We arrived on Friday afternoon about 4.30pm to be told the swimming pool was closed to kids under 18s at 6pm adults were aloud up to 9pm I was there with my son that is 14 years old nothing much for him to do of the 2 nights we stayed no entertainment for under 18s/16s Didn't get to use the pool / gym as this is included in the price The breakfast was very nice and plentiful

Visited the bar with family to watch the CP v AV football match and had a wonderful time. All staff were so amazing, very friendly and approachable, I decided to sign up for the gym. I look forward to many more visits.

Very friendly staff in the pub & grill

I recently visited the Village Hotel bar in Swansea and had an amazing experience. The bar manager, Sophie, was absolutely brilliant — super welcoming and made sure everything ran smoothly all night. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Jordan, hands down the best barman there. It was such a fun night thanks to the great staff. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend it if you’re looking for a great place to relax and enjoy yourself!

The Village Pub & Grill exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was lively, and the staff were friendly, clean and attentive. The menu offered a great variety of options, from classic pub fare to delicious sandwiches and salads.

We hold monthly networking events in the Village Hotel's Bar and Grill! The staff always ensure we have a quiet area with enough room for everyone. They make us feel very welcomed, and the service is always great. The location is brilliant, along with the parking. We would highly recommend the Village Hotel.

Rebecca , Steve & Rachel were great staff for us. We really enjoyed our stay here and they were extremely accommodating during our stay.

The staff have been fantastic. So nice to talk to and provide a service with a big big Smile. Starbucks in the hotel. Room is clean and decent size with no size bath. Only negative - no room fridge. Nice bar and too bad they don’t have any local brew. I can’t emphasise the friendliness of the staff and the Welsh hospitality

The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. The entire hotel was clean and well-kept. The savory breakfast options are great, but the machine coffee came out watery. Furthermore, although they say on the website that the juices are natural, they are not. And the sweet options are few and industrial. The only downside was that we paid for a Club room and didn't have any of the amenities that included, such as the coffee maker. We notified reception and they placed them quickly.

I just wanted to say how helpful Rebecca was after I accidentally lost my keys whist donating blood in the hotel. Rebecca searched everywhere that I had been. She showed great compassion and went above & beyond to try and help me locate them. Thank you Rebecca.

Ridiculous small amount of food for Christmas Day dinner

I have never stayed at this location but I have used its facilities a number of times over the years.. The bar area is great for food and a drink, lovely places to meet friends for watching football or a bite to eat. The toilets are always clean and tidy and starbucks is always spot on for service as well as being clean and tidy. Hotel parking is good too 4 hours free parking so you can explore the marina with your coffee to go if you want to get steps in..

It was our second visit to the Village Hotel in Swansea. Comfy large bed, big shower and self check in. Gym, swimming pool and Starbucks available on the premises. The only downside is the parking fee, this should be included with the room, as the prices are not the cheapest.

Excellent facilities in the hotel. The pub & restaurant are great and lively. Rooms spacious and clean bathroom/showers. New EV chargers about to open (currently charge at Ibis just up the road).

The Village Hotel Swansea offers a great experience with its modern facilities, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The on-site gym and pool are fantastic, and the food at the restaurant is excellent. It’s in a convenient location with easy access to the city and local attractions. Highly recommend for both business and leisure stays!

Didn't stay in the hotel part, just went there for an event. Beautiful venue and excellent service. Not sure if they used a separate catering company for the food, but we were given a small Christmas dinner, with no yorkshire puddings and a single pig in blanket.

I always enjoy my Sunday morning in Starbucks when B serving my coffee. Best in town xx

I stayed at The Village hotel last Tuesday and found the whole experience amazing! The reception team, especially Rachel, were professional and extremely helpful. The room was delightful, and the menu exciting! Will return very soon.

Me and my family visited on the 27/11/2024 had a lovely experience, all staff were lovely especially Rachel she went above and beyond for us. Food was lovely and the new menu is great! Definitely be back soon

It should have ticked all the stars 🌟 but there are few things need attention, I have stayed in Village Hotels before but this one was below my expectations. Let’s start with location 10/10 Warm welcome at the reception Beautiful big room and very clean Swimming pool is small , Sauna was stinking a urine or it hasn’t been cleaned for many weeks, steam room was just ok but on the edges you can clearly notice the silicone is coming off 🙃 Overall if I have to be honest it’s a very good hotel and perfect location just beside the beach 🏝️

Enjoyed our stay. Good value as we had the deal £79 for a night with £30 to spend in the pub/grill. The food was good but the noise in the pub+grill was overwhelming- they had loud background music as well as several TVs showing sport and then lots of groups of people shouting at each other in order to be heard. Perhaps they need more soft furnishings to absorb some of the noise?! Would strongly recommend bringing earplugs if you want to enjoy your meal! Excellent service from all staff. We enjoyed the swimming pool too. Not the greatest nights sleep though, as we were kept awake by music playing until gone 1am. We went for brunch at “One sixty coffee bar” over the main road, which we’d really recommend as for cheaper than the cost at the hotel we had freshly cooked French toast, bacon, maple syrup and amazing flat white coffees 😋

Room was shabby and dirty. Noise from the gym at weird hours of the day, and was kept awake from 4 am by someone stomping up and down. Also, if you are using an electric car, We were recommended to charge at the Ibis hotel down the road by staff at the village hotel. We ended up with £100 fine!

