We have started to use this coffee shop on a regular basis, and we are very impressed. Fresh tea, gorgeous hot chocolate and amazing cake! My husband loves their Lemon Meringue and today, I had warm Bakewell Tart with cream. Excellent value for money too.

Lovely cup of tea. The staff were very helpful & friendly. However, as I can't have dairy, I was disappointed that there were no cakes I could eat. My husband said his flapjack was delicious. The place was very clean. We will visit again.

The food was acceptable if not brilliant - my issue was that the lady who brought the food to our table had a terrible personal hygiene problem which was a distraction not a place we will return to

Not local, needed a lunch - 2 mums and 2 kids. Very welcoming, friendly and inclusive. All had baguettes with 1 portion of chips to share, lots of options of fillings. Food was lovely, plenty of tasty filling on each one and a good salad. Service was very good, Nothing was too much trouble, I asked to change an option, better suggestion was made, happily boxed up half of an uneaten baguette so as not to waste food - cafe was very clean including an immaculate washroom. Cake selection also looked impressive - maybe next time !

1st visit today for breakfast there was 4 of us and to be honest we won't be returning, Tinned mushrooms (vile),never tasted sausage like it absolutely disgusting I would even go as far to say its not pork sausage ,bacon was hard and the coffee tasted cheap,you might want to look at the produce which you use its very cheap and nasty,

Decided to visit Bridgenorth as a stopping point for lunch on our way to Chester. Found this lovely cafe, looked very busy and inviting. Prices were good, friendly people. Ordered Bacon and Brie Baguette and Jacket Potato. When it arrived was amazing, colourful, very well presented and very tasty. Thank you.

We went for a morning coffee here today - not one of our usual places, but we thought we'd give it a whirl. Pleasant enough atmosphere and fairly busy. However, the cappuccinos that we were given were really bad - the worst I have EVER had in the UK. They were watery and tasted as though the milk was off. We didn't finish them. My husband mentioned the poor quality when he was paying. Good service, however.

Very nice Friday lunchtime stop. Cafe was busy, but quick, pleasant and efficient service. Had the club sandwich and a cappuccino, which were both filling and enjoyable. Will certainly return when in the area again.

Please when asked a question regarding your food be honest, I asked are your mushrooms fresh or tinned I was told fresh ..Clearly they are tinned mushrooms..my renal problem means I have to be careful with my sodium intake. Needless to say we will not be back, if you cannot be honest regarding your food products then I dread to think what would happen if it was a serious food allergy.

Absolutely gorgeous food, so much variety it catered to everyone's tastes, not one piece of food was left at the end which is testament to the yumminess!! Thank you to Emma and Emily for making the food and taking the pressure off us so we could enjoy our son's christening day ♥️

This was our choice for Lunch; my wife and I were bushwhacked after an horrendous 2.25hr journey from Shrewsbury due to roadworks, and the shop we wanted to visit was closed all day Wednesday!! So we didn't want anything else to go wrong, and it didn't. The Lunch comprising a bacon and cheese baguette with a (huge) salad garnish and chips -- all beautifully presented. The pot of tea for two, (when allowed to stand awhile) was lovely. The service was courteous and friendly. We will definitely go again in spite of our nightmare journey getting there on that occasion. Don't be put off by any of the poor Reviews you may have read already....

Hands down the worst Cafe/Coffee shop I've ever been to. Tinned mushrooms looked and tasted like they'd been chewed up and spat out three times before. Nothing is fresh, eggs were hard and tomato's were not cooked at all. Coffee had grounds floating in it and was very weak and watery. Bad atmosphere, unfriendly staff. Will advise everyone not to go. Bad coffee, clearly not properly trained baristas. The breakfast was very poor. Tinned mushrooms that looked like anaemic slugs, hard yolk on the overcooked eggs, bland sausage and bacon and supermarket bread. The only upside was the sautéed potatoes that come with the vegetarian breakfast, but they're an extra charge if you want them with a regular breakfast. The positive reviews here must be from folk who formed their opinion of a good breakfast back in the 70s.

Worst cappuccino I have ever had. Who would have thought you could spectacularly get a cappuccino wrong now days? I couldn’t manage more than 2 sips of this watery, flavourless muck. Even the chocolate sprinkles were cheap. I would not recommend this cafe at all....

Probably the worst Cappuccino and Americano we've ever had. The Cappuccino was like a frothy milky powdered Nescafe instant coffee. I'm sure they realised when the cups were cleared as we'd barely touched them. On the plus side friendly staff and immaculately clean loos.

Great lunch had a meal here with my Dad last week and the social distancing was great and food delivered quickly and fresh. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints it is good food at a great price.

We travelled by train on the SVR and having enjoyed a stroll around the castle grounds, made our way to the coffee house. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed our lunches. A lovely place for a quick lunch or brunch. My potato wedges were perfect, and the salad generous and not just green leaves. The omelette was well cooked, and drinks perfect. In fact it all was do good we had cake too! I recommend the coffee cake, real coffee taste and not piles of icing. Plus honesty ...My friend left her expensive camera behind, it was well looked after by the staff until we returned for it. The only niggle is the seating. The tables are quite small if there were 4 of you, and some had bench seating. But if you get a good seat, go for it!

