last time I ordered from here was awful . I got a bit of a refund , left it a few weeks and thought I'd try again . big mistake 2 meals cold , 1 meal cooked . I won't bother again .

Just tuck my delivery of my order and say I'm disappointed 1 they forgot a pizza and had to nip back for it .. 2nd the size of the donor kebabs were so small the salad consisted of 2 piece of cucumber half a slice of tomato and a bit of scabby lettuce that's the last time you will get my money windmill chippy Back to best kebab

Great food as always had chicken curry, vegetarian burger salad and garlic cheese pizza for us all. Hot food oh and two sausages for the dogs can't leave them out. Perfect the best

This place has really gone down hill recently in the last few years. On the first time I ordered a cheeseburger online a few months ago and was told me to be there 15 minutes later. Once I arrived 15 mins later all the staff was missing except from one guy putting up new tv’s for the menu’s. I then had to confirm my order again and wait AGAIN when it should have already been ready on the time I was told to arrive, especially when the place was as empty as it was. I got home to find that it was just two beef patties together without anything else in there, not even any cheese? So even with selecting everything online that I wanted and paid extra for I didn’t get! Today a few months later I ordered another cheeseburger with all the extras ect and thought they might have had their heads screwed on today but clearly not. Was just the same old crispy bone filled beef patties as last time! Unfortunately I do not have the time to be running around to complain at people. Really not impressed!

Excellent quality fish and chips. Staff are amazing very friendly. Always looks very clean and tidy. Off for mine again today.

Busy went back for more food had kebab ate it so fast I nearly choked on a full tomato slice never had a kebab so nice the chips was the best I ever had even my partner keeps telling me he's exited to go back again who fantasies over a takeaway? Nothing but lovley food we love this place even went back for seconds

I ordered chicken meat and chips. the chicken meat was inedible so got wasted, the chicken was like shoe leather, hard, and very tough.

It's a chippy. But, it's a good one.

"Under new management" fear not the new management is the old team/kitchen manager so very little has changed. The pizza is still the best in 20 miles, we travel from near Jct 29 of the M1, and it is always still fresh and hot by the time it gets home. Sometimes we pick pizza up then head to Sherwood forest or Clumber to enjoy, again always still hot. We frequently have meal deals when we visit, we like the child's pizza meal deal as you get a small pizza, chips and a can of pop, we also order standard pizzas and take them home to serve with salad.

70 minutes for delivery is a joke

Sadly the chips were horrible. the worst I have tasted in a long time and soggy... on the plus side the fish was nice. Would I have more from there? only if the chips improved. It was the first order for me from there.

Ordered Pizza with a few bits (chips onion rings, drink etc) to meet the min £15 spend. They delivered everything but the Pizza!! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Driver said another driver was on his way with said forgotten pizza. This arrived not long afterwards but both Pizza and chips were tepid by the time I came to eat them. I last ordered in October and left a review then because missing parts of my order seems to be a very regular occurrence! Not great! 😏

Where do I start, we had fish and chips with the famous garlic bread with cheese pizza again, absolutely divine! We have tried all the takeaways in warsop over the years and we just can’t stop coming back, we 100% recommend! delivery was fast as always 🔥

Food what we got was nice but we didn't get everything what we ordered. I ordered kebab meat an chips asked for salad an garlic mayo but didn't get it. We also ordered windmill special didn't get salad or pitta bread so spoilt are tea

Worse fish an chips,I ever had. And very expensive. It should be checked for its food ratings . I would give it nil. No wonder it was empty at 6pm. That tells a story.

Excellent value and absolutely fresh and tasty food.

Was given between 6.50pm and 7.10pm and my order still hadn't came for 7.30pm so I tryed to ring and was like phone was off keeped going straight to answer phone so after 17 times I got intouch on just eat and was told 25 mins later that my food was on the way then they updated the time of arrival for 8pm but did not notify me befour hand

Rang takeaway 30 minutes after time to be told food was ready just waiting for a driver. It was another 20 minutes before food arrived. It was just warm.

Over an hour late and food was cold

Second consecutive order where we’ve had to ring to ask where our order was having waiting beyond the time given for the order to be delivered. Tonight we were told the order ticket hadn’t been printed so the order hadn’t been done. Clearly an issue here with ordering online and ensuring that they are delivered on time, if at all if we hadn’t phoned 🤷🏻‍♀️

The food came early by 20 minutes with the delivery driver saying he was driving up and down trying to find us, meaning the order would have been even earlier. The food came cold, leaving us to warm it in the microwave, something you shouldn't need to do when paying close to £30. Ordered large curry got small. Overall very disappointed

Unfortunately I didn’t get my drink delivered. There has been issues with this in the past on a couple of occasions. Disappointing.

Ordered a chicken pizza and and came with loads of onion and Peper. No where on the item description does it say anything other than chicken

Terrible, dry tasteless chips, gravy like water no taste, battered scallop soggy, girl serving no smile or interaction, won't be going back

3 visits in 2 weeks same meal 3 different prices. Same young girl served me on the last 2 occasions 3 days apart. Get it right FFS.

