Wagamama Brindley Place in Birmingham

Great lunch on a rainy day. Not long to wait for seating. Great service and delicious food. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.

Great location and great views of the canal from the restaurant. Was served by Argers who was very polite, helpful, attentive and engaging. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed this visit and the food so good that we ordered more items as we went along. At the end, we ordered one Smoked Chocolate Cake, it was that good, that we ordered two more! Definitely will be coming back here again.

We were both astonished as we walked into our favourite music playing. When we entered, we were greeted by the lovely Sarah who then full knowledge of how to work the new system and gave us some great ideas of what to get. Highly recommend coming here the food was amazing! We had the steak and salmon noodles and I couldn’t fault it! The duck gyozas aswell were to DIE for, including the sauce they came with! But big up Sarah she was fantastic:)

We came in this afternoon and was served by a good looking man with an accent I think his name was Ali, Ali’s service was impeccable and I would return to the restaurant just to be served by him alone, nothing was too much trouble and he was a really funny guy, we had amazing food and drinks and will definitely be back again. Thanks so much to Ali and the team today.

Wagamama is one of my favourite chains, food consistently fresh & delicious and I like the informal seating style. This time was the first for my teenaged son, who has resisted Wagamama until this visit, for reasons known only to himself. I ordered my fave dish (tofu ramen) which was as good as always; he ordered a chicken curry dish. And he ate the lot. And he enjoyed it - enough that we were back the next evening for more. I am so happy with this outcome 🙂

As per all Wagamamas this was Good as Always. Fast service, wide menu, friendly staff, tasty food and a decent price. Can only reccomend.

Me self and my Mrs celebrated our 5 anniversary here last night and we will defo be going again the choices on the menu were so amazing and flovorsome the mains and side perfectly complemented each other and the deserts were amazing, if you enjoy oriental foods then this is the place for you , and our server Adriana was very professional, friendly and attentive

Second visit to the Bullring store and served by a lovely,friendly, efficient young gentleman Artur. On both occasions he served us and made us feel welcome and followed up on 2 occasions to see if we were happy with food and if we needed anything else. Def come back again.. food was lovely

Atmosphere was nice and staff were friendly and attentive. It was my first time here and i went for the safe option ‘chicken katsu curry’, it was ok just about warm, didn’t seem very seasoned. Overall it was alright wouldn’t rush back.

The best ramen and gyoza in Birmingham. I can highly recommend the beef ramen, it was lovely ITG a little chilli kick.

Ambience terrible. I have enjoyed many meals at Wagamama’s – in Exeter and Leeds, for instance. This particular venue is not conducive to chatting or enjoying your food. Poor acoustics (perhaps a low ceiling?). We went in at lunchtime, say 12.45 or so, place about half full yet echoed and too noisy to enjoy conversation. Walked out after 4 minutes.

We had a great meal at this restaurant, there were 32 of us, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. Thank you!

Second time in Wagamama after not eating in one for many years. Food is fresh and excellent a bit pricey but not overpriced

on our first visit here our food was cold. Decided to give it another chance- everyone has off days. However came in here with friends and ordered the vegan yasai yaki soba. While eating it I realised that there was something in there that didn’t quite taste right. I spat it out to inspect and low and behold it was a piece of chicken. I gave a bit that was still on my plate to my boyfriend who isn’t vegan who confirmed that it was in fact meat. We called over the person who was serving us who took it away and said I’d get a new one, but at this point I was so upset that I didn’t want a replacement. The waiting staff came over to tell us that the “chef says it’s a mushroom”!. Having eaten meat for 20 years of my life and eating mushrooms on a near-daily basis, I think I’d be able to tell the difference and the fact that the chef had so easily batted it off was actually quite insulting. I have only been kind enough to give 2 stars for the waiting staff, whose fault I’m aware that it wasn’t. Won’t be returning and if you’re vegan/veggie please avoid this place.

Mi esposo y yo fuimos aquí antes de un concierto en el Birmingham Symphony Hall el 4 de noviembre. Había una cola para sentarse alrededor de las 6. 30 pm, así que esperé mientras mi esposo estacionaba el auto. La anfitriona fue muy amable y la espera fue de menos de 15 minutos. El bacalao sabía bien y ahumado, pero el caldo de ramen no era particularmente sabroso. Sabía que había comido ajo al día siguiente, lo cual no es un problema, pero mi recuerdo de mi comida era un poco soso. Teníamos una cerveza grande y un vino mediano y la factura era 55 Inc una propina.Todavía amo un wagamama y probaré algo diferente la próxima vez, ya que hay tantas opciones deliciosas para elegir. Always love wagamamas. Two occasions we have been to this one in particular, service absolutely okay, quality of food one hundred percent not up to standard. This evening my partner who is actually vegan, received her meal containing a small piece of meat that was addressed by the staff as a piece of mushroom. This was not the case, all three of us attending the meal work in hospitality, and with food all day, it was really clear that this was a problem Please re think who is in charge of expediting food Thanks

Convenient location, just across the canal bridge from the Symphony Hall, Excellent service and the food was so yummy. No booking required albeit we ate at 18.00ish I would assume that it does get busier later.