Called in on Saturday last for a late breakfast. They do not accept any debit cards only cash!The breakfast was large enough to feed a giant. Many rashers of well cooked bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms etc. Certainly well worth the money, We had Coffee along with the meal. All in all a very good breakfast with hard working staff.

I had a tuna sandwich and my husband had a cheese and onion toastie. We ordered a side dish of chips to share.Both dishes came with a side salad and some crisps.The food was excellent and plentiful. Based on previous reviews my son and I chose the Whitburn coffee house for breakfast on a visit to Bridgnorth on Friday. It was blatantly obvious how to order (pick a table,choose what you want, go to the counter, your choice is then brought to your table). Great breakfast, though neither of us liked the mushrooms. Excellent pot of tea. Well worth a visit.

Called in and ordered Full English Breakfast. The lady that took my order was very sour and non communicative and assumed I knew ‘the process’ re ordering and delivery to my table.Anyway, after a seemingly long time (and it was NOT busy) she brought it to my table. Again, no comments or explanation of delay.The breakfast was fine, as was the pot of tea. Bacon, eggs, baked beans, mushroom, black pudding and tomato, as well as toast, butter and marmalade. Very enjoyable.The environment was warm and cosy, quiet and relaxing with the only negative being the manner of the lady that served me.Disappointing.

Visited this establishment on the off chance as I had my dog with me and I was delighted to find it was dog friendly even to offering some tasty treats and fresh water.Ordered full English and a coffee and it was all absolutely brilliant, extra hot milk for the coffee and well presented very tasty breakfast indeed. There is also a pleasant seating area outside at the rear which isn't apparent from the front...... only very minor niggle (possible suggestion to make the breakfast just about perfect ).....the mushrooms served with the breakfast were out of a tin and were OK but fresh ones would have been better.Marmalade with the toast was spot on though and I look forward to visiting again soon and thoroughly recommend the establishment.All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

This was our first visit to Bridgnorth; we were desperate for a coffee, so popped in here for a drink and snack. We found we could take the dog in too, rather than sit in the mall outside area which was a bonus.Its not high end eating, but a decent hot chocolate and sausage and bacon sandwich. The "excellent" rating is down to the staff, friendly helpful, efficient and welcoming to my wife, me and the dog, Nothing was too much trouble.Good service & a clean toilet, very homely. Thank you.

Popped into this coffee house today Saturday 23/02/2019 for a coffee and snack, we were very pleased we had chosen this coffee house, it was lovely and welcoming as we walked in. The ambience was one of good old fashioned values, the seating area was lovely and comfortable, right by the radiator and people were happy and chatting away, not whispering like some places you feel you cannot talk in case of breaking the silence in the room. We had lovely fresh tea (with tea strainer} and lovely hot apple pie and ice cream, we had a very pleasant afternoon . Thank you to all the staff.

We usually make for this cafe when in Bridgnorth, Always busy but can normally find a table, I think there is an outdoor seating area as well if the weather is good. Don't expect any frills but service is efficient and food is very good value. Normally have a baguette which are crammed with filling. Popular for breakfast.

First time in Bridgnorth and popped in here for a bit to eat at lunchtime. What a find, very friendly and efficient service. Both my wife and I had a Brie and Bacon Bagette absolutely crammed, the best we have had. If you what a snack do not miss this place.

Selected hot baguettes with salad, which were more competitively priced than many pubs in town. This was around 3pm and a very late lunch! They were delicious, although the side salads left much to be desired. Lovely staff and excellent service.

As on previous visits, top notch cafe food, served by friendly, attentive waitresses. Generous portions too. The basics of coffee and tea similarly varied and of good quality. So why drop from 5 stars to 4? Simply because no credit or debit cards are accepted: it's cash only, even for a meal for four costing almost £30. I had to temporarily borrow money from the friends we were entertaining to lunch - very embarrassing and really not acceptable in 2018.

Visited here for fist time and found it to be clean and spacious with an outside seating area .Food prepared upon ordering and was very good .For those with large appetites there was home made cakes on offer. Would recommend full English breakfast and omelettes .

Although we go to Bridgnorth quite regularly has never tried this place. Went in twice on 22nd July -once for coffee and then returned later for lunch as the food looked so nice. Four of us ate lunch , various baguettes all arrived with a variety of salad . Large baguettes loaded with meat and cheese . We could have shared. Ordered one portion of chips between us and we couldn’t eat then. Great big pot of tea made with real tea leaves. Absolutely lovely! We will definitely be going back!!

I wanted a sandwich to take quickly to the hairdressers and popped in here. The staff were very efficient and my freshly made sandwich was wrapped beautifully in foil. It was bursting with the filling which was great!

When ever we come into town early and decide to have breakfast we choose Whitburn Coffee House over everywhere else. The staff are lovely, all the food is cooked in the open kitchen, the place is kept very clean and the meal is delicious and plentiful.

