Was just nice, loved the staff slightly more than the food but will definitely go back

Really tasty and fresh food! Can't comment on eating in, but we'll definitely be getting takeaway from Wings whenever we want Chinese!

We ordered takeout. Wasn't good tonight. Took 15 mins from order to delivery (!) and it showed: ribs were dry, veggies were soggy, flavour was bland throughout, quite obviously the food had been microwaved and sent over. I generally don't write reviews but this time I had to say something.

Very rude staff, made us wait 45 mins for food only for them to cancel on us. I have kids waiting for food and my husbands birthday. So upset and disappointed, they ruined my husbands birthday!!!!

Really good local Chinese food.

Needed to try a new Chinese takeaway as our previous favourite had declined in quality. Wings was recommended to me and it absolutely lived up to its recommendation! It is more expensive than some of the other Chinese restaurants/takeaways around, but in my opinion the quality made it worth it! We had three starters (prawn toast, chicken satay, salt and chilli wings) - which were all excellent. The satay sauce (which is my favourite part of a Chinese takeaway) was excellent - thick and flavourful. We had two mains - lemon chicken and beef in black bean sauce - both were excellent and good size portions (I only managed about half of my portion as I was full, but taste wise was sad I couldn't manage the rest!) We then ordered egg fried rice and chicken noodles as sides. We really didn't need to have ordered both - we had a lot of leftovers. The noodles were excellent: tasty, packed full of chicken and beansprouts and whilst it was expensive for a portion of noodles, the amount they packed into the container was impressive. We probably would have still had leftovers even if we had only had the one noodles and no rice! The order took 1 hr from ordering to arriving (delivery) - and when the food arrived it was piping hot, and accompanied by some tasty and fresh complimentary prawns crackers. This won't be a regular treat due to the price, but when we are really in the mood for a Chinese, this is definitely where I will be going back to!

We went here as a family of seven after being at our close relative's funeral earlier that day. We received what we thought was very personal attention, and could not fault the food, ambience, comfort etc. It made a difficult day a bit easier to bear. Thank you.

It is great to eat in the restaurant and the staff are respectful

One of my favourite local eateries. It consistently delivers great tasting, reasonable and traditional Chinese food. Their Sichuan dishes are particularly good - dry fried spicy beans.

Good quality overall. The crispy duck was 5*. Did not taste mass produced. But the plum sauce had a very sweet Hoi Sin that let it down a bit. Spring rolls starter had too much dough ratio to veg for me, nice crispiness and portion OK. Again 4* chow mein. Would be 5* if it had more veg or beef or both. Sweet n sour nice but at that price, I would hope so. Cut down on the plastic though guys... We didn't want your fortune cookies wrapped in a mass of one time use plastic

Service is always good , I came 10-20 mins before closing one day (unknowingly) . I put my order in . The chowmein I had ordered was so dry and inedible I had to bin it . I’ve always had a good experience but not this time. This place is a hit & miss

We’ve been coming here for years - the best Chinese I’ve ever had. Try the bang bang chicken - you won’t be disappointed!!

This is a restaurant we visit from time to time. On our recent visit we had duck and pancakes appetiser, 2 chicken mains and 2 rice. The food was ok but no more than that. We also had 4 bottles of beer. So far so good. However it was a shock when the bill came, £64.00 for 2 people (inc service). Maybe I haven’t caught up with recent restaurant price rises but for an ‘inexpensive’ meal out it seemed to me very expensive.

Good food, service was also good and the atmosphere was good enough. Portion sizes were more than adequate. Some dishes were a little pricey but this is definitely a theme everywhere you go.

Located in a quaint town in Barnet. Second visit here. We decided to leave on the first visit, it was the height of the summer and it was too warm inside. They didn't want to turn on the Air Con and simply suggested keeping the front door open. So we decided to return back in autumn. We were one of the first customers there, and it got much busier throughout the evening. The menu is the same as the paper take away menu. We opted for the mix hors d'oeuvres. £20 for two, it was nice, we particularly enjoyed the freshly made spring rolls, but it looked rather bare. For our main, we chose the sizzling chicken with green peppers and black bean sauce, special fried rice, chicken chow mein with thinjl noodles and beansprouts, and king prawn with cashewnuts and yellow bean sauce, this dish was literally had two ingredients, nice prawns but nothing else, disappointing for over £10. The wait for the food wasn't long but it just didn't taste amazing for me. Portion sizes for the price were not too generous either. We had a pint of beer and a soft drink, total came to approximately £73 with added service charge and complimentary fortune cookies. It was an ok first visit but not sure I'd be returning. Had better elsewhere.

