First time ordering a takeaway from here, and it wasn’t a good experience at all. Firstly, we were quoted a delivery time of 45 minutes, but I actually turned into twice as long. 1 1/2 hours! I asked for a vegetarian Jalfrezi, and my partner wanted a chicken dhansak, but when I finally turned up, it was a vegetable Jalfrezi and a vegetable dhansak. Fair to say that she wasn’t impressed with things that’s far. we also ordered onion bhajis, and they were very dry and greasy, giving the impression they have been in the fryer, a couple of times or more I was attracted to this place by all the positive reviews, but after our experience we will be using it again.

Hidden gem with excellent prices.

I have never ever liked the waste of food.. yet alone that which cost me over £35. It wasn't edible...and was all thrown out. 2 x large prawn curries. It was impossible to say what the 'lumps' were that ought to have been Prawns...chicken...fish...other meat..not one ciuld chew them...yet alone taste what they should have been. These...lumps....had an indescribable mush plopped on top...that was it. Utterly indefensible. Extra mushrooms...they were a button mushroom that were identically cut paper thin....only achievable by machine slicing....a lump of these had the same curried mush plonked on top...and it was meant to.....cook them.....it did not. So....not fresh then, pre stored pre cut mushrooms. The Chips were RAW.....OBVIOUSLY A FROZEN CHIP DROPPED INTO OIL BUT ALLOWED TO BROWN TOO QUICKLY AND NOT COOKED THRU. NOTHING ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE MEANS I WILL EVER RETURN. £35 WASTED... TOTAL DISREGARD OF ALL PROCESSES THAT ARE THE SIGNS OF A GOOD COOK. Whats happened is an attempt to mask anything and everything with an overwhelming curry flavour AND ITS RESULTS WERE DESASTROUS. I sent a WARNING ⚠️ TEXT IT WASN'T EVEN LOOKED AT FOR NEARLY A MONTH. BE WARNED ....TRY TELEPHONING THEM AND YOUR LIKELY TO GET THE LOCAL RUGBY CLU FYI. I HAVE WONDERFUL ASIAN MATES AND ARMY ASIAN MATES AND SEND THIS REVIEW WITH A HEAVY HEART. BUT WHEN I PAY TOP WACK FOR SOMETHING .....ALL GLOVES ARE OFF. .. ...STEER CLEAR IS MY ADVICE....

This Indian is probably the best Indian around. So tasty and the food is piping hot when it arrives. Very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Love it

Love this takeaway but not sure what’s going on with their Madras obviously different ingredients because it will blow your head off, used to have this regularly but not no more, shame.

I placed an order and now they wont stop hounding me with texts and emails. Rang them to complain, they hung up on me.

These guys really know how to make a Korma. I would give a 5 star review, but the prices are a bit too steep.

Lovely food but Horrible service today my father ordered food of off the menu just to be over charged and rudely spoken too ( main thing was £4 for a large bag off chips to only to be given not even a small bag which we should have checked before leaving, as well as the man who served him trying to add 10p here , £1 more there, on to everything he ordered) we checked the prices of the menu which we told them we had been over charged just to be told "we have to add it on" even when the prices were cheaper on their menu. which yes things have gone up in price but update the menu or notify when people order not just add more money on when they feel like it. my dad was spoken to horribly with no apology and was told he wont be getting the change if you eat here I highly recommend checking their prices and make sure they don't over charge you.

delivery never turned up. I called when it was 90 mins late and they said it was on its way. 4 hours later... nothing!

Ordered once never again placed order at 17.50 took 2 hours to be delivered when it gets here 1 curry was missing and chips were like cardboard popudoms were damp onion Burges awful has well never again 😞 when the 2nd curry came and new chips they went in the bin because they were like the 1st lot

Had food from here a few times if i ever want an indian this is where i order from everytime without fail the food always taste amazing and the service is quick and friendly staff!

This is the best Indian about, my partner and i really enjoy the food as it is always hot on arrival and exploding with flavour😋top marks to the Chef👌🏽never had a bad meal from here always been bang on, Staff is always polite and very friendly. 10 Stars we would give if we could ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very good meal in tredegar balti.

The order was missing only half turned up the rice was cold and the curry had a hair in it. The other half of the food turned up 90 minutes later and even that was cold. I wouldn't bother ordering from here you will be very disappointed if I could give no stars I would.

I live 2 minutes away from the place. I ordered before 19.30 and had an E.T.A. of 20.35 for my order. I called at 20.50 to see where my order was. No apology, just told it would be another 15 minutes. I called again at 21.10 and by this point I was getting frustrated. His response was: "Do you want your food or not?" My food rurned up and about 21.15. After being charged £4.00 on top of my order for delivery and a further £0.50 'service charge' for ordering online I thought this was absolutely disgusting. Most of the food was ok but onion bhajis were barely warm and the samosas which had clearly been taken from the freezer, were stone cold in the middle. Because we live so close, I have always collected my orders until last night. But I will NEVER be buying food from this place again. Their attitude and customer service is shocking. VERY rude considering its a service they charge a considerable amout for.

