Waaghoba in Norwich

Ordered a delivery from this place and after waiting for nearly two hours with no contact, they cancelled it. The food is over priced and service is a complete joke. Avoid at all costs. Never before have I been so disgusted with a business. No offer of any compensation or apology, just damn right out of order. USE THIS BUSINESS AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

We had a takeaway (so no rating for atmosphere!)...but it was a very good meal! The first time we've found vada pav here; really good, genuine-tasting spicing; excellent lamb! And not a hint of Patak....all-in-all, a pleasure.

food was late, but warm. worst naan I've ever had. rogan josh was good, rest of it average at best. Will revert back to my local instead

Very good quality food. The food is very tasty, authentic Indian style, home cooked food The delivery is very quick.. We have had food so many times every dish has some speciality.Vada pav, samosa , butter chicken, chicken 65, paneer butter masala every dish was lovely... The most important is made with love.

Just attended a private party and the food was catered by Waaghoba, both veg & non veg dishes were excellent, very tasty and full of flavour, highly recommend you give them a try

I really enjoyed the food, particularly the fish starter I had. I found the quantity less overwhelming than some other outlets. The food was light, great flavour and the poppadam mix was different with a bit of spice which was nice.

The food was pretty good but its very expensive. The boxes are okay but the prawns i got were 7£ (pic attached) and were very small.... and wayyy too salty. Other than that i enjoyed the box i got and the paratha.

Since moving from London, I’ve struggled to find authentic Indian food, especially street food. I have finally found it here! The food is absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We will now be regular customers and I’m so pleased to found Waaghoba. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Was late because driver didn't read quite detailed directions. Also, didn't order onion bhajis because it said they would come free with the amount we have spent, but then the driver said that offer had finished. Food was excellent as usual.

I love all of the dishes that I've tried from this restaurant. They're always delivered quickly, on time, and are hot. No complaints from me!

Not the usual indian we are used to, as more authentic to Indian home cooking, and a bit too spicy for us, however, very kind honest people, very clean, would recommend to others .

waaghooba's food quantity is becoming lesser over time. The chicken in Biryani was slightly undercooked too. Please maintain the food quality & quantity worth the price.

First time ordering for delivery. I ordered the “curry on eating box” with paneer butter masala, kadhai chicken, daal, naan and a side of onion bhajis. Food was SO delicious and a really nice heat on the chicken dish. Arrived piping hot and packaging was nice. Really recommend this place!

Not very nice, ordered a biriani, what turned up seemed to be a lamb vindalo complete with potatoes, with rice on top, my wife's indo Chinese meal which was chicken tasted the same, good ingredients but neither were what was ordered.

My order was delivered one hour from normal time. This is happening second time from this restaurant

Both curries were quite greasy. Not up to the standard when they first opened. Haven’t ordered from Waaghoba for a while after a poor order over a year ago. Will not be going back

Was 20 minutes late but they apologised. Food was exquisite as usual.

Delicious authentic Indian food!! My favourite was the lamb biryani. The lamb was tender and flavourful with the perfect amount of spice and the rice was fluffy. The butter chicken was also really nice and not greasy like other Indian takeaways.

I often order Biryani bento from here. Most of the times it's delicious, and then other times it is either burnt or bland. Chilli Chicken was good. Samosas were great, but they sent us two tiny ones when the menu photo displays four. Indo chinese box was not so good.. very bland and flavours were off.

Fantastic food. Really enjoyed my meal. The kadhai chicken was super spicy, moist and flavorful. The bahjis, naan and rice were also tasty.

The food portions are not the best. Got the £18 pound treatbox which comes with 2 pieces of naan, small portions of rice & 3 curries in a lunch box & 4 tiny samosas. The food will just barely feed 2 ppl. The butter chicken was fine, can’t remember the other 2. Nothing special. Overall not very impressed it was just eh

You know its bad when you take the time to leave negative feedback. Having spent considerable time in Nepal we found a love for Indo Chinese cuisine and have been waiting to try this as there are few restaurantsin the UK who offer dishes like manchurian. Needless to say we were very very disappointed. Firstly, the delivery took 1.5 hours so the food was cold when it arrived. It took 2 phone calls to locate the driver who had apparently left the restaurant 40 mins prior to finally arriving. The complimentary onion bhaji for spending over 20 didn't arrive either. Broken promises. The food was the most bland 'indian' food I've ever eaten. The saag paneer had 0 seasoning. The daal was watery and not even a hint of garlic. The manchurian was in a congealed state and had no texture. It took 1.5 hours to arrive and 1.5 seconds to throw in the bin. For 30 quid I could have dined out.

Nice idea with the bento boxes however the curries were not as flavourful as I've had in other places, prices are a bit on the high side but it's Inflation, no freebies in my order which I'd wanted as I spent over £40 no free sauce or complimentary drinks, overall 3 star is deserving but can do better if they fix issues

Vegetable Bhuna was delicious with actual Asian vegetables incorporated into the dish which makes it quite special compared with other Indian takeaways in this city

Foods box set and Aloo chat were good. However, Papdi chat was very bad in taste. Delivery service person was arrogant and talking rubbish not sure why he was opening his mouth whereas he just had to give Delivery.