Nunca he estado en un wagamama antes. Recientemente me metí en la comida japonesa, la estuve cocinando en casa durante aproximadamente un año, pero entré al centro de Sea Life con mi esposa y mi hija y pensé que sería bueno venir aquí.

We were there for dinner with a group and had a really nice time and good food, even one gluten and dairy free meal. Very uncomplicated and relaxed.

I ordered the vegatsu curry which was pretty nice. My one complaint is it didn’t have enough sauce.

No great surprises first floor restaurant overlooking the others nearby. Service was fast, normal delivery of what is ready first. Fruit juices great but drinks straws are not fit for purpose. Clog up and become useless half way through the drink.

It's different, which is good but is very expensive for what essentially is a bowl of veg and water. It is well made but just charged too high for what it is. Free green tea tho!

A group of us went to Wagamama New Street last night. My first visit ( it wont be my only visit) excellent service and the food was really lovely, my only gripe was the bench seating which is not that comfortable but wouldn't put me off.

Excellent location, 1st floor restaurant. Poker try of staying, clean and organised. 6pm weeknight not overly busy. Lively atmosphere nonetheless. Staff quick and knowledgable. Menu hasn't changed too much. Duck gyoza my highlight, steamed chicken buns very tender but lacked flavour. Pad Thai very large portion, plenty of colour and crunch, but bland, flavourless chicken. Bottomless green tea welcome. Great place, overall great food, but flavour second to visuals and vege/ vegan brigade.

Restaurant was not full, even though it was busy outside due to the number of concert venues. We ordered quite quickly ( Chicken and Prawn Pad Thai ) and the food, with drinks arrived soon after. It was hot and tasted just the same as I remember from travelling in the Far East. Good price as well.

Great food but unusual experience, although they do warn you the food comes when ready and not at the same time. Staff attentive but very noise, needs something to deaden the sound, would only ever eat and go, not a place to have a relaxing meal.

So we have been to this wagas a fair few times. I’ve have had issues with food requests such as no eggs no onions etc. I’d even forgiven that that particular visit after four attempts of trying to get the order correct my friend had managed to eat her meal and I still wasn’t close to having mine, or having to wait 20 minutes to catch someone’s attention to be able to pay the bill on more than one occasion, and let’s not forget the time I was in desperate need to go for a wee and after standing for 15 minutes for someone to come and seat us I decided to just go to the bathroom to then be greeted with ‘excuse me the toilets are for customers only’ - I then had to stand and explain that I was a customer and that i’d be waiting a while to be seated. Anyway, today we went for a meal - my partner and I. We waited about 15/20 minutes to be seated to then wait another 15/20 minutes to finally have someone to come and take just the drinks order - thankfully we were able to order our food as well. We ate, it was okay quite nice actually. We wanted another glass of water and seeing as the check back was done by one of the waiters walking away from us saying ‘food good?’ My partner got up and proceeded to the bar to ask for two more glasses of water. They arrived to the table by a short man with a bad attitude. lip turned up ‘you should have called for one of us’ which wouldn’t have been an issue if any of the staff members bothered to come by the table. One poor couple was shoved in the back of the restaurant and was seated before us and by the time we received our mains didn’t even have their order taken! Anyway, back to the short angry man he then decided to turn round to my partner and said in a tone only to be described as rude and obnoxious ‘did you think you were at nandos?’ when my partner asked him to repeat himself it was greeted with ‘this isn’t nandos, did you think you were at nandos’ - no my dear we didn’t but when there is no one around and we don’t feel it’s appropriate to be shouting and clicking or waving in a restaurant whether it’s full or empty. Two of the tables are constantly in use by the staff, covered in boxes or paperwork etc. I don’t think we will ever be returning to this particular restaurant. Normally the staff here as pleasant and attentive. However it’s almost like they’ve hired a abundance of rude, ignorant and horrible staff. This gentleman was about 5’2 black and I would avoid him at all cost.

The taste of all the dishes is amazing, the service is not bad and the portions are considerable for the price. It is fully recommended with very healthy and varied dish.

Pedimos al restaurante regularmente y hemos pedido el Vegan Katsu Curry dos veces antes y ha sido comestible. Hoy fue una excepción, y la imagen habla por sí misma de verdad. Ordenamos con Rudolf el pesebre ya que la orden era una orden de alergia. El Vegatsu fue pasado por alto, duro, aceitoso y correoso, por decir lo menos. Y ciertamente no se ve como la imagen en el menú. Bastante decepcionado.

Really enjoyed this meal, as always with Wagamama’s a great selection of food and when it arrived it was lovely. Staff very friendly, service really good and a nice atmosphere and good location at the waters edge.

We went on St Patrick's day after the parade so it was, predictably, very busy, however, we were seated quite quickly. Some of the seats are like bar stools and if you're allocated one of these you sit at a long table, elbow to elbow with other people which I wouldn't like. Fortunately we had a "proper" table so all good in that respect. The food was really nice, there was plenty of it and you can see it being cooked. Lots of veggie and vegan options to choose from.My gripe is that they didn't bring our meals out together and as my partner didn't want to start without me had to ask where my food was. They did the same with the desserts. The waiter was polite and apologetic and this lapse may have been due to the fact that they were very busy. Restaurant has a 5 star hygiene rating.

