The food was OK, but the savoury food was basically just little sandwhiches..no brioche buns or wraps. Scones were lovely and so were cakes. The view was nothing great. A lot of bird poo on the roof below. Room itself is quite dated looking. Finally staff were pleasant enough but never came back once to ask if everything was OK or if I wanted a refill of my coffee (which apparent you can get unlimited but I never knew as no on offered) so just a lack of attention. Over all the experience was OK.. but not really worth the money.

Afternoon tea really disappointing bread was definitely not fresh, definitely not value for money! It was to include unlimited Tea but we were charged for tea also! My son is quite fussy and we advised this on arrival and were told “not to worry” just let them know what he wants and it would be sorted! We ordered 2x haloumi sticks starters and was shocked when the bill was £23.00 for them as they advised they could only put it on as a 2 courses for £23.00 - total rip off will definitely not be back

Used to really like it. However, one time I booked a table for two just to have a coffee and maybe a tea in an afternoon and as it was around christmas, they thought we came for the afternoon tea service, so I ended up paying 70 quid for a full on tea menu, when the only thing I wanted was some coffee for which I was not expecting to pay more than 5 quid. Probably my fault as I should have said something, but when we sat the brought everything to the table instantly, so, yeah, not my cup of tea (no joke). Also, a huge rip off to be honest, you'll be better off with a roll from greggs than one of the micro sandwiches or pasties which reminded of the prepared food section of tesco. Do not get me wrong, staff members are very welcoming, helpful and attentive, but I didn't like how I was already sentenced to pay the afternoon tea when I specifically mentioned we only wanted to book the table to enjoy a coffee, and we were not told there was going to be mandatory afternoon tea for bookings.

I would give the afternoon tea a miss due to the tiny scones, sub par quality jam and the cakes did not taste high quality or made in house either. Sandwiches we’re also under-filled and had bland fillings, staff did not check back just chatting by the till and were confused when I asked to remove their 10% service charge which was not mentioned when booking.

The chairs were pretty dirty. The plates of the tea cups were dirty too. The afternoon tea was the worst I've ever tried and I've been to more than 30 since I've moved to the UK 2 years ago. My tea was basically a generic tea bag in a random clean cup. Avoid.

I booked the restaurant for our work Christmas night out. Communication regarding the booking was good. However on arrival we were quite disappointed. The website and festive menu information had shown festive photos with crackers and decorations, so not what we expected. There were no table decorations such as Christmas crackers, or lit candles/lamps and not even quiet music playing in the background to create a Christmas feel. Staff were pleasant but seemed very inexperienced with no senior staff to support them in the restaurant. We had to ask staff to come over to our table to order our drinks at the start of our evening and during our meal, even although the restaurant wasn't busy. Staff did not pour everyone's drinks. The food was lovely which made a big difference. Simple improvements would have created a much more inviting festive atmosphere.

The view isn’t actually that good, the tables are very wobbly so whenever I tried to cut my steak it would shake and it was very irritating, my boyfriends steak was cooked medium where as mine was more rare and we both asked for medium rare, we got a bottle of red merlot for £30 and when the waiter was pouring it he spilled the wine over the table and didn’t even clean it up he just passed the drinks over with it still being wet, and he didn’t know how to pour wine either it was a hard watch, there were daddy king legs as well as small flies in the room which was annoying, there wasn’t too many people here either, the steaks including the sauce were 36 which I think is overpriced with the poor service they have here, desserts were okay, the sticky toffee pudding tasted like they got it from the store and not fresh, the bathrooms are nice, the chairs are okay, the food as a whole was quite nice but I was expecting a better over all vibe

Booked high tea for 2. We had a window seat overlooking the rooftops of Glasgow. Enjoyed the experience but to be honest I've had better food. I felt the sandwiches had been made much earlier because the bread wasn't as soft as it should have been. One scone each and they were tiny. The cakes were okay but not great. We struggled to get anyone to serve us more tea when our tea was cold. So overall I loved the venue but felt the food could have been better.

When I first arrived there was nobody there and after giving my booking name they asked if I was eating alone, though the booking was for 2 people. The view which was the main reason for booking this restaurant with a guest from out of town, was ok - it does look out over the city but mainly at seagulls and rooftops. The door outside whistled and rattled, periodically slamming open and shut, throughout the meal. The cocktail menu which says something along the lines of ‘if you don’t see your drink, as for it and we can make one for you’ but they didn’t have the ingredients for the cocktail I asked for from their own menu - I believe a french martini. I then asked for amaretto which they also didn’t have and gave up and took a plain gin and tonic. The drink my friend asked for also wasn’t available so she got wine. I had the thai curry and added chicken, followed by ice cream. The curry was pretty awful and very watery. The ice cream was fine. The service, food and drink were all pretty poor and I wouldn’t go back.

