This place never disappoints,food was great,service great and atmosphere was fairly quiet which is good so that there isn't too much chatter from other diners,portion sizes are generous,so best to go with an empty stomach,will go again in the future

Looking for something to eat before attending a gig & decided to try here. Nobody else in restaurant at the time which sometimes raises a concern at 6.00pm on a Friday night but nothing to worry about. Warm welcome & food was delicious. I had the moussaka which was delicious but a portion so big Ihad to leave some. Definitely on my list to visit again

The restaurant looks homely and comfortable. The lady serving seems nice and attentive. We were excited to eat fresh prawns and lovely Mediterranean food but unfortunately the food was not fresh. It was dry, bland and stale. Some of the starters were ok but some were a bit off. It's a pity because it could be so much better with so much fresh produce easily available in the vicinity. Just a few changes could make this restaurant good again as it used to be in past years.

We came here midweek after work, having discovered it on the basis of the positive reviews...and we certainly weren't disappointed. From the moment we walked in, the welcome was incredibly warm and friendly. We chose the mix meze and I can't remember the last time I saw so much food! The starters were uniformly excellent, so tasty that it was difficult to stop eating them! Dips, pitta, meatballs, halloumi and so much more. A huge Greek salad. Pork chops, shish kebabs, kofte. Just so hugely enjoyable with superb service - we simply couldn't finish it because there was so much! With drinks, we paid £135 for 5 of us and we agreed that it was great value for money. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place. Loved it.

Not many places like this left in London. Decent home cooking with massive portions, good price and served with a smile. Yes, decor is in need of refreshing but it's all about food... Mixed grill and shish kofta were great, came with refreshing salad. Kids meatballs didn't go with our little one as they are heavy on mint... overall great expirence and value for money. I would most likely advice owner to slim down menu - tad overwhelming with choice...

SO good! Really really flavourful and tasty dishes - all fresh and piping hot! As others have said, portions are MASSIVE, too. Although the place is a tad small and not the most glamorous of Greek restaurants, the menu is extensive, food is brilliant and so reasonably priced. Such a hidden gem!

Big portions and family atmosphere. We had lamb leg with delicious sauce, prawns and calamari to start with. T-bone steak wash juicy and tender. We left full and happy having bottle of wine and everything with reasonable prices.

Ate here on Saturday night. Made to feel very welcome. When the food came it was delicious. We had pudding too which was a massive portion. Will definately visit again when we are in London. Thank you.

What a wonderful surprise to find this authentic Greek food restaurant on our way home through Shepherd's Bush. Fantastic food, freshly prepared and lovingly presented by the owners Sam and Evi who have been 31 years in the business. If you want good food, great wine, excellent quality and super friendly service this the place to come.

Luckily didn't actually get to sample the food.. The service was non existant do after 10 mins of being ignored in a completely empty restaurant we got up and left..

Have known this family business for years but the food served in these times is absolutely atrocious and definately not fresh, having visited after several years I was subjected to an hour of regurgitating having only consumed a leg of the chicken bought when affording courtesy in calling to query if chicken fresh and cooked from screi was met with critisim and told to not return. the The chicken had a peculiar of the smell whic led to my query I am disappointed in the attitude and will be contacting Environmental health at H&F :Council as this needs investigation pronto stay away, and had I seen last review of the I would have stayed away, I am more annoyed that I was not afforded respect when calling to advise I was ill 🤒

After all the good reviews maybe my expectations were too high? Terrible food - nothing like what I've had in Greece - and I've been quite a few times! Food was NOT FRESH! Tzatskiki tasted like the stuff from a ready-made packet! Dolmades had a kind of 'fart' taste - and covered in slimey red-sauce!? Even the Pita-bread was like the super-market kind - certainly not freshly made!!! I think theyre probably trading on past glory - but from like the 80s or 90s.

We have been visiting this wonderful, friendly family run restaurant for years and always have a great time here! Portion sizes are exceptionally generous and whatever you cannot eat you can take home in a doggy bag. I am vegan and there is plenty for me, falafel, tabbouleh, dips, vine leaves, a vegetable casserole main. I can highly recommend and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

I have been to Vini Leaves Taverna to celebrate my father’s birthday. If you’re looking for good food with reasonable price that’s the place! We had an amazing mussaka, calamari and my favourite Spanakopita. I highly recommend a visit.

We have been coming to this restaurant for years and the food is always excellent. Best Greek/Cypriot food we have ever had. We came today with our 2.5 year old baby and he enjoyed the mousaka as much as the lamb shish kebabs. We hope to keep coming back to this restaurant as it has never let us down and the service is always very, very good. Highly recommended.

