We hired this venue for the wedding party. Food was excellent, service was beyond expectations, venue and menu was amazing. We would give 10 out of 10. (Lamb Karahi was superb). Thanks WAHEED. Yakub Patel, Preston.

We had a delightful dining experience at this restaurant. The fresh food was bursting with flavor and arrived piping hot at our table. The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly and attentive. Our family of 29 members thoroughly enjoyed the meal together. It was a fantastic gathering with delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for a memorable dining experience!

We hosted a party here for around 150 people last night. Amazing service, catered perfectly to our needs. Food was spot on, waiters very nice and the owner was very good. Helped me out when needed and adjusted for our needs. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Poor food and service, atmosphere was awful like a library, ordered mix grill, was raw, food was cold, asked for cold drink, it was warm, water was warm. Als3d to get a cold drink, was offered ice, which took 10 minutes to come. This place has gone downhill, one time food use to be nice, food is bland. Not happy at all would have been better off getting a £2 burger meal from the takeaway round the corner.

I have always ordered from this place for large functions and all I can say is never even disappointed. Amazing food, fresh, quality food. Service is amazing. Would definitely recommend this place.

Travelled down from London for a break. Once we unpacked and were ready to eat we bumped into a nice gentleman who recommended this place. When we arrived everyone was starving including littleones. They gave us some chips within a minute as the kids needed something to munch on. We ordered the platter for 4 was surprised it took longer than expected as we are used to quicker service in London. When food arrived it was worth the wait everything was made fresh and tasted delicious ma sha Allah. Honestly better than all the indian restaurants we've tried in London. A must visit, I would highly recommend.

Just raw food smell was coming from food. Absolutely lentil was boiled in water and stir in oil. Drastically was not willing to eat. Have to make something at home. There is no choice of zero star. I would like to give them. Even i think they don't deserve 1.

My family have been going to Waheeds for many years but since Covid things have changed there. Apart from the separated tables, visible hand sanitation equipment, Covid posters, and staff wearing masks with gloves; the biggest change at Waheeds is that it is no longer a buffet service due to stoppping customers sharing food utensils which is sad as buffet lovers but understandable. So as a menu based restaurant the food is still superb. I would recommend the platters (we ordered a platter for 2 which was rich with starters and 2 mains) as they are very good value for money and did not disappoint. Also if you are into paya, they make the most perfect paya around. Lastly the young staff that was waiting gave very good service. They attended and provided us with every little request that we gave them. I felt that I would give my experience after reading the unfair negative reviews about this place, but I would say they are still one of the best in town.

This restaurant is well known for allowing 100 people groups in during a pandemic putting lots of peoples lives at risk, please do not visit

Really bad service. Got turned down after waiting half an hour. Being booked over the phone for 8.30. Arriving there we got turned down. Not coming back here again. I dont reccomend this to anyone

So me and my 7 brothers and sisters and 12 cousins decided to celebrate our motherland's independence from British rule - right here in the UK under British rule! Anyway, this place was very accommodating and they let in loads of us! Unfortunately, the police came in and started hassling us saying something about Blackburn and a virus and Asians. How racist was that? It's not like we're up to five times more likely to catch the coronavirus or anything.

Venue breaches covid regulations and hosts a wedding reception with over 100 people while blackburn is countrys biggest covid hotspot. Unprofessional and putting lives at risk. Very poor.

Visited today with Family and all I can say is WOW!!! The menu has totally changed and the menu is completely new....but my gosh was we allPleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the standard of the service! Keep up the good work guys and we can’t wait to come back very very soon!

Came here for a family treat and wow what a good choice it was. The food was fresh and tasty. Can’t fault the place really. The staff was excellent and friendly too. Will be back again.

Arrived midweek with family. Small venue but a good variety of food. Service was great and all staff friendly and helpful. A lot of meat in the dishes so good quality. Parking a bit tricky but possible in nearby areas. Excellent value for money.

Went here today 1st jan 2020 for a family meal. Well what can i say, we had heard good things about here but wanted to try ourselves and boy they didn't disappoint, from a nice greeting to being seated everything was good, the food was outstanding even though its a serve yourself they even brought food to our table. great selection of fine cuisine to choose form i tried quite a few different things i had never had and was very impressed with all the food and the service was outstanding too. We will defo be back for another helping at some point. thanks guys you made it a great experience

If you find this place busy then just turn away. I was here with 3 friends and it was busy.The food was cold and some dishes were missing.My friend who has a nut allergy explained to a waiter that the custard was contaminated because she could see gajar halva floating in it.She asked for a separate portion but the waiter forgot. We reminded him again. The owner was walking around the reception area. I wont be coming again.

