Me and hubby had an amazing roast beef lunch today followed by lemon meringue pie and sticky toffee pudding, fantastic staff who made us feel very welcome and lovely atmosphere. Thank you all x

Our first visit to Whites while on holiday in Scratby. The food was good and a nice selection. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We'll call in again next time we're holidaying up there.

We visited Whites on a Saturday evening without a booking. The lovely staff found us a table. Excellent friendly service with food to match. Would definitely come back to Whites if we are in Scratby again.

My friend and myself have just been for Sunday dinner. The food was delicious. Staff very helpful and polite. A lovely place with lovely food. I'd highly recommend a visit here. You won't be disappointed.

As a Family of 6 with 2 grandchildren we went for Sunday dinner. Prawn cocktail for starters and the Adults had roast,Lamb and Pork. It was amazing and so tasty and a lot of it. The grandchildren had of the kids menu and we all cleared our plates. The puddings well seeing and eating is believing awesome. Every thing was beautiful presented. The staff were really friendly and helpful , The drinks selection were great. We always come here when we come first our family break and never disappointed here. Planning again for later We have been coming here or next door (moments)for a very long time 20+ years.

Was staying nearby so booked in here for Sunday Lunch. Service was great and the roast was lovely. Good selection of meats available and plenty of it, accompanied by plenty of veg. Only slight criticism would be the lack of wine choice, but that is only very minor. Would recommend a visit if you are staying in Scratby.

#Cocktails in the sun Today we give thanks for the hospitality of Whites Lounge Bar who welcomed us tonight. The cocktails were good, the coffee was nice, but as true foodies, it was the dessert that really stole the show. Situated in the seaside village of Scratby, Great Yarmouth, "White's Lounge Bar" is a small walk away from golden sands #beach, serving some great cooked #meals with a choice of equally delicious puddings. With a good old fashioned welcoming service and customer care, this makes it easy to recommend.

What a nice place. Were on holiday here, so booked this place for Sunday lunch for 13 of us. The people were very friendly and helpful.service was efficient and timely. The food was very delicious and hot. One of the best roast dinners I have eaten out. Just a shame we're not local. But if you are holidaying near here, give it a look. You won't be dissapointed.

Food was absolutely wonderful and reasonably priced. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Very well set up with a pleasant atmosphere, indoor seating for around 40 so not massive but cosy.

Lovely restaurant. Staff made you feel very welcome. Clean, friendly atmosphere and well cooked, presented food. My daughter wanted a cheese burger and it came to our table without the cheese. Instead of just bringing some cheese, the owner came back with another freshly cooked burger with cheese on it. Fantastic service and very reasonably priced. Will definitely visit here again

3 of us visited this restaurant yesterday & had the best roast dinner we have ever paid for. 2 of us had lamb & 1 pork & both meats were cooked beautifully & very generous portions. It’s a small, cosy place & the service feels very personal. We will def be going back 😊🫤🫤 We had beer & desserts too

Jazz and her team were the stars of this show. Great friendly service under pressure on a very busy Friday night. We had to wait for a table but could see the quality of the food coming out so happy to wait - and we were not disappointed - the salmon was delicious. We returned on the Sunday and received the same great service and a fantastic Sunday roast. I don't know who owns this place but I hope you appreciate what a great bunch of people you have working there. Highly recommend

Pate is very tasty, the beef was cooked to perfection and the apple and cinnamon crumble tasted home made and scrumptious. Quality.

Managed to get a table here for Sunday lunch.. Starters were a good size and very well presented. Sunday dinner was an absolute triumph! All the elements were perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely wonderful. The meat was tender and succulent and the vegetables and accompaniments were excellent. My family and I have been coming to the area for years and always feel the food is generally poor however Marlowes has turned this opinion round! Hand on heart the best food we’ve had here in 10 years Scratby needs to support this new business and get behind the chef and staff! Who will look after you with great food and hospitality in return Will definately rebook for an evening meal

Four of us had different mains, Fillet Steak and Lobster/Pasta/Burger/Skate all excellent. Service and attention to detail good but a little noisy. A return is on the cards. Compliments to the chef and the kitchen staff

