Great place for a coffee or traditional scottish breakfast. Great food good price very friendly staff. Will be coming back regularly.

Good place for a fried egg roll. If we're passing, it's nice to stop! They also have some gifty things and (very nice) biscuits and cook at home things and other stuff for sale so it's worth having a look for more than just a snack or meal. They're nice too :) Not sure if dogs allowed as only ever had takeaway. Would expect so but you'd have to ask.

It’s ok. The food was nice but the place just lacked something. There is a lot of artificial flowers.

Stopped here by chance. Nice wee place, lovely craft pieces for sale. Sausage roll was tasty, scone was nice and soft. Tea hot and cappuccino was ok. Would go back in if passing.

I don't expect to be walking in to a place where the server is picking at a sore bit on her face then not to wash hands and then pick the salad up with her fingers and placed it in her other hand is absolutely disgusting. £15 wasted it all got chucked.

Chimneys is a great little local cafe, they do delicious soups, sandwiches, cakes etc. We often stop here on our way to St Andrews

Stopped in recently for a breakfast roll. Two delicious, freshly cooked Lorne sausage rolls (a generous 2 slices in each), great service and a lovely chat. Not to forget picking up what is probably the best Lemon Cheese (curd) I've ever had. Highly recommended all round.

Used as a regular rest stop when out for a cycle. Good choice of food, hot and cold drinks at a reasonable price. Polite staff.

We popped here for a coffee whilst out on a cycle run. Ended up not going in as there was sign saying card payments are £5 or above. I totally respect the business owner for this and not complaining. It can however put some people off going in as fewer people carrying cash on them now. I realise they will have bank charges but it may be something to consider. Good place for a stop if you are heading to St Andrews or the surrounding area. Just make sure you have cash or planning to buy more than a coffee like myself.

Great coffee, nice food , pleasant atmosphere, lots of nice items on sale inside.

Usually have take away roll from here very tasty well priced. Sadly this beautiful shop has changed hands and not for the better. Called in recently no atmosphere, no lovely aromas of cooking coming from the kitchen. First thought after seeing unfamiliar staff was to walk away stupidly I stayed. Asked for a brown baguette none available, again thought about walking out again I stayed, big mistake. Settled on a brown roll, as always asked for a small spoonful of coleslaw told this would cost a £1 as now a filling not a side. Decided to give them one last chance Never Again ! When I got home found roll had a miniscule amount of chicken filling never been so disappointed what was once a beautiful, lovely shop, where I could guarantee getting a fully filled roll or baguette has gone. Will never return and would not recommend it to anyone, would happily have given zero rating if available.

Good breakfast stop on morning journey through Fife. Very good cappuccino and latte. Seems popular for take away food and drinks.

I am a fairly regular visitor to White Chimneys, and have always been very happy with both the service and food. However, yesterday I went in with my grandchildren for lunch and ended up waiting 20 minutes without the waitress even acknowledging we were there. I don't mind waiting my turn when things are busy, but watching the waitress work, there appeared to be a real lack of awareness of what was going on around her. A man who came in quite a while after us and had initially been standing at the takeaway counter but then sat down and was served immediately. We walked out at that point and the waitress didn't even look up as we got up from the table. An elderly couple who had come in about 5 minutes after us left a few minutes after us. The result for the cafe was a loss of income for 5 people's lunches, but how many more people have walked out because they have been totally ignored?Definitely not the level of service I have experienced over the past few years. What a difference one member of staff can make.

What a beautiful little village cafe, enjoyed breakfast except the smoked bacon, optional non smoked would be good. Staff were kind of half visitor friendly not sure if was because were welsh

Just collected a coffee in my own takeaway cup but that was no problem and the coffee tasted good. Food certainly looked excellent and I am sure I will try it sometime.

Nice ,& clean but my prawn mayo bun was not made with proper fresh Juicy prawns so it was a let down!

Stopped in for a cup of tea and a sandwich, nice tidy little cafe/tea room lots of choice and great service.

Went for a quick lunch before a wedding this past weekend, lovely filled rolls, great coffee and wonderfully friendly staff. Took some home made steak pies home which were delicious and well worth the visit. Will definitely go again.

Fantastic value and quality. I ordered a black pudding and fried egg baguette and it was superb, could not have been better. My wife and the soup and pudding, home made lentil soup with bread and apple and balckberry pudding with custurd. She was delighted. Together with tea for two it came to just over £11. Very good.

I ate here while on a Business trip to Dundee, I was rather hungry and I must say the food was excellent.
