Wagamama in Newham

Mariama and Ion were so kind, efficient and hard working with us!! They made our experience amazing. I passed a beautiful birthday party of my friend Eve. Definitely will come again!!

La comida estaba bien, el personal era amable pero totalmente abrumado. Eternamente larga espera por la comida, que a veces solo llegaba a la mesa después de una hora y repetidos recordatorios. Las bebidas (agua, cerveza - nada complicado! ) se servían después de la comida. Lástima, porque estamos acostumbrados a mucho mejor de Wagamama.

La comida aquí es tan simple, saludable y sabe fantástico! El servicio es bueno, y muy amable también! El lugar es muy agradable y se ve muy bien! Este es uno de los mejores restaurantes de Stratford, y lo recomendaría! 😀

Cenamos aquí mientras almorzábamos durante un viaje de compras. El restaurante estaba muy vacío, así que había mucho espacio. La camarera nos llevó inicialmente a nuestra mesa fue educado y tomó una orden de bebidas. Más tarde regresó para preguntarnos si estábamos listos para hacer un pedido de comida, lo que hicimos. Las bebidas fueron traídas, sin servicio al cliente, sonrisa amistosa de conversación, solo colocadas sobre la mesa. La comida llegó en una mansión oportuna, sabroso y presentado bien. Mi hija pidió otra bebida, y el servidor tomó esta solicitud, no preguntó a nadie más si necesitaban otra bebida, a pesar de que todos los vasos en la mesa estaban vacíos. Sentí que el personal podría haber sido un poco más atento a los clientes. Aprecio que este sea un restaurante de cadena, pero seguro que hay formación para el personal? Había suficiente personal, pero parecía que sus corazones no estaban en el trabajo. Es una pena, ya que la comida era agradable.

Visitado después de dejar a su hijo. Fuimos al mediodía para evitar la prisa de la hora del almuerzo. Tengo una mesa de inmediato. Lamentablemente ya no hacen los entrantes de setas así que tuvimos las galletas seguidas de pollo y fideos de langostinos.

Wagamama’s ha sido uno de nuestros favoritos durante muchos meses, pero nunca hemos tenido una experiencia como la de anoche. Del servicio sonriente a la comida excepcional! No hubo decepción aquí. Al llegar, nos dieron la bienvenida y nos sentamos en una mesa limpia. Luego fuimos recibidos por Meds que era nuestro servidor. El servicio que recibimos de Meds En nuestra opinión estaba por encima y más allá. Habló con nosotros sobre recomendaciones sobre qué comer y aunque siempre tengo la misma comida, fue capaz de recomendar un plato a Billy y fue increíble. Incluso se tomó un par de minutos para contarnos sobre algunas comidas caseras que recomendaría. Unos instantes después llegaron nuestros entrantes, el hoisin tiró de bollos de pato. Tenemos estos cada vez que visitamos un Wagamama’s, pero son de lejos los mejores que hemos probado. Eran suaves y llenos de sabor. Luego llegó nuestro calamar Tama. Nunca los habíamos probado antes y estamos muy contentos de que esta fuera nuestra primera experiencia con ellos. WOW es un eufemismo para este plato. La forma en que se desmoronaron en tu boca, la textura y el crujido que tienen. Sabores que nunca antes habíamos experimentado con ningún alimento. Poco después llegaron las comidas principales. Yo mismo, tenía soba de pato saku saku y Billy tenía el petardo de gambas. Esto fue recomendado por Meds ya que habíamos expresado su amor por la comida caliente, pero nunca podemos encontrar un plato lo suficientemente caliente. Este plato es definitivamente caliente y en lo alto de la escala Scoville. Los langostinos eran jugo y perfectamente cocidos junto al arroz esponjoso. Ambas comidas fueron fenomenales. Las palabras no pueden expresar lo sabrosa, deliciosa y deliciosa que era toda la comida anterior. Más tarde fuimos recibidos por la gerente Emma, que expresamos nuestra gratitud y comentarios positivos también. Después de unos instantes de conversación con Emma se fue a continuar con su velada, hasta unos instantes después cuando regresó. Emma había ido y compartido nuestros comentarios con Laiba, que era el chef que había cocinado y preparado el calamar Tama y nos hizo saber cuánto apreciaba nuestros comentarios. Los chefs de cualquier establecimiento nunca reciben el crédito que merecen. Laiba entonces nos ofreció el katsu de plátano en la casa. Un plato que nunca habíamos probado previamente y mi palabra era que era el mejor postre que he tenido el placer de disfrutar! Definitivamente ahora es mi favorito y sin duda lo volveré a tener. Luego hablé con Emma de nuevo para preguntarle si podía conocer personalmente a Laiba y agradecerle yo mismo por la increíble comida que pudimos experimentar. Gracias a todos los que hicieron nuestra experiencia tan increíble como lo fue anoche. Esperamos volver y visitarlo de nuevo. Charlotte y Billy.

