Wimpy in East Ayrshire

Really enjoyed our time here, the service was prompt and the food was delicious. Far better value than any other fast food restraunt, really fresh meat in the burgers and mad respect to the staff 10/10 any day

No cheese in the 2 Muffins I ordered.

I ordered via Just Eat. They got my order wrong - forgot the pepsi of the cheeseburger meal. At first they advised they couldn't help because this was from Just Eat. However, they managed to get a manager to send the pepsi out to us and even apologised by giving us complimentary ice cream. I left a review expressing how disappointed I was before they rectified the mistake on JustEat. I have tried my best to get this removed, but unfortunately JustEat are useless. So I have decided to leave a new review on Google based on how I am now feeling about my experience after they rectified the initial mistake. I am now satisfied. The food was decent and to apologise with complimentary ice cream is also really nice. Apologies I can't do anything about the 2* review I initially put up on JustEat after being told there was nothing else they could do.

No drink with the cheeseburger meal we purchssed. Called and was told nothing they could do. Unacceptable.

Food is meh It used to be worth going for the special sauce but they no longer sell it would not recommend unless they started selling the special sauce again

We where reminiscing about our childhood in wimpy it wasn’t a complete disaster like that place staff totally ignoring the people waiting to be served the guy in front of me said I’ve been waiting ten minutes tables absolutely full of rubbish not cleared away not a comment from staff to say we won’t be long nothing not a word we didn’t get any food obviously what a bloody disaster they had a party they where cooking for a woman came in her face was like thunder obviously she was disgruntled too they got her order wrong don’t ignore customers waiting this establishment doesn’t deserve to survive with a terrible service like that we walked out in disgust

ordered a burger. was advertised with lettuce, tomatoes, onion and wimpy ketchup, but there was only a burger inside a bun and nothing else. I feel a refund would be in order.

We waited over an hour to get two burgers: A vegetarian burger and a cheeseburger with no onions. When the food eventually came we instead got given a chicken burger (for a vegetarian!) and a burger with absolutely nothing on it besides the patty. We had waited so long and were so hungry that instead of waiting what could've been another hour for the right food we just left. If you walk in and there are other people there simply don't bother. The place is completely understaffed and the nostalgia isn't worth it

It came without the cheese I paid for and came without lemonade and the sauce which I have paid for disappointed

Order totally wrong We got a triple burger 12 onions rings And no 7up instead if what we ordered It had the receipt for our actual order in the bag

The burger was disgusting the milkshake was like water the only part if the meal I liked was the onion rings WILL NEVER ORDER FROM. HERE AGAIN

Stopped here for a quick lunch with some friends for a quick bite to eat, my god, what an amazing meal ranch, service and value. I was transported to my childhood of Wimpys and it didn't disappoint. I genuinely went for seconds, I shed a tear to a lost childhood flavour. Wimpy truly has stood the test of time and still holds its own against McDs and BK.

I ordered a Spicy Beanburger, with chips and jalapinos. I received a beefburger with chips and jalapinos. I was disappointed, as i had been looking forward to said Beanburger, however, the food was nice and delivered on time. I didn t realise the order was wrong, until i had opened everything, so did not complain.

Having taken my mother and aunt after a long wait they absolutely loved it and were very happy to reminisce over old times. It was lunchtime on a Tuesday and very quiet but that suited us. We waited and we were also happy to wait as the food was prepared and cooked freshly by Jason. He done a great job and thank you for making it very nice for the three of us. We need more full wimpy restaurants all over the country.

In a bowling alley so noisy. A single parking space outside which was cheap. More extensive parking nearby. Pretty expensive, but again it's in a bowling alley so that's to be expected. Pure nostalgia. I used to go to Wimpy with my Granny when I was sub-10 years old in Glasgow. Only went because of this. Burger tasted ok, just grilled beef with minimal seasoning, but the patty was small. If I were to get it again I would get a double patty. Made to order, so was fresh and hot. My boyfriend's order was incorrect, just scraped the cheese off though instead of returning it. Milkshakes tasted like ice cream blended with milk and flavored syrup with both sugar and sweeteners. The staff were pure nice, I bet they get a lot of people going for nostalgia. Table service seemed to be standard, but they no longer serve food on plates like they did when I was a kid 🤣

Asked for no onions due to allergy, burger was delivered with onions

food was OK, cheeseburger came with no cheese on it and wasn't particularly good, especially for the price. chicken stack burger and spicy fries were amazing and milkshake was alright. not terrible but not worth the money either.

