Ate here with family & although our waitress was good & the food arrived quickly, the dishes were grossly over priced considering the portion sizes & lack of meat. For example the Pad Thai chicken & prawn (item no. 48) was full of fillers (cheap stuff) like noodles & beansprouts & had only 4 small prawns & a few tiny (1cm) pieces of chicken. Considering the price of chicken (£4 for a 2kg chicken) & prawns (£2 for 250 gm) in a supermarket, I calculated the total food material cost to be less than £1 - which means the profit margin (at the sales price of £15) is above 1400% ! This clearly shows the extreme greed of the Wagamama owners because normal restaurants typically operate at margins of 20 to 100%. Of course, Wagamama will argue that the labour cost is excluded in this calculation but considering that the food arrived within 10 minutes, the labour cost at £12 per hour works out to around £2. Another dish, Yaki Soba chicken & prawn was again all noodles with very little meat and looking through the reviews I can see customers in 2021 & 2022 complaining about high cost & low meat content. These overpriced dishes are a sign of the cynical attitude & strategy of the owners to maximise profits instead of trying to delight customers with good value - so that they will come back for more in the future. Considering that most customers visiting Cheshire Oaks visit from near & far to get bargains on designer brands, and may not visit that often, the owners strategy appears to be working and I wouldn't be surprised if other restaurants in Cheshire Oaks have the same strategy ! I certainly will not be eating at Wagamama again.

We ate here midweek but wish we hadn’t. The waitress that sat us at the table was lovely. But the waitress that served us looked totally fed up and miserable. She didn’t smile once and our experience got worse from then on… The food was cold and tasteless. The nicest thing we ate was the tenderstem broccoli. We will not be back any time soon!!

Start of service very good. We’re sat immediately with no queue and had chicken ramen broth very nice and veg crisp and fresh. Had ‘power’ juice drink to try and the spinach nicely complimented the other flavours instead of over showering. Finished with a white chocolate and ginger cheesecake. Extremely nice finish to the meal great job!

As a family, Wagamama has been ideal for catering for kids, and with the children’s meal deal this continues. However, the change in the full menu has significantly reduced the quality and overall experience. The ramen offer once included cod and gyoza options, which have now been replaced by poorer quality chicken dishes - and an increase in price. The hospitality sector continues to face financial challenges, but the cost to quality ratio is now far imbalanced. Reputation alone is not sustainable. Average at best.

We arrived on the 17th which was a hot and sunny day. We had our newborn baby and pram with us. We requested to sit outside because it puts our minds at ease with a large pram, a baby that can sometimes be unsettled, and me breastfeeding and feeling more comfortable. We were told that only people with dogs are allowed outside! Since when do dogs be prioritised over babies? We were sat near the entrance with a small space for our pram in a main walkway. This is a health and safety hazard. Staff are busy serving customers with hot and heavy food and drink which could have fallen onto the pram where our newborn was sleeping. What’s more, there were at least 5+ prams in the restaurant making it hard to walk around. I witnessed multiple people walk out after being told they were unable to sit outside. So not only have the restaurant discriminated, but they have lost custom too. When we went to pay and use our rewards voucher, it said it was unavailable too. We would have flagged this with a staff member but it appears they were super busy and understaffed. We didn’t have time to wait with our baby. It’s a shame because we are regular customers but feel that the standard has slipped massively from only last month.

I love wagamamas , and have done since I first tried 10 years ago. We had an issue with my son meal , and we weren't fussed about it as we had already paid, and he ate most of it. But I thought it would be best to let them know just in case it happened again. But the way Dan, the manager, and I didn't catch the girl name , dealt with it was amazing. I honestly can't thank you enough for what you did for us . Again thank you so much !!!

Me and my boyfriend stopped by cheshire oaks wagamamas for lunch whilst doing some shopping on new years. I have been to multiple different wagamamas around the country and all of them were excellent however this one was awful. The service was poor (took them almost 30 minutes to clear our plates) and the staff were all very flippant and almost rude when serving us. The food came out quickly but was of poor quality. My noodles in my pad thai were hard & my partners chicken ramen had absolutely no taste and the pork bao buns had a tiny slither of meat and a cold slice of apple. Absolutely awful experience, i would recommend skipping cheshire oaks wagas and going to a better location (literally any of them).

My daughter wanted to go to a Wagamama as she’s a teenager and her friends had hyped it up. Being an adult, and was aware it was a ‘chain’ restaurant so didn’t have high hopes. We were seated then by a lovely female staff member who then wrote on our menu the name of the person who would be our ‘ server’ during our meal (i might be old be old fashioned but im sure we never used to call staff members ‘servers’🤷♀️..and i’ve worked in the hospitality trade for over 30 yrs and i would never, ever refer to a staff member as a ‘server’, wtf). Anyway, food order was duly taken, one meal arrived about 8 minutes before the other, which isn’t really acceptable…wagamamas is a noodle fast food restaurant, the same as any fast food restaurant /chain….if macdonalds can make sure everyone eats a burger at the same time i’m sure wagamama’s could make sure their reheated rice and noodles can come out together?🤔. Food was ok (not authentic, and obviously not fresh, rice was a solid lump of crap) its rebated , horrible , takeaway food at premium price and I get that. Pop up street food stalls will and are, wiping the floor with places like this and wagamamas will be a thing of the past in 10yrs time, next time .

