I came here the day before my fathers funeral to treat myself. The first thing they did was ask about intolerance. I asked for a quiet table due to hearing issues, they got one for me and I suspect also turned down the background music. The food was divine, the service really helped my mood and when I asked for an ice cream surprise dessdessertgot one. Go....its fab. I shall definitely be returning to sample the vegan gluten free options.

Ended up being there after a horrible experience of suddenly being 'let off' from a new job i enjoyed doing and did well. I write this because i had intended to dine sooner and very regularly, but now i wont have the money to do that. I decided i wanted to taste the alcohol (not salt) that was in my tears, so thankfully the two-for-one offer is available on my favourite cocktails, which are fantastic. I ended up getting food as well, the goat's cheese bruschetta was lovely and the lasagna was perfect. The staff there are great, and i'm writing this review now because i only just remembered i forgot to tip when i paid, i'm a firm believer in cash-tips but i guess it's been that long since i'd been out for drinks and food i totally forgot. I want to visit this place more often, but don't know when i'll be able to, so i hope the staff don't assume if i'm not there again that it had anything to do with the food/drink service. Hopefully i'll find a hit man to buy out the business that 'let me off' so i can be re-hired, and thus continue eating and drinking at Wildwood Kitchen on a regular basis :)

Went here for lunch as part of a family day out. It was excellent and made so by the staff. All were excellent but especially our server, leanne. So friendly and efficient. The food was very good too, all well presented and very tasty. My wife is Coeliac and there was plenty of non gluten options. Will definitely return

We were staying in Telford on business and needed to eat in the centre of town. Sadly there’s little choice in Telford centre and this chain restaurant was as good a choice as any. We had a selection of small dishes to share between us. The dishes were okay, and the staff were all excellent.

£9 a pint. Terrible service and pricing. Do not go here! Rip people off and was the worst beer I had all day. Even the bar staff apologised for pricing.

Good Italian food, a step up from some of the chain restaurants that offer a similar menu. Generous portions. Service was a little bit too relaxed on the days we visited.

Booths are ridiculously tight and small and really uncomfortable. Very average service, lady/host with king dark hair more interested in looking at herself in the mirror than accommodating diners! Overpriced menu. Style Over Substance Cheek of adding service charge when there is no service! No wonder Worcester branch closed!

Brilliant evening, lovely young waitress who was so helpful. Delicious garlic/mozzarella bread, goats cheese pasta and rose.

usually it’s fantastic food but I’ve just ordered of just eat and it’s disgusting I don’t know who allowed this to go out the kitchen but I am appalled I ordered the chicken penne pasta for starters there was 2 slices of chicken in there it’s supposed to be cooked in a creamy pasta sauce what I received was a watery mess tastes like I was eating pasta water with orange food colouring on the pasta was so overcooked it was falling apart as I’m trying to pick it up and lacked every single flavour possible, the chips I received was also burnt to a crisp yet stone cold make it make sense, this place seriously lacks in the quality check department cuz anyone who took one look at that dish should of new it was inadequate to send out will not be ordering again!

I always love coming to Wildwood and I have always rated highly - I mean I still do. The food is always good, the decor is lush and I always get great service when I go. I hadn't been for a while so really fancied visiting and there was one thing on a recent visit I was a little disappointed with hence dropping a star. A friend and I visited within the last couple of months. I'm a veggie and do love the variations of food to offer. A little gutted that Halloumi dishes have gone but that's not the end of the world. We were greeted, seated and offered drinks pretty quickly. We took our time to order food but eventually ordered some dishes. Both my friend and I really enjoyed the food. We ordered some desserts, ate up and then asked for the bill. We decided prior that we were going to split the bill. So I grabbed a pen and marked off what was my friends and what was mine. We are both on a budget, and we'd saved to treat ourselves. We had looked at the menu prior to booking and noted what we liked to make a max budget each. After scanning the total we'd each ordered vs the total bill, we realised it didn't match. We flagged another waitress and asked what the charge on the bottom of the bill was for. We found out there was a service tip automatically added to the bill, and even though it was advised it was "optional" it was assumed and put onto the bill. We were a little disappointed by this because at no point were we told this. Not at the time of being seated nor at the time of requesting the bill or generally any point of the night we were there. It was just put on without any prior knowledge. If it was advised to us at the start, or when we asked for the bill, would you like to add a optional/voluntary tip for the service received, then that's rather different to popping it on without word, almost to see if we'd notice. It felt a little... cheeky. When we asked for it to be taken off because on this occasion we couldn't afford the amount that had been added. We could both offer a couple of £ each but not the amount added. The waitress (not our waitress) she seemed annoyed we didn't want it on there. She explained how the money would go direct to the waitress and its based on her services, which made us feel awkward. Our waitress's service wasn't poor by any means, however, we felt it would be better practice if we were at least asked first, when requesting the bill, rather than assuming and sticking it on without warning. If we'd been told then we would have happily added something on top if we had a few ££ spare. But the way it was handled overall made us awkward. I had the option to visit again a few weeks later with another friend, but we avoided the place because of this - I didn't want to feel bad if i was done again and I couldn't afford the additional. I don't know if its just this lady forgot to say something or if its a common thing here. But I do hope the venue takes this on board and is more open to their customers and advises this prior to adding it on the bill.

