wei lee chinese takeaway in Birmingham

Food is fresh and quality. Not greasy and really tasty. One of the best Chinese takeaways I had.

First time ordering from here and will definitely order when in area next time plenty of meat in the dish and hot on delivery all freshly prepared thank you really enjoyed

(2023/10/24) Finally found this place, it was actually a single kitchen inside the pub as the owner said. You can eat here, of course I mean in the pub not the kitchen. Well since it is indeed a pub, so do expect a lot of people drinking and chatting very loudly there. The service was excellent, warm and fast. Now the key point, food. The quality was good, slightly above average for a Chinese takeaway. But the prices though fit the quality, were higher than average and not cheap honestly. I did expect some special offers for Dine-In or Takeaway, but there was no such thing apart from the Delivery prices. I know a restaurant nearby that provides similar dishes with a little bit higher prices but better quality so, you know the trade-off. (2023/10/19) Just passed by Bath Street but did not even find this place. Maybe it is Delivery Only? But it looks like they also provide Dine-In and Takeaway services. Thanks to the reply from the owner, will have another visit later.

Never written a review for a Chinese however, Wei Lee did not disappoint. Possibly one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve had, the food was amazing and the service was brilliant. We went for the Mega Munch Box and it was sensational. Next time we visit Birmingham, we will definitely be returning customers !

We stayed over in Birmingham for an event and really fancied a proper Chinese takeaway, after spending a while looking and reading reviews we decided to take the risk with this takeaway despite the very few reviews, tbh it was probably their photos that sold me, I really appreciate it when they use their own photos and not ones from Google, we ordered the salt and pepper Chinese box and honestly it was beautiful, everything was spot on, some of the best curry sauce we’ve ever had, the chicken was amazing (we did swap the balls for shredded) and I’m a little funny with meat but it was perfect, the only downfall was that the ribs weren’t amazing, they tasted lovely but some were just a lot of fat or nothing on them at all, besides that it was one of the best Chinese’ we’ve had and we have had a lot of Chinese!!! Deffo recommend this place😍

I got the fried rice and the Mongolian duck and they were both really tasty. Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable. They also gave me free prawn crackers. I’ll definitely order from them again :)