La comida no se junta. Terminé mi sopa antes de que viniera la sopa de mi colega. 2 sopas, 1 té y 1 jugo por 40 GBP es muy caro.

Hoy, fui a almorzar con mi familia a Wagamama Stratford, esperando probar un nuevo plato. Sin embargo, el camarero me informó que si quería pedirlo, tomaría al menos 25 minutos, si tenía suerte. Encontré esto muy difícil de creer. El restaurante estaba casi vacío, y no estaba ocupado en absoluto, así que no entiendo por qué un plato ( ( ( Pollo crujiente Sambal Fry) ) no se podía servir en un tiempo razonable. He estado muy decepcionado con el servicio de hoy; fue bastante impactante. Yo mismo trabajo en la industria de restaurantes, y no puedo creer el mal servicio que experimenté en Wagamama hoy.

La comida tarda siglos en llegar, la gente persigue la comida, la gente pide pedir y no puede. En general, no está muy bien dirigido.

Nicole was very helpful and attentive. Great with giving food recommendations and keeping the vibe positive. Food was okay ish, over priced for what it is (except the chilli squid, my FAVEEEE)

I always have a fantastic experience at my local Wagamama. The food is quick, delicious, and the service from Chloe, Franek, and Nicole is exceptional. Even though I was just popping in for a quick solo lunch, they made me feel valued and ensured my visit was both easy and enjoyable. Keep up the great work!

I’m well known in my family for loving Wagamama! IT is my absolute favourite and I’ve enjoyed it locally on Wales, and as far as Dubai too! The first meal we ate on honeymoon in Dubai was at Wagamama, so no matter where we go. We find my favourite. We have eaten in Stratford Wagamama quite a few times and always say the food is good but the customer service isn’t ‘as good’ as others we have used. Yesterday was the worst we have experienced in terms of what I can only describe as robotic staff! It’s a game day so it’s busy with just a few empty tables around us. Although, the takeaway facility is non stop, a constant flow of bagging up food. Our server was so robotic, didn’t ask if we had visited before (first question always asked here) so she went through all the details, fine. She may be new so we politely thanked her but there was no smiles. My husband always banters and that went down like a lead balloon. She gave us her name to complete feed back, we won’t be doing that as it would be honest so we will spare that at least! 3 staff argued, yes they argued in front of customers. From what we could work out, one of the diners was not served a meal, and they were blaming the one lady for not adding it to the order. The argument was “I did” which one replied “no you didn’t” and the other said “she definitely didn’t” the lady repeated with a little more gusto this time “YES, I did” and so it went on and she walked away from the situation, you didn’t etc! So unprofessional and we felt sorry for the ‘accused’ too who had these 2 female staff on at her. Each dish was placed on our table with no eye contact and not even asked who it was for. My dishes are always vegetarian and we are always asked who each dish is for, I had squid thrown in front of me (it’s fine, I can handle this! I’m not that bad, but make eye contact, smile, ask who the dish is for, it’s pretty basic stuff) No smiles, just staff walking through the restaurant with trays, speedily walking past and placing dishes on tables. Some dishes were placed on wrong tables and customers and staff were calling out about this. It was chaos! As we all know with Wagamama, dishes come out when ready, but for the first time my husband was sat without a meal while I almost finished mine, it was a long wait for his dish and I ate alone and then finished while he ate. Not the social eating experience we like. I had also finished my drink and wasn’t offered another. Now. I understand busy. I appreciate how hard everyone works, and I want to highlight that staff were working extremely hard, some were speed walking! Some clearly didn’t have time for their break as they grabbed a bite of food from a table at the corner and walked around serving while still chewing what they could. BUT, This isn’t a customer issue! Staff arguing, running around and visibly stressed does not create a nice atmosphere for paying customers. This is a management issue. There were a lot of staff so I’m not sure what the answer is? Less customers allowed in, or reduce takeaway orders? I don’t know. What I do know is your staff appear stretched, unhappy and have absolutely no time for customer service. Food was good Will we be back, not to this one. Miserable staff. Smiling is basic. Staff - if you’re not happy in your job, find another one, customers do not need to feel uncomfortable around you. Management - Look after your staff and your staff will look after your customers

First time in a wagamama, could of gone better. The first impressions where grate and no wait time. Once we got seated the benches had no padding and which made it uncomfortable which stander for wagamama (so I've been told). The tropical drink was delicious and food was good to. Don't drink the red bottle, not a healing potion

Worst Wagamama experience in over 20 years. Granted it was a busy day, but our drinks arrived after we had nearly finished our meal and the order was wrong. When I politely brought this to the attention of one of the staff and asked to speak to a manager, she got very aggressive and confrontational and told me no managers were available. I paid the bill and walked away in order to de-escalate the situation, as she was just getting increasingly aggressive and I didn't want to cause a scene. She bid me farewell with a facetious "have a nice day".