Haven't dined here for a long time as was poor before and yet again I was disappointed with my meal and service we ate here yesterday 26th December I was on a first date we ordered drinks and food my meal came luke warm the lady I came with her meal was ok but I noticed it was quite what we ordered they had added bacon and cheese anyway we was starving so continued to eat our meals not one person checked on our table even though there was only 4 other customers in there , the waitress cleared our plates still didn't ask if everything ok they asked us if we wanted deserts we declined a minute later the bill was on our table we hadn't even asked for so I looked at the bill it was another tables so they changed it for the right one which had extras on there for bacon and cheese and a 10% service charge because I was on a first date I didn't say anything I paid it and left I certainly won't be returning here such poor service when they actually had nothing to do as the place was dead , personally I would dine else where in Southwater....

Very very poor experience at lunchtime today. Ordered 2 Philly Cheese Steaks with Fries. Both sets of fries stone cold. Served on rock hard toasted bread. Cold cheese. Cold beef so spicy I can still taste it at 7pm despite only taking one bite. Asked to just pay for drinks. A few minutes later asked if we wanted desserts/coffees. Chased drinks bill again. Had the cheek to add a service charge. By this point I just wanted to leave so paid up and left. Terrible experience will not be returning to any Wildwood restaurants again.

OK, I will admit the place was *very* full of patrons. But it took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, and when it did, it was clear it had been sitting on “the pass” under the heat lamps for a considerable length of time, as the pasta was dried and congealed, and the ham on the pizza looked like cardboard. I’ve had bigger burgers at McDonald’s, for less than half the price; at it was literally just the burger and some fries, no coleslaw or anything to make the meal slightly more healthy/appealing. Very disappointing.

Been meaning to come here for ages and I cannot explain how glad I am that I finally did. The staff are SO lovely - Leanne served us and was really friendly and bubbly. I didn’t catch the gentleman’s name who greeted us at the door but he was also really kind and welcoming. The restaurant is so nice and relaxed, warm atmosphere and just really chilled. The food was absolutely amazing - Leanne recommended the mozzarella and caramelised onion garlic bread which was incredible. We got two pasta dishes, the carbonara and the piri piri chicken penne. Both delicious and really flavourful! We finished with the sticky toffee pudding with custard which was a really great portion for a dessert to share and was one of the nicest dishes I’ve ever had. Cannot wait to be back to try other dishes - thank you guys! Will remember to take photos next time!

Literally the only customers eating but didn’t want to offer the lunch menu at 4:50pm! Needed to take drinks order first, then came back to the table at 4:57 and couldn’t put it through in time as the system shuts off! Absolute joke. So paid £19 for lasagne and a drink when i could of had lasagne and another course for £11:95! I won’t be going again and neither will my colleagues. I get it if it was getting busy or if she had tried or even asked the question so it’s a no if your in after 4:30 don’t bother ordering from the lunch menu. Lasagne was microwaved anyway.

Visited on a very busy bank holiday Sunday. Yes the wait was a bit longer than usual but it was expected as the restaurant was full. The food and service were exceptional. A massive thank you to the staff.

Table of 8 ate here on Saturday. Service was a bit slow considering there weren’t many people in there. Ordered our food which was slightly disappointing to say the least , spaghetti carbonara which I think had been sitting on the hot plate for quite some time but was also quite tasteless also a small portion , my granddaughter had pasta and that was a much bigger portion. My grandchildren did enjoy the kids menu food . We had to chase for a bottle of water for the table . My daughter and I had tiramisu for dessert which wasn’t very nice had little to no taste so overall a disappointing visit .