The best Chinese restaurant I have been to. My dad has always given this place a crazy amount of praise and I can see why, the food is extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. I was also shocked at the price considering the food and service was impeccable.

Ordered food at 825pm on a Sunday and delivery was 1hr 10minutes after received it at 935pm.opened boxes to find chicken wings overcooked burnt and way to salty to eat, chicken noodles were so bland no taste and sweet and sour didn't have no zing flavourless. Won't be ordering from here again . Half food went straight to the bin 😔 Disappointed

Delivery is currently 30 mins overdue Initially we were thinking the prices were very expensive compared to many previous Chinese restaurants. This service does not match the price. Now I'm getting worried about how the food will taste!

This restaurant is unbelievable. 33 years of life in London and never come close to a Chinese restaurant meeting my expectations but Wings totally exceeds them! Amazing quality food cooked with love and care, as if cooking for family. Please never change!!

Expensive but delicious, sweet and sour prawn balls and vegetarian hor devours. Only suggestion is to have slightly larger steam holes as it was a bit steamed by the time it arrived. Will visit again for delivery order, ordered on Google Just Eat. Due to price though wouldn't be too often.

Great to visit a restaurant that serves good quality, old school Chinese food. People who serve could be happier but that's not a problem as the food is very good.

If good Chinese food is what you are after what more can you want. We went there first the day before NYE and have been back again today. Delicious food, we had duck pancakes, beef in black bean, sweet sour prawns, lamb with ginger and spring onion, kung po king prawns, special fried rice, egg fried rice and vermicelli noodles. Every single dish divine. Quick service, friendly staff and casual in vibe. It’s a no frills restaurant but who goes to a restaurant for frills.

No faults. Ordered a takeaway and went to collect. Food was hot, tasty and well cooked. Friendly staff and nice place inside. Price are reasonable. Thanks guys for a wonderful take away will definitely be back and reccomend to others.

Arguably, Good Friday evening might not be the best way to judge a restaurant as far as service goes during busy times, but I can't praise enough the quality of cooking and the service. Both my brother and I enjoyed the dishes we ordered. For what it's worth as recommendations, we had chicken and sweetcorn soup, a crispy aromatic duck and sliced duck with ginger and spring onions and egg-fried rice. If you've ever wondered, whether your dish had come out of the freezer and got reheated in the micro, not here! Our food tasted fresh. The bill didn't have service included, a pleasant change. Naturally, we tipped. On the whole, an excellent evening.

Superb food. Have restarted visiting Wings after a long time. Food is extremely tasty and massive portions. Very pleasant and friendly service. The decor does need updating (losing one star), but doesn't detract from a very enjoyable meal. Our 'go to' Chinese restaurant now.

After reading a review of dared decor and plastic seats we (group of 5) were unsure what to expect! We're so glad we went on the good food side of reviews, I've posted a photo to show it looked great, seats were lovely and comfy (not plastic) staff friendly and the food very tasty and quantities good. It was also busy so gave a nice atmosphere.

Not only lovely fish and chips, yummy. But decent honest owners that found my found my bag left in the shop with all my money, phone etc and kept it safe till following day when I called in there.

To the management of Wings: Please take note. Visited this place hoping for good food and good atmosphere. Food isn't bad at all but not good enough to justify the overblown price. Atmosphere is non existent; the décor is drab and spartan...this establishment needs serious renovation and bringing into the 21st not 1986! It feels more like a café masquerading as a restaurant but with middle end restaurant prices. I visited on the Chinese New Year which happens to coincide with my birthday so it was something of a disappointment.

