Bouncers are unreasonable and will not listen. They refused to help us and were very rude, especially the bald one. He thinks he owns the place and clearly gets off on ruining young people’s nights. Club is too hung up on linguistics and is losing customers because of him. I’m clearly not alone in this as the whole page of reviews is all about him.

We had a great night, Josh was a highlight of the evening, giving great customer service and added to the atmosphere of the establishment . I would highly recommended Willoughby’s for a night out In Stamford. Greg (security from dove) was a great help in directing our night out!

the bouncers at this place are incredibly rude and prejudiced against males. 2 of 5 men get turned away for stupid reasons like 'not smart enough' or 'not today' which offers no explanation. They are argumentative and arrogant - especially the bald one, and have seen many people turned away for ridiculous and pointless reasons whereas typically, all the girls get accepted immediately.the drinks are expensive and crap, the queue for the bar is literally huge - willoughbys seems to think its a posh London nightclub when in reality its the only place thats open. I've yet to have a good time at this awful place. DO NOT BOTHER GOING.

Took over 40 minutes to get served at the bar and it just felt a bit clostrophobic, I wasn’t happy there so we left because it was so hard getting served

Me and my friends went to stamford for the first time the other night. We paid for a taxi all the way from Peterborough! We got to Willoughby’s at 11:50 and queued up. 4 of my friends got in and as I got to the door with my friend, HE was turned down due to what he was wearing, which was a black long sleeve top and black jeans. STUPID. As we waited around, we heard other guys questioning why they couldn’t get in. One guy couldn’t get in because he was wearing adidas trainers; classed as ‘Sportswear’. The bouncer was turning guys down just because of what they were wearing. THIS IS STUPID since all the girls were getting in. The bouncers are rude, judgmental and sexist. It ruined our night and we had to pay AGAIN for a taxi to Peterborough. I’ve never seen something so messed up. Willoughby bouncers need sacking for being sexist idiots.

A group of friends and I visited Willoughby’s on Friday night for a long over due catch up, a good dance and a drink or three... the night didn’t disappoint. The bar was very clean, the decor was great, very spacious, great music, very friendly staff and.... my shoes did not stick to the floor (unlike in most bars!!). There were several different areas and rooms to choose to spend your time, including an outside roof terrace. It was fab!! We ordered a ‘make your own’ cocktail box which was a unique and fun idea - I would definitely recommend the peach Bellini!! All in all it was a great night - my friends and I will definitely be seeing you again soon!!

This opened and was free to get in. Whatever the time. It use to be called central and had a typical chavvy awful drinks terrible atmosphere but when it finally opened after the refit it seemed promising. But it’s slipped back to the old central feel again. It has the monopoly on late night drinking in the town as no other places are open this late. That means it’s crowded. Very crowded! Which in turn means you will have to wait a very very long time to get served any form of drink. The quickest I’ve been served was about 50 mins, nearly an hour! The downstairs bar has only two people serving at peak times. It ridiculous. And now you have to pay the added bonus of £3 to get in to this awful place. What a joke. £3 to wait 50 minutes to pay £5 for an awful cocktail or gassy beer. It had a chance to be nice but it’s terrible back to the old place. It needs more bars and a proper cocktail bar and reduce the amount of people in as you can’t move. It’s not safe in my eyes should something happen causing people to panic and rush out. Awful place :(

Charged us £5 at 10:45 (usually free, but stated £5 from 11:00) and then took my sister’s ID from her because people decided they didn’t like my sister & reported her as ‘underage’. They didnt give my sister a fair say, & this resulted in being kicked out on New Year’s Eve & then when I asked for the ID back on behalf of my sister, they said they would give it back & once outside they told bouncer to not let us back in & refused the ID. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from all involved at Willoughby’s. Can not believe that we came to Stamford to celebrate & were treated in such a horrible manner. Offered to show my ID to prove that it was my sister’s & they had no interest at all. When asking for £5 back for entry after the events, the bouncer literally laughed in my face. Disgraceful on behalf of all parties. Will be continuing a dispute if they ever decide to recognise my ID so that my sister can claim hers back. Should be ashamed of their staff & the wind up merchant of a bouncer on the front door. Ruined New Year’s Eve & would only advise to avoid! Money grabbers & entertainers of childish antics.

Visited on a Thursday night, we were the only people in there! Value- there is a £10.95 for a pizza and cocktail, which equates to a pizza for around £3 if you are having a cocktail; why wouldn't you? Service was spot on- friendly and knowledgeable. Speed of food was second to none, and to top it all the pizza tasted amazing- best in town at least. We were recommended to go here by a friend, if we had read the reviews we probably wouldn't have done so, but so glad we did.

I work in hospitality myself and have spent years dealing with difficult, rude and ignorant guests and customers. The manager here however has severally irritated me due to the treatment we received. I realise that of an evening there is a certain expected clientele, however having just purchased a couple of bottles of prosecco and a round of drinks we took a booth. One of the party promptly spilled his drink over the seating and my friend tried to get off the seat to stop the drink from ruining her dress, she was in the middle and in order to do this and wait for the others to move out so we could get the seat dried she had to lean up on the seat with her heels. Admittedly this wasn't the best treatment of nice leather booths but the manager came over demanded she get down, and repetitively demanded in an extremely rude manner for her to get off the seat whilst she was trying to get out and off the wet seat. I tried to explain and apologise however was promptly greeted with 'yeh but she needs to get off the seat' which I wasn't disputing simply trying to add context to the situation. We were in many ways at fault and I am not arguing this point, but the way in which we were spoken to and treated was extremely lacking. This is poor customer service whatever way you look at it, and would never be tolerated in my work place. Raise your standards. The other staff however seemed delightful, it was just the manager who was unprofessional.

This place has just been refurbished and now does pizzas. They are very very good and taste fabulous. There isn't a great choice so the fussiest of eaters may struggle. The calzone is very good. They do a pizza and a pint which is great value. It gets very busy so booking a table or booth is advisable. When it is busy you may have to wait to be served as they also do cocktails and these take up quite a bit of time especially if a table of 10 all want one. Great food and great place to people watch while stuffing your face.

The old Central Nightclub had been closed for a while and reopened as a restaurant, so we booked to have a look. The décor is clean and modern and, while the main area is spacious, it felt a bit spread out. Nonetheless, we booked for a Saturday evening. It is the first restaurant I have ever walked out of before even ordering food. The atmosphere on the Saturday evening was completely different to what we had expected when we booked. Basically, it is a good place if you want to drink cheap alcohol but have a bite to eat when you get peckish. The prices were cheap, but it wasn't what we wanted... we were about 30 years too old for this venue. If you are under 25, it might be just what you are looking for - just not for us!

We order from here regularly but this driver who’ve I’ve never seen before has got an attitude that stinks. Think he needs to learn basic manners! Appalled!!

Waited 2 hours for food. By the time the food came out, appetite was passed it. Service was shocking could tell that the waiters were angry throwing ice cubes at the floor.