A disastrous date night. First issue is when we ordered drinks, 35 mins later they still hadn’t arrived and after 3 times of chasing these the supervisor came over to us and apologised that the manager forgot to put these in the system. No apology from the manager at all (in fact he walked past us and ignored us as you could tell he felt embarrassed). Another 20 mins after this, our food still hadn’t arrived and the supervisor came over to us again and apologised that this had been missed and offered to discount our food, again no apology from the so called manager. Overall, we left very disappointed as the manager (Adam) is clearly not suitable for the role and the only thing that made the experience bearable was the supervisor (Brooke) who was very pleasant and courteous.

A thank you for looking after us as a family group of 11 (and one dog). Lovely food and relaxed atmosphere, managing to circumvent the inclement weather and ensure we had somewhere to eat as such a large group.

It was my 55th birthday .we had booked a table for 7pm with my family of 8 ppl.we arrived at 7.15 pm we told that all orders for meals need to be in as the kitchen closes at 8.30pm.That just spoilt my mood straight away we couldn't relax at all to have a nice family birthday meal evening on my birthday. Hour later was told that the drinks bar is closed too .we had to rush our meals & the portions were very small and very expensive felt very uncomfortable & under pressure with alot of tension!!I well unstaffed just wanted to go home ! I definitely wouldn't RECOMMEND IT family evening here unles you come BOOK FOR at 5pm.ITS A BIG WASTE OF MONEY poor Amosphere .

Ordered a take away through just eat. Didn't arrive, rang restaurant, was told it wasn't there problem and to call just eat (which by the way you can't). They say drivers steal their deliveries all the time! We visited Wildwood fee times now as food is always good but service is slower than I ever experienced!There was 4 maybe 5 tables and two waitresses so not busy at all!! Very close to hotel we were staying, recommended by hotel staff, 20% discount off main course! Great food, great friendly service, Enjoyed the food and drinks, Great prices too and very relaxed atmosphere. Definitely would return when next in the area!

Food was great & couldn’t fault the service at first, got seated & ordered food but after that it all went down hill.Waited about 25-30 minutes until we had to ask to have a dessert menu & have our empty plates away. Once we got given the menu we then waited another 25 minutes but at that point we got fed up so we decided to pay & leave. It wasn’t even busy as there were only about 5-6 tables of customers & the table next to us had to ask a member of staff to order their food. There were several members of staff sat down by the bar, a member of staff walking around cleaning & 1 member of staff that seemed to be taking the orders & doing drinks. Couldn’t fault the food but the service was just awful.

The food is so so good, and everyone who works there are so nice and helpful and very friendly I would always recommend anyone to go to this restaurant.

Went out for a meal with my boyfriend as the place looked quiet and a friend recommended it a while ago. The staff were pretty miserable throughout most the experience. Service was pretty quick though. The food; I personally feel as if it was over priced, presented messily and didn’t taste that nice. The turkey was chewy, the portion of stuffing I received was really quite pathetic and the steak was a stingy portion. Drinks were lovely however. Cutlery and glasses could’ve been polished better, both had fingerprints and watermarks all over.

Went here with my daughters and grandchildren Food was shocking !!!! Turkey dinner well turkey was dry, one stuffing ball rock hard veg undercooked and potatoes were awful. Rack of ribs tasted like they were just heated up.Best thing we’re the kids pizzas nice and homemade base tastes lovely Puddings we’re nice as well but not enough for us to return or recommend I’m afraid. Came here with work for a meal and got nothing but good food and the best service from Dan. Decided to go of the Christmas menu as it seemed a good deal. Had calamari to start which was just the best! My colleagues had the Camembert which also looked great. I had the sea bass for my main which was nice, nothing too special. For my dessert I had the hot chocolate brownie which sure was served hot :) Dan who served us was very accommodating and when one of my cocktails tasted a bit too strong for me, he was more than happy to fix this. Nothing was too much trouble. I had to get another portion of calamari to take out as it was just so tasty. I'll always come back here for the calamari. Highly recommend!

