only went because the fish and chips shops all closed early and we were glad they did when we found this place. On the way out our little boy wanted another giant paper straw he had had in his J2O. Our waitress grabbed three and gave them to us on the way out. Lovely atmosphere and top food.

We where in the area for a 2 day county U14s Lancashire cricket match and Wiseguys was recommended to us by the local cricket club, we where not disappointed they managed to accommodate 25 of us with only a few hours notice and both the squad and all the parents thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. Katy and her team where brilliant thank you so much

The pizza was great! Really fast service. The play area was great and kept the kids entertained while we finished our dinner.

We fancied a change from the usual seaside fish and chips so had a wander around and found Wise Guys.The waitress quickly spotted us and asked if we could wait a minute while she cleaned a table for us.It was made clear that they couldn't take card payments due to a problem with their WiFi. But as we could pay by cash or transfer this was no problem at all. The menu is great, not too many choices just the right amount. My wife and I chose burgers and my daughter chose a pizza. We weren't waiting long for our food and when it arrived I couldn't wait to tuck in. My hawaian burger was awesome, succulent patties and spiced pineapple with 1000 Island dressing! Took me back years to a burger I'd had in Portugal and this was even better! My wife had the Italian burger with lashings of bolognese sauce which she said was divine! Our daughter had the bolognese pizza which was crisp and stone baked like pizza should be. The staff also kindly gave us a pizza box for the leftovers from our daughters pizza which she enjoyed for her tea later that day. Our bill with drinks came too £40 which was great value for the food we'd had. Highly recommend this place as an alternative from the usual seaside fayre and we'll be back soon

Stopped off for lunch. Fit is in near the kids play area with our kids in tow. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Food was lovely, but not spectaculars calzone was delicious but marinara sauce was a little bland for my taste. Burger menu was excellent !

Popped in here during a summer down pour. They managed to accommodate a party of ten with appropriate social distancing. Burgers homemade and tasty.. salad good value….pizza great and younger members of the party all happy with their choices off kids menu. The team serving us were up front about probs with card payment …. Not their fault and offered bank transfer for payment which was easy!A good experience and would happily come back!

Came here during the six weeks holiday with my family for tea. The staff were lovely, really friendly and helpful, couldn’t of rated them higher. The food was really nice and we all in all had a lovely meal. Unfortunately this place is not dog friendly, but apart from that I couldn’t fault them. Will definitely be coming again.

Visited on a Monday night without a booking, but we managed to get a nice table by the window.I think you may need to book later in the week as there were a few in for a Monday.We had mushroom and blue cheese burger and calzone.Food was hot and tasty. Portions were good size and good value for money.The service we received from Georgie and Kurt was brilliant, and this really made the restaurant stand out. We will return next time we are in town.

Excellent customer service by the young girls who served us. Good quality food that is tasty and cheap! We came from Scarborough to meet family who were staying in Brid…this place was recommended to us. You can see the chefs cooking, it is clean and everything is to a high standard. The chef also made me a pizza to my preference which is pepperoni and pineapple instead of the ham… I think he thought it was weird but it was delicious. I would recommend and visit again. Scarborough needs a wise guys! I would also recommend the dirty fries as a sharer.

Absolutely delicious pizzas and calzone, staff friendly and helpful. If you choose dirty fries make sure that you share them, the portion was huge. Beer was spot on as well. Struggled to walk after I had eaten that much.

Dropped in on the chance they could fit us in for lunch, which they did.Waitress was lovely, seated straight away, menus, gave us time to look then came to take our orders.Menu has lots of variety, and you can order from the dinner menu if nothing on the lunch menu catches your eye.Reasonably priced, especially for the size of the portions (which I couldn’t finish, as much as I wanted to). My 6 year old niece ordered pizza, chips and beans. She hoovered the lot! Pizza wasn’t nuked in a microwave either, it was a proper stone-baked, freshly made one, which she loved.I had New York chicken - no complaints, fillet was perfect, no fatty gristle or excess water coming out.Kids meal also had an ice cream included for extra £1.50. Can’t believe she fit it in!All in all a fab late lunch that will fill us up for the rest of the day.Waitress who served us had perfect manners, great customer service and was very attentive.Will definitely recommend and visit again

Visited at 7pm Tuesday 8th June. Sat outside as no indoor table available. After 20 minutes of staff passing by we managed to stop a team member and remind them we needed a menu. Menu arrived. After another ten minutes of being ignored we left to get something to eat! Cannot understand why we have to give even a rating of 1 for such appalling service.