RED FLAG !!!!!! They cook the chicken in the same oil as the prawns and shrimp !!!!!!!!!!!!! For someone who is has a fish allergy RED FLAG !!!!! I have a fish allergy never been an issue before, in any restaurant I go to! Was told a manager had to take our order as there was an allergy, fine the Manager Emma looked like we were putting her out as she had to do this , she informed us about how the chicken is cooked in the same oil alongside the prawns and shrimp ! Much to my horror I said can it not be cooked separate as I have a fish allergy especially to shell fish . No it can’t be she told us I would have to maybe have basic plain chicken ??? Upon hearing this news I couldn’t trust that the chicken would not be contaminated by the fish as like Emma said it’s all cooked together ! Even tho my dish has no fish at all with it . But we were told that vegetarians have their food cooked separately, I pointed out that a vegetarian won’t be ill if they eat meat it’s a choice thing as to where someone with a fish allergy could be seriously unwell in hospital. No where does it state in the restaurant on menus on their website that the chicken and fish are cooked in the same oil / together this is unacceptable as I’m sure if it was displayed for people to see this then people can make a choice not to sit down and then be told this information. The reason given they can’t Cook the chicken and fish separately is because of the kitchen it’s to small …… poor excuse in my opinion I feel it’s rather lazy. It’s states on the website all allergy’s are catered for well clearly not wagamamas just poor shocking service so we had to get up and leave , no apologies given to us she just let us leave !

Hmm…just desserts. We only wanted coffee and desserts for 3. Finally got the ok that we could. 2 desserts arrived with coffee and we waited and waited for the third. Had to chase for that and it finally arrived after the first 2 were finished. Meringue cake was good but they had run out of the cherry compote so was a little dry. The basque cheesecake ok. The banana katsu delicious.

Really poor service, missing items on both food and drinks service. Good fresh food though. Could obviously not tip the waitress.

It was very busy but service wasn’t too bad. My husband had raw chicken in his noodles, I was very sick 90 minutes after leaving the restaurant. The online customer service has been terrible, Wagamama take no responsibility for a spoiled evening.

We were staying overnight in the area to attend the ABBA Voyage experience. Our hotel was situated near to the Westfield shopping centre which houses this restaurant. Pre show we shared a starter of chilli squid and a main of teryaki chicken both of which were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would visit again if in the area and would thoroughly recommend to others.

I have really enjoyed visits to Wagamama over the years because of their friendly staff, quick service and decent food, but this experience at the Stratford branch has completely put me off ever returning. It was the most disappointing and frustrating experience I have had by far. No one came to take our order - we had to get the attention of one of the waiters to do so, which proved difficult despite the Stratford branch having a very large number of staff (none of whom seem to want to do their job). It was another long wait before 1 dish arrived (almost half an hour). Then, it was another long wait with no drink or food coming out. We had to flag down one of the waiters to ask what was going on and if they could check on our order. Eventually, the drinks came and the remainder of the dishes, but when they arrived, they had got the order wrong and given us an extra starter. When we told them the order was wrong, the waitress said we could have it on the house. The food arrived lukewarm. Wagamama staff always talk about how all food is cooked fresh to order and each dish is brought out as soon as it’s ready, but it seemed like these dishes had been sitting on the side for a while. The standard of food at this Wagamama is worse than a lot of other branches I’ve been to, so I would avoid this one at all costs. When it came to paying the bill, we tried doing it using the QR code system, but the bill was wrong as they had charged us for the extra starter (which was supposed to be on the house). We had to ask a waiter to amend the bill. He went to the computer to make the change and said it had been amended. However when we checked again, there was no change. As we could not get the attention of another waiter, we had to go up to them at the till point to explain the situation again. The staff didn’t seem to be interested in serving their customers - it was almost as if customers were a nuisance to them. There was also only 1 girl at the bar making up the drinks orders and doing so very slowly. On top of all of this, this branch seems to do a lot of business through online food delivery apps - there was a constant stream of delivery drivers walking through the restaurant and standing around and hanging out next to the kitchen, scrolling on their phones which really spoils the ambience. The size of the kitchen and the number of chefs is too small to have all these takeaway orders being made as well as serving a full restaurant. The quality of the food and the service suffers terribly. I hope Wagamama management take note of this and work on a solution.