Tried this place on the off chance and picked a good time as shortly afterwards it got very busy which shows its popularity. We all had lovely filling pasta and risotto dishes, and there was a good drinks menu. Nice touch with the open kitchen. Staff very friendly. Would visit again.

Really had high hopes for this place but was let down by a rude waitress and poorly cooked food.After being seated, we had to wait for an age for our drinks order to be taken, and then even longer for them to be delivered. I had a Moretti and my partner had a sparkling water and asked for a slice of lemon in it.When the drinks arrived, the moretti didn't look particularly nice and was missing quite a bit from the top, and the water came with no lemon. My partner advised the waitress that it was missing a lemon and she rudely said 'we haven't got any that's why!'and walked off. Not a great start and I struggle to believe a restaurant do not have a single lemon.We had preordered our food and I had garlic prawns starter, whilst my partner had the vegan flatbread with cheese and caramelised onions. The prawns were overcooked and eith a bread roll which hadn't even been toasted. My partners flatbread didn't have the caramelised onions on it so they had to do a new one - so my prawns went cold whilst waiting. One of the 'chefs' decided to stand at the front of the kitchen eating the flatbread which didn't have onions on.In between dishes, I asked for another moretti. This came in a tumbler used for pop/squash, and had been sat on the bar for ages. When it finally arrived, it looked disgusting. The rude waitress from earlier, plonked it on the table and walked off before I could ask her for a replacement. I asked the other male waiter for a replacement and he agreed that it looked shocking, so I asked for a bottle of moretti instead. This came with the moretti glass (so not sure why they used a pop glass in the first instance).The mains came. I had a Calzone, which was overcooked and barely had any filling, and my partner had a vegan pesto pizza. She was happy enough with hers, but you could tell they had forgot to put the pesto on before cooking, and just drizzled loads from a bottle at the end which made the pizza watery. This is not to mention the state of the salt and pepper shakers (which we had to ask for salt as both shakers were pepper) and the fact the oil bottle had a metal pourer left inside the bottle.As we were more or less finished (but hadn't completely finished) , the rude waitress came over and said 'Do you want the bill whenever?!'. No offer of dessert, no asking if everything was okay, but almost as if she couldn't wait to get us out of there so she could finish. We paid and as were leaving, had to walk past the rude waitress, who simply ignored us and never said goodbye or even acknowledged us. This is the same for the two women at the bar who were sat on their phones and ignored us.All in all, a terrible visit. Apart from one guy, staff were rude, slow and spent more time gossiping and on their phones than doing their job.

Went in here after the first day of the Wales comic con in Telford.The waitress sat us near the door, which meant I got a draft everytime someone came in or out. It was November.Food was fine, but service was slow.I did notice that in small print at the bottom of the menu that they include a 10% service charge on your bill. This is wrong, it should not be down to a company to decide what tip you give the server, but the customer. If service had been better, I may have decided to leave one, but I felt it was expensive for what we got. The staff were pleasant, just not attentive enough. One server did ask how our food was just after it had been put in front of us, and I told her I didn't know as it had just arrived.All in all I will not recommend or return!

Visited Wildwood Kitchen one Saturday night for a quick dinner. The restaurant was reasonably busy but was told I’d have to wait around 40 minutes as the kitchen was busy, which was fine. Called in to Wildwood Kitchen, with my son, for a Dad & Lad, pre-Bond, lunch on Tuesday 12.10.2021 and had a really lovely time.We were the first ones in the restaurant, bang on opening time (12 noon), and were greeted by the lovely Maria who showed us to our table. Drinks orders were taken promptly with our food order which all then followed without much of a wait. We went for the baked spaghetti carbonara (which was gorgeous and just the right portion size) and a saurage/pepperoni/chicken calzone (which was massive) and all for a very reasonable £30This is a very bright, airy, spacious, trendy restaurant with a nice relaxed atmosphere and we found Maria and her team to be really attentive and charmingA great experience and would definitely come back and recommend (oh and the Bond film was excellent too !!)

Both of our starters were fantastic, and they came within 15mins! When our main course came out, my partners risotto had no taste, and it was very chewy! He then ordered a tap water, it never came so he asked another waitress and unfortunately she never brought it to the table either? But when we asked for the bill that came straight away, so they clearly wanted us gone. However they were busy and it was a Saturday night, but still we are paying customers!