Chips are frozen not good quality for the price burger is extremely greasy. Wouldn't recommend £27 for triple cheese burger that's not even good quality.

It's a Wimpy taste bud heaven, even bought some bottles of special sauce to take home

I am so disappointed in my order from Wimpy today. We ordered 2 bacon and cheese burgers as meals and requested no sauce on either and no salad on one. Both came with sauce and salad, no bacon or cheese and no chips. The third burger also did not come with chips. We ordered two Pepsi max and got normal Pepsi (one of my friends is diabetic). Further to this we ordered 6 onion rings, got 4, 4 mozzarella melts, got 3 and 5 chicken strips and got 4. The food arrived cold. Really upset about this as it was not a cheap meal at all and what we got was ridiculous. Phoned the restaurant and they said it would be investigated and to request a refund through Just Eat.

Two tables in waiting for food and waited 55 minutes for any hint of food. Fast food it is not!

Didn't receive part of my order, cheese burger and fries.

Very greasy, burger and bun was solid. Far too over priced for what you get. Will not be ordering again

I ordered beans and got given peas instead and didn’t get an egg on the muffin although it clearly says on the menu that you get an egg on it.

Amazing food, and the staff member Jess (I think her name was) done a great job. Served us and cooked the food too and was lovely throughout. Beyond happy with this experience!

Not how I remember the cheeseburger, not enough sauce.

I ve waited years for a Spicy Beanburger. I didn t know they were back! It didn t disappoint! Can t wait for the next one. The roll was lovely too, as were the Wimpy chips. Good portion Everything fresh and hot on arrival. Delivery driver pleasant and efficient. I was able to follow the progress of delivery. Very pleased.

Can't believe there is a Wimpy just a wee drive from us! Not had one in years and it didn't disappoint! Tasted just as good as ever....cooked to order so very fresh...lovely staff too! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Disappointing considering the price. Luke warm, no straws or condiments in the bag. Wont be back.

Visited today for some lunch before go-karting. It’s a good job we were 90 minutes early for go-karting, as had a 45 minute wait for 3 burger meals. We were 2nd to be served and total of 4 tables were in, but the staff couldn’t cope. In that 45 minutes, not one person had any food on any of the tables. The manager from the main complex had to come over and speed them up as she was getting complaints too. Burgers were on the shelf so long, were luke warm by the time we actually had them. Such a shame. We went on Monday and it was so much better.

Eat from here once in a while, as its prices are similar to restaurant prices ££££. And Usually its ok for fast food. But definitely going downhill which is sad because its the last wimpy around here, so if they upped their wages like they do the food prices, maybe staff would make more of an effort & help keep the one & only franchise place open for nostalgia. Instead you get stale buns, strange coloured & tasting kids milkshakes, items missing & everything thrown in a bag with no care. Its unfortunate

Having been served a cold burger here three days ago after a 20 minute wait (fast food eh?) I went in today at 17.50, waited and waited, no sign of staff and just one customer eating so eventually I left and someone else is getting my hard earned and wimpy aren't. Maybe this is why there's not so many about.

Food frozen ice cream melted at cost neary £19 phoned wimpy kirsten gibson no help saying it's you're fault just eat driver did spend 5 min talking 2 another driver wee are living at travel lodge due 2 losing our whole house in a fire I expect a full refund or wee are going to local paper and trading standards !

Shocking! If walking from main retail area Currys way, there is no sign saying entra, once in it's all self service, I was standing like a fool only to be told you need to use the machine to order. So a training course is needed to even purchase anything. I ended up walking out, could also see the girl at.counter was rushed off her feet by the look she gave me, this was 10am, (I'm being sarcastic) never again will I go near a wimpy.

Food was pretty tasty, but not ready until over 15min AFTER my collection time. Part of my order was ready on time, so I left with a falling-apart crushed wrap and stone cold chips. First time there - not sure I'd go back.

Although the order was late this was completely the fault of the 1st just eat assigned driver. The restaurant and the 2nd just eat driver was impeccable. They were extremely helpful after the issues with the complete incompetence of the 1st driver assigned.

Still tasted like what l remember but dropped a star for no plates and knives and forks.

Chips didn’t taste as good usually do. Milkshake was more like flavoured milk.