Hard to beat. 4 of our number were British Pakistanis, so hyper-critical, and believe me when I say, this would be tough to beat at any price, let alone £10! The fish pakora was delicious, as was the lamb curry (desi gosht) & the endless fresh chicken tikka with naan bread. We ate, & ate, and ate, and still found room for more. I'll definitely be back with the family...

Disappointingly poor meal in which my son found glass in his reshmi kebab. The chicken tikka was dry and burned in places. This used to be a good buffet restaurant with some really good home-style dishes. Sadly we won’t be returning. We’ve been visiting this restaurant for years but this visit was not a happy experience. The management did not even offer to wave the cost of my son’s glass-seasoned meal!

A group of 4 people attended Waheeds Buffet Blackburn today 17 August 2019 around 9pm. Salad was visibly stale with discoloration. Many dishes were empty. I have bread was dry as rock. Chicken was cold. However a young lad went out of his way to serve us. He also provided us with fresh naan upon request. Paya were uncooked, very very hard. Biryani rice has no meat in dish. On desert bar chocolate cake was broken in pieces crumbled up in plate. Upon request the waiter got a fresh cake after waiting. After finishing meal we went to pay they had a sign up saying "Cash only"Card machine not working. Luckily we had cash otherwise we would have gone elsewhere.Floor was littered not that cleanFinally, would i ever go back NEVER. Only reason we came here was that Shahi Qila was fully booked so we decided to come here. I have rated our overall dining experience as poor which is due to our collective experience.

The service at the restaurant is what you expect, smiles and great customer service. That's the positive, but the food was not on the good side. It doesn't excite me at all and quality wasn't good. They had the quantity but not quality. Definitely wouldn't visit again. It was a hit or miss attempt. Definitely will miss. That's my personal opinion of the restaurant.

Decent buffet place in Blackburn, the price you can’t go wrong with. In past there was more variety with deserts and main dishes however I still can’t complain. I understand it’s not as big as nawabs and is quieter during weekdays therefore it would be difficult no maintain a large variety of food during week but maybe at weekends they should increase the variety again. Saying that I honestly can’t complain about food if I was being picky then they should put the nihari back on menu. Oh yeh and please keep toilets clean.

I ordered food for my brothers nikkah, we ordered brown rice, sweet rice, curry and chappati. Order arrived 1hr late meaning most guests left without eating. The food itself was rushed, the meat in both the curry and the rice smelt and this was when the food was suppose to be fresh. I am disgusted in the service. I am not the only one to say the meat smelt off my guest said the same and this inturn was embarrassing for me as it seemed as if I ordered cheap when in actual fact I ordered in advance, so food shouldn't have been rushed and fresh meat should have been used and I had paid 300 for the food. I would not recommend food from here at all. Upon speaking to waheeds they made excuses and blamed each other very unprofessional. Very unhappy

Excellent value with a wide choice of starters, main course and desserts. A variety of salads and chutneys to enhance the eating experience.

Went with my partner, £10 pp , they have the buffet which was really good. Desserts - chocolate cake, ice creams all within the price of the buffet. Can get unlimited soft drinks for £2. The staff were so friendly, couldn't do enough for us. Kept checking we were ok, if we wanted anything else. Only downfalls I would say - abit more choice on the mains would of been good, and parking wise was ok..... But not sure what you'd do on a busy night. You have to try find Street parking near the restaurant. But deffo thumbs up if your looking for cheap and cheerful eat.

It used to be my favourite place to eat but since making it £10 per head with drinks chargeable ( used to be £11.99 with free drinks and lots more dishes and desserts so not sure where we are better off ) they have stopped a lot of varieties and desserts. Taste has also changed and food does not seem to be fresh .

Went here with the family during the week so drinks were included in the price. Food was delicious, wide range of desserts were available although some of the cakes were abit dry. Starters and main courses were freshly made and topped up regularly. Staff were very polite. Worth paying the price including drinks otherwise I think it’s abit pricey considering it is not decorated that nicely ( although it is clean) and it’s on a Blackburn back street.