As soon as you walk in the staff are happy to serve you. They made us feel extremely welcomed and served us quickly and efficiently. It is lovely to go into a restaurant and actually have happy and jolly members of staff for once (a rarity for telford)! Our waitress was a young brunette girl (we didn't catch her name but she had a yellow dress on) she was laughing and joking with us and honestly made us excited to come back. Food was fantastic and drinks were amazing. Great job

Almost completely empty restaurant not accepting walk-in customers at 7 pm on a Friday night.No explanation, just “no”.Deserve to go out of business if they make decisions like this.After walking into the hungry horse opposite and having a very pleasant meal, we noticed it was closed at 9pm.Useless.

Popped in here Saturday 4th September, with a family member. Once through the door, we were met by a male member of staff, who ushered us to a table of our choice, with some friendly chatter. He quickly took our drinks order, & then our food order off the menu. All appeared good, so we thought! That's where the "good" quickly ended, Where we'd chosen to sit, the table hadn't been relayed from the previous dinners, so no knife, fork, napkins, table condiments etc. We just naturally assumed that they'd be provided either just before our food order arrived, or with our food order, . . . . . . . . . . . .. . however, that just didn't happen. We had to ask for all the aforementioned, which we were most disappointed with, as it's a standard practice to have table cutlery, napkins, salt & pepper condiments at any dinning in establishment! I could have made allowances, if the restaurant had been rushed off it's feet, . . . . . . . but nope, . . . plenty of empty tables, & young waitresses just very casually, walking up to the bar area, sipping their hot & cold drinks!! Nobody came up to us to enquire if all was ok with our food, (Ps. Their garlic prawns b.t.w. were extremely acidic too, way, way too much lemon juice had been utilised in the sauce, overall, very poor indeed) & I had to catch a waitresses attention to ask for the bill, . . . once it had arrived, she then promptly walked off with the card machine, to have a casual chat with one of her colleagues! There was just no customer service, so I had no choice but to leave the money for the bill at the bar area! Absolutely disgusting, that there were plenty of waitresses, who had no sense of urgency to properly look after their dinning & PAYING customers! Hasten to add, we shall be giving this place a very wide birth from now on, which IS disappointing, as I used to dine in here with friends before lockdown, obviously standards have slipped & become shoddy!

We arrived for our booking at 7pm to be ignored by the man who seemed to be the manager for 10 minutes. He eventually came over and didn’t speak to us other than “name?”. He eventually took us to our seats where he then suddenly turned on the charm and it was all very bizarre. I asked for a sex on the beach and he proceeded to snigger? Very mature. Our starter came 10 mins before our drinks (20 mins after we ordered them). I had finished my drink by the time the main arrived and was never asked for another and I had trouble getting the attention of any server. Every single one of the servers appeared miserable except for the young girl who served us. I then ordered a second drink which took 15 mins to arrive at the table. The restaurant wasn’t full by any stretch but they were turning customers away saying they were fully booked, so unsure as to what the issue with serving drinks was

Everywhere else in Telford was fully booked on Saturday night so got a walk in table at this one. Wish we had waited half an hour at Nando’s quite frankly.Our server was the only plus point: v polite and friendly.The rest of the experience was beyond dire. Food came within 5 minutes or ordering, a major red flag particularly as it was spare ribs and chicken. The chips were stone cold: how is that possible? Sent them back. When I think about those ribs now I kind of feel ill. The manager. Well I’m not sure I should put in writing what I think. If you do go, make sure to tip the staff in cash as it’s one of those places where the company pockets most of it.

This was my first and last visit - Service is way below standard and waiting staff skills clearly show a lack of training and knowledge on dos and donts. Average food for top price - overall I am giving a start because I can't leave review without one but doesn't deserve it ...

We haven't been here for a long time with covid and what not.We arrived without a booking and were sat quickly. The menu has slightly changed since the last time we were in. My husband has a dairy allergy and the team were fantastic.A little wait on drinks but they were busy so understandable.Food came it was hot and fresh. The whole family enjoyed it.Service was good but they were super busy.Thanks for a lovely lunch

Excellent food. We were in Telford for a week and it quickly became our favourite. Our visits were a mixture of 12+ 8 or 4 people and each time great service. On one occasion we had a small issue and it was dealt with professionally and promptly. Thank you to the Manager! Special mention to Sammy who always went out of his way and gave great service. Didn’t get the name of others but would recommend a visit and enjoy good food with great service.

