Booked a table for 6 people for a birthday on the booking app had txt yesterday to confirm booking for today Sunday 23rd family turned up only to be told no table available won't be using or going there for any meals please be aware of this

Honestly I prefer the harvester which was disappointing as I really hoped for more from the willow tree, i would have loved to make it a regular place to go with family and friends but felt let down by the quality of the food sorry but that’s my honest opinion, other family members felt the same tbh and only hope that it does better in the future, but I won’t be visiting again for a while.

Excellent food service, really quick time from order to table, served hot and tasted really good, had a coke, chicken tikka and extra fries for £13.50

Well, where to start. No steak, no gamon, no scampi. The delivery driver ran out of time the day before! Two of us had steak and ale pie. Two had chicken. Pies looked as though they had been in the warmer for about three days. Pastry was like rock! Chicken was dry and covered in sauce to hide it, where the cheese was, i don't know. Tables were left with all the plates, etc, on until I cleared them. No effort was put in by the staff. I'm really disappointed! £80 spent on a 70th birthday. We wont be back!

Amazing restaurant with amazing service. Food was worth the wait and the lad Kevin behind the bar was the nicest most polite gentleman ever. Amazing place and would recommend to anyone as it’s also incredibly affordable.

It was our first visit to The Willow Tree. The staff were welcoming & friendly when showing us to our table. I wanted the mixed grill but they didn’t have the steak so ordered a chicken dish. The starters arrived quickly enough but my wife’s vegan bbq cauliflower bites were overcooked. When her main course (a vegan curry) arrived it seemed a very small portion, maybe they should have served this on a smaller plate instead of a large oval one. She enjoyed her curry but I was disappointed with my chicken feast. I went to order an apple crumble but they had none left so we paid & went home.We had a 30% off main douse voucher, which we used but without this we thought it was poor value for money. We do have another voucher but we won’t be returning. Disappointing visit

Went out for a meal with friends good atmosphere and welcomed by the staff, varied selection on menu you can place your order either at the bar or your table, food arrived within an acceptable time looked appetising and fresh and tasted good, didn’t feel rushed will visit again. Located on a small retail park so could spend a couple of hours visiting the vicinity.

Standards haven't been great since original opening 17 or so years ago. I saw that there was a voucher and new menu out so I thought it would be worth a go. The staff were lovely and the place was clean but our food was sub par. Steak underdone, poor quality with zero flavour. Onion rings had no flavour. Burger was dry and not very flavourful. The choc and mint tart was too strongly flavoured with mint. Based on those things, it'll probably be a while until I go back.

Amazing atmosphere and the staff here always go above and beyond. The front of house kev who was on duty on our visit is always polite, helpful and always on hand if we need anything. We was served by molly at the bar who took various orders of ours and was always polite and chatty and made it easy to order what we wanted. Lovely little pub for food and drinks and the price is even better.

Awesome service, best local about

We were shown to our table promptly and menus left with us. We told our server that we wanted a couple of drinks before placing our food order. Alas after that we always had to look for our server to order another drink and it was also the same when we wanted to place our food order. When we have visited in the past the server always kept a lookout to see if you wanted more drinks or were ready to order. The restaurant was not busy so staff should have been more attentive.

Very welcoming atmosphere and staff, the food is delicious and great music.

Have been here a few times and it has gone down hill. Lunch portions are tiny, twice they have brought the incorrect food and staff are unsure how to help. I would have given it 1 star but it was really good the first time I went.

Always get great food with a great service at the Willow Tree. This visit we were a party of 16, all our food was served piping hot and altogether despite some of us order at the till and some via the app. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Last nights visit was perfect. Our waiter was excellent he was a young lad who could not do enough for us and git everything right.. and the food was good last night.. we have visited previously and tries different food .. the burgers were awful and pie made me ill.. but last night's grills were excellent.. I would like more variety on the menu . Often I really fancy the lunch menu but as we call in after work . Its not available. So based on last night top marks .. thank you

The service was very slow. Some of the meals on the lunch menu were smaller than kids meals, eg the hunters chicken fitted in the palm are of a ladies hand, and was very thin! My meal was ok, average for gush and frozen chips - fresh chips would be much nicer. My ‘hot’ chocolate fudge desert was served cold with the chocolate melted and reset Not a great experience so average

No place like home....We often end up here in the end...

Overall great visit, my husband is coeliac and was given the gluten free menu on arrival which had a lot of choice. There was a 45 min delay on food also told on arrival but it really wasn’t that long. It’s a good job we came in person as he wasn’t keen after looking online as that gluten free menu was completely different with hardly anything on it and what was made no sense. The only other thing, there are no prices on the gluten free menu which caused him to have a sharing starter for one which ended up being really expensive £15 for a starter for 1 🙈 but that was his fault really for not realising. But maybe prices on GF menu would’ve stopped this happening. Excellent customer service though, we will definitely be back.

We booked the willow tree for my father in laws 83rd birthday. There were 10 of us. We all had a main meal & drinks. Rhys and Annie served us with a smile. They were both very accommodating, went above and beyond along with Kevin who carried out my father in laws birthday cake with Rhys, sang happy birthday, made a fuss of him and really made his birthday!! Kevin offered us cutlery and a plate to share the cake we had bought which was kind. The food for everyone was gorgeous, especially the festive burgers. All plates were empty. We would highly recommend. Thank you so much for making our evening one to remember 💕

Greeting was prompt no waiting straight to our table we had pre booked. Service for drinks was fast with very polite smiley service. Food didn’t take long to come we had the children’s mains with the starters which I requested and that wasn’t a problem(makes my life easier) . After starters were finished there wasn’t a long wait for main course. Food was well presented tasty and hot, no complaints from our table of 8 a lovely experience of dining. Thank you and well done the team at the willow tree.

Not enough staff lacking personall touch

We hadn't booked and they straight away accommodated 2 of us. The service was very quick and staff were lovely. We had 2 beef dinners and food was hot and delicious. The value for what we had was very good. Will definitely go again.

Called in this afternoon for a quick lunch the pub was quite busy but I was sat promptly and the food came out spot on. I had the fish and chips and it was as big as a whale, cooked to perfection. The staff are always pleasant and they got the cleanest of toilets. Well done.

Lovely service and exquisite food

Walked in nd wasn't treated with a welcome. Asked to sit in a booth and got laughed at, followed by being told "im not sitting you I'm fully booked tonight" this is at 4.45 with a basically empty pub. Couldn't wait to shuttle us to a cramped table and get us away from bar and remins us we could onlt sit there 45 minutes. All in all terrible experience.