Always enjoyed the food served at Wagamama. Both myself and my husband are lifelong vegetarians and have tried many different dishes over the years and especially enjoy when they bring out new vegetarian dishes. The yasai yaki soba with mushrooms and udon noodles is always my go-to as it’s always consistently tasty and filling. However I recently tried their new coconut based kare lomen and I have to say I cannot wait to re-vist here just to have this dish again! My husband usually goes for the pad Thai and even he said the new kare lomen was amazing. It’s so full of Unami flavour and garnished perfectly. The fake chicken that comes with the dish is very tasty and generous, lots of beansprouts too which is a bonus as I love the crunchy texture it added. We also had the new vegan k-dogs for a shared starter. For a vegan starter that’s a little different it’s very good. Could have done with a little more flavour and coating was a bit dry, cheese sauce in the Center was a little lacking. Onto the not so great. Once seated we waited quite a while to get our drinks order taken. After this we again had to wait for our food order to be taken to the point where we had to flag someone down to take our order. I understand it was a Friday evening but there were lots of staff floating around. After we were finished my husband went to the bathroom while I paid and finished my drink while waiting for him. After I paid the waitress came and took our dishes, a few minutes later she returned and took the rest then seemed to hover around. After this she came over and said do you mind if I wipe the table, you can’t really refuse so of course I replied with a smile. I did feel very uncomfortable like I was being ushered out while waiting for my husband to come out of the bathroom as she wiped the table while I was still sitting there…

We ordered 2 different dishes and a sauce to go with one. The 2 drinks we ordered took longer than normal to come out and the dish with the extra sauce came out without the sauce. We waited 10 minutes for the sauce with the meal it was ordered to go with getting cold. I asked one server who I cannot name as no name badge was worn, about the sauce explaining the dish was going cold and she said she would sort it but carried on serving others. Then I asked another server, who did the exact same. I cannot name her either as it seems no name badges worn. So I went up to another male server and whilst explaining to him the 2nd server I spoke to butted in. I found that very rude! He said the chefs are really busy. I said I see that but the sauce was ordered for the meal that has been brought out and its been sat there 10 minutes getting cold. Obviously when you order a sauce to go with a meal you want it with the meal not after. Finally it was sorted. After my fiancé had eaten his meal the 1st server was quick to snatch his plate away. All in all, a terrible experience. Oh and my fiancé's meal had to be reheated as it was so cold. My meal was okay.

The food was really nice, but I really enjoyed drawing on the menus and Nikita was very understanding especially when I used her card terminal as a phone. I think she thinks I have run away from my full-time carer, but she gave me metal cutlery all the same. Very busy Saturday afternoon where we were greeted by a friendly and efficient Team member who informed us a table would be around 10 minutes, we were happy to wait and took menus to enable us to select our food We were seated in under ten minutes in a pleasant table close to the front of the restaurant Menu choice good and concise and children's options excellent Water options are a rip off I do expect to be able to get tap water in glasses but this isn't Wagamamas way! We ordered our food and I was disappointed that all of the food arrived at separate times with my dish arriving 8 minutes after the rest of the table! I raised this with a Team member who informed me that this is Wagamamas way!! Old fashioned as it maybe a table of people expect to be served at the same time to enable them to eat together! I would however add that the way the staff dealt with me was excellent and at least we know if we choose this restaurant again Toilets clean and tidy after what had been a busy day I'd it value for money? We both had some noodle dish that i can't remember the name of but both were distinctly average. Don't know what oil was used but couldn't taste any & our meals were pretty dry & had to add plenty of soy sauce. Devoid of flavour & the prawns were barely visible. Don't think I'd bother again as i can easily better this at home. The decor is enough in itself not to merit a return....cold & uninspiring with a canteen feel about it.

Great place to eat if you are going on a shopping extravaganza at Cheshire Oaks. This place is a chain of 28 restaurants but please don't let that put you off. The staff are funky and bohemian a bit like Red Bull employees i.e. artistic tattoes, some body piercings and trendy ripped jeans etc so it feels like Manchester Northern Quarter or Didsbury in a shopping environment. Its great and noisy like being in London so not for that romantic meal for two! Plus the style of food is a adventure to eat so best not to wear your finest posh clothes because its highly likely that if you get stuck into one of the tasty 'raman' dishes (oriental broth to you and me) you'll end up splashing yourself even if you try to demure its impossible. So my advice is to 'go with the flow' and practice your chop-stick skills whilst tucking into one of their many fantastic oriental offerings. I have to say there was no one dish I would not eat they all look and sound great. They serve only freshly cooked food so it comes as its prepared to don't expect formulaic structure to your meal it come when it comes thats all part of the charm. Great fresh food, served in a noisy buzzy environment (if you sit in the bench tables you might find yourself sat next to a new found friend) but you can sit on a more 'private' table but it will not be quiet. Eat and enjoy! Five stars.

We were quickly shown to a table and the ordering system was explained by a lovely waitress. The menu is huge, so you have to know what type of dish you want before ordering or you will be there a while! I ordered a chilli chicken ramen which was absolutely delicious, so full of noodles, onions, chilli, coriander and chicken, fresh and flavoursome. Well, it's a Wagamama - you get the usual menu, the usual reasonable quality food and all the other usual stuff you'd expect. This branch has two great extras, though: a really nice outside seating area, and staff that really went the extra mile to explain the options available to my coeliac daughter. When the Cheshire Mills shops are closed, the colonnades nearby are great for children with lots of running, jumping and shouting opportunities. Might annoy other diners, though!
