Wing On in Darlington

Orderd from Wing on , on justeat and won't be ordering again . Bland food.....strange tasting water chestnuts in the prawn dish, powdery tasting curry, then the special chowmein consisted of onions sloppy juice and more onions .WHY DOES JUST EAT allow sub standard takeaway food it's not the first poor takeaway iv had after ordering from justeat therefore will not be ordering again from either Wing on or justeat !!!

Order a takeaway tonight as it new and wasn't disappointed. The dumplings were lush and the spring rolls were nice and light not thick batter like some places. Partner had king prawn curry and the prawns were actually king size. Would defo order from here again. Also didn't have to wait hours for our food. Was delivered within 30 minutes of order

Food quality is good, we ordered munchy box yesterday, generous portions, food arrived early and piping hot. Will be ordering again.

Have used Wing-On for many years, even through their bad times when they had a one star hygiene rating. Never had a bad meal, never any upset stomachs. Food always hot fish and delicious. HOWEVER, change of ownership has led to shop interior having make over do it looks better but the food is atrocious. I'm sure my chicken was off, but I only ate a couple of mouthfuls and threw the rest out. I'm glad I did as I'm sure I would have been very unwell, rather than being just a bit off colour the following day. There was one small pice of ginger in my ginger & spring onion chicken - it tasted like gravy granules with onion in. My husband's sweet and sour was edible but had a strange smell that I've only noticed in cheap microwave meals before and the chips stunk the car out on the way home with the smell of old fat - it was raining heavily but I drove with the window open I won't be going back

We regularly have takeaways from Wing On. We have found that the food is of high quality. The meat and vegetables are fresh and the meals are well prepared. The service is excellent and the staff are very freindly and polite. Highly recommended!

Have been using thebwing on for years... Their Thai red curry T4 is amazing... We get the same meal each time we visit.

Claim to do Thai dishes. Ordered a mild curry and it was disgusting. Most of it ended up in the bin. Chicken balls tasteless.

The customer service in this place is terrible. The lady behind the desk swore at my partner because they didn’t have the dish he asked for despite it being on the menu. Not his fault at all. Rude rude rude.

This is the best Chinese in Darlington, the food is always perfect and full of flavour the receptionist is always chatty and friendly who always remembers who I am! The guy who owns it it's amazing! Even when he doesn't have a delivery driver he will cool the food and personally deliver it! He clearly loves what he does and wants his business to strive, even if it means the extra work from himself! The menu is big and I'm never scared or dossapointwd to try something new! The salt and pepper ribs are my favourite! Thanks wing on for providing great food and fab customer service.

Great take away and excellent value for money, always a speedy delivery with excellent staff behind the counter. I would recommend to anyone

Ok so from the outside this place does not look very chic but have to say the food here was fantastic. The girl who served us was lovely especially because we were just randomly ordering things, gobsmacked that deep fried chilli beef wasn't on the menu. If you order a certain amount you get a free litre bottle of fizzy drink which was good. On picking up the order the girl had nearly forgotten something and the boss yelled at her which we didn't feel was truly necessary. After all she had been lovely to us and we really did feel upset for her. We ordered a mix starter which was yummy. Sweet and sour chicken balls, again very tasty. House special chow mein, satay beef, lemon chicken and a beef curry, all of which were delicious. In fact, we managed to have enough leftover for the next day (obviously we reheated sensibly). Overall, good value for money. Cooked in about 30 minutes and all delicious. Please add on the shredded chilli beef in the future and maybe an orange chicken.

I popped in for a quick wonton soup and special fried rice, and was impressed. The soup was tasty, with fresh greens and good wontons. I regard wonton soup as a good test, and Wing On passed with flying colours. The special fried rice was also a pleasant surprise, with big tasty slices of meat and large juicy prawns topping the fluffy fried rice. The restaurant went through a rough patch in January and was nearly shut down, but it has really worked had to get back on its feet. I'll certainly be back.
