Huge portions of 'homemade' Polish food. Good service and atmosphere 👌🏻 However, cutlery, glasses and toilets are dirty and that's a shame as otherwise the place is lovely.

Lovely place and lovely food! My Great Grandmother was Polish and my Grandmother half German/Polish so when I discovered this place I was so happy! The food brings back good memories for me of my Grandmother's cooking which was a mash up of German and Polish dishes.

First time going to a Polish restaurant... Absolutely loved it. The portion of food was beyond enough, I had the schabowy with mashed potatoes and the awesome salad. The ambience is awesome, surrounded by people who are actually enjoying their meals quietly. 10/10 for everything! Will most definitely come back!

Thank you for organizing the First Communion party. The food was delicious, home-made and large portions. After the main course, we had no energy for appetizers. The service was very nice and polite. The food was delicious. Be prepared for big, generous portions. We had cabbage rolls and pork schnitzel. Meat was covering the whole plate. They have a new small menu and that's always a good sign. If I lived nearby I would visit this place often!

First time trying the food at a local restaurant have walked past often. Definitely not disappointed and really enjoyed our evening there.

Well over priced, my polish nan jumped out of her grave upon knowing that I just read the menu. And that in itself is an impressive feat, bear in mind the orthodox burial process being where the female is buried directly under her husband. Most of eastern european food is more or less peasant food. Ie thick pastry, potatoes being the staple to survive the times. This is wayyyyyy overpriced compared to other Slavic places for an average cuisine and small portions.

Good Polish food, nice atmosphere and service, friendly place for families with children and a great place for special events. As usual, the cuisine did not disappoint us, we recommend it.

Have been going to this very traditional Polish restaurant for some time, but hadn't been for a while. Definitely gone down hill since our last visit - the menu has changed, with very little now for the smaller appetite. Coffee machine not working, no dry white wine. Food is still very tasty but portion sizes are enormous so much of the food went to waste. What we had was very tasty but we found the menu very limited now, clearly aimed solely at the Polish community only, won't be back I'm sorry to say.

We were the only customers, wonderful service and a warm welcome.

The food was amazing and plentiful. This will now be our monthly treat destination. Be aware, children eat for £1 before 5pm only. We ordered the daily special, but were charged for the soft drinks that were, according to their own Facebook page, included in the price. It won't stop us returning, we'll just be sure to get clarification.

What a great discovery!! If I lived in Gravesend, I'd be in here on a weekly basis. The White Eagle serves Central European food and drink - perfect with Autumn approaching. Please look beyond the straightforward appearance, both outside and in, and enjoy the cosiness of very well prepared country cuisine. It is honest and straightforward with great balance in the seasoning. Do try the Zurek soup in the bread bowl - it is fantastic (filling). The staff are cheerful and helpful. I'm giving five stars, because it delivers perfectly what it sets out to be. Congratulations to the owner and to the chef - bravo!!!

Great tasting food coupled with excellent service makes this restaurant a great place to eat. Ate here during the week and it was a little quiet which was lovely as the staff had more attentive. The food is very reasonably priced and the portions are a good size. If you leave this place unhappy and hungry, there's something wrong with you!

Haven't had such a good meal in months. Perfectly cooked, spot on seasoning, great accompanying sides. And although I'm a good trencherman, I couldn't finish my plate. Would highly recommend. And a good beer and drinks menu. Closes slightly early is the only slight downside

I don't recommend eating here. Ordered steak tartare. The onion could as well have been uncut and served with the steak tartare. In addition to the onion, cucumber. Shock, zero mushrooms, mustard on request. The service ladies are a different story. I would suggest that the owner be trained in service and pay not by the hour but a percentage of the table, maybe then asking for something to drink with dinner wouldn't be out of the ordinary. At least ask if it tastes good and if we want to order something else. The waitress with black hair and a whale fin imprinted on her forehead instead of an eyebrow outdid herself when she started checking the information on her super gadget watch while ordering. I have never experienced such poor food and service.

We recently visited this restaurant and I was nicely surprised with plenty of different Polish dishes to pick. Food was tasty and freshly made. This is also a great spot to go and enjoy a pint with friends. I would recommend to anyone.

The food is great and we've been there 2 or 3 times a week to eat but tonight, behaivour of waitres who pretended to be the manager was rude. We went there at 7.20pm and they said kitchen closes at 7.30pm and she took our order had food 25 min later and we've been rushed to eat. She was coming to take the plates even if we didn't finished to eat. Last atempt 2 of us finished eating and 1 still had food and still eating and took the garlic sauce from her face. Then said restaurant closes at 8pm when every time they close at 9pm. She had a rude attitude toward us because there were a group of people from same country as the specific of restaurant is and they didn't treat them like they treat us. We left 5min after them. Time we left 20.22pm, way before their close time showed on google, 9 pm wich they updated. Food is good too shame they treat customers like that. They should've said that kitchen is shut and none of these things would happend

The food was ok but the service absolutely dreadful! We booked for 7 pm and then we had a call saying that they will close at 8 pm so we needed to be there earlier. That was fine. We got there by 6:30 When we arrived we didn't were greeted by anyone just a young lady in the bar who didn't even bothered to indicate where to sit dow. We had to asked. We asked for few beers and water ( that never came). Which I don't really know how they could have forgotten big we were the only table. My husband asked for pork which came very pink and it is dangerous to eat pink pork as you can get meningitis from this.we asked the waitress to put is back on the grill and she said it was not possible. Not explanation whatsoever! I explained why he couldn't eat the pork that way but she didn't care, just said ok! He couldn't finish his meal but it was charged full price anyway. Then we were given the bill and it was 7:45 and they started to turn off the lights and the waitress was kind of rude when we were paying the bill. The most shocking service I ever had, for sure not coming back again!

I don't know where to start, so the soup in the bread brilliant. Dumplings very nice,pork shank (£19.50) f. . ing massive. And brilliant. We had 2 soups in the bread,bottle of mid range wine, two mains and small side and paid £70. Not bad as I can't move now sooo full up. We will be back definitely..

Waste of time, food not tasty, place not very pleasant. I'm surprised because we went on the recommendation of friends and yet it turned out to be a disaster. I do not recommend.

Nice ambience, amazing food, it was my second time there. My in lows ordered devolay and they literally swallowed it. Apple Cake took them two minutes to finish. They loved it too. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Not only for polish people. Toilet could be a little bit more clean, otherwise great place.