We ordered tonight and they were more then helpful to oblige with the local lockdown restrictions. They went out their way to deliver to us and even bring sauces in packets also (little touches make a big difference) The shakes were to die for, the bueno shake was my personal fav, so thick and amazing. Excellent large pizza and salad delivered to the door on Friday - more than plenty for the two of us..Easy to order - our call was taken by a friendly and cheerful young member of staff and delivered by an equally friendly and cheerful young person and driver. Great to support a valued local business.

Heard about this place from a friend so decided to check it out. Safe to say it didn’t disappoint. Due to Covid we had to get it to take out. The food was amazing especially the Carbonara and the staff were so lovely bringing us anything we needed. Deffo will be recommending this place x

Went here to collect takeaway .soon as we walked in we were asked where our masks are we showed exemption and were told to get out not asked to leave but told to get out absolutley disgusted considering non of the staff wore masks , we had to wait out in the cold they brought our food out , the food was disgusting cold and not worth the money at all , after my burger with cheese and mushrooms i had terrible stomach and explosive diarrhoea would not recommend this place, very rude

Burger dry. Lettuce brown and not fresh. Fries soggy. Not really worth the prices. Extra rude service. Dunno where all the good reviews came from. Burger and fries were also tepid and not hot

My partner had a Caesar salad and it was disgusting, dry chicken onto what i believe typical takeaway quality pre packed bag lettuce. Looked and tasted aweful. My meal was average and the chicken wasnt the best but was ok. Terrible fries. Best part for me was the drinks they actually had legit Pepsi not a knock off brand. Looks good inside thats why we came in but it need much improvement on the food sadly

Had a really fantastic meal here. Great place, great food and great service.Well worth a visit . I had the vegetable calzone which was yummy . Hubby had the wiseguy slam burger and our daughter had the prohibition chicken and The kids meal worth every penny too. Will definitely be back. Everyone wore masks, hand sanitizers on entry and checked in on the nhs app. Felt very safe thank you.

Just had a absolutely brilliant Calzone. 10/10 for quality and taste. Content was really generous. Cooked to perfection. Highly recommended. Compliments to all the staff. Also had a Gluten Free Pasta. This was also perfect. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.

Can not fault the place at all. Every time I come we get great service! The food is always incredible. The service is quick and the staff are always so friendly and helpful! Nothing is too much hassle for them! They will always go the extra mile to make your meal and experience the best it can be! It was my first time trying the waffles and wow! They were just amazing! If I hadn’t been so full I’d of definitely ordered another to take home! Definitely worth a try! Always leave full and very happy with my time there!

No idea what Danielle was talking about. I don’t know how anyone could slate these waffles here. Me and my friend came in for some lunch today and the food was amazing and service was spot on! Not been here much but always a pleasure when I do come. Friendly staff and the desserts were on point

Not the service girls fault she was on her own trying to do everything! So it was ages for ordering, dessert menus and taking orders etc. There needs to be more staff or the ones stood behind the bar actually doing something to help. Then there is the waffles which is the only reason I came... cheap awful chocolate sauce on then, no 'milk chocolate' such a let down. Ill go to 'proper' dessert places in the future had to go the shop across the road to get my own chocolate for the waffle. This is the reason why I usually don't 'shop' local as its always a let down.

On the plus side we both thought it was the best pizza we'd ever eaten so well done to the chef. Unfortunately the service let it down somewhat. We had a booking but were left hanging about while other people were let straight in. No cutlery brought to the table but when I went to get some I was told to leave it to the staff. We weren't asked if we'd like another drink or a dessert. They also have a very annoying habit of continually calling customers 'guys'. Once or twice is forgivable but it was every sentence. Hopefully it's better in the off season as the food deserves a return visit.

We walked up to the restaurant today and was told that there would be up to a 45 minute wait which we was fine with, until a man came up and said to the waitress find me a table, to which the waitress bypassed us and found the man a table leaving us quite annoyed and causing us to leave and probably never going back again when leaving we found 3 empty tables with no reservation signs on.Extremely disappointed...

