Lovely very friendly co operative cafe in the middle of the feted shopping centre of Risca. Coffee was delicious and my brother’s bacon sandwich was superb, and served almost instantaneously. Very attentive staff and a very pleasant atmosphere all round. Well worth a visit.

Really enjoyed our visit, friendly attentive staff , coronation chicken jacket with coleslaw salad tortillas really nice, as was my red pepper soup served with roll butter and garnish, 2 good coffee served with added touch coaster and biscuit all for £16.50 excellent value for five stars class food and drinks.

First visit for a lunch , ordered 2 Jacket potatoes with tuna mayo , coleslaw and salad with 2 americano coffees. On ordering i gave in a loyalty card after a previous visit where id just had a cup of tea and cake . Was given one stamp..had to ask if i was entitled to 2 stamps having purchased 2 cups of coffee. The food was brought to the table where myself and my friend felt the plates were not far short of thrown onto the table. The jacket potatoes 🥔 on both dinners were barely warm , and the coleslaw had no dressing (so basically dry chopped up carrots and cabbage) very unappealing 😞 Both coffees were barely warm even though my friend had asked for hot milk. I mentioned to the young waitress that the potato wasn’t hot and the fact the coleslaw had no dressing. She told me she was going to mention it to the staff concerned. However she didn’t return. We both left part of our meal and when another waitress collected our plates i did say id mentioned our dissatisfaction with the meal, to be told they had ran out of mayo when making the coleslaw 😳🤦‍♀️ yet we were served mayo as a side dressing 🤯 and was told that the thermometer may need calibrating no mention of any form of reimbursement or gesture of goodwill. We originally were planning on having a cake and coffee afterwards, however in our dissatisfaction we left feeling disappointed by our experience at the Snug in Risca when paying just over £18 for a snack and coffee for 2 we expect better food/ service.

Great place to go. Selection of seating arrangements to suit various tastes. Fabulous ambiance and nice small selection of food on the menu. The Snug cafe supports the local community and has been run by volunteers.

Really like this community run Coffee House. Excellent service, great coffee and some really delicious cakes. Give it a try!

The latte art is like something you only see in the starbucks. So much care and attention to detail inside. To combine a coffee shop with a food pantry is nothing short of genius, talk about guilt free coffee and cake when every penny goes back in to the community. The prices are low but the quality is very high. Hard to believe that most of the staff are volunteers when the standard is so high. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

Popped in for a spot of lunch and I have to recommend the Pulled Pork roll with Apple sauce and stuffing. My God it is the bomb. I have never been one for Apple Sauce with meat, but this has turned my fussiness around. I have never tasted anything like it before 🤤. I've tried the bacon double cheese burger which is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend to anyone passing to pop in and give one of the specials a try. You will not be disappointed