I went to this place for dinner couple of days ago. We were seated almost immediately at table "1411" but it took almost 20 minutes and a few nudges before the waitress turned up to take our order. She looked quite uninterested in what we wanted to order and in fact got the simplest drink order of regular Asahi bottles wrong. We received 2 large bottles which we returned and then the no Asahi beer arrived at all. The food items came a lot more randomly than they usually do at Wagamama and after a long long wait. The waitress never bothered to check on us to see if we have received anything. The chicken katsu salad which I had ordered looked like a dish someone has prepared just before finishing his/her shift; all greens cut in haste with hardly any chicken in it!! All in all a huge disappointment. I understand Wagamama employ students as waiters to save on the salaries, but they charge top $ for the food . So it would be nice if they teach some basic courtesy to their staff. To sum up, horrendous service, bad food and a disappointing night!! Have vowed never to enter this restaurant again.

We were down in London for a few days and ordered a Deliveroo to our apartment. The food was hot and delicious, perfect end to a tiring day travelling.

Visiting daughter and partner in London after several months due to having major surgery. Came to Wagamamas in Westfield for a special lunch. What an appalling experience we had. Got seated in a corner and left for 20 minutes and had to go and ask a member of staff to take both our food and drink order. Then another wait before our drinks arrived and eventually our food. After finishing the meal we had another long wait of around 15 minutes before daughter went and asked a waitress for our bill as we had a train to catch. Bill eventually came and I checked it. The waitress had the cheek to ask if I wanted to leave a tip!! I politely declined and told her why. Non plused she replied "Oh sorry about that" I'll tell my manager and she walked away. Disgraceful service which totally ruined a special family lunch .

Having been to this restaurant many times, horrified to be served a RAW chicken and prawn Pad Thai.... kindly offered an alternative but just ruined our lunch

Maden rigtig god, nogle ansatte burde fyres..!! Vi bestiller, med ekstra ris ved siden af… vi modtager kun ris, ingen hovedret.. maden kommer som den har lyst og er færdig så forvent ikke at spise samtidig.. og så spurgte vi tre tjenere om en flaske vand, hvor det til sidst lykkedes.. Very nice food and welcoming staff. We were greeted politely and directed to our table very quickly. Orders were taken rather rapidly and food was awesome. We had Chicken Ramen and Salmon Salad and crispy butterfly prawns as well as mini duck wraps. Green tea is free Service was rapid despite the restaurant being full.

we had a great time, the food was fresh and tasty and after many years of visiting, this particular venue did not disappoint - only slight niggle was that it was too hot inside, but we sat close to the entrance and that seemed to help a breeze waft in :) super, helpful friendly service

This was the second time in two years I visited Wagamama at Westfield, Stratford. This was to celebrate my son's passing his A-Levels. My son wanted to go to Wagamama. The restaurant does not give you a family experience. Each group member ends up waiting 10 minutes at least a part waiting for their food. How is this a family or group experience if you cannot eat together and enjoy the food at the same time? You get a feeling of awkwardness, eating slowly as you are conscious other people on your table are also hungry and waiting for their food. Last time I visited Wagamama, they completely forgot about my younger son's order. I did not eat as I was waiting for him and my food went cold. Wagamama's 'excuse' is that the food is prepared freshly and it goes out as its gets ready. Hello? Good restaurants achieve sending out fresh food, how come its difficult for Wagamama? Disgraceful.

We like the food at Wagamama's so stopped here for a quick lunch pre-cinema. Food was fine but some of the staff were surly, uninterested and rude. We had to ask 3 times for a top up of tap water and at times it felt as though we were at a Karen's Diner (where the staff are deliberately rude). They had a real attitude and anything we asked for seemed like too much trouble. Will return to Wagamama's but not this branch!

Not the expected Wagamama experience, it was awful. Seated fairly quickly in the busy Westfield Stratford restaurant, food arrived promptly without the water requested. Quality of food was poor e.g. teriyaki chicken was dry, portion small, overloaded with sticky rice. After a second prompting our water arrived in dirty glasses with no ice. Bill requested and waitress entered the wrong amount i.e. overcharged and there was no apology. Staff were indifferent to good customer service and just couldn't care less. We will definitely not to returning.

Absolutely terrible. Came in sat down, in a format where you sit next to someone you don’t know. Then had to wait absolutely ages for someone to take my order. No one came so had to get somebody’s attention. Then when they finally came they took my order. Food arrived with no drink until after the food! I was soooo thirsty and asked for tap water which never CAME! Terrible experience- never again. Especially when it was my birthday!

Came for a meal after the Abba Voyager concert before getting the train home. Was very busy and not all the staff were great - we stood at the door for a while and at least two members of staff walked past without even making eye contact. Menu is typical Wagamama fare and it is obviously not cooked from scratch as it arrives far too quickly but we enjoyed the two meals we had none the less. Service is good rather than exceptional - the restaurant is just too big and the staff don't seem to have allocated areas but come and go at random Good value for London though