Overall it’s a lovely place. They have an inside restaurant which looked great. The outside space was good with lots of tables and picnic benches, umbrellas and a couple of patio heaters. The bar area has high tables and high stools which were not comfortable unless you like that style of chair. Would be nice to have proper seats not stools. Dog friendly in the bar area and outside which is a big bonus. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The service was good. The food was lovely, fresh ingredients and decent sized portions. A solid 4/5 *s 👍

An absolutely delicious meal..We had a mix of tapas, main meals and then desserts. Every single dish was beautifully cooked and presented. Service was excellent and staff were attentive. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

This is one of the best places i have eaten in for a long while! Attentive service, great menu and most importantly great food. Nice environment as well, reasonably priced. Easiest 5 stars ever.

Very friendly staff, welcome children, great location. Good drinks selection with An amazing selection of meals. I recommend the lasagne, lamb burger and Sunday roasts. Their smaller portion basket meals are a go to aswell. Will keep visiting for a smiling face and a even bigger smiling belly.

The beef in their Sunday roast has to the best in the area in my opinion 😋. Choice of seating inside and on the patio. Also the bench tables outside in the sun for food and drinks...

Well organised hospitality business spite having restaurant and the bar closed closed at the moment due to restrictions.Still provide excellent customer service and take away including Sunday lunches.

Had cod and chips, cod good chips not, at least not cooked in lard though, others in the party had garlic prawns and fish pie and apparently both good, waiting staff friendly and attentive, will be back next time in area.

Gorgeous food in the restaurant garden,we have a small dog so expected to eat outside,but they had heaters out there so you don’t get cold ,the food is amazing brilliant chef abd staff are lovely too ,highly recommend going there

We came for dinner yesterday! We had thought about coming a few times but hadn't done yet. We were very very happy with our visit. The building is lovely, drink order and food order taken very quickly. Both drinks and food also arrived quick. Food was delicious we all enjoyed our meals. Toilets very clean all staff we spoke to we're very polite and helpful. We've decided next year we'll visit more often and try the menu! Thank you for making our visit nice.

An amazing find!! Lovely place with excellent quality food, service and the right value to match. Clean and fresh place topped off with great service from Trudi and others, they made my daughters 7th birthday extra special. They all went the extra mile. Highly recommend this place.

We didn't eat here, we just called for a drink. Unfortunately we couldn't go inside because we had our little dog with us and they do not allow dogs inside. We ordered two drinks which we thought were quite expensive. There were a few people inside all of whom were eating. I would say it's more of a restaurant than a bar. The toilets were clean and accessible.

Nice food, the basket menu was good, reasonable prices and the guy even brought 2 sausages out for the dog! :)

Visited here on a Friday night while staying in the area. We didn’t book but we got a table inside on arrival - it wasn’t extra busy at this time. Cute little restaurant with a nice outside area too. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We fancied bread, oil and olives to start but they didn’t have this on the menu. We just enquired to see if they could do it and they did! We couldn’t understand why they didn’t offer this on the menu as a little starter if they could provide it as it was good! My friend ordered the chicken salad which comes with Stilton, she asked if this could be removed and the waiter offered either halloumi or feta as an alternative - again very helpful. Would maybe again suggest offering this on the menu as alternative options if they are available as Stilton isn’t to everyone’s taste. Overall we had a lovely night in there and I thought it was also very reasonably priced.

