Wimpy in Greenwich

Not good enough - customer service was weak too.

Very average food and especially the chips, I heard it's better than McDonald's but not really. Service was nice enough though.

Quaterpounder & Miklshake. £10,- Milkshake was yummy but the burger quite basic for that price tag. Odd concept, like time traveling back to the 80s.

It’s a uniquely British establishment. The food have a classic taste, and everything was grilled per order. Feels kinda nostalgic

Lovely friendly staff and good food. The Brown Derby with Biscoff was amazing!

Disgusting, better off with a burger from a funfair rather than paying £12 for a burger chips and drink here. Dirty looking chefs, over priced, fake food, dirty tables

Ordered a portion of sweet potato fries which were seriously overcooked. Whoever cooked them clearly doesn’t realise that they are not cooked as long as ordinary fries. They were hard and not edible. Asked if they had Saracha, was told to mix the mayonnaise with hot pepper!!!! Which were both cheap and not tasty. One of the staff took our plate and glasses without the manners to ask if we were finished. The only working toilet has no toilet paper and there was urine all over the seat and floor. I would rather use the toilet in Tesco and that indicates how grim it was. Then I was charged just under £12 for one portion of the sweet potato fries and two apple juices. Literally daylight robbery and the food and service were the worst, Avoid this place at all costs.

I've been to Wimpy since I was a child but I never once had breakfast there. It was my first time having a brekkie here and it was delicious!!!!!!

order not delivered in full and restaurant blamed delivery driver and refused to provide missing items or refund the money.

Wow! That was the worse burger we have ever had in long time. Beef patty had very strange taste and smell. Texture was also awful. They also use worse kind of bun. Owners not welcoming people, quite grumpy. We will never eat at whimpy again.

Gave simple instructions to my door, but driver went somewhere else, and then insisted that my house could be where he went, even though it is where it is….where i am…..exactly where I said it would be. He wasn’t having it, and left insisting he was right. Have i just been pranked?!! Madness.

Food cold and spoiled by going on a grand tour of the town. Can’t reheat eggs. Driver didn’t care.

Well first time at this Wimpy and basically I wish we had not bothered. The air con was kn far to much and had goosebumps and moved but was still as cold and wasn't hot hot outside. Then we get the menus and nothing was written down and waited at least 15 minutes and our drinks arrived after our food and that was not nice at all. Chips were overcooked and hard the Quarterpounder with cheese I had. Had far to much sauce in it and dripping everywhere. The other foods that was ordered wasn't much better and then after all this waiting to pay and whatever was doing the whole restaurant was filling of smoke and was far from ideal after any food or any place. You can see the smoke in the photo. Needless to say we won't be returning if we go back to that area again I can only find the smoky restaurant picture

Having survived half a century without visiting a Wimpy restaurant, I decided that fact needed to be rectified. The restaurant was clean. Staff were polite, friendly, and efficient. The food was delicious. I had the triple patty, chips, and mozzarella sticks. The burger was juicy and tasty. It was pricey, but you did get a lot of food for your money.

If you hadn’t sent chips that were ALREADY COLD for the little 4 minute delivery journey, when everything else was hot, you would have had a perfect rating. For £3.75 i should NEVER GET COLD CHIPS. Shame, because the rest was cooked and built to perfection.

Ordered a meal to be delivered. Driver sent me a notification of delivery then they cancelled it and said that I was to collect it. I informed wimpy who are not able to cancel my order from their end. Please refund £8 as soon as possible.Angela Brown 12 Fox Hollow close. Se181rx

tracking the driver saw him go the opposite way to my address, obviously to deliver to someone else 1st. time I got my food half of it was like warm and the other half was cold, not the 1st time this has happened either

My sister and a friend decided we would have brunch, the place we originally chose, we missed brunch. So I suggested the Wimpy, we enter and take a nice cushy booth The waiter came and here was impress me, he took our order with no pad, he remembered all three orders including the amendments we made to each order. My friend was has gluten tolerance and was able to have an English breakfast hold the bread, she said the bender was very nice. There was not much waiting time for the food, and it was presented wonderfully. It was just a nice place to eat, and have a nice chat... we were made to feel welcome.

I love it in here i have eaten in here for 30 years and always look forward to coming here great staff great well done

Servers were more than polite and friendly.. got my food fast but DAMN!!! That has got to be the worst, cheeseburger I've ever eaten.... it tasted like an asda own basic patty.... cooked in too much grease with no seasoning... the cheese wasn't left to melt and all of the lettuce fell out of the bottom alongside half the burgers mass in grease... shame but wow that was bad.

burger fell apart, bland, raw onions terrible tomato and salad. Fry cook kept wiping his sweat without washing his hands after. for how expensive it is i cant see why you just wouldnt go to mcdonalds as paying over 10 pounds for a poor burger and fries isnt right, Cook also forgot the fries for customer before me. Atmosphere was weird and felt strange mostly empty store with the employee cleaning just staring at me. Lady at the till seemed fine.

Bean burger said it came with cheese, so didn't order extra at 85p. No cheese on burger :(

Kept changing the delivery time. Chips dry and a mix of old and new. That NEVER WORKS guys!!! Which means, annoyingly, a big waste of £3.40. Burger good. Spoilt overall by the chips. Being a regular doesn’t guarantee you consistency in the quality of your meal. Shame, because regulars are your bread and butter.