We're foodies and have literally tried all buffet restaurants in the north west but this place has got to be my number one. EVERY dish was amazing. If we had more room for food we would have gone through the whole buffet again. And not to mention top service :-)

We went to waheed’s buffet as usual today but we’re ver disappointed, they have now reduced all varieties and desserts and reduced their price to £10 per head (plus £2 per unlimited drink) instead of the previous £11.99snd free drinks . No samosas no ,Thai pai chicken ( which was my favourite) no pasta, no pizza for kids and only one cake instead of the couple of different varieties they used to have . We were very disappointed and would have preferred paying the previous £1.99 extra We will not be going there again anytime soon . It used to be my children’s favourite place so we would go there very often but not anymore

Although our visit was a buffet night the buffet was quite varied with different meats, vegetables, breads, naans, curries, rices and sweets.

After booking a table two hours in advance we arrived after a twenty minute journey only to be told that our table had been given away to someone they knew and as I was questioning this during the same time it was azaan for Iftari and we were not even offered dates to break our fast. Writing this review as it is my husbands birthday and highly upset with the terrible service and lack of acknowledgement by the staff. Would never recommend Waheeds to anyone, unless you want to spend your time and effort at a place where they don't even have the decency to offer a Muslim something to break their fast let alone professionalism as to where they can offer a table as promised on the phone!

We have been to another all you can eat Indian style buffet nearby, but this place just beats it. The staff are really friendly and helpful, my eleven year old stepson and one of the waiters were having a good chat about football.

I cannot thank the Waheeds Blackburn team enough for their excellent food and service. Had placed an order for a party. Food was delivered bang on time, was absolutely delicious, with positive comments all round, and such a generous amount that there was so much left over even after everyone had eaten their full. Guests were happy to help themselves to doggy bags of leftover food. Great food, with just the right proportions within all elements of the dishes ordered. Bespoke service at an incredibly reasonable price. A special thanks to Brothers Noman and Yasir for personally overseeing quality control and impeccable timing. Would recommend Waheeds to cater for any event, big or small.

Visited here just after Christmas with family . I don’t even know we’re to start the toilets are disgusting need a serious clean . The place in all needs a clean food cold . Waiting for starters to be filled for about 20min and these were still cold .. food on the floor that was there when we walked in and still there when we left plastic dirty plates .. desserts well what they was of them horrible .. the spoons the young waiter was serving us the desserts looked like they had been used for about a week without even Been cleaned .. the place was run by young lads not a adult in-sight ... we will not be visiting again

The place was quite busy, which is a good sign. The food was plentiful and frequently topped up. In fact, I was looking for naan and the waiter brought us a plate of fresh without being asked. The waiting staff were some of the most courteous I have ever met. The food was kind of basic, but tasty and authentic. Would definitely recommend, and will be coming again.

Really disappointed because the plates (which are plastic) were unclean with curry or grime that can be clearly seen on an angle. It's frightening to think what germs are on them upon close inspection.

Have been coming here once /twice a year with friends. Reasonably priced and decent choices of food. I even recommended to a friend from work. She went on a weekend and said it was dirty and food was poor. I thought she must be mistaken. Anyway it was wife's birthday so thought I'd take here and kids down. It was a weekday do thought it would be better than the weekend experience my colleague had. Got in and it was about 6pm. The place looked like it hasn't been cleaned since last night. Gave them benefit of doubt. Then a young waiter came. Said fresh food would be added to buffet hot plates soon and he'd give me a shout when ready. I asked for a jug of Diet Coke while we waited. He then went into kitchen and an argument ensued with kitchen staff. Swearing loudly. Wife's thinking where have I brought her. ?He was asked to leave by owner which was the most appropriate thing to do. 10 minutes later another young waiter asked if we wanted drinks. So again ordered a jug of coke. 5 minutes later he brings three glasses. Asked for another as there were 4 of us. On inspecting glass. Mine had a sharp piece broken from edge and it was grimey. The other 2 were same. !! I felt embarrassed that I had brought the family here. Ended up walking out. This used to be a great little gem in blackburn. Our mini nawabs. ! What has happened to it? Hope you get it sorted. Will visit again in future once I hear things have improved:)

We go here regularly, the foods delicious and fresh, really love the fish, butter chicken, lollipop chicken, Tarka dal, samoas, chicken Tika and they will make you fresh nan's mmmmm and if you have room, theirs a selection of desserts, cakes, ice cream in many flavours, cornfake cake and custard mmmm. The service is always friendly and attentive, a waiter was called Addil, he was extremely friendly and on point with the service, kept our table clear and made sure we had fresh nans and a jug of coke. I went here with a few of my friends, without a booking as it was a weekday and we decided last minute to eat here, arrived and at first no one paid attention to us, when eventually someone did come he was extremely rude and told us that "if you go to a restaurant you should at least book first" The place was empty! extremely rude. And where is the parking?? We had to park on a residential side street. The food was decent but not something i would go back for.