Absolutely gorgeous food. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it just melted in my mouth. Never ever tasted carbonara like it before. Highly recommend if your in Bridlington

We were at Bempton, and visited Bridlington just to have lunch here. We were staying in the area for a few days, and looked for gluten free friendly places to eat on Trip Adviser. We were here in August, so it is a busy time anyway. There was a hot spell of weather, so everyone was out and about. It was even busier because of the Government's 'Eat out to help out' scheme. Thankfully we booked, because people who walked in were turned away as they were fully booked. We were happy and confident with the restaurant's CV-19 procedures, but were sat right at the entry so can no comment on anything beyond that point (ie toilets). Once we were seated we stayed put. FYI for parents: Under normal circumstances the restaurant has a small children's play area (as a mum I thought the was great) but understand it has been packaged away for CV-19.We ordered a chicken burger (bun free), dirty fries to share and some gluten free pasta. The food was served hot, and was delicious. The portions were huge, and so we called and cancelled our dinner booking because we knew we were not going to be hungry. My one complaint was the length of time it took for the food to come out. 40 minutes is a long time, and it was well past 2pm when our food arrived. It would have been nice to have been told this when we ordered, or if someone had come and updated us as it wasn't easy to flag someone down and we didn't feel we could get up and enquire. While the restaurant was fully booked, it was not full because they have to socially distance the tables so the long wait didn't make sense. We would absolutely return here again, and would recommend it to others.

We have just been to Wiseguys for lunch and can highly recommend it. My husband and I both had burgers and fries which were fresh and delicious and our 7yo had pasta and tomato sauce which he polished off and said was the best pasta ever. Good value too. The restaurant is taking details for track and trace and encouraging hand sanitising on entry and exit. Very good all round thank you

Returned home from a week in Primrose Valley we visited Wiseguys last year and loved it so decided to book again this year. We had 4 meals within 1 week. Each time myself and husband tried something new the first night I had the gluten free pasta which was amazing but huge but they gave me a plastic tub to take the rest home and I had it for lunch the next day, my husband had a pizza which was freshly made in front of us and again was amazing. Kids had pizza and chicken nuggets and the nuggets were beautiful. 2nd visit We had chicken which was cooked perfectly nice and juicy, and the surf & turf the prawns were coated in garlic and tasted amazing and the steak was cooked beautifully. 3rd time I had the Wiseguys chicken covered in cheese and ham and again it was beautifully cooked and the homemade tomato sauce that came with it was divine. Hubby went for a New York Strip cooked to perfection with the blue cheese sauce. 4th visor wasn’t planned but we were hungry after a day on the beach and decided to pop in, this time we tried the burgers I had the Halloumi burger which was beautiful really tasty, the hubby had the blue cheese and mushroom burger which was just melt in your mouth juicy so good. And to top every meal off the kids had one of there homemade waffles which is a MUST! We had an Oreo waffle with chocolate sauce the first night and tried the white chocolate waffle OMG that became our favourite! Overall we love Wiseguys and will definitely be visiting again when next on holiday. Only criticism from us is lack of cocktails.

You need to book. Good systems in place, well ventilated. I'd recommend the burgers or grills, good service. Eat here twice in the week. Need to book well in advance Mondays to Wednesdays now.

Simply a superb diner, fantastic food, huge portions, the kids loved it, very clean and the service was spot on. Even the sister in law couldn’t pick a fault, a true sign of a good meal!!! Thank-you Kirk and the team, keep up the high standards you are setting yourselves.

Delicious food, big variety of pasta, pizza, burgers, the kids menu is great, got in love with this place, been here 4 times for dinner in 5 days of holiday!

This is fast becoming our go-to restaurant in Brid. The welcome is friendly, service is excellent and the food really is top-notch. Whether we've been with our children or dining out as a couple, we've really enjoyed our experience. The steaks are really tasty, whilst the burgers, pasta and pizzas are amongst some of our family-favourites. If I could offer one little bit of constructive criticism: I would love to see a slightly larger variety of alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks. However, it gets an "excellent" rating from my family and I.

100% would recommend to ANYONE! So happy it’s back open. Been twice in the past fortnight, first with my partner and second with family for a bereavement anniversary. Never had a complaint about anything! Staff are doing a brilliant job and the food is delicious! Would advise booking especially during this time

im still struggling to believe how I haven’t heard of this place before incredible pizza with booming taste. prawn Alfredo was creamy and melts in your mouth and had the caprese salad which was extra seasoned and I wanted to eat it again amazing food and amazing staff and amazing place... amazing.

What a lovely place. Definitely a hidden gem!!! Food was amazing, I asked my three kids what their thoughts were? All agreed, brilliant. One is a vegetarian and the staff were accommodating changing things to suit as he wanted something that wasn’t even on the menu. All in all I highly recommend.