Absolutely incredible food would definitely go back. Had quite a few vegan options and the staff were very friendly and were very reassuring about what was vegan or not. The nicest onion bahji's they tasted so good and homemade. The currys were all different flavours and the dahl was so lovely and spicy. Would definitely recommend this takeaway to anyone who is nearby.

The chicken and fish were over cooked in the curries so the taste wasn’t great. I had placed an order around half 6 and requested for the order to be delivered at half 7. The wait time shown on just eat was 20-45 minutes. Our order arrived at 8:20 with no delay update until I had to prod the restaurant to ask where the order is. I understand these things happen but at least communicate and don’t have your order time period displayed 20-45 minutes if it’s not the case.

missing item, nothing worse when what you ordered arrives, although you get refund not the same meal

I didn't get my full order. My drink was missing. I these times, 'high cost of living', every penny counts. ☹️

A bit dissapointed with this order since they changed their Schezwan Wings. They used to be more like buttermilk wings and quite big but this order they had no coating and were very small... The curry and everything else was as good as normal but the wing change was very dissapointing....

This is the only takeaway in Norwich which provides restaurant quality food every time in my opinion. In cooking , time is of the essence. The longer the better for a proper curry

One of the best Indian meals I have had - I have been looking for Chicken 65 for a long time along with Gobi Manchurian so highly delighted to find both here! I would like some gravy with the chicken 65 though so next time will ask for it - highly recommended

Keep it going, looking forward for Indochinese box, I have become such a regular customer that I had an opportunity to taste the new additions to the menu. Now I have lost count of takeaway/delivery orders. I have tried every curry (and combination of curries with curry on eating box) on the menu. Not a single star I can takeaway for this outlet. Although my all time favourites include fish curry, chicken Kolhapuri and delhi wala butter chicken, tofu palak, paneer kadhai and assorted veg bhuna, lamb dishes are also outstandingly delicious. Every dish including rice ans naan are perfectly made fresh. The only thing I would suggest is to have curry only eating box, that allows me to feast on my favourite delicious authentic dish with a choice of naan (with chicken and lamb) and rice with fish curry. First time in past 10yrs I had a Bombay fish curry made to such a great authentic taste from this palce. I won't hesitate to give this place 7 stars for fish curry, delhi butter chicken and Kadhai paneer. This outlet provides authentic all round Indian dinner. My search for a proper Indian takeaway dinner in Norwich ends, this is the place I would order, if I don't feel like cooking any day. Very kind reception, tasty authentic food, good selection of dishes in the menu which I hope would grow with time, selection of portion size to suite small to big appetite. Must try if you are after a proper Indian takeaway dinner. For those who are looking for a sweet korma or a bland butter chicken, time to have authentic Indian taste buds. This place unfortunately is not a usual "Indian" takeaway i.e. food cooked by anyone but an Indian chef.

Really really tasty! Curry and Dhal were thinner in consistency than I expected but perfect for mixing with the rice :) The fish was amazing! Highly recommend!

I could tell you about how it’s not the cheapest or it may be a bit spicy for some or the portions aren’t absolutely massive but I won’t say that. What I will say is it’s the best Indian takeaway in Norwich and it’s not even close.

I recently ordered food from this Indian takeaway restaurant and it was absolutely fantastic! The food was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and every dish was packed with authentic Indian spices and flavors. What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff were friendly, attentive and went above and beyond to ensure my order was correct and delivered in a timely manner. They even included complimentary extras, which was a lovely surprise and made me feel like a valued customer. I rarely leave reviews but this restaurant deserves one. The best curry I have had in Norwich and it’s nice to have a little selection of different ones. Food always early.

Sad to see food quantity and quality both compromising. I had been a regular over the years but, now, have to rethink. The Biryani was overspiced along with too much oil and had half of the chicken pieces as compared to before. There were Chicken Tikka Boti instead of Kebabs. So, not worth the cost at all. :-(

Very Dry and chewy chicken And quite a Small portion of meat. Very watery daal. Over spiced could not eat If i wanted hot spice i would have ordered it. Really Not worth money paid. Far Better Indians to be had in norwich.

Lovely food, We had 3 curries and all had their own distinct flavour and depth unlike a lot of takeaways. Food arrived hot and on time. Will order again and recommend.

We have tried a few times through delivery (Gobi Manchurian, Chicken 65, Chilli Chicken, Curry Box, Onion Bhajis, Jeera rice, Chicken Biryani and Lamb Biryani). Food is really amazing and very tasty. I would vouch it for the best authentic South Indian taste available in Norwich. Though the quantity might be little less, which is justified with the quality and the taste I am really convinced. We love it and will keep ordering.

The food is very good and the delivery lady was polite and on time. Unfortunately, for me, the dahl and curry was just far too spicy! The naan and samosas were lovely as was the rice.

I visited this place for the first time and it smelt lovely but when we go to eat the food it was absolutely disgusting I then left my food and went straight down lucky tandoori and got the best food for the money would not recommend at all waste of money
