Went to use washing machines to launder and dry 2 duvets. Didn't spot that they would take me over the 2 hours parking limit and got fined £60 (16 min over) . Could have bought a new duvet for that!!!!

Possibly the weirdest services I have been to. Very eclectic mix of people who seemed to be just chilling drinking pints - odd for somewhere people drive to. More like something you’d see in Europe. Had a touch of The Truman Show about it….

This service area has all you want for a refreshing break while travelling and a bite to eat. What it also had, on my most recent visit, was Southern Irishman, aged 35 to 45, clean shaven and not scruffy, accompanied by a boy aged 8 to 11, pleading desperately for the money for petrol to get home. Feeling a mix of compassion and fear, I gave him some money. Immediately, he was begging for more; and for a different reason. I could not leave quickly enough; yes, I was distressed; but I had to get away. I stopped at the next, Southbound only, services to recover. I will never go to Lymm again. It is too easy to access from any direction.

We stopped here for lunch and to use the facilities. We went to the McDonald's for lunch. There are a few other outlets set round a courtyard. Toilets are available and there is plenty parking.

Came in here for food as Hubby was shattered trying to drive car home through Storm Dennis, very hard going, looked at menu, basic but good, he had sausage, mash, peas and gravy, tasty and not bad priced, I had sweet potato fries, which were good, staff were fantastic, place was clean and tidy, we were well looked after, it is in a little courtyard, disappointed with some products bought from Greggs for when we got home, not the usual or as good, would use the restaurant again

Okay its a service station so it is what it is in certain respects, but its got a nicer feel to it that most. A small courtyard is surrounded by a barbers, pub, smiths, costa, greggs and a shop plus clean toilet facilities. Because its a courtyard low level complex it feels quiet pleasant to walk around. Obviously the food is in the main not that healthy but cheap! unless you try the M&S simply food that is also situated within the courtyard area.

Huge queues at Greggs and Costa. Men's toilets disgusting and far too few cubicles, especially when several coaches pull in.

We stopped at Lymm Services for a much needed break, after driving through miles of roadworks on the M6. The main building was based around a small courtyard, with sheltered walkways around the edges and a space open to the elements in the centre. This area included a Greggs, M&S, Costa Coffee and a small restaurant. This place used to be known as Poplar 2000 and was seen mainly as a truck stop. It has undergone rebranding which seems to have renamed it Warrington Lymm Services, and is being run by different people. Motorway Services Online have a more in depth explanation. It is conveniently located just off the M6/M56 Lymm Interchange. We opted for a Costa M&S combo. I had read that M&S now have vegan sandwiches and this seemed like a good time to give them a try. We got a Butternut Squash and Tabbouleh Wrap and a Roasted Veg Sandwich, both labelled as being vegan. We also got crisps and the M&S Spiced and Iced Buns.As we wanted decent coffee in china cups and a place to sit down and eat, we went across the courtyard to Costa Coffee. We got a flat black for Tony and a soya cappuccino for me. The reason for not getting food in Costa is that we keep finding they have run low on vegan food by mid afternoon. Plus their main vegan option, a bean wrap, whilst pleasant, is under 300 calories and a so far a bit sparse when it comes to filling. We wanted something a bit more substantial after an afternoon of driving, with still more driving to do after this break. We had half the wrap each and half the sandwich each. They were both surprisingly bland. The Butternut Squash and Tabbouleh Wrap was supposed to include sumac dressing, houmous and a harissa wrap. All sorts of spices were listed in the ingredients. It should have been delicious, it was just bland. The Roasted Veg Sandwich, in addition to roasted vegetables, was supposed to contain something called chilli crush. Again the whole thing was bland. I was beginning to worry that all those miles of roadworks, and breathing in so many exhaust fumes, had somehow dulled my tastebuds. Luckily we had also bought crisps to go with the sandwiches. These helped to perk up the meal, and reassure me that my tastebuds were still working. The sandwiches were still bland. I do not know if they had run short of spices in the sandwich factory that day, or if these sandwiches are always so tasteless. As a bland sandwich it was not unpleasant, the texture was fine and there was enough filling. It was just sadly lacking in flavour, especially given the description on the packaging. We had also got M&S Spiced Buns, which made a nice end to to the meal. We have had these buns before and they have become a firm favourite for us. They are lovely yeasted buns with plenty of fruit and a good layer of icing on top. We enjoyed the coffee and a comfortable place to sit down in Costa. Overall Lymm Services was a good place to have break. We were just disappointed in the sandwiches. If we go there again we will propbably opt for a Costa Greggs combo as that has been far more successful for us in the past.

Shocked to find this store doesn't accept any form of cash, very strange, the woman on the phone was lovely and very professional however I'm amazed there's no possible way to pay with cash at this store.

If there was a zero star they would be getting that! Ordered garlic bread and cheesy chips at 18.40pm for delivery, still no sign of it so I rang them at 20.07pm the guy told me it was on route to me, at 20.46pm I rang again as it still hadn't arrived to be told it was on its way I questioned him as he said that 40 mins ago!! Finally arrives at 21.10pm cold and no cheese on the chips......straight in the bin!!
