I had a wonderful experience at this charming independent shop. The ambiance is peaceful and inviting. I would rate the coffee a perfect 10/10—it’s truly exceptional! The food and sweets are delightful, and there’s a great selection of snacks. I enjoyed the chicken panini, which was quite tasty. The coffee is particularly impressive, with the perfect temperature and frothing. I highly recommend this place!

It is a very bright atmosphere cafe, freshly baked pastries and sandwiches , pizzas. Coffee is also great quality. Seatings are very comfortable 😌 I wish the service was more inviting from the older fellow working there , smile more !!!! It brought my mood down when I approached with a smile to him and just got a downward facial expression , and just an awkward silence after saying hi to each other . Apart from that all the staff is very friendly girls ☺️

Female staff can be rude there sometimes, zero knowledge of when it's a customer right.

Good location. Is always a little grubby. Staff need to get on the shop floor and clean up more regularly. Counter serves wine but staff seem weirdly reluctant to serve it. Odd.

I AM SEVERELY DISABLED AND THE 3 STAFF WERE JUST GOSSIPY AND LEFT ME TO FEND FOR MYSELF BY POINT BLANK REFUSING TO BRING MY ORDER TO MY TABLE. AND THEY HAD A GOOD LAUGH AT ME

I hate to be a Karen about an independent business but what happened to this place? It used to be one of the best places around Woolwich to grab a coffee and work on the laptop for an hour or two. Now on the two occasions I've been since Covid it's been a poor experience. First time my friend's cake was completely stale and the second time I get served a coffee with off curdling milk. There's also no WiFi to use anymore with no explanation except 'oh it doesn't work very well'. It's a not again from me.

Toilet area needs urgent updating.

This place used to be my favourite place for coffee and breakfast. But recently few times I including my family faced very rude customer service from a young lady who seems to be Asian. I can understand she is new but her behaviour while handling the customer is not very decent. When I ordered my coffee she forgot to give me my change and directly went to talk to her colleagues. When I asked about my change she ignored me and when my drink was served. I asked her once again about my change without being sorry or anything. She deliberately placed the change on the table. As if, she is giving it from her pocket. The olders staff are very friendly and nice. Personally not really happy with that lady’s behaviour.

Today we face a really bad service from one of the new staff, young boy, making hot chocolate and the cream was over flowing at the mug but he will not consider to change or apologise for this. Also he made a rude comment about us seating by the kitchen door even though we left enough space for staff to walk in and out the kitchen. Never this it was an issue before. We are regular costumers over 7 years now and we are totally shocked about this.

I visited this place multiple times and I’ve always enjoyed a nice caramelato. But yesterday I came with 2 friends, and ordered coffee, we were there for a good 40 mins enjoying the sunshine in the outdoor space. So I had a sudden urge to use the loo and went in. The little Chinese looking fella I don’t know if he’s the manager, but he said it was being cleaned, and that I had to wait (30 mins) I was like are you being serious? I’m a customer and I’m sat outside, he said it was the rules. There was an early incident with some drunk man causing problems and the manager must’ve been in a foul mood, that wasn’t my problem though, I could’ve been pregnant or had a weak bladder. How a customer is asked to wait 30 minutes to use to use the loo in a place I’m a paying customer for is beyond disgusting. There is also just the one toilet. I ended up going to use the local pub and came back and left with my 2 friends and none of us will be returning.

Cute cosy cafe with open views to square....very friendly staff..... there is a split level so there is a few stairs to the other level so not very buggy or wheel chair friendly if u don't find spaces but there....lovely small outside seating too

They have got a very nice environment. We enjoyed sitting and drinking there. We will go back there again. 😊

Not the best. Coffee is average at best, not much flavour, thin almost if that makes sense. Noisy atmosphere, and a bit dirty, some sort of screeching noise coming from the pizza area or something. There are better places to go for coffee.

Note for staff, can you make an option for 'No Milk' or so that the option is not required. But apart from that it's all good

We had to get out of the DLR and decided to go for a coffee. To our surprise they also made pizza and I really have to commend the cafe, as it was outstanding given that it was a cafe.

I've only recently visited this cafe out of curiosity Honestly, it's really nice. Nice location. The coffee is surprisingly really flavourful. Nice prices and options. Definitely will be returning Haven't tried any food. I had a caramel latte and it was beautifully presented

Terrible coffee. Charge 60p for oat milk and they use the cheap stuff. Argumentative staff. I tend to avoid the big chains but if this is the alternative in woolwich then I may have to use them 🤮

Really lovely little cafe we found by accident looking for somewhere to eat breakfast! The service was easy and friendly, fresh tasty pastry and tea! Would definitely recommend eating here.

After a visit looking for a quiet place to have a drink where noise of packed out pubs where you can't hear your self think this place is it nice and civilised so now the secret out yep it's in a hotel but open any one not staying so if you don't want to feel as if you're a sardine in a tin this is the place to go... Will go again yes....