Went here after looking at reviews on TA The food was really good and we opted for the meze which was 17.95 each but lots of plates deivered all of high quality. The restaurant wasnt very busy and was a little unclean (tables sticky) and surprisingly no greek zorba style music in the background playing but hey its all about the food which was great just a few tweeks would make this place unbelievable

Ok, es barato y las porciones son grandes, pero ¡cariño!No podía comer nada excepto el chapuzón de yogur. El resto de nuestros 8 platos fueron realmente horribles. En su mayoría empacados en esas desagradables cajas de poliestireno, una de las cuales se había volcado e inclinado sobre todo lo demás en la bolsa. Este fue el ajo setas. Lo resolvimos mediante un proceso de deducción de nuestro pedido. Qué absolutamente desagradable se veía. Scampi fue la variedad rebozada (reformada) que se obtiene en pubs desagradables. El chapuzón de berenjena era demasiado salado y no agradable. Las pastas Filo se cocinaban en aceite horrible y algunas de ellas solo tenían un magro raspado de relleno. El queso con chile parecía estar muy viejo y olía mal. Y así.En general, una experiencia terrible. Una de las peores comidas que hemos tenido.¿Este lugar ha cambiado de manos? ¿O han estado allí tanto tiempo que ya no pueden ser molestados?

The good part is the food - Traditional Greek dishes done well. I ordered a starter of Spanakopita - Spiniach and Feta pastries as a starter which were crisp and filling followed by a beef Stifado which was rich and tender all accompined by a Mythos beer. This reminds me of my Greek Island holidays here in London. The owner clearly loves the food they cook and are proud of it. The trap they have fallen into is oversized portions. My portion was about three times too big and accompanied by a admittedly fresh and tasty salad, but one I didnt order. My advice to the owner is cut your portions by about a half to a third, drop your prices slightly and you should see your footfall increase because this little taverna deserves an atmosphere to match the cooking. The decor is also a bit tired. Just removing the forest of plants and trellace from the frobt windows would make things seem much more welcoming.

Houmous was ice cold, salad undressed, meat overcooked, extra bread ordered didn't arrive. Staff were nice though

Optamos por una selección de aperitivos vegetarianos (6 entre 2 personas) en lugar de un plato principal para poder degustar varios platos. Al final estuvimos muy llenos y satisfechos. ¡Otra vez probablemente no pediría tanto! La cuenta era muy razonable también.

La cocina griega parafernalia griega está ahí, la comida basura que es una versión en inglés de la mala comida griega de la taberna de la isla. Después de cinco años de regresar a las hojas de parra. Que ha cambiado poco desde que fuimos desde 1998 hasta 2011, esta es una buena cosa. El restaurante es un oasis en Uxbridge Road, el personal es siempre alegre y la comida sigue viniendo. Nos acordamos de ir fácil en nuestra primera vez y pedí el meze mine - un montón! Incluyendo el vino la factura estaba muy, muy razonable. Una lástima no más clientes en una tarde soleada el jueves hojas de parra merece prosperar.

Me estaba quedando en Shepherd's Bush la noche anterior al fútbol en Wembley y me apetecía algo griego antes de mis vacaciones en un par de semanas en Kefalonia.

Es un verdadero placer para comer en este maravilloso restaurante acogedor. El chef y su esposa hacen que el atmosphfere excepcional. He estado en muchos restaurantes de todo el mundo griego, pero noe de ellos podría superar el de pastores Bush. Me encantó cada minuto.

This is a family run restaurant that serves a wide selection of Cypriot food, veggie, meat and seafood.It is well worth visiting here if you are in the Shepherds Bush area. I normally have the excellent moussaka, but this time tried a chicken and mushroom dish. Beautiful. The portions are big. The staff are lovely.

We had the mixed meze for £18 each, which came with numerous nice dips with pita, an ok Greek salad, many quite nice pastries but an average meat platter to finish (but still large!)

I came here with my mum and sister before a gig - we opted to have the mixed mezze and we were not disappointed; such a great variety of food and we were so full afterwards.

Met here for a meal before theatre at the Bush so was a bit early and so eating in an empty restaurant does lack atmosphere.

The waitress was very friendly. . .very helpful and tknowledgeable about the food twhich was amazing . . .can't wait to go back

10 of us went for a Greek Orthodox baptism and the food was amazing, fresh and brilliant value for money. I went for the mixed meze which was huge amount of delicious food for a great price. Very welcoming environment, great deals which I want to go back and try so much more of the menu. Highly recommend!!

Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and generous portions

Delicious food and warm service. This is another great local I love to frequent. The food is quality in quantities and never leaves you wanting. I've been here many times with friends and family over the last 5 years. They have a friendly casual atmosphere and play Greek music in the evenings. Especially love their varied appetiser dishes which can be in place of a mains, and their sirloin steak with grilled king prawns is to die for!! I've had my 30th here and many a dinner with friends.