Went here for a friends birthday with high expectations, severely disappointed as my friend had the chicken burger and had eaten the majority of it before finding the centre to be pink, when brought to staff attention we were assured it was a blood vessel (which it clearly was not, we assume they thought we would believe this as we are young students) my friend is now experiencing the symptoms of salmonella, we then phoned the restaurant again purely to make sure this issue is taken care of and that it didn’t happen to anyone else however still no apology just asked what we wanted them to do about it and that If symptoms worsen we should attend the hospital. For the price we payed especially and as it was meant to be a special day, we left feeling undermined and ignored. Will 100% not be back!

The view is very nice, about the same height as the buildings around the restaurant. So you have a nice side view over the city with chimneys, towers, older and more modern buildings. Very disappointing experience overall. Went for a family dinner on a Saturday evening and were only 1 of 3 tables in. Service wasn’t great considering the lack of customers, very limited drinks choice with no alcohol free cocktails despite the menu mentioning this. Food was below average and very very overpriced. Especially given the portion sizes. One of our guests had to wait significantly longer than the rest of us for their food, again despite there being no other customers waiting. We had to send back one of our drinks as the glass had a crack in it. Another of our table didn’t eat their meal as the chicken wasn’t fully cooked. The bill was ridiculous for what we had and the quality of the food and service. We ended up leaving without ordering desserts and went elsewhere as we couldn’t justify paying the prices. The restaurant itself is nice with okay views but very lacking in atmosphere and evidently, customers. Wouldn’t recommend at all, and will not be returning. Zero value for money!

Visited windows restaurant for “Afternoon Tea” several times. A hidden gem in Glasgow city centre with stunning rooftop views, and if your lucky to experience a day in Glasgow when the sun is out, they have 2 mini terraces at each end of the restaurant to allow you a peak at the spectacular rooftop views over Glasgow City Centre. Food is always great, scones are excellent, always find the service great on arrival then seems to stagnate after this, a small observation. Overall great, the restaurant itself could do with a refurb, it has so much potential and would make a great rooftop hotel bar. Always on my list as a goto for Afternoon Tea.

I’ve never had worse service at a restaurant ever in my life. First of all we were sat down and waited 20 minutes before someone came over to offer us drinks “have you been served yet”. The place was not busy in the slightest and although there seemed to only be one or two waitresses, I don’t expect to wait this long before I’m offered a drink. We ordered our food and drinks together. Starters came out quickly, however there was a bit of a wait in between the main course, and still no sign of our drinks. We’d ordered 2 espresso martinis and reminded the waitress we were still waiting. I felt like the waitress was avoiding us, constantly coming over to the table next to us to have a chat with the two American guests talking about the city, whisky, and how they were enjoying their food, while not even looking at us and having her back to us constantly. Um, we’ve been sat here for an hour and haven’t had anything to drink? When our main courses came out the waitress asked us if we needed anything else, to which we reminded her for a second time that we still haven’t got our drinks and would also like some tap water for the table and vinegar for our fish and chips. Our espresso martinis came halfway through the meal with deflated foam meaning it had been sat waiting for a while. I had haggis pesto pasta which was swimming in oil, and the spaghetti had been broken up into tiny pieces like a baby would eat it. We never received our water or our vinegar but were fed up of everything and just wanted to leave this horrible atmosphere. I’m an incredibly apologetic person and have worked in the hospitality industry for 6 years, and I would never expect guests to have an experience like we did. I will never forget the horrible service I received in here and the general unwanted feeling that surrounded us. Also the decor is awful like we were sitting in an old folks home and horrible overhead lighting. I can’t stop telling people how awful this restaurant is. Better management needed

The staff were very attentive to our allergies and ensured that all was well. However, the coffee and tea were a bit tasteless and the staff gave up on attending to us toward the end. The food was plentiful and included pastry savouries, finger sandwiches and a brioche roll with various fillings.Scones with butter, jam and cream.Tunnocks tea cakes and a selection of small cakes which included Victoria sponges.Tiffin squares Macaroons and a gorgeous orange cake. Can't eat them all? No problem! Our lovely waitress got them boxed up to take home. Another lovely feature was that the tea was hot rather than just warm and we had mugs rather than cups, meaning that we could enjoy a decent drink of tea. We were offered tea' top ups 'but as each pot held 3 cups we didn't require any extra. The experience was made even more special for my husband when a special plate with Happy Birthday piped in chocolate arrived bearing cake and cut strawberries. A lovely touch from the chef on hearing it was a birthday visit. To top it all. The views were terrific! We hope to visit again.
