Food was absolutely delicious but…….. the restaurant area is terrible, it’s more like a train station cafe which is such a shame. Good job I hadn’t realised the restaurant was so uninviting as I simply wouldn’t of booked. Also it was absolutely freezing in the there! This place would lend itself to doing buffet nights as plenty of space in there. Such a shame surroundings let it down.

Honestly this was one of the best Chinese I have had, it made anywhere in Manchester Chinatown look rubbish. Serving you a mixture sichuan dishes and Cantonese fare. Pricing very reasonable £10-20 a dish Portion size was big, all 5 dishes we ordered was freshly prepared and tasted exceptional. Purposely ordered more so we could have it again the next day as we live far away. I would highly recommend if your in the vacinity I probably would even travel that far for it as it was that good.

Lovely place, amazing food, fairly good prices- Cash or bank transfer only. We came here for the first time just before covid when it was a pretty new place. Food has been just as good every time we have come since. Portions are good, always leave the place full! Lovely staff too. Atmosphere is good, came in on a Thursday and it was still busy.

Overall Experience - one of the best Chinese food around the corner 1. Jasmine rice - fragrant and sweet 2. Kong po chicken - savoury, but not salty and spicy enough 3. Tofu with fish - fish is fresh, tofu is soft, overall fish is savoury 4. Stir fry pork belly - highly recommended, savoury, spicy, tasted amazing 5. Sour noodles - sour, noodles are springy, broth is warm 6. Service - friendly staff 7. Serving time - 15 mins 8. Affordability - around £13 per person 9. Atmosphere - clean

Found the restaurant on trip advisor and looked forward to something a bit more spicy on the day. Unfortunately only cash or bank transfer was accepted which was not convenient as this was a business trip expense.

Extremely Excellent original Sichuan Chongqing cuisines were enjoyed today. Enjoyed the Hotpot Hogo as I had enjoyed earlier in Chongqing. Would definitely strongly recommend for all to relish on this very original Sichuan cuisines. Lovely Chinese restaurant with nearby free parking. Welcoming, cheerful atmosphere, generous portions of subtly flavoured dishes. We had visited again today, the New Year ie. 1 January’2024. Which was a tasty selection of prawn starters. Then for mains, we enjoyed the regular Hotpot Hogo , plus noodles and our favourite chicken in red hot chilies etc. It was all delicious. It is definitely a very super place to eat. Most of the other customers seemed to be Oriental, and many locals too,which is itself a great recommendation in itself. Just remember it is a CASH only place. I have been coming to this place regularly for the last three years , mainly because of the Extremely Excellent original Sichuan Chongqing cuisine chef cum owner, who is definitely one of the best in the world. Mind you I have been travelling all over the world. Incidentally, I have been visiting China from 2004 and have tasted some of the best Sichuan’s cuisines in mainly Chongqing and Chengdu and the nearby Sichuan Province areas. Thanks again for the lovely happy time.

We ate here for the first time not too long ago…safe to say we weren’t disappointed. The food was great and the portion sizes were adequate. However, the price of the food was high for the portion we received. Overall we would recommend this place 👍

Amazing food... Loved it... One of the best Chinese food I had after moving to UK

we came here as, we heard that a lot of locals had been. however upon arrival the atmosphere was really cold, both physically (no heating on). and socially. The décor also left a lot to be desired (no pictures). the staff themselves were good however when i asked if I could add some cashew nuts to my meal, the staff replied that the owner is very stingy. the second thing that was odd was that the manager said that the owner is always watching and pointed to the cctv cameras. and finally the food was okay, nothing special. however the bill was really expensive, £8 for a portion of salt and pepper chips. Unfortunately we had bad experience. i hope you a good one. if things changes i would be more than happy to try again.

Lovely polite, attentive and happy waitresses began my fantastic experience, followed by what I can only describe as absolutely fantastic food to take away. Very impressed, unlike the majority of Chinese restaurants, the chicken chow mein, I ordered was not boiled, rubbery strips but fantastic perfectly cooked morsels of wonderfulness. The seaweed and prawn chow mein, I asked for not listed on the menu was excellent. Overall the best and nicest Chinese experience in north wales. Super generous on the prawn crackers; great value for money at £26 I am changing our usual Chinese in favour of this incredible restaurant!

This time I came to Wales and had dinner here two days in a row. Today I ordered a large plate of chicken and mapo tofu. The large plate chicken was excellent, the chicken was springy and tender. The tofu is tender and tastes good. The service attitude of the waitress is very good

The best Chinese restaurant in Bangor The restaurant patron is very helpful and respectful, and the food is delicious and reasonably priced I ordered 6 dishes and 4 drinks for 50 pounds, and before I left, the children who were with me were given sweets.

Surprise, I happened to visit this restaurant by chance. The most delicious is the fried beef river, which is even better than many Hong Kong tea restaurants. We also ordered steamed sea bass, saliva chicken, and Chongqing hot and sour noodles. Except for the saliva chicken, which is a bit "shoe", the others All first class

Take away food order. Good food, varied menu, nice staff. The menu online is worded a little oddly so worth clarifying on the phone when you order to make sure you're getting what you think you are. Collection and cash only.

Located in town centre next to a car park. We didn't book and they had space for us but it was busy so we'd book next time. Drink choice is limited but the food menu is great. Happily go back again.

