Winner Chinese Takeaway in Gwynedd

Food was excellent. Freshly made and hot upon collection. Portion size was good as were prices. Remember to take cash as no card facilities.

Takeaway chinese food. This is an excellent place good friendly staff Drop in or pre order by phone. Slightly off the beaten track but well worth the visit

Very nice food. Never knew this takeaway existed and I've lived 5 miles away for 5 years. Found it on tripadvisor. Duck curry was excellent and very generous with the meat, not just massive lumps of fat like a lot of other places. Egg fried rice was absolutely delicious. Chicken cow mein also excellent, tender fresh chicken. Very very impressed.

We ordered a huge takeaway for 12 and everything was well cooked and delicious. The portions were of a good size and piping hot. Very quick service too for a Friday evening.

Stopped overnight in motorhome and could smell the aroma from the takeaway a good 5 mins walk away! Ordered over counter and waited about 15 mins for it to be cooked but the food was excellent. Hot and tasty and decent value

Really fresh, well cooked food for 6. Delicious. Rang in advance, order was ready to pick up at the right time. Be aware that they only take cash.

Our takeaway was very average. Can't specifically complain about anything but struggling to say anything good.

Good fresh food the odon noodles especially were lovely. Shame they don't mention when you order that it's cash only even in these covid times. Had to go and find a cashpoint leaving the food to get rather cold.

Order a set meal for the Family and from there on have been getting our takeaways from there since. A lot of food and amazing taste would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good traditional chinese takeaway.

We ordered.... Spring rolls ~ Dripping with grease and tasted gross Chicken Chow Mein ~ Was OK not very much noodle thoughts mainly bean sprouts! Chicken Balls ~ Rock hard, lots of batter and not much chicken Sweet and Sour Chicken ~ Tasted good Chicken with green pepper and black bean sauce ~ Very Dry and flavourless Need I say we won’t be ordering from Here on our next visit to wales.

This Chinese takeaway is tucked away in a side street in Caernarfon just outside the town centre but worth the effort to find. Had three visits to date for takeaway meals for the family consisting of various meals off the menu. Always been nice, tasty and reasonably priced. Good generous portions. Shop is clean and tidy with polite staff serving. Food always ready and on time. Well worth a visit.

We phoned the Winner (01286675879) to place our order for Special Udon Noodles £5.80, Singapore Fried Rice £5.20 and Curry Sauce £1.30. We had not previously tasted Udon Noodles and asked for details of the meal, which the male member of staff explained, before we placed the order. Having been advised that the meal would be ready for collection in 20 minutes the meals were ready within the advised time scale. The Winner does not have a car park but on street parking was available nearby. The meals were served in aluminium trays and the sauce in a polystyrene pot. All the food was still piping hot when eaten about 5 minutes after collection. Both meals were split between two of us and we very much enjoyed our dinner. I would rate the quality of the meals as above average when compared to other Chinese takeaways. We received complimentary prawn crackers with our meal. The Winner is located in a residential area near to the Tesco store and McDonalds. It's not that easy to find but well worth the effort. The picture of the menu on Tripadvisor states it is open 5:00pm-9:30pm on Tuesdays. It is actually closed on Tuesdays. There are currently 161 items available on the menu plus banquet options for 2-4 persons so there is plenty to chose from. I intend to use this takeaway again.

This is our go to take away even though we live 7 miles away ! Use it regularly and they never disappoint.

I have been to this Chinese twice and it hasn’t disappointed. The food is excellent and they serve good size portions. I would highly recommend the chicken chow mein and Kung Do shredded beef and special fried rice!

Very pleasant, not entirely run-of-the-mill Chinese food. However, a mistake was made with our order – given in person – so we had two prawn dishes instead of a prawn and a chicken, which was a bit disappointing. But the tastes were good.

Food wasnt that nice wouldnt sugget the salt and pepper ribs as they were covered in a type of batter which ive never seen at anyother chinese prawn crackers were tastless, noddles and chips where ok.

Again an excellent meal. Very friendly staff. Good non typical Chinese food. Try the Sechuan chicken - amazing with boiled rice.

Brilliant as usual. All food cooked fresh and no long waiting times. Good selection of food with some additions to the norm! Well done. Keep it up.

Researched Chinese restaurants in caernarfon, this came up best review so gave a try. A good, traditional tasting Chinese. Chow mein had plenty of noodles and beansprouts and good chunks of meat. The egg fried rice had large pieces of omlettey egg in it and a great flavour. Chips were lush. Only thing not so good was the curry. Felt it lacked a bit of flavour but that could be personal choice. Would use again if staying in the area.

So glad that we found this great,little takeaway on moving to this area. The food is really good and at a very reasonable price. Always friendly and fast service. What more could you want.

1 x special curry and 1 x chicken and mushroom curry. Both with egg fried rice. Very nice flavours going on in the curries. Egg fried rice beautiful. I will be returning when next in the area.

Had a excellent starter and a meal for me and the side beautiful chinese,the ribs was to die for and the special curry was well excellent please do try it you won't be disappointed trust me.

Me encanta este Chino, la comida es abundante y sabrosa. He probado un par de cosas fuera del menú y recomendaría su Satay, Szechuan, Singapore chow mein y su chop suey" al platillo. . . Muchos sabores encantador! Podría seguir! ! El servicio es muy amable y muy rápido! No me puedo quejar, la mejor de la ciudad de lejos.

Usually get a takeaway from Fu's when we are down in Caernarfon, but it was closed for refurb. So we had to find somewhere else.We are really glad we tried Winner, it was delicious.Everything was tasty, hot and a lot cheaper.Loved it and will definitely go again.

Fab meal for the family good price loads of food. We eat here every time we come from cheshire the ribs and beef are fantastic.

On holiday in wales decided to have a Chinese meal googled this one and was not disappointed best chips ever massive bag enough to share I had special fried rice curry and soft noodles my partner had special curry both fab plenty of meat in both meals would love them to move to beeston leeds we don't have a decent Chinese. also very clean. hope to go back one day great meal

Don't use this takeaway very often as its some distance from our house but on the occasions I have it has been good. Good quality of food, good prices and hassle free ordering. Always ready on time.

Fab spare ribs beef cooked lovely I'm from Cheshire wish this place was in my town 10 out of 10. Does not look good from outside but the food is lovely. We will go again thank you

Have had a couple of take outs from here and am quite impressed.Order over the phone and collect in 10 mins. Food cooked well and really plentiful and tasty. Prices are so good for the quality. Would definitely recommend and will be using again!

Located right at the end of my street so i'm a regurlar as you say !!! The menu is the same as any other chinesse but their black bean sauce is outstanding as are their fried rice dishes. Reasonably priced also compared to others in the centre of Caernarfon.

Located in a side street away from main roads or any shops, this place is easily missed. I had the duck in plum sauce and egg fried rice which is about £7.50 in all. Egg fried rice was generous and eggy, the plum sauce was nice but the duck itself was a bit disappointing in comparison with others locally.