Food from here is gorgeous we had pizza burger onion rings and shakes fast delivery and polite staff and omg the oreo shake is the best I've ever tasted thank-you for an amazing meal we shall be back

We visited Wiseguys as we wanted something different to eat other than seaside fish and chips. We booked a table after reading reviews and we are so glad we did. A lovely atmosphere, amazing food and friendly welcoming staff. So relaxed and so cosy. Great choice of pizza, pasta and burgers. This will definitely be somewhere we visit on out yearly trips to the east coast. 5 stars all round. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We have been here a couple of times before when in Bridlington in the caravan - here for 1st weekend of sites being open and saw the open sign in Wiseguys. We booked a table for our family of 3 at 6:30pm on a Sunday, and soooo glad we did! Obviously you wonder if doing the right thing at the moment but felt extremely safe, all staff had masks and gloves and tables/customers well spaced out. As always burgers were amazing and we had a great night!! Highly recommend, we’ll be back

Dined here for the first time last night with the family, 6 of us.Pleasant, friendly staff. The service was very good. The food was just great, all well cooked, well presented and very good portion size.We did plan on having a sweet but we were all stuffed after our main meal.Maybe next time we will simply order a couple of larger pizzas to share and leave some room for a sweet treat.Well worth a visit here folks, and I think it opens from 11 am.

Called in on way from weekend away, seated immediately, drinks on table. Ordered and served quickly. Both had same Prohibition Chicken, WoW! All the meal was excellent, well cooked by Sarah, good service from Molly and the Girls. Who needs the Boss Man, Eh! Many thanks. Never failed us in five years. Brilliant.

One of My fave places to eat in brid. The pizzas are fab. The calzonnes are fab. The burgers are fab. It's well priced.. What's not to like. Get eating there people. They deserve all the support they can get. Always go over and above to accommodate us.

Very welcoming restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere and seems to attract all ages. Lovely food. We usually have pizza, but have also tried the pasta that was equally nice. Sweet potato fries are highly recommended! Staff talkative and friendly. We'll be back

This place is perfect for young kids, With a friendly atmosphere and a small play area with play kitchen for little ones and a tv. Kids loves it and we’re kept amused. Good menus with a great range and we all enjoyed it.

Had several visits to this resteraunt now and it never disapoints , friendly welcoming service and the seating is well set out. We have tried many different menu choices tonight I tried the meat calzone and it was spot on portion sizes are extremely generous well worth every penny x love the fact you can see your food been prepared and cooked in an immaculate kitchen area and the chef always gets it right x deffinately be back again soon xx

The food is pizza or burgers style. The quality was okay but the value very good. The service too was excellent very friendly staff only to pleased to help. Well worth a visit if you are on a budget.

Well worth the visit, thought the choice was great and loved decor. Burgers were great, I had the largest seafood burger, triple burger with prawns and seafood sauce which was lovely. Kids loved their pizza and we also ordered a really nice pesto pasta. Would highly recommend, my kinda place

We came here every weekend when my wife worked in Bridlington but we always call in when we are visiting now. Amazing food and really friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Popped in for lunch this week and had the Penne Arrabiata with prawns and chicken. Best pasta dish I've ever had, it was that good. Beautiful flavours, superb fresh chillies. Well done Kirk.

Staff were really friendly and the food was outstanding, just a bit too warm inside. The milkshake was divine and would love to come back again. Highly recomend it, not too far to walk and my mum loved her meal too 😊😁

Bank holiday Monday, gorgeous weather, no where in Brid had any availability. We were told 45 minute wait which we accepted. So glad we did. Pizzas cooked to perfection, & the special of meatballs with spaghetti,peppers, pesto & cream sauce was absolutely delicious. Too full to manage a dessert sadly. Very good quality food, cooked in an open kitchen, reasonable prices & lovely staff. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

I come with my sister a lot as my niece LOVES the little play area. The food was to die for as usual! I had the Wise Guys Slammer burger... one of the best burgers to date . Would 100% recommend to anyone, including families as it is definitely a family friendly restaurant with a wide menu for all.

We loved it. Food is really nice. Little play area at bottom for my youngest. No complaints at all. Will be coming back.

Pizzas are beautiful really enjoyed them service was good little girl enjoyed the icecream there was alot of dirty tables that needed clearing but other than that all good

Day trip to Brid and didn’t fancy fish and chips for lunch so went online and found this place. Ordered the 8oz cheese and Bacon burger which came with fries and coleslaw, very tasty, quick service, friendly staff. Will definitely come again next time in the area.