We arrived in Bridgnorth wanting a hearty breakfast and Whitburn coffee house didn't disappoint, and for a great price too! I had an "All 3" baguette (egg, sausage and bacon) which was Devine - nothing fussy and was very plentiful - whilst my partner had a veggie breakfast which looked lovely too. Homemade cakes looked amazing, we've got some to go so look forward to eating that later! Lovely quaint decor and lots of seating, thanks to the Whitburn staff who're all very friendly!

The Whitburn has had a makeover. Comfier chairs, smarter decor, but still the same excellent snacks and light meals, plus cakes and coffee. Great value, friendly service and free wifi. Unbeatable!

Called in here for lunch whilst shopping in Bridgnorth. Tucked away down a side street, I was amazed how big it was inside. Plenty of comfy seating and clean bathroom. Ordered the ham and cheese omelette and salad. It arrived promptly and was huge. Absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked eggs with very generous filling. Good value.

The service was pretty prompt and the food was good not the best coffee I've had but it was OK. I certainly wouldn't drive all the way here just four this cafe, but if you are here anyway then it is good enough to satisfy most people.

I ordered a jacket potato and a good-sized portion with a tasty side salad, great value for money. All the food looked good arriving at other tables too. Arrived in Brignorth to find a street festival underway.Needed setting up for the day and found the Whitburn coffee house just off the high street.Brilliant service and a great breakfast.£5.10 for 3 bacon, 3 sausage beans tomatoes mushrooms and toast. It also comes with eggs but I don't do eggs.£1.60 for a Cappuccino really good food and service would definitely recommend.

We used this place on a Saturday morning, the place was really busy with an open plan kitchen, so this place has nothing to hide.Scrambled Eggs on toast and a breakfast sandwich served up so quickly and really hot. We were in Bridgnorth on Sunday morning and decided to treat ourselves to a late breakfast. We have been here several times and it never disappoints! The new décor is great and as ever the service was friendly and efficient. You always get really good value for money here and there are no stingy portions always generous! Plenty of choice whether you are looking for a breakfast, lunch or just a coffee and cake. Small outside seating area and clean little toilet should you need it. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the town but as its so good it can get busy. Will look forward to popping in again soon.

I have put a few good reviews about Whitburn cafe food is still good but I think they now buy cheap coffee, anyway this morning one of the girls a blonde was so miserableit caused an atmosphere and to make her worse a chap spilled his coffee she didn't complain but if you had seen her face the man should of turned to salt on the spot.We have all seen accidents and normally they just get you another drink and every body is happy not this gal charged to fellow for his mistake that's bad enough but as the couple left there said thank you nobody looked up to acknowledge them so that made them feel worse they looked it,I will have to think again about this cafe there is no shortage of places to get a cup of coffee in Bridgnorth.

We found this lovely little coffee house on a recent stopover in Bridgnorth by pure chance but were well pleased that we did. It's just of the main high street that runs through the town that you pass on the way to/from the Sainsbury's car park. The food is good English fayre with special emphasise on the bacon butties and bacon and eggs. The coffee is also very good and much more reasonably priced than the main "brand" coffee shops. They also supply newspapers to read

We called in for lunch after travelling by train from Kidderminster. The choices were varied and the specials listed gave an excellent addition. The homemade tomato soup was delicious.

Down to earth simple food, nothing to shout about, but enough options to select from. Went there with three others, each of us selected a different option off the menu, and we were all very happy with our meals. All freshly prepared, and portions that were more than enough. Good honest food, no hesitation in recommending this place.

Second time we have been in this café. Really quaint décor. Very English. Good choice of hot and cold food from snacks to a full English breakfast provided throughout the day, not just until midday! Would like to have fresh mushrooms, not tinned - would pay extra for this as I'm sure most would. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Coffee was good quality, freshly ground on site and good quality. Can be a little cool if sitting by the door on a cold winter morning, otherwise lovely place to eat and extremely reasonable.

I gest been to this restaurant. Was the second time. First time brilliant. Nice omleta with becon. Today was a nightmare. I order 1 full English breakfast, 2 bruscheta with becon 3.70 pounds each and to milk shakes. They gave the milk shake for me to take to table. When the food arrive I recive the full english breakfast and suprice for me, some becon an top a 2 bruscheta and that was everything. The suprise was because the other day when I was in, they gave me salad with omleta and becon so I wasn't expect only becon with bread for 3.7 pounds with out any ketchup, salad or somthing. I order after 1 tomato with some cheese olmost 2 pounds in top. The lady from the till didn't explain enithing to me before tax me. It was not the best customer service. We didn't have any tissue or condiments on the table, they didn't offer I asked for it. The big thing arrive when I did asked for two slice of bread. Suprise she tax like for cakes 1.6 pounds. When I did ask whay ? In the manu are cup of penny for one more bruscheta she answer to me that I didn't order from first so it is 1.6 pounds for two slide of white bread. That spoiled my evening. I will never come back to this restourante. Poor customer service and unprofessional staff spoiled my evening.

Cannot recommend this cafe enough, we come once a week and have to say they do the best omelettes for miles around! Food is excellent, all freshly cooked and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming.