We went here as a family of six on a Sunday and it was quite full. It’s in a part of the centre of Birmingham that has been completely redeveloped so its modern decor fits in well.

Visited here as part of a large group. Food took quite a long time to arrive, although was delicious. Really enjoyed mine and the portions were large. I particularly enjoyed the sake. The atmosphere was good and relaxed but the staff were too busy to be properly attentive - we had to wait quite a long time when asking for things like extra drinks and cutlery. I would definitely visit again and recommend it to others.

Went with boyfriends family. I love Wagamamas as everyone is able to get food. Whether it’s meat or vegan! I appreciate this a lot. During the time I went I was on slimming world so I had saved my syns for the day and opted for the lovely yaki soba with chicken and prawns for 15 syns. It was busy however staff still accommodated our needs.

Finally managed to eat at Wagamama for the first time ever. Brindley Place was the venue of choice as we had just finished a session at the Symphony Hall. It's situated on the 'waters edge' and i think it would be nice having a window seat to be able to look at and watch the canal boats sail past.

I've visited wagamama numerous times, I've always had excellent customer service. However todays vist to bringly place has been exceptional, due to the excellent service of keai and the rest of the team. They could not have done enough for us and the cooks have not disappointed us as always.

We were able to get a table here on a Saturday afternoon really quickly. We ordered a selection of starters and our mains and it was exactly what we needed. The food is really flavoursome and there is a great selection. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made the visit and pleasure.

This was the only place I could find that offered dinner after 10PM - it’s open until 11. I had their new Beef Brisket Raman. Very tasty and a large portion. They serve Singha Beer from Thailand - I recommend tying it - excellent beer. The service was good.

Went for a quick weekend lunch; it was busy, but we were seated immediately. The food was served quickly - chicken Katsu curry with rice, very tasty - and it was steaming hot and a good sized portion. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we were in and out in less than an hour. Perfect

La esposa y yo fuimos anoche a comer porque a ella le encanta la comida y antes había comido en otras comidas, ¡pero nunca lo hice, así que pensé en probarlo! ! Sentados rápidamente vinieron bebidas y pedimos hasta ahora tan bueno. Ocupado lugar animado amigable. La comida de mi esposa llegó a la mía, ella casi no terminó, la mía llegó, lo cual fue muy mal después de que terminé la mía, llegó nuestra orden, pero sabes lo que dije, probablemente. Así que toda la experiencia en mis primeras bromas fue cuando nos miramos comer comidas separadas en momentos diferentes. Llamado por el gerente, le expliqué que veníamos a comer juntos, por qué nuestra comida no estaba en el mismo pedido, dijo que la camarera debería haberle explicado que toda su comida debía llegar en diferentes momentos. ¿Hablas en serio o hablas en voz alta? Si esta es la política de la cadena de restaurantes sus locos. Solo ven si estás desesperado, si no hay muchos lugares más agradables alrededor para tener una comida para 2 y no 2 comidas para 1.

No estoy seguro de qué salió mal en este Wagamama, pero el caos ordenado habitual de la entrega se rompió totalmente. Camarero tardó años incluso para tomar nuestro pedido. ¡La pareja que estaba sentada a nuestro lado todavía estaba esperando que les sirvieran la comida cuando las personas sentadas al otro lado habían llegado y habían terminado sus platos principales! No está a la altura del estándar habitual de Wagamama.

Very busy Sunday. The Service was slow. Unfortunately the glasses were dirty. The food arrived swiftly but was cold. Slight mishap was the tray of drinks were spilt. It really was not the best.

Staff helpful, flexible but slow. Food average and for the unfamiliar person there was not a great explanation of what the plate had and some surprises around our table took place. Tables and sitting reminded me the barracks restaurant.

I love Wagamamas, they serve vegan dishes that are exciting and flavoursome. Their staff are always so polite, asking you about your day and generally making you feel very welcome and valued.

they have just recently had a refurb so my team went down to check it out Wednesday lunchtime and we were not disappointed the staff were super friendly and the food was delicious so much so my boyfriend was jealous so when we went to Touchwood Shopping Centre at the weekend we went to the Wagamama there and we received the same treatment and he was impressed that you can ask for extra curry sauce at no extra charge so we left a tip :)

We had a good meal at wagamama and we were taken by surprise by the amazing service. My friend ordered sake for the first time, and the waiter chatted him through the what and how. We also had a good chat with here, and she was so serviced minded!

We visited on a Monday night before going to a concert at the Symphony Hall. We shared the fried duck and the pulled pork gyōza. Delicious! Then I had the chicken raisukaree, without the chillis. This was the perfect blend of coconut and spice, I devoured the lot! My husband's teriyaki sirloin steak soba also didn't last long. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out fresh and quickly. Would definitely recommend here for a delicious meal.