Very high quality food, very attentive service, reasonably priced too

Unfortunately the restaurant is nothing as it used to be. I've heard many stories of the great food that Wings Restaurant used to serve. But that is not the case anymore... It was bad from the moment Mr and my partner stepped in. It was really quiet, only one table was taken by a couple of customers. We asked where can we sit to which the waiter answered 'anywhere' - I guess that included the two tables that still had dirty dishes on. We decided to look past it and still have some food. It's sad to say that it was the worse Chinese food I've ever had, actually it was the worse meal in a restaurant I've ever had. Greasy, stinky and just all around disgusting. Will not be returning.

Bad, the place is on its knees. Used to come here as a young man with my friends. Back then it was the poshest place around and the food was amazing. Now its not even a shadow of its former self. We were the only ones in there the whole evening with no collections or takeaways. The food wasn't terrible but it wasn't good either. "Mediocre" which is at best average and nothing you'd want to come back for. Very sad. Goodbye Wings. I will be surprised if you make it past Christmas 2021.

In the current COVID-19 restricted time, this is an establishment that I'm happy to visit (as a takeaway customer). They take their precautions very seriously and maintain a high speed standard.

We order takeaways nearly every week and never get tired of the amazing flavours, diverse options and consistent fresh quality we don’t seem to get anywhere else. We are quiet picky when it comes to food and highly recommend Wings Restaurant. A local gold mine!

Ordered a take out a couple of days ago and massively disappointed. Food was average at best, stingy sized portions and VERY expensive. We paid £41 for something we normally pay less than £30 in Enfield that's so much better. Tried this place once and that was enough..

I took my mum out for her birthday and we had a lovely meal. The food was very tasty and we will definitely return. It is nice to find a local Chinese retsaurant with good quality food as they are finding harder to come by nowadays!

Recommended to visit by some relatives and wanted to try somewhere local we had never tried, whilst benefitting from Eat Out To Help Out. Had a really great meal. The food was delicious, the satay sauce for the chicken was amazing! All food was served piping hot and obviously had been freshly cooked and served to us straight away. The lady who served us was great; friendly, chatty and proactive with service. The meal was great and very good value for money. Would recommend and we will definitely visit again!

Wow! I’m full and satisfied- lovely staff, service, food. The waiter kept topping up our tea and making sure it’s hot. I recommend this place to everyone- couples, families and sole diners !

Enjoyed a lovely meal for three.

We have always gone to Wings until they changed hands and were under a different management so we stopped using the take away service as the food was not up to scratch. Happy to say that now we are back on board with the great Chinese food we were used to like before. We loved everything esp all our chicken dishes there was nothing left over. We will be back to eat in and continue with take aways. Thank you Wings!

we were the only people in the restaurant on Sunday. The manager was incredibly attentive and took orders that involved several adjustments to the menu due to difficult dietary needs. He was marvellous and we enjoyed a good, full but light lunch

Siempre fuimos a Wings hasta que cambiaron de manos y estaban bajo una administración diferente, así que dejamos de usar el servicio de comida para llevar, ya que la comida no estaba a la altura. Me alegra decir que ahora estamos de vuelta a bordo con la excelente comida china que nos gustaba antes. Nos encantó todo, especialmente todos nuestros platos de pollo, no quedaba nada. Volveremos a comer y continuar con comida para llevar. Gracias alas!

Nice restaurant with nice selection in menu. Went for the flank steak soup and was very tempted to go mapo tofu.

No he estado aquí por mucho tiempo, pero bajo la nueva administración, sin duda volveremos. Crujientes y sabrosos rollitos de verduras. El pato estaba sabroso según mi esposo. Me encantó el tofu en salsa de frijoles negros y los fideos estaban deliciosos. Personal amable y profesional. Estoy deseando volver pronto.

I've never been to this restaurant before, the food was amazing. Portions not to big. The staff very chatty, but also gave us space to enjoy our meal. I will be going again.

Heard this had been a really good restaurant in the past, but had gone downhill in recent years. A friend recommended it recently and read reviews which said under new management and had really improved. Had a lovely meal with great service on week before Christmas, best Chinese I've had in years.

Nice local Barnet Chinese since changing back things have improved greatly, good attentive service with a good menu , takeaway always promptly ready.

