We've avoided coming here after bad experiences in the past but the new management have totally turned things around. The bar staff were welcoming and helpful as there's loads of options for food and drink. We chose the scampi and the children had kids meals. The food was piping hot and delicious, a huge improvement on what we'd experienced before. We'll definetely return in the near future. High praise for the new owners. Angela Roberts & Family! <3

We enjoyed a light lunch from the Small Plates menu. There were lots of choices to be considered from a range of menus. We selected crispy chicken which came with chips and a delicious BBQ dip, and scampi with chips and garden peas. Perfect size portions for a light snack. Lovely service and a genuine welcome from the new management team. Choice of alcohol free in both beers and ciders. Clean and pleasant venue both inside and in the garden. Lovely start to the Summer break from school.

Sad to say only very average. Portion size poor. Some of the beef was inedible. Peas not cooked. On a positive note potatoes, yorkshire puds and gravy good.

Sunday lunch was honestly one of the nicest I’ve had round here for a very long time, the meat falls apart and the gravy is just on another level! I couldn’t believe I’ve drove passed it so many times and missed out and gone to other places!

1-4 Grosvenor StreetWent here at the weekend after googling an all u can eat Chinese restraunt. The food was really good the problem like others who have reviewed here is the all you can eat part. Had a mediocre soup. Appertisers were amazing but was rushed through to the crispy duck. We thought ok we can order extra duck. We were then told the all you can eat is not on the duck so we thought only on the mains. Everything is cooked fresh and brought to your table. When the mains arrived the portions are tiny. 3 king prawns in one dish. 4 small pieces of chicken in another. So when we finished we ordered more. That's when the mood changed the waitress then snatched the menus out of my hand and walked off. It was like how dare you order more. The ice cream is bad loads of ice in it like it had been there for ages. And no fresh fruit as advertised. Bravo to the chef the food is good. But the service makes you feel uncomfortable and not able to order more. I left feeling not content and a bit angry at the treatment.
