Waterfall Cafe in Islington

I'm afraid this takeaway doesn't make the grade. I thought it was overpriced for the amount you get and its quality. The chips especially were poor. A better option awaits you next door...

Llegué aquí tarde en la noche y tomé algo de comida sabrosa. Sin duda recomendaría la envoltura halloumi! ¡Es un negocio familiar y se preocupan por sus clientes! Nos ofrecieron té y baklava al final de nuestra comida, que era tan sabroso! Gracias ! !

El viernes 14 de junio, mi compañero y yo decidimos salir a comer algo y descubrir dónde queríamos comer ya no se adaptaba a nuestros gustos, así que nos subimos a un autobús en la carretera Holloway y decidimos que no queríamos Burger. o pollo y papas fritas. Mirando alrededor nos dejó con casi una selección de 3 lugares. Ninguno de los dos sabía cómo es la comida libanesa, por lo que se descartó debido a la ignorancia. Esto dejó 2 restaurantes turcos Krystle o cascadas. Mi jefe lo sigue diciendo que Krystle es fantástico, maravilloso, etc. Es un partidario tanto que resultó decisivo en mi elección de ir a Waterfall. La decoración es interesante y casi exactamente lo que se puede esperar de un restaurante turco. Las mejores mesas están en la parte de atrás y creo que pudimos haber tenido la mejor mesa que está en la piscina de peces cubierta. Para empezar tuve el Tama (que era como se esperaba Taramasalata) mientras que mi compañero tenía maltratados anillos de calamares y un par de otros platos fueron agregados por el propio restaurante. Aunque el Tama sabía bien, no estaba hecho en casa y parecía ser "demasiado rosa" Compartimos nuestros platos y mi amigo tenía la misma opinión de la Tama. Sus calamares estaban bien cocinados, pero los 3 anillos de calamares que se servían sobre una cama de lechuga (sin tomates) eran simplemente perezosos. Para nuestros platos principales, ambos elegimos el Lamb Doner & Chips. Bien cocinado pero sólo un doner claramente promedio. Para las bebidas los dos teníamos Pepsi con nuestra comida. Terminamos la comida ordenando un té turco que era muy refrescante, pero como dijo mi compañero, hubiera sido mejor si el té hubiera estado muy caliente. En general, fue una buena comida a un precio razonable. ¿Iríamos de nuevo? Tal vez, no estamos muy seguros en este momento.

La carne era muy sabrosa! Teníamos la parrillada mixta con arroz, la carne era tierna y llena de sabor. Nos dieron buenos extras gratuitos como ensalada y algo dulce con nuestro té. El personal era agradable y amable. Un lugar realmente subestimado, uno de ellos gemas ocultas que parece bastante común desde el exterior, pero la comida era de primera calidad.

Vuelve a casa una noche de Islington y me apetecía llevar, me esperaba el típico casa de High street kebab, pero estaba equivocado. . . Parece una casa de High street kebab con una zona de restaurante en la parte trasera, pero eso es todo… excelente personal, el cordero shish kebab era increíble, un montón de ensaladas, pan casero hummus y turco tradicional. Me gusta mi kebab separada y no juntos y fue perfecto. Mi primera casa en el norte de Londres de kebabs.

The meat in here is cooked to perfection as is the rice , the lamb doner is proper lamb not like the elephant legs you get in other kebab shops . My partner is not a lover of kebabs and he thoroughly enjoyed it . Sit in meal for 2 people : Mixed lamb & chicken donor Mixed shish lamb & chicken Salad Basket of delicious pitta bread Choice of 3 dips/sides Salad 2 drinks All for an amazing £20! We both ordered small portions and couldn’t finish our meal Would definitely recommend this place , you won’t be disappointed.