Food is nice here it is our local chip shop. However the prices have increased so dramatically, there are much more affordable places in the area. We can not afford to go here as much as we used too. The portions are no longer as good for sizing and some of our usual go to meals have increased by around £6 each and now everything is paying extra for things you used to get included.

I don't normally complain about my food but I Ordered chicken meat with chips and salad they gave me chicken tikka with chips and salad not what I asked for my salad was also not very nice as it had all gone very soggy due to heat my little girls battered sausage wasn't a battered one it's was more like a plain one chicken burgers was ok most of what we ordered went in the bin maybe put the salad separate and not on or with hot food and make sure your sausages are properly battered i tryed phoning the shop but it kept coming up as engaged so after the 4th time I just gave up

Had food delivered, opened everything up and noticed was missing a chips and chicken nuggets (more like chicken chunks not nuggets) as I ordered 2 for my children , so I have rang them up to be told it was in the bag she had put the items in the bag, she knew it was in there , well I can assure the item wasn't in the bag. So she said right will get another sent out now, which has been over 50 minutes so far and its still not arrived. I'm not happy with how the lady on phone spoke to me , like I was lying when I just want my daughters order that was missing. Her sisters have eaten and she is still waiting!

I don't know what's happened to this fish bar, I used to love the food from here, but my last four orders have been terrible, items missing when paid for, and the quality of the food, well what can you say really, we all have bad days but it seems like it's the Normal now, BRING BACK THE OLD WINDMILL QUALITY FOOD, we know everything has gone up in price but, paying high prices for poor quality food it's not on, sorry but you've lost my custom, and I'm sure many others if this carries on eg : 2 pots of peas 2 pots of gravy = £8 £8 for gravy and peas... you get a full carvery for that for one I seriously think you need to do a price shuffle .. inflation is 10% ... its not 100% Come on Really ! ... there's fair prices and there's being ripped off. Tonight We ordered 2 large cod .. 1 salad box 1 peas .. Recieved 2 mini fish Salad box (mainly lettuce & onion) 1 pot of peas (half full) £23.45 with delivery £4 delivery ? .... £4 for less than a mile? What's happened to free delivery within a mile ??.... a very unhappy customer Reply to owner ; Not once did I mention the quality of your staff ! ... on the contrary I graded your staff 5☆ on my original review I know everyone needs a return as a business and you've always been a QUALITY CHIP SHOP until now and it seems your more into the £'s than the quality and your greed is showing .... you have said in your reply ... you will look at portion size .. and price so you've already in a indirect way said your in the wrong .. and I agree But nice deflection Its Your quality of food that was in question ...... Just paid £25 for 2 large cod a salad box and peas the size of the fish is ridiculous. Absolutely tiny. This place has gone to the dogs. Would give a nought but not possible. Rip off 😪 fish tasted horrible and was very soggy

absolute legends, our wedding anniversary food van decided to go home, no food on site, called the windmill put what they said may have been their biggest ever order in, ordered 27 pizzas they all got delivered lovely and hot within 2 runs in an hr, amazing food and great service, thank you guys so much saved the day much love matt & kim x

How hard is it to get an order wrong 😕 asked for a sausage cob and my fiance asked for a jacket potato with tikka instead she received a food she was allergic to which was mayo we sorted it out we got the correct stuff in the end the service was horrible they tried telling each other that we lied about it when we had photos of proof but it is what it is never going there again

Best chip shop for miles and has been for at least 55 years. Great portions. Delicious food. Super clean inside. Staff are mad friendly 😀

Food is best quality as always. However we order a food box that comes with a salad but they refuse to put the salad in a separate box unless we pay an additional £3.50. We don't like hot, floppy, soggy salad so should be able to have it separate without a charge. Then on the other hand the owner has a offer sign for Tuesday and Wednesday but he only wants cash (how convenient, charge for a salad that customers have already paid for and also doesn't want to pay tax on any offers) What a shame! Best food for miles, but the jumped up owner spoils it (I bet he wouldn't eat a piping hot, floppy, soggy salad from the top of his food box) He should listen to his paying customers and want families to have the best food experience he can provide.

Food is always great, The staff are always pleased to see you. The place is usually busy but you get served quickly.

Food is always top quality problem is staff are useless yet again order wrong for delivery impossible to call and get problem resolved as phone line is always engaged. Staff need to read orders and get them right as they make constant mistakes so will start to look elsewhere if continues to happen.

We loved this place and we often visit and share a three meat special. We always ask for salad seperate because the hubby hates it. Sooo the last two visits have been disastrous. The first one we gave benefit of doubt but this time just as poor. Prices have gone up which is fair enough and what would be expected however quality has gone down. The chicken was dry and over cooked and to top it off we were told we now have to pay more for salad on the side which we did reluctantly, however when delivered the salad i paid extra for was not there. So we called back and was asked do you want us to drop some round? What a daft question.... well if i didnt pay extra id have thought never mind but no i paid extra so i want it or my money back. By the time it was delivered our food was cold. Not good. Quality has really taken a dip and in my view warranted this review.