Decided to stop here for tea last Thursday evening, 6 of us so bit of a tight squeeze on the tables outside and due to social distancing in place we couldn't move 2 tables together, however we all decided on basket meals and my we were not disappointed, the scampi was delicious the best I've ever ester and the burgers were proper beef really delicious, quick prompt safe service we also had to use the toilets spotless clean and management do insist on face coverings whilst entering the bar area not a problem Thank you

We visited whites tonight wanted to celebrate our sons GCSE results and happened to be on holiday in Norfolk. We read the reviews for whites and had visited for a drink the night before to check it out. We were certainly NOT disappointed! Happened to be steak night which was an unexpected treat! The whole place was immaculately clean which I value a lot and lots of covid procedures in place still which was great and adhered to by all. One of my sons forgot his mask but they had one to hand for us and indeed other guests that arrived without one. Superbly clean. Small Team work relentlessly all night to make sure everyone we gone was catered for in a timely manner. Food and service was spot on. Faultless in fact! Food was superb and service amazing. Nothing too much trouble and great for a special meal in a surrounding that has lots of fast food places but not many great food restaurants. A diamond in the rough so to speak. Huge compliments to all Staff and the chef(s)! Steak was superb as were all the courses and meals. Our only very slight comment would be that the chips could be chunkier or homemade but only a minor issue. Tbf we didn’t eat them all anyway as too full!! Great job guys

Saturday night a charm; Wednesday night, not so much.We visited the WLB on a Saturday night and enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and quality selection of drinks; so much so we stayed until last orders. To make the experience even more enjoyable, the price was half what we’d pay in London.Based on this good experience, we visited again tonight, Wednesday. Acceptably, it was raining and not sunny, but even with seating on the patio (under the marquee) and a no-show 6 seater taken up by 4 people who had just moved from the patio there was no effort from the gentleman behind the bar to make arrangements for us to sit, only jokes about we could sit on the benches outside. Plenty of social distanced room available with a bit of vacant rearranging, but no doubt the impression we gave, it being a Wednesday and we’re on holiday, was we were not worthy of the service.A real shame considering how nice it was the first time, to be left with a foul taste and not returning again. Some work to do on customer service.

Popped in for a few drinks and decided to stay for food. Kitchen was due to close but they agreed to keep it open for us. We had Gammon and Hunters Chicken, both served with Chips. Food was lovely and fresh. Service was very friendly. Will be visiting again soon.

Went here for lunch and then also came back in the evening for some drinks. They have a lovely menu with lots of different options and also a good selection of drinks on tap. Staff are very welcoming and friendly and the food was excellent. I shall definitely be returning again.

I visited for the first time as on holiday. Very welcoming and seating area was very appealing. Ordered a tuna baguette which come out in a lovely basket with salad. The service was fantastic too. Will definitely come again when in the area.

Nice wine bar and only restaurant open in the village. Popped in here a couple of times while on holiday.Ate once,food average pub grub, drink and food prices are average.Staff where polite and efficient.Outside area dog friendly and decent amount of seating.No competition around so not much choice in walking distance.

Three meals here whilst stopping at Summerfields. Two meals excellent - the burgers are ace! The other meal average but value for money. Nice staff.

We booked a table at Whites prior to arriving on our holiday as I was aware there were only a few tables here. We arrive on time with 2 children in tow and sit down. I am surprised to order drinks and recieve these in plastic containers, but not as surprised as my wife who orders a glass of wine only to get this in a half pint plastic cup!!!. The drinks are not cheap so you would expect a glass at least and don't forget your out for a meal not sitting in McDonald's. We are given menus and only at this point and NOT when I booked are we told all food is served at your table in takeaway containers and wooden forks. At this point we decided not to order as I refuse to sit at a table and eat food from containers. The joke here is that on their special evening events where the food is slightly more expensive you get a plate!!. I was told the reason for containers is due to covid, clearly there is no issue with covid if it's one of their special nights and you pay more. Please don't insult people's intelligence as whether you give out containers or plates your staff are still handling them and they were not wearing gloves or masks so what's the difference. We had one drink and left and popped to the chippy opposite and probably saved ourselves £70 at least. If you want to serve food in cheap containers and wooden forks then at least have the decency to tell customers when they book rather than wait till they arrive. We visited other restaurants during our stay and happy to say we got plates and proper cutlery.

Enjoyed a socially distance dinner with family, had an extremely positive experience with the cheerful staff and setting, the restaurant was layed out neatly and has an outside seating area. The food was exemplary with a double order being very tempting, one of the best coastal restaurants I have ever been to! 5 Stars!