6 of us went here and cost £55. Not the cheapest. All food was nice no problems there. All staff were helpful and friendly.However, prior to arriving we phoned them and asked if we should booking a table with it being a Saturday night. They said no it's fine. Upon arriving we was ushered into a conference room in the corner to wait for a table to become free. Why say you don't have to book if you was full?

Food was typical a buffet place nothing special, starters was decent but currys' were really bad, they had nice staff though and facilities for praying.

Visited Waheeds with work colleagues for the first time and weren't too sure what to expect but i can now say it was the perfect choice perfect location..!! The buffet was excellent with a large choice of starters to mains! Soft drinks and a wide range of desserts included in the total price of £12 per head. All my colleagues were really impressed with the quality of the food and the friendly service provided.As my colleagues are from different locations of Lancashire we all found the location to be perfectly centralised and easy access..!Definitely recommend all groups ( families/ freinds/ work )

Waheed Buffet is not a restaurant you would prefer to grab your family there for a fine dine in. 7 Months back I gave this restaurant 4 stars but now, not even want to give 1 star due to their very poor services, foods, cleanliness in toilets and dine in. This criticism is not just because I want them to come to shame but to get it better please. First of all Floor is slippy, Food is as same as i found it 7 months back. They do not change their menu at all. Labels are old and full of dirt. They do not even know how to make butter chicken. Please do not cook the stuff you do not have any idea about. Deserts Section is unbelievable in poor condition. Falooda was like hot water with Italian Spaghettis. Cakes were cheaper one. In toilets you will find water all over but not Tissue Papers. This is better to go some kind of Take aways. Why we visit these places because we people want to eat some thing different which we cant make at homes. I appreciate my wife who cooks 1000 times better than Waheed's.

Just visited this place for the first time and was able to sample some of my favourite dishes. Thankfully I was also able to taste some I'd never eaten before. They have such a massive range It's going to take me at least 3 more visits just to cover the range of options. I can't wait to take others and watch their reactions. Love It, love It, love it.

What delight I found this place to be. As soon as I walked in I thought it was rather plain but the staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout my time there.We were asked if it was our first time and were shown where everything was and if we needed anything extra he was more than happy to oblige, which I found a was a nice thought. Being a buffet I was more than surprised to fine more than plenty to choose from. The food its self was all covered well but the delight was still to come in the flavours. lovely ! The price was very good too at £11.50 a head you cant go wrong for all you can eat. Well worth a visit. Well done to all the friendly staff.

It can't be a coincidence that the last two times I've visited here the next few days I've been sick. Besides that, the staff particularly the young boys are so lifeless and really put me off going again. They don't smile and are not friendly. The older man who takes care of the food area is very catering and friendly.

Went for a dinner with my wife and to be honest it was just a waste of time and money. The food was all dry and the curries and its spices was just overpowering and some bland. the naan bread was made fresh to order as the bread in those chauffin dishes was dry as a poppadum. The staff was just terrible . they were all in a hurry to do their own jobs finish it off and eat their dinner nd go while the customers sat there wondering what to do . overall was'nt happy and left devastated

The food here is a delight. Tastes just like home made Indian food. They also do rake outs which I normally do. I believe they allow you to use the restaurant for big bookings too and for mini wedding parties too. Food is served and made there at the back where you can see chefs cooking fresh meals. The food is good, the staff are too. The atmosphere and lighting is okay too you can either sit at tables or booths which give a bit more privacy.