Despite booking a table we were told there was not a booking and they were fully booked. Eventually agreed we had booked table ( confirmation email confirmed) and we were shown to our table.We sat for 30 minutes, no one had been to take our order not even for drinks, all of the staff were too busy talking in a huddle by the door and ignored our attempts to attract their attention. Twice we asked passing staff to take our order to which they said someone would come over. Another 10 minutes passed, by which time I was ready to walk out and go elsewhere, when a young lady came and took our order. We were sat in full view of the bar and saw our drinks placed on to the bar where they stayed fir goodness knows how long. The food arrived at which point we asked if we could have our drinks with our meal, they arrived a few minutes later.I have got to say the food was delicious but the evening had already been ruined by the very poor service and the number of children running around and shouting and screaming.The bar was overflowing with dirty glasses waiting to be washed whilst the your lady behind the bar stood playing or texting on her mobile phone.Such a shame the service overshadowed the the quality of the food. Will not be returning

We waited 5-10 mins for the staff to seat two groups in front of us, staff looked lost. When we eventually got to the desk we were told someone would be with us, continued to wait, then told no walk-ins after the last group, with a tone from the staff member I’d rather do without to be honest, no apology, dismissive, pretty dire.

Good food and service. Although it was busy it was well run and I didn't have to wait long. Plenty of space between tables.

Upon entering we were greeted by a member of staff who showed us to our table. A few minutes later our drinks and food order was taken. Our drinks arrived we then had to wait around 20 mins for our share started which was only a garlic bread and to be fair the place wasn't that busy. After that our mains arrived we had to ask two members of staff where our side of fries were which neither got back to us they just brought them to our table but by then we had almost finished our mains. Shortly after I ordered a diet coke which once again after a wait I had to ask again where it was. To be fair the manageress brought it over and said because of the wait she had knocked it off the bill. Looking around the restaurant even tho it was modern and clean I just think it could just do with a little refresh as some draws had the fronts missing off them

First visit and unfortunately won't be rushing back.Positives are it feels covid secure, and the staff are excellent. Negative is the food which is a big issue considering this is a restaurant. I had the buttermilk chicken burger. It arrived with the fried coating soft and mushy with the actual chicken really hard - as if it was a frozen fillet which they didn't heat up properly. The fries were OK though. Price wise you get far better at a local pub which would cost less. Drinks also are crazy expensive. Bottle of beer close to a fiver - I don't mind paying a premium but it's cheaper in the middle of London for bottles of these beers - I had tap water instead. Won't be rushing back. For the price being charged they need to employ a chef and prepare fresh food rather than using frozen.

We were a table of 6 celebrating a hen do. We were seated quickly. Give complimentary prosecco which was a lovely touch. Food was beautiful. Definitely recommend the calzone and cookie dough .... So good. Cocktails were great too. Thank you so much

Sat in the bar area as the restaurant was full. I had the mushroom arancini which was amazing. The baked spaghetti carbonara was so tasty. Staff were really friendly and professional. Prices were reasonable but menu a bit too scaled back.

The food was excellent, my wife loved her penne pasta and rosemary garlic bread, my picante pizza was delicious it was just a shame that they didn’t have enough experienced staff to ensure the service was smoother, there was a lot of waiting and a lot of people were being turned away, had that been better I would have not hesitated to give a five star rating. Lots of gluten free options

This is not a joke and no punchline...this is what happening booked for 6.30 great showed to our tables all fine! Lady over for drinks order all sorted! Oh my god then 1/2 we waited until we had to grab someone to take out order 40 mins later a lady came over to us and took our order again?! By then we had been an hour and 10 mins! She apologised and said the waitress didn’t ring in the order and apologised put it through urgent another 30 mins..by now an hour and 40 mins we finally get our starters.....cleared away and lady apologies another 30 mins we have been in the restaurant by this point 2hrs 10 mins we get the food extra chips missing and steak was well done and not medium rare at this point they tried to cook another steak but we had enough! I am truly disappointed I know it was slightly busy but this was my worst time in a restaurant I have ever had! Takeaway orders from just eat were coming in constant taking the whole serving hatch up with brown paper bags and mostly the time of the chef and staff and missing what is important the diners prior were coming in constant to collect for delivery! We were definitely not the only ones complaining either it was the first weekend eating in and I know restaurants want to make back money as soon possible but not the expensive of the paying diners who have come to the enjoy the experience is not on! Too much for the poor staff they were run ragged, service was poor and an absolute disaster! They apologised and give us a large proportion of our money back! Nothing will help us forget that! Shame as always loved it there before but the takeaways cheapened it was a lovely restaurant and atmosphere you should have cancelled the just eat/Deliveroo orders until you were back on your feet! Don’t mistake customer service and loyalty for greed wildwood don’t need to do takeaways of that scale especially when it was so busy! The only reason I haven’t put a 1 star is the lovely lady who I felt so sorry for was lovely and very apologetic, you should be ashamed to put them in they position! We were pretty reasonable to a certain point but I can imagine they would have taken along more flack in other circumstances! Just feel let down as was first night back out and totally frustrated