Visited this restaurant for my 30th birthday with my family. It was recommended by my fiancés family who have been visiting this restaurant for years and I must say I can see why. The food is delicious, portion sizes are excellent, service brilliant and the atmosphere impeccable. My boyfriend has recently moved to SheBu and we always end up going to Westfield for food. Not this time. Last night 4 of us had a wonderful meal at this friendly local restaurant.The "mini" mezze is anything but (see photo) and at £12.95 per person it's a steal! You get a whole variety of food which is fantastic for indecisive eaters like yours truly.My boyf had the chicken escalope with garlic butter which was also very tasty. Wine was cheap and incredibly drinkable. The bill game to £74 for bottle of wine, 1 beer, mini mezze for 3, chicken escalope with chips and salad, extra calamari and tip. Excellent value. Service was very friendly and helpful - we took all of our waitress' recommendations and loved each and every bite.Will definitely be back!

i have been with my family and some friends for dinner but we were very dissapointed from the horrible food ,not taste at all and the service was horrible and rude.i will not reccomend this place becouse u will waste your money and your time.

We took my stepson here for his birthday meal He loved it and had the Moussaka, my partner had the vegetarian Moussaka which he said was filling and delicious, and I had a fantastic array of starters as I am vegan, vegetarian dolmades, tabbouleh, falafel, hummous, baba gannoush and pitta..all of which was so tasty and lovely and very filling!!!! It was a Saturday night and the atmosphere was great, really friendly staff and a lovely family run restaurant. We had a carafe of house red which was v smooth and delicious. If you want a delicious, filling meal in a very friendly and cosy restaurant I would highly recommend a visit to the Vine Leaves!! We can't wait to go back!!!

The meze is spectacular. I don't have much experience with Greek food, so the option to try so many different dishes at once was a godsend. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the staff is fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend you stop by, especially with a group to try the meze!

I came here on a two-week vacation visiting my friends in London. They said this was a good place to come to dinner and they couldn't have been more spot on. We got the Mix Meze and it was so many courses of such good food. I would rate 6 stars if I can and would definitely come again.

Vine Leaves is very close to the Shepherd's Bush Market tube station, perfect for me and my friends when we were absolutely famished getting off of there.Coming from California, I thought we would've had some pretty authentic Greek restaurants, but the food here was absolutely the most authentic Greek food I've ever had! They had plenty of vegetarian options, so I ordered moussaka and some grilled halloumi along with a spread of dips with pitta to share among ourselves. The baklava was served warm and perfectly drizzled with honey and topped with pulverised nuts. Everything was super flavourful without being over-salted, and we left, stuffed and happy, for an absolutely reasonable price! Would come again with more friends!

I recently visited with my family and had a brilliant meal. Great friendly atmosphere with authentic Greek cooking. Our group had a mixture of fish and meat dishes and enjoyed every mouthful!

This place is amazing! I got the chicken kebab, hummus and pitta, and Greek salad. Everything tasted very authentic and flavorful and the prices were very reasonable. For dessert, I had baklava, which was warm and delicious. The servers were also very nice and fun to talk to. Highly recommend!

last night my boy fiend and I went to Vine Leaves for dinner, we had 2 course Set menu; we had houmous and taramasalata for starter and for main course we had beef stifado and chicken soliatico. the food was amazing and the service was excellent with friendly staff. the price was reasonable for each meal only £ 9.95.I strongly recommend to go and try.

Came to this place as we were in the area and saw it had high rating, and I honestly can't see how! I was really excited at first as the tavern reminded me of my recent holiday in Greece, unfortunately the food did not. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains each, and the only thing that was acceptable was halloumi (well you can't spoil that!). The house wine was really bad, the spanakopita was too oily, I am sure it was cooked from frozen (I buy a similar one in the shop to cook at home), I didn't like hummus, tzadziki was so so, the chips were cooked from frozen as well - too oily and not crispy at all, soft inside and falling apart.They serve everything with the tasteless dry salad. For the mains we ordered Souvla. The only good thing I can say about it - the portions were huge, 3 steaks each, so it could feed 6 people, but if you are looking the quality over quantity I do not recommend to come here. The lamb was supposed to be marinated in wine and herbs however it was very very dry and and did not have taste. As we couldn't finish 6 steak we had to take 4 of them home, but after trying to rewarm it later on it became even worse so I just throwed it all away.On top of that the waitress was rude. And the student discount still advertised on their website is not deducted from the bill! Over disappointing experience.

We turned up for a quick family lunch -hoping for the meze. Even though they don't usually do meze on QPR match day lunchtimes they provided it for us very efficiently.We really appreciated the service and the vast selection of Greek food which just kept coming. Excellent starters and meat platter -seafood less flavoursome. We went for a combination of meat and fish set menu meze platters. Good service and informal atmosphere.

Came here last night for the first time as I've just moved nearby - I loved it. Went with two friends and one had a mixed grill, the other two of us shared mezze plates. Nice selection of starters/mezze and everything tasted great. The waitress was absolutely lovely we had a nice chat and laugh with her - such friendly service really took it from just enjoying good food, to a great experience all round. Will definitely be back asap.
