west bars fish chips &pizzas in Chesterfield

Ordered a take away. Food arrived hot and fresh. Yorkshire fish cakes and fish were lovely. Would definitely order from here again.

First class fish and chips, prompt delivery, would recommend to anybody,peas and curry an absolute must

Chicken kebab was absolutely disgusting. Specified breast meat. Chicken was full of fat, stringy, over cooked, meant to be marinated but basically could only taste charcoal. Had two bites and binned. 100% the worst kebab I’ve ever had. I was hungry so had it been half decent would have tried to eat it but was foul.

Arrived quickly, the food was satisfyingly hot. The batter on the cod was nice and crispy and the chips were generous! Would recommend!

Just had the worst meal ever in my 69 years, fish not cooked and terrible smell, chips only fit to feed the birds (poor birds) how are such disgusting places allowed to do business, avoid at all cost.

disgusting, food had a rotten smell coming from it,the chicken burger was all fat no meat and undercooked, the onion rings were cold and soggy and the coleslaw was sour and runny, do not reccomend!

Ordered food off just eat, they took my money out of my account then didn't confirm the order. They took so long to confirm order that just eat had to call them to find out what they were doing. I tried to call them up but they provided a fake number. They then cancelled my order but I'm yet to be refunded then changed their page on just eat to "restaurant closed". I'm not £20 down and flippin starving. 😭

Placed a order this was delivered quickly by a friendly person. That is about the only good point the chips were going cold, refried yet some how some still not cooked fully. The "hodog" is a sausage cod not a hotdog. The burgers are full of grease. Whole family still a little hungry as we're not about to eat a lot of the food. Really hoped this was going yo be better then the old Westbars chip but sadly it is some how worse.

If you enjoy a dirty shop, ignorant and disinterested staff, food cooked to order because they've run out of everything AND you enjoy paying over the odds for average fare .... this is place for you. I've been going there since 1991, the Cypriot family sold up and some amateur clowns took over. I've walked out twice since they took over, once because I was not even acknowledged, tonight because they didn't even tell me there would be a long wait because there were no chips. That's right, a chip shop with no chips. Pathetic excuse for customer service.

Forget about all the other reviews this place has been taken over and I’ve just waited 5 mins for a mini fish that was smaller than a minnow only to get home and they’ve forgotten the peas and the 30ish chips are refried rammel. Fed it to the dog then felt sorry for him ffs how hard is mini fish chips & peas??

For years I have wanted a chippy that delivers and now my prayers have been answered! Apart from using sesame seed burger buns for chip buttys, I have no complaints!

This was a happy accident of a stop off. Chesterfield doesn't offer much in the way of late night dinning! But this place was open , welcoming and the fish and chip were great. I'd go as far as to say that the batter was heavenly, with hot fresh cod that melted in the mouth. If I find myself that way again I will return, mouth watering just thinking about it.

After a night out at the cinema we headed into town to get something to eat, but didn't fancy any of the usual fast food venues on West Bars. We'd never been here before, but looked pleasant and with cafe style seating inside. We ordered chip butty, kebab and chicken strips for the kids. Good service and food tasted really nice.

As I remember fish and chips! Enormous haddock, traditional batter and proper tasty chips. Friendly owners and great service. Pizzas a treat too! Be warned though - portion sizes are for the very hungry!