Yet another great meal here. There are two menus , one is spicier dishes. Really enjoyed the salt and pepper ribs and the sweet and sour chicken. Be sure to take cash as cards are not accepted.

The food was very authentic and delicious! If you can take spicy food, the steamed chicken with chili sauce is a nice Szechuan starter that will get the appetite going. Otherwise, the sweet and sour pork is fried till crisp and coated with enough sauce for a great balance!

The atmosphere was relaxing, the staff were attentive and polite and most of all the food here was great! It was our first time dining here tonight celebrating father's day and we all very much enjoyed ourselves. Would 100% recommend this resturant and we will be back soon!

Best Chinese food in Bangor, though cash only is annoying.

Now I love Chinese food but takeout just doesn't do it justice. Dined in with a couple of friends and was blown away! Completely traditional and sublime! Everything was share plates and we all had a great time. The atmosphere was light and warm, the server treated you like old friends who'd been away too long. Food was fresh and delightful, plenty to go around and we even had leftovers we brought home. Can't go back to takeaways after that, just spoiled us rotten.

The best Chinese food ever. Cash only and all very authentic. Not Anglesised chinese food at all. I love the preserved eggs, the beef and white carrot hotpot, The cold tripe,the pickled cucumber the constant flow of jasmine tea oh the list goes on and on .The warm welcome when we arrive. We are always recognized.

Went for lunch with my daughter and granddaughter and chose our meals off the lunchtime offer. There was a fantastic choice of meals available and the service was impecable. The food was hot, freshly cooked and plentiful. We left full up and happy. The meal was £10.50 for 2 courses and well worth the money forthe portion we received. Thank you 🙂

The Gentleman was very nice when he greated us. It only takes cash. You get plast plates and rice in plastic bowls. The food came in drib and drabs. My fiancé got his sauce first, 5 min later his rice, 10 min later my king prawns came and the gentleman came over asking if I was alright and I said I'm waiting on my rice. 5 min later and it wasn't busy at all, due to the fact we were there at 5pm. We won't be going back in a rush.

Met some old friends here for a meal. Wasn't expecting to be blown away as the menu listed online isn't very extensive, but the one in the restaurant certainly is. Very tasty food, massive portions, fair prices and a great range of traditional Szechuan dishes. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Can't wait to visit again!

There is absolutely no way that this is anything but an average Chinese takeaway/restaurant charging exorbitant prices and masquerading on Tripadvisor as something special. Far too much salt in a boiled chicken stew in a watery gravy with a few bits of sliced peppers pretending to be Satay sauce for £10.50p. More meat in a pot noodle. Avoid and of course Cash only!

The first mouthful had me thinking that I'd need to fly out to the far East to taste food as good as this. The gtot lots were mind blowingly good. I also ordered a standard stir fry vegetable to test the standard of the chef, and it was outstanding. The people of Bangor are very lucky to have Chinese, in particular Szechuan, food at their doorstep. It'll be my first port of call for dinner in my next trip and I'll definitely be having lunch before I left.

Exceptional Chinese (Szechuan) food 10/10

On the way home from connafa, I saw Google reviews saying that I must try it. as expected. too delicious. Kuang Kuang ate 5 bowls of rice. The dishes are too delicious. Tomato egg drop soup and fish fillet tofu soup are both delicious. Do not miss passing through! ! ! The store clerk is also very cute. Talked to us a lot.

We come here for food frequently and we love every time. Very tasty food served by very friendly and helpful staff. Reasonable prices and it's cash only. Pleasant atmosphere and very clean restaurant. The beef noodles and the lamb hot pot are to die for 🙂

Parking was great right outside. Staff were super welcoming from when we arrived, we asked for a recommendation because the menu was absolutely massive, I was suggested to have the beef, really mouthwatering, succulent beef. Wife had Szechuan chicken we will be going again. If you are used to basic UK type Chinese restaurant food, this will wake up your taste buds.

Well, I have to say, the gentleman who looked after us from when we came in was an absolutely wonderful host. Offered suggestions and ensured we were aware of the cash only payment as soon as we entered, so as not to be disappointed. The food is outstanding. Highly flavourful and well made. I can't believe how delicious the noodles were... I could have eaten a pan of those on their own!! We had a nice chat with our host and promised we'd be back. I can assure you we will. Get the crispy shredded beef and the noodles!!!

The best source of Chinese food in Gwynedd, I daresay North Wales. They mostly do homestyle sichuan cuisine, but there are a few options for those more accustomed to British-Chinese-takeaways. However, make no mistake, this is a proper restaurant that serves proper Chinese food. When I last visited, they accepted cash only, which was kind of awkward, but it matters little because the quality of the food was exceptional and the quality of the service was quite good too. I can with confidence rank this among the best restaurants/eateries in Gwynedd, and I can't wait to come again.

Well its bright Chinese lucky red, nothing on the walls, a bit sparse but modern and recently done up obviously. Its full of Chinese and if you don't mind eating every part of an animal in a truly traditional Chinese way then this is it....

I have been to many Asian restaurants with my job but wasn't expecting the standards to be so low Took ages to get any service, when we did my daughter was served diet lemonade! Not in a glass but with a can of Asda home...