So sad to be saying this but the wings we knew, as a family who regularly dined and used their take away service for the last 25 years, has disappeared.The first time we experienced the new takeover we noticed a difference but didn't want to go anywhere else and wanted to remain loyal.Having persevered with take aways hoping it really was just a glitch, on 5 different occasions we felt let down by both the quality and portion sizes of the main ingredients within the dish.Our favourites noodles are now bland with no taste and whether you have the veg, mixed meats, chicken or king prawns you have to virtually dig for those ingredients as the dish has been replaced by more and more noodles, now a mountain of noodles and nothing else.No more spring rolls given as a complimentary, and the large bag of prawn crackers, once enough for 3/4 has shrunk to half the size. WINGS WINGS PLEASE DON'T FLY AWAY COME BACK AND LET THE OLD WAY STAY!

Cené aquí regularmente durante 10 años, pero cuando cambió a Schuan, quedé muy impresionado con la comida y los precios (lo intenté una vez y no regresé). Tuvimos una comida familiar improvisada a principios de semana y el antiguo WINGS está ATRÁS, y en plena forma. El servicio siempre ha sido amable y eficiente, y la oferta actual de WINGS es el restaurante favorito de mis 10 años.

Everything was great! Hot and sour soup, duck pancakes and banana fritters! Service also excellent and nice that it wasn't noisy at all.

As i walked into the restaurant, i cried tears of joy which formed a river of felicity. Voluminous, ha, that's an understatement for Wings,it's indescribable, the greatest, it is. It was Astute. "help me" i shouted jocularly to my company, i am drowning, drowning in a river of joy. The ambrosial taste of sweet and sour chicken bouncing of the divine egg fried rice was exquisite."no more melancholy" i shouted and i knew i was free, free to eat sapid, free to eat wings. Después de probar a Schuan una vez cuando el nuevo propietario asumió el juramento de no volver jamás, escuché a través de la vid o principalmente de Richard (Wing Ki) que ha sido el chef desde la concepción, que había vuelto a cocinar su menú / Wings. El nuevo propietario ha considerado oportuno volver al nombre de Wings y, lo que es más importante, cocinar lo que los clientes quieren: una lección bien aprendida "no arregles lo que no está roto". La única decepción fueron los rollitos de primavera que no han cambiado, de lo contrario todo está bien una vez más. Ahora, por favor, comiencen a abrir la hora del almuerzo al menos los fines de semana para que los niños puedan venir.

Alas o Sichuan o lo que se llama a sí mismo ahora es volver a la normalidad! Habiendo sido clientes durante muchos años estábamos un poco preocupados cuando cambió de manos. Gracias a Dios ahora a Richard en la cocina y mi pollo bang bang era precioso, como era carne doble preparado. El lemonchicken no era genial, pero era adecuada. Sally y Thomas aún están allí, así que el servicio es tan bueno como siempre. La Moraleja es que si no está roto, no lo arregles!

We have been using wings for 5 years now, normally take away, but sometimes eating in, and have never been disappointed. If ordering take away, it is always ready on time & well packaged..the special rice is great, as is the beef chop suey....recommend.

Creo que era el nombre antiguo alas, pero ahora se llama de Sichuan. Nos apetecía un chino y estaba conduciendo el pasado y encontramos este restaurante. No nos decepcionó en absoluto. El personal era increíblemente amable, y la comida era muy sabrosa. La comida era de cata limpio y no cubiertas en aceite que también es adorable ver. Los precios pueden ser en promedio 1 o 2 £ libras más que el promedio local chino, pero es compensado en el tamaño de la porción. Tienes tamaños grandes puede ser compartida, así que una porción de arroz frito huevos entre 3 personas en lugar de una sola, por ejemplo. El menú no es enorme en comparación con otros restaurantes chinos pero no faltaba nada, deben concentrarse en la calidad de la cantidad. Recomiendo este lugar, la comida y el personal eran todos muy buenos.

Tengo sentimientos encontrados de escribir esta crítica, la mayoría de ellos mal. Yo, junto con mi familia hemos vivido en Barnett por más de 20 años y hemos sido clientes habituales de alas, normalmente pidiendo algo al menos una vez a la semana. Ha sido absolutamente coherente en ese momento, era nada menos que una institución familiar.