It's a great place but can get busy

I like this place because all members of staff are super friendly and it never takes too long to get coffee. But it got a bit too expensive for what they offer. Coffee sometimes has strange taste, milk is often a bit off, and i don’t think they steam milk right way. Pastries are often very dry and old. I only go there because its on my way to train station and often I don’t have time to return to let them know that there is something wrong with coffee or milk they use? I never see them to rinse a milk jug and they just reuse milk at the bottom and reheat it for next coffee. Interior looks quite depressing and furniture is badly old and unkept. Place looks clean Also they never offer you a stamp card, unless you ask for it, even when they know you and you go there almost every day

They do a fabulous lunch meal deal for £5.99. Pizza, crisps and a drink. Staff are friendly and meal was top notch. I highly recommend it.

One of the best place to stop by and grab a sandwich & coffee for breakfast! Several coffee shops around but this one has a different charm. It's spacious and cosy with a comfortable sitting arrangement. My favourite - ceasar salad sandwich and Berry Berry drink!

Some staff could do with hospitality, particularly Lidia. She's very unfriendly, seems incapable of smiling or using manners such as please or thank you. It feels as if she really resents her job & the clients she serves. Clearly not cut out for hospitality. Not a nice experience, even for a regular client. The rest of the staff are very pleasant & charming

The staff in this coffee shop act like I've barged into their house and assaulted their Nan. They act like they have literally no idea what a coffee shop is. You stand there for a while, it gets ridiculous, the silence is looming, you have to break it by asking "Hello.....? Hello? Can I order?" There are 4 people behind the counter half heartedly holding a cloth, standing or swaying very slowly One lifts their head slowly as possible like an actual sloth and vaguely acknowledges you You ask for an iced coffee They say nothing It is like pulling teeth Somehow you get it, pay and get out, it takes ages, and somehow no one makes eye contact or speaks to you the entire time. It is an ordeal.

I had a sad experience at Coffee Lounge today. I used to be a regular there and I liked customers service they have provided. Looks like old staff have gone or management doesn’t care about it anymore. Today’s staff were not interested to be professional at all or nobody told them how to work in hospitality. Those people were focus on chatting and entertaining each other then to serve customers. Very disappointed.

I go to this place every morning, they all say hi and good morning. Coffee is good and it’s great not to feel ripped off. Don’t know why anyone would go to Costa when you have a reasonably priced, great coffee across the road. It can get really busy in the day time but it’s a big building so always find a seat. For me this place is number 1

Very rude staff, will definitely not return. I work in the area, and I like to support local coffee shops rather than going to huge franchises. However, after my visit, I wish I had went to the Costa around the corner! Tried a mocha from here, it was more like a latte. No taste of chocolate whatsoever. That’s no problem, I informed the lady at the till that I wasn’t happy with my drink as I had ordered a mocha and this clearly wasn’t it. She became angry and defensive and instead of offering a solution, she decided she to berate me and spoke in a very unpleasant and rude manner. She wouldn’t accept my complaint, and ridiculously told me to mix my drink! I drink mochas every day, and I never have to mix it to taste chocolate 😂😂😂🙄🙄🙄 completely patronising! Avoid like the plague.

This place caught my eye as I was visiting a friend in Woolwich for breakfast. It has a lot of potential but the staff completely let the place down. I had to take their names because they were that awful. Bianca was the grumpiest server ever and then went on to get my crossaint so Lidia came over to take the money whom was even more grumpy, she also short changed me by a pound. I then went to sit down opposite the serving area and then heard them arguing with a customer, he was telling them he has drank the same drink for 30 years with soy milk and this is not soy, they continued to argue telling him it is. In the end he left upset and they giggled and gossiped about him in front of everyone else in there. I don’t recommend this place purely based on the staff.

Myself and my partner have been very loyal customers since the shop first opened. The atmosphere used to be so nice and relaxed with very helpful and friendly staff. In the past year I actually leave the shop feeling deeply unsatisfied. The servers are so rude. They need training in customer service. They don't have any etiquette at all and very often don't even look at you during the whole transaction when ordering. Very unwelcoming. I have observed that the behaviour is only bad when the manager is not present. I am at the point where I avoid going in unless he is there.

Totally with the other thumbs up customer... incredible little hide out....love it comfortable the manager is the most efficient manager I have come across that is not a branded store/coffee house...he tries to keep it as clean and tidy as poss he is super quick..and the rest of his team are very friendly and obliging....love my coffee there when in SE Woolwich side...xx

Good coffee at reasonable prices served by nice people.

I am working Barista longer than 3 years, and I know how it should be coffee! I asked to give me long espresso with hot water and they give me simple small espresso and told me it is long. Nice and large place where you will find always a table but personal not always are nice, they don’t want to listen you what you are explaining, they will give you what they want, and often the tables are dirty, I suppose to clean by myself with napkins not only once. And barista doesn’t know how to do coffee properly.

The service was good but however the coffee needs improvement. I bought an iced coffee with soya milk, it was sour and gave an immense bitter after taste. I drank two sips and had to throw it away because I could not physically drink it. Maybe not rush brewing the beans and making sure it’s grinder properly. Lovely staff though.

Would not recommend this place. The coffee tasted bland, I ordered ice coffee but the coffee was Luke warm with barely any ice.

The staff is friendly and the place is indeed quite comfy, with seating areas inside and out. The only reason why I rated 4 stars is because of their toilet. On different occasions I have seen there wasn't any toilet paper and I have had to ask for some. Except for that, I would consider this place a good corner where I enjoy coffee and snacks with my friends.