Been to waheeds many times as it is local, it's not the biggest of places but they are still many options and always plenty of food and it is very much always warm. Desserts are plentiful and include a variety from cakes, profiteroles, cornflake tart, brownies, rice pudding, ice cream, jelly and a few asain desserts, i am unsure what they're called. For £11.95 with drinks included Monday to Thursday, it's not bad at all as you could expect to pay that for just a main course elsewhere or for a dessert drink and poppadoms! Customer service is always good as there is not always someone at the dessert bar but comes within a minute and always apologises for the wait (which is understandable cuz I usually go soon after opening and it's not usually busy).Would recommend definitely to anyone as it is good value, especially when you're paying for a family of 7!

What has happened to Waheeds! I gave it 5 stars a year ago but I went today and was almost turned away. You can only eat for 1 hour sitting the waiter said madly, we have a big booking. My kids was starving so I just said ok. The service was soooo bad. The waiter was sooo rude and kept looking as to when we would go. We couldnt relax and enjoy ourselves as the clock was ticking. Another paying customer, poor man came in and his kids panicked so much that his glass accidently broke. Next time you have a BIG Booking. Please just put a sign up outside and say "Fully Booked". You looked down on us and our family I was very disappointed. To make it worse you were going to charge us full price for half the time, until I complained.Never Ever going again!

Would recommend the buffet as I have been a few times and found the food to be ok - good choice. Weddings wise I don't think its all that for a mehndi even. Its quite squashed in and a bit of a budget job. Little bits that need tidying up and service wasnt all that either. Stick to the buffet guys.

As soon as you walk in you are greeted and shown to a seat. The food is buffet so theres no having to wait for food to be brought out. Great variety of options, something for everyone! Mix between some indian cuisine as well as english food. Atmosphere is very nice, i like the seating! Food is moderately spicy, but has a lot of flavour. The only concern is the food is not always hot its more on the cooler side. Desserts are quite dry like the cornflake tart. My favourite thing here was the cocktails, but sadly these have been taken off the menu last time i came. Naan is always fresh and the wonderful staff always come round with fresh naan. Staff are friendly and always come round to see if everything is okay. Smart uniform and pleasant service overall. Great value for money. As it is buffet style you can go umpteen times. I go here at least once a month if not more.

Literally found this fabulous place because of Trip Advisor - wanted an all you can eat buffet near where we were stayin and Waheed's seemed the best choice.Pat on the back to fellow Trip Advisors - you were right. Polite and friendly staff, an entire wall full of freshly prepared dishes - every one of which I tried was very good. Excellent value for money and certainly a place to remember.

Food was next level all the food from starters to desserts all had they own flavour which you cant stop eating. Overall excellent nothing to fault about this place keep up the good work #TEAM WAHEEDS

I went to eat at Waheeds buffet at around 8.45pm on Saturday 15th October and left at around 10.00pm. I went with my wife and 2 young children aged 3 and 6.Since returning home, at around 12.45am I have been vomiting uncontrollably and have only felt better after I had vomited a lot of the food eaten.As this was a buffet I ate small taster amounts of the food, but I believe the saag aloo could have been the cause of my food poisoning.I will be calling the establishment when the reopens and I have submitted a complaint with the FSA with respect to the food poisoning.The food was only warm and not hot, many of the items had been in the buffet trays for long periods and dried out or become soggy. The naan was the only fresh item of food and tasted good. The desi meat curry was the only tasty curry dish but I had to 'fish out' a few pieces of meat remaining in the tray.Our seating was full of food debris left by previous occupants. The service was reasonable and if you can get the attention of a waiter they were somber but helpful.I went there on recommendation from a friend but from my dining experience I wasn't impressed with the food or the cleanliness. Since the food poisoning episode I certainly wouldn't go back. It's a shame my first every review on trip advisor was due to a very bad experience of food poisoning at Waheeds.

Up in Blackburn again, so as usual trying a different Indian restaurant,Arrived upon opening , greeted by a pleasant member of staff, who showed me the Buffet,So as alway I base my review honestly on the place, the staff, the food and price.I have to say a nice selection of starters, better than the normal rubbish I see,Then the mains, all nice and hot....and delicious I tried 22 dishes not including the chutneys and popadoms, Nice fresh naan bought over to me and a lassi to top it all off.Good selections of deserts if you have a sweet tooth.Wow, all this for £11.95. I would have paid £20I don't always give bad reviews ,only if they are deserving,This one got the review it deserved excellent , I will be back

Visiting here after reading the excellent trip advisor reviews and they all do justice to this place, food was excellent & service was brilliant, very friendly staff nice atmosphere ♥️♥️♥️♥️