57 minutes in 2 burgers and a chicken wrap. Cold stale, tasteless, overpriced, staff ate chips whilst we waited, sat in their phones, no apology for late service, thrown down in table. If I didn’t have my kids I’d have thrown it back

Bacon overcooked, chicken overcooked but service was decent, a lot of unprofessional conversations infront of customers though

very sad to say but it was rank rotten. food was stale and cold and waited around an hour to eat. it’s left a bad taste in my mouth and feel pretty unwell right now. i can’t find one positive. service was dire but don’t blame the workers it was literally schoolkids running the show. they didn’t even know how to turn on the grill or change the juice postmix. perhaps it’s time for this half dead chain to finally take its last wimper…

Absolutely brilliant food, bit more expensive than your McDonald's, burger king, KFC etc, but your getting a proper burgers, excellent chips, and old school ice cream with the little plastic spoons, which are all tasty (except the spoons) would highly recommend if you want a quality decent burger, better than meat in the middle place too, (no battered burgers wrapped in tinfoil for roughly the same price, all round happy tummies tonight, thank you Wimpy

Milkshakes where burst all over the bad Waste of £12

Vegan Burger was edible at best, ice cream had clearly been refrozen and tasted horrid, didn’t get the side ordered. Shame, I was really looking forward trying a new vegan burger!

Food was absolutely delicious. Slight criticsm is the size of their wraps, but apart from that they were absolutely gorgeous nontheless. Burgers were lovely as well.

Well overpriced for what you get. Food wasn't anything to write home about. Wouldn't recommend

Not happy, discovered 25 minutes after it being delivered the food was lying cold on the step, was no chap at front door.

The burger tasted funny, the wrap was tiny, and chips soggy. I haven’t ordered from wimpy in years, and after this order I remember why.

Wimpy is easily better value than the rest i will allways be a Wimpy man.

This food is awful. Ridiculously over priced for what you get. Was expecting something high quality for the price. So very wrong. The chicken burger was rubber / hard, and completely inedible. The fries were nice to be honest. The 'Ice Cream' is not as shown in the menu. A freeze dried, bulk buy plastic tub which I would guess costs about 25p - sold for 3 quid!

The ice creams were wrong, the burgers were slimy as they were undercooked, the fizzy drink was warm and flat and the beans were not just cold, they weren't cooked at all. They still had that straight out the tin light crunch to them. For nearly £40 for a meal and some ice creams that's ridiculous 😡

Great service at this Wimpy. "Express" menu at this branch. It's inside The Garage, Kilmarnock bowling alley. Great food, lovely friendly counter staff, very pleased! Food came quickly, and was hot & fresh. Not many Wimpy's left these days. Would happily visit again.

Wimpy is just the best and its sad that it's so hard to get now. Keep these going and pay them a visit! Well worth it.. plus there's bowling and karting in the same venue. Perfect day out with the kids or to be grown up kids!

Never order from again! Ordered a burger and chips. Asked for no sauce or salad on the burger! Got both, you can even see on the recipe it says no sauce or salad! Food arrived early but was luke warm!

Happy with the service & food although I did request & paid for chips x 2 & only received one.

Missing extra chips, missing two drinks and the burger was really undercooked and the "creamy" milkshake was full of chunks of ice. The chips I did get and onions rings were delicious but did not make up for me spending that amount of money for undercooked food and missing items. I will not be ordering from here again.

Thought I'd try Wimpy for a change from McD's or BK.... The burger arrived at best, luke warm, probably due to the amount of salad n sauce on top plus the box springing open within the paper bag. Not great 1st time experience.

Waste of money. Ended up putting order in the bin. Literally just received it and what a joke. Burger was lukewarm, chips soggy (your better not getting the meal and order stuff separate). Didn't receive the full order and juice was also missing. Honestly spend your money else where this is the worst and probably most expensive order on Just Eat that I have received. Really frustrating.

First time in a wimpy for years. Used to be a favourite of mine when I was a kid in the 80's. Small restaurant but quick friendly service and one of only a few in Scotland. Good food and better than the other usual fast food options.

We fix nog receive all our food anf wsng to be refunded for this!!!

Wimpy in the garage kilmarnock is tasty.

Went to wimpy as got a bit fed up of KFC and McDonald's. And it was really good I had a good selection of food and a milkshake and it was really good and quick was very impressed will be back.

Normally just use this if the kids are bowling and promised them a burger and chips or a juice and icecream

The food is great although a little expensive but tasty all the same, service is fantastic. Small seating area but not too busy. Highly recommend.

Don't get taken in by the romance of a dying British fast food chain, there's a good reason for some things. Better burgers are crafted at sports clubs and in burger vans, with ingredients far fresher and atmosphere more amenable. This parasitic entity must latch on to bowling alleys and theme parks in a relationship that is in no way symbiotic. Avoid at all costs.

Been 3 times it all right for change it not one of the best wimpy not be back.

Food isn't that good but the slushees are AMAZING
