Viva Afrik in Waltham Forest

Invited by my two cousins and with a couple of friends we came here and what a lovely evening. Nice atmosphere, friendly and the food was excellent, we all had different dishes and I plumped for the Lamb Jalfrezi which was excellent. Staff very helpful and very attentive, a really nice dining experience.

I bought a take away leaf doner wrap, I had to eat it out of respect for the blessing, I saw minced meat from a döner pot, it was the first time from a leaf pot, I hope you will be a little more careful about your work, not everyone will eat like me, no matter what you give them.

Most of the things I asked for on the menu, they didn't have, so ended up with jollof rice and fried plantain - which was ok, nothing special. Gulder was overpriced at £8/bottle and, unfortunately, Id sat in the back section which had an overwhelming smell of bad drains from the toilet - overall, not a great experience.

Lovely staff, great sports, pricey bit you can't have everything.

We were there for a birthday meal with 11 of us. Amazing food. Staff are so lovely and made us feel so welcome. We had the prosecco brunch which amazing value for money. Will definitely be back. Totally recommend.
