What time do you need to order anything to get it delivered in a reasonable timescale.

Having ordered our dinner from this place we are annoyed and will never use them again.I had a.special fish supper the fish was warm but chips were cold and hard,also the forgot part of the order took almost an hour to get the missing food even though they were told it was for a six.year old child.Terrible service and attitude,what makes it worse this shop does not take the time to reach out to dissatisfied customers £32 waste of money.

still waiting on food and u said it was delivered . not good enough

delivery sent word saying it was on way. I had 2 contact them 30min later to say it still hadn't arrived. meal was sub standard. the chips were tiny & crispy.

They called us and said that they had run out of the breaded mushrooms so we need a refund for them 4.95 how do I get the refund

Normally food is very fresh. Chips were very soggy as was the fish batter. Seemed to have been out being delivered for quite a while in the polystyrene container making everything soggy. Not the usual standard from this place

Top quality fish delivered hot and on time

Put special req on order notes for no batter and both came covered in it. Both went straight in bin. Waste of money

Absolutely stone cold the chips chesse and curry had clearly been sat for ages the pizza crunch was just soggy not a single bit of crunch fritters had a slight heat in them the halloumi sticks were stone cold wont be back here again waste of £23

Originally placed order for 6pm but this time was pushed back till 6.20pm. Didn’t actually arrive until 6:45pm. Very rare for this to happen so there must have been something unforeseen to cause it. Quality however was fantastic. Really cannot fault the quality or quantity. Will order again.

food was rotten, cold and back heat!!

The food was cold and full of grease. Looks like it been removed from the fryer too soon and not left to drain properly. It's a shame because the food and service from here is usually first class and is one of the best in Kilmarnock 😞

Half pizza was soggy and all cheese had leaked off onto the chips, chips and cheese where good but half pizza supper went in bin as inedible

Normally the food is good, but this time the fried pizza was soggy as if the oil wasn't warm enough, grease was dripping from it. Chips were fine. I'm still giving 4 stars as usually food is good.

absolutely brilliant meal tonight. piping hot. 2 massive hamburgers in the supper and my son said his special fish was fantastic. the chips are the best chips we have had in a long time . thanks guys and a merry Christmas to you all when it comes 🎄🎅🎄🎅

I called the shop to query where the order was I was told it was out delivery, I called back 25 minutes later and was told the same, the order was out for delivery. This was not the truth based on the delivery drivers pick up time of my food !!

Shocking service - food was two hours late so had to cancel. Repeatedly told we were the next stop and driver was 5 minutes away. Won’t be ordering again

By the time I got home chips were stone cold,fish was alright. Disappointed as normally the quality of the food from here is excellent.

Ordered at 6pm. Understandable they are busy. Food arrived at 7.40 and was cold. Curry sauce congealed as it was cold and had to put food in microwave to heat up

Anytime I'm in Kilmarnock late in the afternoon and fancy a chippy tea, the Welbeck is my go to; amiable staff, great quality food at very reasonable prices. Batter on fish; nice and crispy, chips; crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and arent saturated in grease. They use mattessons smoked sausage, always get mine in batter. Chips and curry sauce really tasty. Yet to try the black pudding and haggis. They also serve macaroni, burgers, hot and cold beverages and cakes, if you want a sweet treat. In my opinion, the best chip shop in Ayrshire. Used to be just a takeaway, but since they had refurbished it, you can dine in.

Ordered food just before 6. Delivery time was already quoted as being quite long, however was pushed back twice. Food finally arrived nearly 2 hours after order placed. Thankfully food was of a very good quality. But arriving at 7.45 is way too late.

This is the first time trying this chippy as heard so much about it...i got kids fish goujons supper that was really nice & fresh....single sausage was great & a ½ single chicken crispy & it was cooked realy well...the batter is to die for & it only took 20/25 minutes so 👊👏 from me it's realy worth the money trust me 👍

The fish was boneless which was good however you couldn’t taste any salt or vinegar on any of the meals which was disappointing

We ordered 2 special fish suppers amongst our order, the chips and other food were absolutely fine however the fish was disgusting. It absolutely stank as soon as we broke into it and it tasted off. Attempted to call restaurant but no answer and just eat weee absolutely zero help! At £10 a supper it is not ideal as both mine and husbands dinners have went in the bin! Will never order from here again.

Very disappointed on this occasion. Food was cold on delivery. Especially with the weather tonight it was clear the food had been lying for some time. Curry sauce was almost set! Sausages were definitely pre heats and chewy!

Not happy about the temperature of the food. Driver had gone to wrong address however I think it wasn’t hot when it left the shop. Very disappointing.

The chips were luke warm not hot the mac and cheese was hot as were the smoked sausages. Toppings on cakes were all melted as they were put in the same bag as the hot food.

Never will I order from here again most of the order went in the bin. Mushy peas had a horrible taste to them chips were not enjoyable and fritters was so so tasted better what a waste of £16.

Driver arrived 2020, gave us wrong order. Our order was already given out. Welbeck phoned 2040 about the mix up. Order was going to be remade. Food arrived 2100.

Best chip shop in the town by a country mile ...the staff are so lovely too and so helpful....highly recommend

usually never have a complaint about this place but tonight I fancied a snack. Ordered chips and cheese and some fritters. chips came cold and dry and not even a drop of cheese on them. fritters were okay but also cold.

First time trying this place as our usual was closed. Was absolutely brilliant and might be our new favourite ! The fish was really crispy and the chips were great.

Got a delivery a couple of weeks ago and wasn’t great but decided not to write a review until tried again. So had one tonight and just as bad. Fish seemed dry and the chips were greasy. When the Welbeck reopened a while back it was among the best around, but now it has went downhill quite quickly.

the whole point of a pizza CRUNCH is for the crunch. I don't know how anyone would find it acceptable to send out the chips they did. Mac & cheese was the best out of the almost £23 offer.