The best place to eat in Woolwich, the staff are the sweetest people, very friendly but not overly. We have been here multiple times and come back around once a week the staff remember our order. The atmosphere is just lovely and I’d recommend it to anyone (they have a big menu variety and prices are very good for what you get especially compare to other wimpy locations)

Took my daughter and her friends (and their parents) here to celebrate her birthday. It was very clean, and the food was excellent. Very good service by the team who are very friendly and helpful. Some of the party had very particular requirements for their food, and the staff were very flexible about adapting the meals without a fuss. Wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

10 out of 10. Everything hot and cooked with care. The new Steakhouse chips were perfectly cooked seasoned. I don’t buy takeaway from anywhere else, now, because it’s always an expensive waste of money and a huge disappointment. I get what I pay for, every time at Wimpy. Keep it up guys. Paid extra for bacon in burger, but no bacon in burger. Paid extra for chocolate milkshake, but received caramel one, which isn't even an option on the menu. I'm baffled. Majority of take aways in Woolwich are so sub standard it's a joke.

Sent me a single quarter pounder when I paid loads extra for DOUBLE quarter pounder. I order the same thing every time, so how do you get it so wrong? And 85p for a slice of cheese that you also FORGOT. Partial refund not enough to cover the sauce! Bl00dy insult.

Good, but the over £10 burger was swimming in sauce. It was a real mess and the saturated bun fell to bits. Not of the usual standard.

Chips where not cooked fully and went cold very quick, some still felt slightly frozen. Strips were fine but one was very dry as smaller

I recommend the chicken. It tastes like KFC. It was the only thing I liked... As for the observations, I can say that they put too many chips and they placed them a little messy inside the bag, so when I opened the delivery they were all out of the bag that I had to put them in in different dishes... The burger is not what I expected, the taste is not as delicious as I thought. I really give you 3 stars, I recommend you improve the presentation inside the bag and be a little more organized... As for the delivery, the person who dispatched was fast and friendly... Good luck and thank you very much!!!

Poor disappointing customer service at Woolwich. We were in the restaurant for 10 minutes, figuring out what to order. Within that time, staff came up four times asking if we were ready to order we said not yet. Then SHARON, a server \ Chef, walked past and loudly said In front of other customers, " you can't sit here. You have to order food"—the terrible assumption. We weren't ready to order food, and to be spoken to in such a manner was embarrassing. Sharon is clearly having a bad day and taking it out on the customer. As a result, we decided to leave. Very disappointed with the rude staff. We will never visit again.

Came to eat here on a whim and was really happy with my choice. Really enjoyed the food, clean restaurant, good service. Really would recommend it.

Packaging was great, presentation was good, taste was barely ok. The beef patty I ate had a piece of bone in it and hurt my teeth. Fries had to salt.

Really satisfying. I can never fault Wimpy Woolwich. The food is always cooked well, it’s always hot, and tastes better than anyone else’s. Beef burgers actually taste of beef, and the chicken fillet burger is way and above anything from any rivals. Chips are also very good. They are the best, and that is why I will return.

Really good, hot and tasty. Double quarter pounder is just great, with beef that actually tastes like beef. The chicken fillet burger is superior to most, and larger than most. The chips portion was huge. Wimpy is an expensive choice, for me, but a good one.

Both sauces had exploded in the bag, chips covered in dip and inedible as a result. It also seeped into burger which is also inedible now :( delivery driver didn't read notes asking for food to be left at door as I am unwell and I would collect, had him banging on my door until I finally collected from him. Not a good experience at all

Haven't had Wimpy for years and I must say that with this Triple Quarterpounder Bacon & Cheese Burger Meal, I have certainly been missing out. Don't be put off by the cost because the burger is massive. It filled me up so much that I ended up binning the fries.

I ordered two hash brown bacon muffins and they came without the hash browns in both !!!!!

I don't normally leave reviews for chains but this particular branch deserved it. I do always like the food from wimpy anyway, but the service and atmosphere in this woolwich shop made it exceptional. It has that welcoming feel like when you walk in your local cafe or kebab shop, where you walk in and the guys behind the counter know you by name, everyone working there feels like a big family, they all say hi and ask how you're doing, that sort of feel. It was my first time ordering in store rather than online and it just felt so personable i left with such a smile! Not just for me, but the orders that came in as i waited for food. Its a bit pricier than a BK or Maccies, but for the interactions I had and saw in this store in particular I'd choose it over the others when I'm after a decent fast food burger and fries any day. On top of that, a great range of various different vegetarian / vegan options. The sides are more interesting than your usual fast food (cheesey onion rings are what I'd recommend trying) Worth the extra price for me if you want to treat yourself to some decent fast food with excellent service

💖🍔 I ordered a Wednesday deal with a cheeseburger, tasty patty, decent chips, surprisingly good own branded ketchup, but the drink is quite tasteless. Friendly and helpful staff, tidy place, left 4 stars BC the system doesn't have a half star. Would give a 5 star if the soft drink gets better.