Came today with my two sons and dog, fantastic service, beautiful food, highly recommend. My 8year old son absolutely loved the chips he said they were amazing and he kept complimenting. Carrie was great

Stayed at travelodge for work, they said great food to takeaway. They were right, tasty topping and plenty of it. Really enjoyed.

Lunch - lovely place, friendly waitresses, I had a delicious mushroom risotto with chicken, She had tasty prawns and salad, one 6 year-old wolfed down his spaghetti bolognese, his twin brother savoured a margarita pizza served on a wooden board. Coffee good. The only negative was no-one came back to us but there was no difficulty flagging down a passing waitress to get the bill... then came back the same day:Dinner - takeaway of one chicken burger, one beef burger, both yum. Parking for that was tricky easiest to go in a pair or get them to deliver.

Pleasantly surprised. We visited today without reservation & were able to get a table due to a no show. The mushroomArancini starter was amazing, mushroom risotto good, a little too much truffle oil for my tastes. The kids menu was very good value with generous portions, service was really good

Today me and my friend decided to go to wildwood as a treat seeing each other for the first time since lockdown. We arrived and were seated quickly, we ordered our food to have 1 wrong starter arrive, that was sorted quickly. We then ordered a steak each as our main only for it to come practically rare and stone cold, it was sent back and we had our meal come out nice and hot but then when melting my garlic butter into my steak I realised there was a thick layer of mould on the top of my butter! So disappointed as we used to regularly come here but it has put me off completely. The only positive is that our waiter Taylor was lovely, understanding and apologetic. Sadly the chef seems to have an attitude problem and we could hear him moaning about us returning a meal which had mould on! Seems like you need to return to catering school to relearn how to check dates on food and cook steak properly to the minimum temp!

We tried several places in Southwater but they were full. So decided to bite the bullet and try Wildwood kitchen a place we had wanted to eat at in the past but was put off by the price. But the day was our anniversary so splash out. The food was very good, staff friendly and attentive. Asked for the bill and was very surprised our 4 year old ate for £1 and we had 50% taken off the bill.If only we had known that before we would have been before and as such we will return again soon and probably after they stop the discount schemes.

In the COVID era...Starters were prawns (lovely) and a shared camembert and garlic bread. Both lovely. We had lasagne, chorizo pasta and a calzoneAll were tasty and well flavoured. Lasagne was super hot and delicious. Chunky chips were excellent.Staff were all great. Social distancing unobtrusive. Track and trace was easy on the Wi-Fi. An excellent evening and food.

It was nice to see how well this restaurant followed the covid rules.We arrived without booking and were seated fairly quickly. The staff were polite and welcoming and the food was like a party in your mouth. It was my first time trying halloumi fries and I already feel an addiction for them. The philly steak was delicious and the chips were cooked to perfection. My partner had an artisan pizza which he ravished. With the eat out to help out offer it was at a price we could finally afford as this is a restaurant we had wanted to visit together for a long time and it was very worth it.

The food that should have took 15 minutes took 1hour and 30 minutes. Food was NOT COOKED!!! Do not come here!

We called in on spec after forgetting about Eat Out and managed to get a table in 15 mins. Place wasn't full and tables spaced well apart. It felt comfortable. Covid details asked for etc and rules explained. I read previous reviews while inside and thought oh no. But it was fine. Ordered a pizza with no cheese and they got it wrong, but when came did taste nice. Management gave free drink for inconvenience. Staff were polite and very friendly. Would return.