Visited and was happy to wait the almost hour to have food with 4 kiddies in tough after having bought drinking we nipped to chippie to grabs the kids some chips who were on verge of tantrums only to then have to leave as they wouldn't allow the kids to eat food that's not from them..needless to say the chipping ended up receiving a nice big order for 8people people instead...

Seated and order taken, friendly staff however food served in takeaway containers meaning burger roll was soggy, wooden forks and plastic knives which broke when cutting into food, spork given to eat a curry with, not very good standard and pandemic used as an excuse for lack of crockery or cutlery.

This is super basic pub food. (They jazz up the titles, but the "bbq beans" were definitely just baked beans.)

Excellent virus procedures in place. We went for a meal on there steak night had a great meal and very welcoming to our two grandchildren. After our meal we sat outside for a drink and was very relaxing. Would recommend to anyone.

Well there's a first for Me! I've never had the Police called on me to leave a Restaurant before!!Not really a problem with the food apart from loads of bones in my cod but that wasn't the start of my constructive criticism for this place!! Booked two nights ago for 6 of us, meant to be a nice meet up for us and family.The menu wasn't very clear what meals came with what and when we asked the person taking our order the reply we got at first was...chips chips or chips! Then we asked what something else came with to be told nothing sides are more, whilst thinking she said come on we haven't got all day! Rude! Didn't say anything tho at this point! Order complete thinking how abrupt and unfriendly this person is Food Served....If I'd have know we were paying to eat in but being served in take away boxes with flimsy wooden knives and folks I don't think I'd have booked there to start with but I'll say that everyone enjoyed their food thankfully apart from all the bones I found in my fishAfter food the same person who took our order came to collect erm...the plastic waste we were served in....we said, why do you serve this way and if we knew we wouldn't have come for a sit down meal in takeaway boxes?! She was sharp to reply.. well that's how I choose to do it for everyones safety!! We asked her why when when everything is still touched by everyone and that surely it was more harmful to the environment! She abruptly said well that's your opinion and this is mine, she said it was all bio degradable but I'm yet to find polystyrene box's that are bio degradable!! also I didn't see any seperation of food and recycling, the lot was just thrown in a bin! Well done on doing Absolutely Zero for the environment Ok so this is the owner that so rudely took our order to start with!A family member then mentioned my fish having lots of bones....But rather than the Owner apologing or being polite in any way she was quick to jump and be defensive to say well we can't guarantee a cod filet to be bone free! And walked off 2 nights before we had 4 very nice large fish and chips on the coast, ate inside and not a single bloody bond love!!!!!!Not wanting to come back to us with the bill she sent over someone else....we paid without complaint.....But I told everyone to leave....I was going to have a word!!!!!Very quietly and calmly I approached the owner and said, can I please just say something?She said, again in a Very Defensive manner...You can say what you like!! And laughing.....I stepped back and said Wow! That's exactly what I want to talk to you about, you attitude is so bad!! She said Ok let's go outside and talk!(Lots more people outside but yeah ok then!)Oh My Good God this woman just will not let you speak! But told us to leave! I said I'm just trying to talk to you, I'm not shouting, I'm just trying to talk....... She wasn't having any of it.Said if I didn't leave she'd call the Police..... Go on then love I've done nothing wrong, you go ahead and waste some police time because you don't want to hear what I've got to say! She went back inside, I followed her quietly to try and speak but she's up in my face saying get out as I'm leaning against the bar. Then she's calling the police...what an absolute joke!!The childish behaviour of this lady was unbelievable but she doesn't care because most people lining her pockets are holiday makers that will go once and never again, not that she'll care because the next family are soon in!!!!!!Someone get Gordon Ramsey in there to tell her in true Gordon style her attitude Absolutely F***ing Stinks!!!!! This woman cannot take feed back she's away with the fairy's.

We visited last night (08.08.2020), they had implemented a great ‘COVID-19’ safe system. Everywhere felt really clean. The staff were great. The food, which was lovely, was served in takeaway boxes, this was explained to us on the phone and once we arrived. Lovely atmosphere.
