THE worst fish and chips I've ever had. Even my children, who were hungry and love chips, stopped eating after a few bites. We threw most of it away because it was literally inedible.

Placed order then waited five minutes for order chips just out fryer fish cooked to order out of fryer at same time. Drove five miles back to home and fish and chips still hot. Highly recommend 👌

Used to come here all the time and it was amazing. Obviously have been affected by the cost of living crisis, but £27.50 for two fish and chips, peas and curry sauce is outrageous. Portion size was enough to feed 4 people, so maybe fix that and bring the prices back down.... large curry sauce wasn't enough to even cover the food, equated to about 5 tablespoons. Not sure if under new management but the fish was overly greasy. Chips were good but that's about it. Service was good an store was friendly. But sadly won't be returning.

Rip off price for average food. A tenner for a portion of fish and chips! They make you stand outside in the cold for ages just to add insult to injury! Won’t be returning without a mask!

Worsty chipp. Sat in queu for 5 mins with 4 people behind the till and only one serving. Eventually left.

Have visited here like other f+ch shops in Ruthin for over 50 years,As some one else said i call here the "hit and miss shop.On my last visit I was given flat horrible stale flat fish,and tasteless soggy chips,do'nt like putting food in the bin but I HAD TO ! Dissapointed because my previous visit was good and tasty,the way I like fish and chips to be.Had good tasty scampi there better buy and bargin perhaps ! i Would only recomend here with a hit and miss warning !

Stop here after taking my granddaughter swimming. Have to say best fish and chips I've had for a while. The service was also excellent.

Just had fish and chips here very expensive. chips like under cooked cardboard and I've had fish fingers with more fish in. Not recommended poor show chaps

We ordered chips and chicken 2x and also fish and chips 1x last friday night. The food arrived very quickly after we ordered which we were surprised at this ,food was disgusting the chicken tasted like several days old and re heated cardboard the chips was horrible, the only tasted okay was the buttered fish.... very expensive meals we throw most of it away in the bin.... not highly recommended , very disappointed 😔

Always good fish but chips occasionally need a bit longer. Double frying the chips would definitely be an improvement. Southern fried chicken is tasty and not greasy. Gravy, curry sauce peas etc always good.

Maybe fresh it would be ok but l ordered and collected and the chips were soggy,the bottom of the fish batter was to hard to cut! Though the actual fish was ok

After walking Snowdonia today we were ravenous and l can honestly say these were the most disgusting tasting Chips we have ever eaten. I had SFC & Chips, Daughter and partner had Sausage and Chips, We literally ate a few mouthfuls and binned the lot. Service also very poor, Staff unfriendly.

Lovely clean, fish and chip shop. Very friendly owner, I had chicken and chips and they where lovely, hot out the wrappers. They sell all usual stuff, drinks, baps and sauces ect....

Wern Fechan Fish & Chip Shop on the street of the same name on Ruthin's south side is one of three chip shops in Ruthin. This is the only one on this side of town and uses its fully specified deep frying range to offer the variety one expects from a typical fish and chip shop. Parking is adequate during the hours people usually frequent a chip shop, and food is served in a timely fashion.

Nice friendly chippy that has a great selection, isn't over priced and does everything you expect nice and quick. The owner is pleasant to chat to, it takes card payment which is handy and the food tastes great.

Chips are stale ..like yesterdays warm ups £3.40 for a large chips & beans only to take 3 mouth full and throw away .. I do not recommend at all .!! Stay clear .

Manager and staff was friendly, However the food was a disaster. I don't know where to start. Chips weren't cooked properly some overdone and others underdone like solid in the middle. The ladels for sauses looked horrible like it was standing like They were standing for hours. And the sausage was another story. The floor of the room was covered in chips. Additionally the gravy was tasteless. Lastly their was no food. Not recommend!!

The owner has a disgusting attitude. My friend ordered food and I said that's expsencive and the owner got all defensive calling me all sorts of names trying to get me to kick-off pointing at the cameras laughing at me.. an absolute idiot, silly old man
