Amazing food rice was delicious very kind defo go again everyone should go I recommend it a lot it’s delightful

Food was great , staff pleasant and order was ready for pick up when they had said.Enjoyed the food as this was the first time I had gone to the Ruby House in a few years

Small portions, terribly undercooked chips, nice curry sauce and nice beef and onion. Tried again after the main man sadly passed and they have became 10x worse.

We've tried every chineese in coatbridge and this is the worst. Curry sauce tastes nothing like curry. Chips where half cooked. Waste of money. Guys attitude was stinking too. Jasmine house or Gordon's are the best 2 in coatbridge

Absolutely disgusting raw fatty chicken and chips were raw managers attitude is appalling says he would not refund as i had tasted it. And admitted it was because he rushed it out shouting down the fon even though i told him to come and collect will not be ordering again.

Hands down they have the greatest chicken satay of all time. I am utterly grateful to whoever came up with that recipe.

Chix curry in the small containers, salt n chilli chips is just normal chips with chilli powder on them curry is cold even though I ordered in shop and waited till was ready, crossed road into house so less than 5 mins from shop. Will never be back, place has went right downhill and defo not value for money.

Portion sizes are tiny. Honestly, and yet the charge you the same amount as other takeaways in the area. If your hungry I wouldn't go here. Chicken Curry is served in a small container, where is in most places its a long one. You'd need to order two or serve small to serve all (at the same cost as everywhere else) Wouldn't go back.

The Chips were hard and all dead ends. Looked like they were dipped in the fryer about 5 times. Phoned them up and the man on the phone was being cheeky and was angry on the phone when I asked if I could get a replacement. I could hear them all shouting in the background about it. They refused to come back to the house and give fresh chips. The man on phone said we don’t get any refund or and replacement of chips and we just got to basically deal with it. Money wasted. This is the first time I had bother with ruby house. Sadly I won’t be ordering of them again as they told us not to phone them back for anything ever again. I can’t believe the way we got treated. Shocking

Best curry around always fresh and tasty my grandkids love chicken curry chicken satay and curry 😊 calling for a delivery every few weeks now

The Ruby house has reopened tonight after the passing of the owner (Jimmy) And without advertising there is a queue of about 50 customers outside proof of how much this was missed by far the best Chinese in Coatbridge same top class food and curry sauce

Favourites are special fried rice, beef curry, boiled rice and satay

Can’t believe the reviews on here as this is easily the BEST Chinese in Coatbridge been my regular for years have tried the rest during covid and they don’t compare SO glad jimmy and the boys are opening back up 👍👍

Lovely curry but they need to give you your curry in a long tray like most other chinese ! This is only thing that stops me ordering from here as I could eat two of you curries no problem ! Could be doing with a bit more vale for money

Went there purchased quite a large selection, we are all recovering from the gastronomic disaster the food was, will never be back

Ordered a beef curry and fried rice for me and my son. Got home and the curry is in a small container. Wow. Wont be going back

Best takeaway by far ..... been getting good from ruby house since 1989 .... same owners ... tried other places inbetween and although they were lovely I still would not see past ruby house

After a long hard day, my partner ordered food for himself and our 4 kids, the chips arrived undercooked and the grease was dripping off of them, the chicken balls looked lovely and crispy but the chicken inside was also undercooked. We called the restaurant to ask if he could send his driver with replacements and we would return the undercooked ones, in a polite manner of course, I was told to send the whole meal back and get my money back !! Shocked I asked if he could just replace them, I was then told it’s too much hassle! Never will I order from here again, the guy in the phone was an absolute dick !!

Best Chicken satay ive ever tried. Excellent Chinese, although menu is limited to 'traditional' Chinese, so not salt and chilli etc

great chinese would use it more if they done bigger portion ! every other takeaway gives you a long tray were this chinese dosent ! could eat two of there portion compaired to one anywhere else 😁

Curry sauce is amazing really amazing everything I've had from here has been outstanding apart from there there chips and chicken in not a fan of chicken unless it's chicken tikka

Called for hot food got warm after a second call to find out where the food was ....bloody shocking.....takes 45mins to deliver 0.4 miles won't be shopping there again.

