Wasabi Sushi & Bento in City of London, Westminster

I tried japanese food for the first time and was confused what to try at the beginning. I was concerned about how would it be and worried about spoiling my mood i asked a staff member with glasses on for suggestion which was the best thing i have done and other staffs were so welcoming i loved it.

I went around 6:30 in the evening, and the sushi and roll set that costs 22 pounds (40,000 won) was sold at a discount of about 7 pounds (13,000 won), so I bought two and ate them for dinner. It was good.

First visit here and decided to get the Sweet chicken chicken, though I added the red chilies myself for the extra kick! The noodles were decent overall and the chicken was spicy, though personally I am not a fan of the sauce.

The sushi is delicious and fresh, and soups and hot dishes are also available. Prices are reasonable, I recommend you try it.

perfect for a quick grab for lunch especially when you are working around the area. they have variety of food options including wide vegetarian/vegan options. snack, light meals, to rice meals, they have it. I totally love their pumpkin katsu curry. served with rice and greens on the side with the fine kick of curry spice.

Tasty on-the-go and eat-in Japanese food with plenty of hot options at the front shelf. Tends to get incredibly busy with long queues of city workers during lunch time due to being close proximity of walking distance to the Sky Garden and Cheesegrater office buildings but food is fresh each time we come in. Staff seem to work tirelessly and hard constantly to ensure everything is well stocked and presented, tidy, organized and clean throughout the restaurant.

Good if you can’t afford to eat Asian food or if you’re in a rush for your lunch break.

Cibo salutare in bento box. Ottimo per pranzi o cene veloci, per coloro che amano cibo speziato e aromatico. Buona scelta anche per vegetariani.

Wasabi is a popular place to go for a lunch if you like Asian food. I went for the katsu curry which essentially made this place popular. I also went for the chicken gyoza (dumplings). The chicken katsu is pretty much a perfected art. The chicken is breaded and decent but does feel a little mass produced. The rice is sticky and there’s a good balance with the meat. The sauce is delicious and there’s never enough :) I always want more of it! The gyoza wasn’t so great, it’s a bit rubbery compared to high end so I’m not going to give it full marks. I’ve eaten the maki and salmon here in the past and it’s pretty good for something high street and not massively expensive. Overall it’s decent and I will go again

I booked the delivery for 13.20 and it didn't turn up until 13.59. The food was ready at 13.20 and was waiting for the delivery person for over 40 mins. Time kept on creeping up and up and we had guests that missed the lunch due to the lateness of the delivery. I even walked down to the shop to personally collect the food order. The driver collected the 10 mins before I got there, our offices are a 4 min walk from the shop. This is totally unacceptable, very bad service.

The sushi was really excellent although already prepared and in a box. Really good, I recommend! The atmosphere was nice too, very minimalist but efficient, and the employees were nice.

DONT GO HERE. Me and my friend got salmon sushi at like 2 PM on a sunny day here in London ( 20th) and then we started to feel horrible at 8 pm and we were both over the toilet the ENTIRE night. And it was most definitely the sushi that got me sick. Disgusting

Food is great and delicious. However you can end up waiting a lot at the food display for the dish you want as food is constantly served randomly and there’s no queue structure. Last time I had to wait 20mins to grab my food of choice. Tills were quick however.

Wasabi Sushi and Bento offers a fantastic dining experience, especially for vegans. The vegan sushi options are delicious and perfect for takeaway. It's a definite recommendation for those seeking flavorful and satisfying plant-based sushi.

I always have the best experience in this place. Everything is tasty and fresh. Especially recommending the Tom yum soup and the sushi sets.

Lovely Japanese Cutsu Curry which I'm a fan of.. It's a very busy dine in especially if you are caught between 12.30 to 2 PM on Tue, Wed and Thu.. Food is awesome even though the quantity is reduced and price has gone up (but that's due to Inflation at the time of writing), hopefully, it should get better in the coming days. Fingers crossed

Wonderful presentation, survived a 1.7 mile delivery - no too much kelp, but was stingy with condiments and only one set of chopsticks for a meal for four?

Auch wenn die japanische Küche normalerweise nicht so meins ist war mein Katsu Salat war sehr lecker und meine Frau, die sehr gerne Sushi ißt meinte es wäre das beste "Fastfood - Sushi" das sie bisher gegessen hat.

The sweet chili wasabi bento was a delightful surprise. The combination of sweet and spicy flavors, along with the kick of wasabi, created a unique and delicious taste. The bento box presentation was lovely, and the portions were just right. I would definitely order this again for a flavorful meal!

No more toppings, no more spicy sauce. Sad.

Just wish to know before ordering our meal that restroom is out of order in the middle of London.

Nice Wasabi restaurant branch just off Fenchurch street. Ideal location for me as it’s right by my office. Was quick and painless to come here and pick a bento box from the hot shelves and pay up with no queues and minimum fuss. I ordered the tofu curry with rice (my usual) and it was very nice. I’m sure I will be back here for many future lunches. Arigato!

This wasabi branch is the best one yet. What a lovely team and the good just tastes yummier here. Recommend the tomyum soups.

