Whittington Cantonese Takeaway in Lichfield

Used them for 8 years always satisfied. Tonight asked about a gluten free dish told yes plus another dish . Went to collect and told no such gluten free dish and no record of order. Rude, unhelpful and said we'd rung wrong number. Will never use again !!!

Good food and excellent service!

We have used this chinese since it’s been open and it’s always been our favourite. The last year is so it seen they have changed and a young girl takes orders and is front of house. She is VERY VERY rude and we have had numerous problems with her. She is a moody teenager that just can not be bothered to deal with anyone but little or care does she know that she’s loosing so much business. She alternates her price o. prawn crackers dependant on who you are. I’d still recommend the food but the service is VERY poo

I am sorry to say this but this is the worst Chinese take away I have ever eaten. We eat chinese every first week once of the month. We just moved to Whittington last week. Decided to get Chinese from this place. We ordered dry pork ribs spicy, chicken wings spicy and vegetable mix . The lady asked me which sauce we want. We didnt want it sweet or with bbq sauce so we said we wanted it dry. In other Chinese we always order this and it comes fried with cabbages, onions , chillies, capsicum and green onions. Looked very busy inside. When we received our food, we checked it in our car and it was just meat like just a big pieces of ribs and pieces of wings. Guess what was in mix vegetables- onions, mushrooms , capsicum few bits of carrots and looked bland and tastes bland. We went in and talked to the lady , she was a bit rude but we could understand that because it was very busy. We told her what we wanted and she took it back. They added some onions and chillies in it . I am sorry to say this but it was still bad. We couldn’t enjoy eating it.

Very poor pork ribs, tasteless and waste of money.

If you want something different to eat quickly, I highly recommend this place.

Had food from this place twice now and it has been really lovely. Would highly recommend. Usually have Beef curry and boiled rice, Special chowmein, Chips, Small portion of BBQ spare ribs.

Menu good and comprehensive and friendly staff. Good prices and good quality food. We usually opt for the chicken dishes as the beef has a wierd squidgy texture and the duck dishes are usually fatty and lots of skin. We buy from here regularly as its our local!

We had a brilliant take away from here, friendly staff excellent food and big portions with value for money 😁 would definitely recommend and will visit again when passing through 😁

Recently service has gone down hill when you call up constantly told 1 second please don't take the orders down properly i used to use here every friday but think its time to find elsewhere

Excellent Food. Good value and great quality. Lemon-Honey Chicken delicious (actually tastes of lemon not just sweet and sickly like most_.) Would be very happy to order again from here.

Good service. Very tasty food. Bear in mind that it's cash only so don't be caught out. There's a cash machine in the Co-op, and a very nice 'waiting room' in the Bell Inn!

Quite a good selection of food and quality OK. I needed a VAT receipt to get back the 20% VAT but was told they are not VAT registered. If so, why does the menu say the prices include VAT? Some thing wrong there?

Nice atmosphere and great food ~

Found a dead mosquito in my takeaway. Took the meal back, and the old lady took my meal into the kitchen and returned with a beansprout head and fobbed the mosquito off as this. Insulting and bloody rude, will never use again!

Worst chinese ever - had to bin my singapore rice noodles, ridiculously salty and nothing good to say about it

Worst takeaway EVER! They got the order wrong even though I gave the numbers as well as the menu description, the food was tasteless and the pork Chow Mein was disgusting with vermicelli noodles dry and overcooked, meat dried up and no vegetables in the dish. I threw it away!

Sweat and chili special has to be tried.