Fair play, had a delicious meal from Tredegar Balti! Really tasty and great produce. Vegetarian options, really great and a shout out for the girl on the front desk and phone for her tip on the Vegetarian Roll for my wife! We'll be back for sure!

been ordering for a few years now,never had a bad meal,all my orders have never been wrong,always delivered piping hot,just had a delivery said it would be an hour delivered after 30 minutes Tredegar balti house rocks.....also shout out to the staff,that lady on the phone so pleasant,the lady delivery driver so pleasant and the chef whoever u r banging.

Tredegar Balti House is the best place for a stunning curry. It is the best I have ever tasted. The staff are pleasant and helpful. Very reasonable price and portions are big for the price. Real chicken is used and also the lamb is tender and outstanding. We have home delivery always on time and the lady who delivers is really nice. Definitely recommend this curry house. We will never go anywhere else.

Amazing food, tastes absolutely delicious. Staff are very friendly, especially the receptionist and the man and woman delivery drivers. Would highly recommend this indian, they are the best around.

I have lived in Ebbw Vale for the last 2 years and never had a quality Indian takeaway until now. I cant rate this enough. I ordered the Lamb Chana Gosht There was so much meat and it was tender and tasty. Very nicely spiced. The onion Bhaji were crisp and not an ounce of oil on them and the little packets of salad and the sauce were lovely. It was a very reasonable price and delivery was exactly when they said it would be. The lady who brought the food was very pleasant. I dont think I’ll be going anywhere else from now. Well done.

This is the only takeaway that actually uses real chicken, this is not in my home town, the food is so lovely I’m happy to travel as the takeaways in my town are not up to this standard and the service is excellent.

My partner and I order from them every few weeks! I can’t fault! Lovely and quick service, good portions for reasonable prices! I’m a bit fussy with my food and normally request my vegetarian dishes without a couple of things that I don’t like, they always make it without a problem! I hope they keep it good and always improving if that’s needed! :)

Ordered from hear food was nothing special and there was food missing from my order I phoned and practically had to beg them to send the missing items as they just kept say we'll send it next time no thanks

Have ordered many curries from here and the standard has definitely risen over the last few years. The phone and delivery staff are also very nice.

Ordered a takeout from here tonight, I was very disappointed & wont be returning. Ordered a variety of dishes including vegetarian dishes, they arrived in containers with no labels on, it was a guessing game which was which. The naan breads we ordered was suppose to be garlic (even had 2gn on bag) these were cold & plain. Then looked up to see these have a one star hygiene rating 🤮🤮🤮 I wouldn’t feed the chips to my dog. What was suppose to be a ‘half and half’ was some soggy chips on top of weird rice, which no one ate. 60% of the food went in the bin. It was super spicy despite being ‘mild’ on the menu. We all love spicy food but we all agreed it was not mild, worst Indian food I’ve had in my life. Plus hard work ordering food on the phone - had to really work hard to get worked to order what we wanted. Won’t be returning.

Another fantastic meal from tredegar balti house.

Simple:- lamb Tikka and a portion of tandoori chicken. What I got was 5 chunks of flavored chewy mutton. Tandoori chicken was so dry ,vile. Great service ,shame about the food

It’s the first time for us to have takeaway from the Tredegar Balti House. Fair prices, the food was of the best I’ve have in a long time. Delivery drive Raj, what nice guy and very friendly. We will be definitely be using this takeaway again. Great food. Mike

Absolutely disgusting food, we used this place every week spending between £25-35 each week normally nice food but last three times it's been disgusting no flavour and twice curry tipped all in bag and forgetting to put things in bag when ringing them up all u get is a childish girl on other end laughing and a mouthy owner in background not giving a Toss about his Buisness going down the pan, will Never use this place again and will make Sure all our friends and family give this hell hole a wide birth!!!!!! Fuming

We had a takeaway here on New Year's Eve. It was very tasty and the lady on the phone advised us in different dishes. It's delivery was prompt . The food is delicious and delivered piping hot.

You want a good curry then go to this place, lovely staff food excellent I've been going for years and won't touch any other Indian takeaway. Not expensive at all, always do as I ask them with my food, couldn't ask for a better place

Nos alojamos una noche para un descanso en Gales. Quiero decir nada pero suficientes cosas porque el personal, en particular las mujeres, era muy agradable y la comida es excelente, pero tengo que ser sincero y decir que la cama era horrible. Había dos camas por casualidad. La doble tenía una base divan con un colchón que era pulgadas demasiado pequeño, muy cansados y movido mi marido y yo laminados juntos cuando llegamos. Acabé durmiendo en camas separadas, pero aún así me pareció difícil dormir. La habitación era muy básica y no había calefacción en el cuarto de baño. Estaba bastante fría, hacía demasiado frío para ducha sin calor, así que traté de lavado por la mañana pero no había agua caliente en lavabo grifo. Esto no significa que no me volvería a alojar allí, pero volvería a comer allí mañana! El menú es muy grande por un sitio, a mitad de precio que pagaría en Bristol, y lo que teníamos era excelente para la cena. Así que la mañana siguiente inglés completo.

Stayed in Tredegar after a night out gigging in Brecon. Got take out so can't comment on the delivery, but curries, rice and naan were tasty and well cooked. Service was standard for a take away, pleasant enough. -1⭐for greasy rice, but would recommend.

I've used this Indian takeaway for some time as the staff are friendly and willing to customise dishes to suite the pallet. The food is good and tasty, my only concern is they're chips. They are French fries. Delivery is good, as they always give you an estimated time for delivery.