Not recommending Wasabi anymore as we know they’re Japanese food chain restaurants, I got Sweet chilli 🌶 chicken yakisoba on 24th July here at this store & it wasn’t good at all as chicken was too hard (overly over-cooked), yakisoba was not crunchy as how it was before & supposed to be. Totally disappointed 😔 & please be aware.

Very clean place, practical design, and excellent location. You get what you expect here, same good taste every time. It is like a canteen shared with hundreds of strangers, and most customers busy ready their messages while eating. It is a great place for a quick bite in the City.

I usually love Wasabi's sushi, but today I had the Katsu Yakisoba and omg, what a mistake. It was terrible, Katsu was wet and the noodles all broken and soft, no vegetables or whatsoever. Couldn't finish. Please do yourself a favour and dont buy it.

Pretty good fast food sushi. Only thing missing was ginger in my box and for the sushi to be less chilled but really impressive for fast food sushi.

Gave us the wrong items and put the drinks on top of the sushi which squashed and damaged it. Justeat not bothered and was not refunded for it. Don’t bother. Honestly.

Perhaps I am spoiled because of my times in Japan or the fact that we live in Hawai’i, but the bento’s we purchased at Wasabi Sushi & Bento were the worse I have ever eaten. To be honest, I could not finish my Teriyaki Chicken. The meat was flavorless, the rice quite dry and “non-sticky.” The assorted sushi rolls were better, but not by much. We will be a strong pass on future opportunities with this chain.

Super für Veganer, vor allem auch wirklich preiswert und vor allem schnell. Rein, essen, raus in 10 Minuten möglich wenns mal schnell gehen muss. Nur im Gegensatz zu Fast Food lokalen mit merkbar hochwertigem Essen.

I've had sushi and bento in some of their other restaurants and have never been disappointed but this branch gave me food poisoning after having sushi and a chicken bento box (i do not know which one of the two it came from) so be careful next time you dine there.

Para ser un sitio de "sushi rápido", lo cierto es que es buenísimo. Se nota no solo la calidad de los productos, si no todo el sabor de la comida japonesa tanto en los sushis, los rolls y la comida caliente vegana es lo más. Luego los postres mochi y los dorayakis geniales. De precio aceptable. Los dependientes super atentos, amables y preocupados por qué te sientas bien. Si estás en Londres, tienes que pasarte por un Wasabi.

It’s okay… if you’re wanting *amazing* sushi then go elsewhere. Also so annoying that you have to pay extra to eat in- why? Nobody clears up after you. It’s basically McDonalds for sushi 😐

Visited this place for the first time ever and had vegan katsu. Really amazing food and good courteous staff.

Ojalá esta cadena en España. La comida muy buena, caliente y con opciones veganas y vegetarianas espectaculares. Fácil y rápido, además con sitio para sentarte. Lo recomiendo probar a todo el mundo.

Nice value-for-money sushi box for half price (thanks to TooGoodToGo after 7.30 pm). Patient and friendly staff as well 😁 I got the salmon nigiri with assorted mixed rolls for about 3 pounds, so wonderful starter.

I said I’ll dine in and asked for chopsticks. He gave me paper bag for take out, and fork and spoon. I asked again for chopsticks. He dropped one in the bag but didn’t take the cutlery out.

Used to eat here daily, but has gone downhill...very rarely get fresh food, it's normally been on the hot food counter long enough that the Katsu sauce has got solidified on the surface and chicken tastes hard and almost stale...staff dont SEM to novh they are doing and takes them a long time to ring up items and very rarely give you a tray or serviettes when eating in (I have to normally now ask for these whereas before it was common practice).....finally the automatic door doesn't work at takes a long time to open but for some reason they don't fix it or just leave it open during working hours...won't eat here again

Chicken teriyaki noodles. Just awful. Soggy with no flavour just salt.

Finally veganism has reached Wasabi too. I’ve tried to get some vegan sushi from Wasabi on a few occasions in the last few years and I ended up being disappointed every time. However, it looks like things began to change here too. This particular store has a number of vegan options. Some of them are good, others so so. The service was pretty quick and the restaurant is spacious with many tables. Prices are fair.

Comida lista para llevar o comer en las mesas que tienen dentro. Muy buena experiencia. Tienen opciones de comida caliente, yo comí un pollo agridulce con yakisoba. Me gustó el no esperar en absoluto (la comida ya esta hecha), las porciones correctas y precio adecuado. La comida viene en envases que sirven tanto para comer allí o para llevar. Recomendado.

Literally my life saviour. The Vegan options are amazing, you don't have to compromise on taste. Veg Gyoza is another amazing option if you are craving a snack!

Great place to go to for lunch. They have sushi and hot food ready to go. I usually go for my favourite Chicken Katsu Curry 🍛 but they have a wide selection to choose from. This is one of the larger Wasabi branches with a lot of seating space available.

Great food at a reasonable price for sushi in London. Tried the dorayaki for the first time and really enjoyed it. It’s basically 2 pancakes with chocolate in between.

Tried the Thai Green curry with rice. It was awesome