Just ordered a takeaway , basic chicken curry fried rice , Singapore noodles and beef satay , everything is greasy and satay as tough as leather. The worst takeaway I have had in Coatbridge in over 30 years would not recommend to anybody

Have being eating here for over 20years , the curry sauce is dynamite, chips are always cooked and not soggy , beef is very tender , theres not much on the menu iv not tried and its all been brilliant ! Best curry house this side of china Jimmy the owner is great guy , very funny and always pleasant but his patter resembles a cold curry the next day ! Defo reccomend

Not a fan of this curry house at all.... Mind you have not tried it recently so therefore not sure if it has improved. Everyone has different tastes so therefore may be worth giving it a try yourself but personally I won't be visiting it again

Just got a home delivery meal from this shop tonight ended up getting meat in the vegetable spring rolls totally disgusting

Just had a take away from the ruby house gotta hand it to them curry sauce is the best I've tasted. Ps recipe would be great please chicken balls a little dry but better than most places that are usually like bricks but overall a tasty take away and Jimmy on the front is always happy I've been going for years and he's never changed towards customers.

Never liked the meal, curry sauce pure brown and burns your mouth ends up you can't taste anything as your mouth is on fire, seems a popular place but I don't rate it. If nowhere else is open go here 😢

I haven't been to Ruby house for awhile but went in tonight and noticed that his prices have increased. I asked for my usual breast chicken curry fried rice and I nearly dropped when he asked me for 7 pounds? I think a £1.30 increase...

Been going to this place for 21 years and my family even longer. Always tastes the same, brilliant! Good portions and good value. Love the ruby 😄

Incredible. Fantastic. Life affirming. Just a few of the words used to describe the establishment that is Ruby House. I cannot fathom what my life would have been the past 15 years had it not been for this gem of a takeaway. This joint has gotten me through some tough times (break ups, bereavements) but has also been the place I go to when I'm happy and fancy a cheeky post-gym takeaway. It is also appropriate for gathering the family together for a bonding session. I genuinely think their chicken curry should be prescribed to the public on the NHS, it is THAT good. And who could forget those chips??? No Ruby would be complete without a bag of their finest deep fried spuds with a side order of curry sauce. A curry without chips is like a Christmas day dinner without pigs in blankets...it just doesn't bear thinking about.If you have yet to lose your Ruby House virginity I can say only this...do it now! If you've ever had a feeling that your life was lacking something then this is it. Ruby House will fill that void. It will bring meaning. It will bring joy. I will bring the best peking spare ribs you'll ever encounter.A national treasure if ever there was one.

Wow just got a king prawn satay tonight, 21 prawn in meal, enough for 2 easily. £6.40 well worth it. Most king prawn ive eve rhad from a take away. Well recommended. Yum.

Lovely food, always freshly made, and much better now than previous experience last year. Curry is good, likewise chow mein and sweet and sour. Plentiful portions. Only complaint, it is a bit pricy in comparison to other local takeaways.

The Ruby House has been selling fantastic Chinese food for years, definitely worth it every penny. Recommend you try this takeaway as soon as possible.

King prawn satay from here is magic.by far the best I have ever had.i'm a chef and cant understand how they are making profit from the amount of prawns they give you in a portion.but having said that I ain't complaining.

We get takeout and delivery from this restaurant a few times a month and the food is amazing . The delivery is always within a reasonable time and the food is always hot and ready to eat no need to re heat . Great portions and value for money .

Very busy takeaway but lots regulars who all have loyalty and good things to say about The Ruby House Usual menu lots of choice and great price.Food very tasty and always hot even if ordering a home delivery. Great wee place

The quality of the meat didn't seem to be the best as it was chewy. Had chicken and beef from there and both was the same. The rice and the noodles were good though and the onion tasted fresh.

Good for Chinese takeaway we use this place often and it never lets us down food is consistent and prices reasonable always piping hot

We regularly use ruby house. I think it's great value for money. All the dishes are full of flavour. Try it you won't be disappointed

Took over an hour and half to deliver meal despite saying in two phone calls it was on its way. Chips were undercooked and the meal seemed to have lay so long it was cold and inedible. Despite phoning to complain that meal was unsatisafactory we were simply told 'what do you want us to do about it'? Food was simply not nice and coupled with poor customer service, I certainly would not recommend this establishment based on my experience. You can purchase food from much nicer establishments in area such as Taste of China and Bon Appetit.
