Charged my four year old daughter £8.95 for a one round sandwich on white bread with grated cheese and ham. Over priced compared to other estblishments. Won't be back to expensive. Charged same price as a toastie.

I was so disappointed today with the food and service today which is a shame as it’s normally ok. I ordered soup and wheaten which when arrived was the heel of the wheaten cut so thin and my soup was cold. I asked for it to be reheated (which I hated doing) and it came back no warmer. When I mentioned this to the fella serving he just took my plate and left. No one apologised or offered to resolve the issue which means I paid a great amount for a dry end of wheaten bread. Definitely not worth a return visit.

Went here for coffee and scones yesterday with my sister…. Sadly this place not for me …. Coffee was nice but scones were very disappointing they tasted like they weren’t fresh that day … surroundings in cafe very plain ….. just didn’t do it for me …. But they do have a lovely gift shop which is worth a visit

Newly refurbished - looks great. One of the best assets of any organisation is the staff and Fergus is such an asset! Nothing for him is too much trouble! Thoroughly enjoyable experience!

This eaterie has very good staff. - friendly and efficient. We had coffee and scones but they were dull and un-exciting. The service door was maybe open for Covid reasons but it meant the place was very cold. Not really my place for a relaxing, tasty morning coffee.

I visit monthly with family. The staff are so friendly, have a great sense of humour. The food is delicious. They have a good selection of food on the menu and even have dairy free options , which is great as I'm milk intolerant. I love their oat milk latte.

To the lovely lady who brought me the water today while I was feeding my daughter thank you. What a way to make someone feel welcome and comfortable. A lovely little touch I’ll always remember 💕

This is a great place to call in for a coffee and chat. Coffee is hot, buns are fresh, service is friendly. The gift shop is always worth a look about. Recommend highly!

We called there over the weekend and had two of the nicest toasties. Both were very tasty and reasonably priced. The coffee/tea shop has a relaxed atmosphere and is at the reproof an eclectic gift shop.

We called into Winnie’s today for some lunch and it was super busy-the three girls behind the till were working their hardest to get through the orders. My husband and I were a little nervous at being out in a coffee shop again after COVID but thankfully the staff put our nerves at ease, they had appropriate floor markings set out for social distancing, screens at tills and every table, chair and sofa was sanitised after each customer. I also seen a girl unlock the toilet for a gentleman and sanitise it immediately after his use. We ordered a sandwich and soup, and shared a black butter sausage roll that the lady behind the counter had informed me she had made that morning, it was delicious! There was a little wait for our food but that was understandable with the business of the cafe. We’ll be back!

My 2nd visit to this Main Street village cafe. 11:30 and the place was freezing, everyone keeping coats on. Food dull, unappetising and appears a few days past sell by. My friend encouraged me to have scone. Promptly delivered to table, hard and cold. This place has no atmosphere, staff aplenty lacking efficiency and personality. This place could be amazing but not sure I could risk a return any time soon. Hot drinks only safe option.

We found the food to be quite basic and item missing from toastie ordered. The crisps served on the side were soft too. We were going to have couple of buns/traybakes but didn't.

Winnies is a lovely shop and restaurant in Broughshane which has been an award winning villiage for many years. Last year they won the Channel 4 Villiage of the year competition. As you enter Winnies you will see beautiful homeware of high quality. Also in the premises is a lovely restaurant which is very popular with not just the local people but ladies' groups and Church groups meet there in the evenings. Winnies stocks a wide range of greetings cards and a local jewellery maker who made jewellery for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge when they visited Ballymena has a display of bespoke jewellery. Well worth a visit if you are looking for wedding presents etc.

Called in today with hubby for coffee and a snack. Soup and sandwiches were lovely. This could be such a lovely little place...but unfortunately it lacks atmosphere....even just some background music would make such a difference. I like quiet but it's just soooooo quiet if u speak..everyone can hear. Cant fault the food or staff in any way.

Went for coffee with my friend. Had two coffees and scones. Being a scone connoisseur I checked if the scones were fresh today and was told they were. My friend cut hers and it wasn’t fresh. Told the girl who had served us and her reply was it’s fresh today. Not I’ll change it for you, have a refund or get you something else. The scone remained uneaten and we left a little hungry as we had shared one scone.

What a brilliant place. The premises are split into two, a fantastic, well stocked gift shop at the front and an ambient, busy coffee shop at the rear. There are quality gifts for every occasion in the shop and products to adorn any home. The coffee shop has a real calm feel and the staff are excellent. The menu choice gets better every time I call and the shortbread is unreal!! I have enjoyed flavoursome salads, sandwiches and the newly filled jacket potatoes and I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Winnie and her teams hard work has really payed off and credit to them. What a real gem Winnie’s 1975 is, in the beautiful village of Broughshane

A delightful gift/coffee shop on the main street in Broughshane. Have been there a few times now and have always been very pleased. The 'coffee' area has been extended since I was last there and is a great addition. Food excellent as usual. I like it that the gift area has some more unusual items, and everything seems of good quality. Well done Winnie.

Stopped here for an easy tea and not disappointed. We had fish suppers and the fish was so good. Light batter not greasy. The fish white and flaked easily. Chips equally good. It would have been nice to have sat in their chippy to eat but sadly not under the present circumstances. Can’t wait to return.

Wish I had found this establishment years ago. Great little jem of a pub/restaurant. Lovely old building with great decor for a traditional pub. The owners were really friendly and a great laugh. Food was amazing, that good that we visited more than once working in ballymena. Came in very close to the end of the serving times with the possibility of it being to late. The owners were really hospitable and fitted us in. There Guinness is lovely also. Will return on next job.