Called in there last weekend after driving past there many times but never stopped as I’m just working in the area and if you don’t know where to park it can be difficult. Anyway,took a chance on parking and walked through the door. This isn’t your average rubbishy kebab shop,this is the finest I’ve ever been in.Totally authentic Turkish food and everyone prepared in front of you. Lamb was real lamb and not some looney likey rubbish as was the chicken. I had mine with rice while my two colleagues had chips.The rice was cooked to perfection,it’s surprising how something so simple can be ruined by not keeping an eye on it during cooking. We had the kebabs in a tray along with a separate container of salad and portions of chilli sauce and mamyonaise. The owner even threw ina large bottle of original coke in for free. All three of us are BIG eaters and I won’t den y,we were all stuffed even when we were only part way through the meal. If you love a kebab,or have never fancied one,just give t his place a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I love this place. It's an excellent kebab shop with delicious meat, friendly service, and fresh salad.

Llegamos un 25 de diciembre a Londres y la ciudad estaba desierta. Nos hospedábamos en la misma calle y era lo único que había abierto. No fue lo mejor de Londres, pero nos hizo el apaño con un servicio muy amable.

Completely ok visit ! Good food. Special thanks for Master Chef Filkri!! ;) I'll come back for sure.

I don't usually review kebab shops but this one is pretty special. Perfectly cooked meat,a fizzing chili sauce and an abundance of salad makes these kebabs pretty special. Not worth an extra special trip, but definitely one for the locals.

I come here a lot for my takeaway dinners. The food is amazing and super friendly service. Would recommend to anyone!

Dinner We left the cinema and decided to have something to eat as it is the only one near there open we thought to give it a go the caffe was empty and the service was slow the food is not fresh the chicken was dry not recommended at all

We went to the Waterfall Cafe as a special treat for my husband's 40th birthday whilst visiting friends in London. We were a fairly large group of 4 adults and 4 children and because of this we were unable to book a table in advance. My friend was advised that they only book out around 30% of the tables in advance so hopefully we would be able to get in on the day. We ended up spending more time sightseeing than we had planned so didn't arrive until around 2pm. This actually worked in our favour as the lunchtime rush was finishing and the queue for the restaurant was small. We were at the front of the queue within 5 minutes and the system of having a greeter who radios down to staff in the restaurant seems to work very well. The greeter asked if we were celebrating a special occasion so we mentioned my husbands birthday and he got a special birthday sticker! There was a table ready for us straightaway so we headed down to the restaurant and were greeted by a waitress who showed us to our table and explained how things worked. Our table was opposite the elephant and next to the gorilla. All around us was greenery and other animals and a beautiful sparkling ceiling. Every so often the lights would dim and the sounds of a thunderstorm would start, then the animals would take it in turns to growl or roar or trumpet! There's a big fish tank in the centre of the restaurant and a waterfall. It really is wonderful.The service was a little slow but it was busy and the staff were friendly and quick to respond if you called them. The children in our party had a set menu. Two had pizza, one macaroni cheese & one a burger. Don't forget to ask for your extra side. It is on the menu but you have to ask or you don't get. Luckily the eldest child in our party had been before so we knew about it. All the kids enjoyed their meals and the pizza looked particularly yummy! The adults ordered from the main menu. Two had the steak burger and two had the cajun chicken sandwich. My husband and I shared our meals. The burger was very tasty and well cooked. The bread it was served in was lovely. The cajun chicken sandwich was even better. Really lovely but at £17 a pop it should be! The kids had dessert included in their set meals and all went for sundaes of some sort. They were a good size and very yummy according to the kids. When they brought the puddings out they had stuck a candle in one of them. The waitress got my husband to stand up and everyone had to sing happy birthday to him and he blew out the candle. He was very disappointed when the candle was removed and the pudding passed to one of the children!! Perhaps if you are going to do the candle in the pudding thing you should actually provide a small pudding to the birthday boy/man. Not borrow a pudding from someone else!!! Overall we did love this place. However, it was the surroundings and the decor that made it for us. The food was good pub grub standard and yes, it was tasty but the prices were extortionate. I am not naive, I know this is central London but this is not somewhere you go for the food. You are paying for the experience and for us it will be a one-off.