Bathroom not very clean, hairs left in shower from previous guest. Reception check in excellent but the bar/restaurant is awful service. They really don’t care. The food was barely edible, salad smothered in a vinegary dressing and burger in a very hot sauce which drowned it. Bar area was dirty, bar needed wiping and dirty glasses piled up. Would not recommend eating here at all.

Sadly, we did not see some of the reviews already left about the noise issues before we booked, as we too were given a room on the second floor and were awoken at 06:15 by techno music and a shouting fitness instructor in the gym below. I am not talking about a little background noise, it was a full-on window rattling experience. The reception staff on the main desk and gym were apologetic but ineffectual as the class, at the same volume, continued for the full half an hour. After a long drive from Kent the day before, littered with delays, and the prospect of a long day ahead at a graduation it was not the ideal situation. I am not expecting a monastery when booking a city centre hotel room, traffic noise, other guests, even a function is all par for the course. Our companions in another part of the hotel did sadly have to put up with noise and music from an event the next night until 01:30. This is obviously a long standing problem with the noise from the gym as can be seen by the multiple reviews mentioning it, what I don’t understand is the failure to rectify or acknowledge it. The general manager has not responded after being contacted, poor customer relations. Be careful of booking. Very friendly staff, good bar/restaurant. FYI decor a bit jaded, stained carpets, scuffed woodwork. Room rate was closer to £100 per night not £54 as auto added at top of review.

Fantastic stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming, rooms were modern and bright. Used pool which was clean Breakfast was great with a good selection, as was dinner the night before. There is a good variety on and would definitely go there again

Please be aware that the hotel allows an exersize class where loud music is played and an instructor shouts into a mic from as early as 6 am I stayed on floor 2 and it must have disturbed so many people. I'm not taking about a little nose in the background, it's very loud. It started again at 9 am and was not as bad but some people may still find this disturbed then. The fact that any kind of noise like this is allowed is incredible, as I'm typing this the 9 am season has just been turned up.

This hotel is run very smoothly. Staff are always happy to help with anything you need. Rachel especially was very helpfull

Very friendly and helpful staff

Appalling customer service!!! We went here for two nights, with a voucher. On check-in we explained we had the voucher. We arranged a late check-out (a £20 option), and ate dinner in the 'Pub'. Service at dinner was non-existent - staff did not seem interested so we had to get the management involved for any results. On leaving, they knocked on our door at 11am, not being aware of our late checkout. On leaving at 1pm, they explained our voucher paid for everything, and we have nothing more to pay. At the time I thought 'fair enough, they've messed me around, so they are offering free parking and late checkout in compensation'. However, a few days later, I found my credit card had been billed for the whole stay. A HOTEL SHOULD ALWAYS PROVIDE AN INVOICE TO OUTLINE CHARGES A CUSTOMER INCURS WHEN THEY LEAVE!!!! When I contacted the hotel, they said to me 'You should have given your voucher to the receptionist'. However, when I told her about the voucher, she didn't ask for it. So, in short, complete chaos, bills incurred that they didn't inform me about, then they implied the mix-up was my fault. They did refund the credit card after a few days, so I did not have to pursue the disputed transaction any further with my credit card company. ——————————————————————————————————— Funny how they seem to respond to positive reviews, but not to negatives ones!

Attended a property meet Loads of parking spaces Popped into the bar for drinks

Stayed here on the 1st June 2024 for the night. Quick check-in, friendly staff, good location, first impressions off the room were not positive - stained and dirty carpet, tired furnishings and a bathroom that could do with a refurb, especially considering the cost of the stay - £144. Worse was to come however when I got in to bed in the early hours. The mattress was worn out and had collapsed/noisy resulting me having to squeeze over on to the other side of the bed. Due to the time and knowing in order to get the issue resolved, I would most likely have to move rooms, I raised the issue in the morning with reception staff after recording videos of the mattress being sat/lay on (in addition, further investigation in the morning revealed that the mattress was soiled under the mattress protector). They advised me to email the manager and provided an email address. I emailed my concerns later on on the 2nd June, hadn't received a reply a week later, so chased it up, again no reply. I then had to initiate a charge back claim through my credit card provider, which is ongoing. As of the 3rd July, I have not received any correspondence from Village Hotels. Needless to say, I won't be staying at another Village Hotel ever again.

A lovely hotel with great staff. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious. Would definitely stay again.

I had friends visiting and they stayed here for the weekend, Great stay in a perfect location. They were so happy with the option of pool facilities and pub & grill. Next time they come down to visit I will book in for the weekend with them. After what they said about the staff being so welcoming and helpful, while the food was lovely as well. Looking forward to them coming down so I can stay the weekend here. Helpful and polite staff. Would recommend

Had an excellent stay here while visiting friends and family. The staff can't be friendly enough and we had a hell of a good time. Will return for another visit soon.

I spent one night in this hotel. The reception team was nice and made me feel welcome; the rooms was spacious but unfortunately very dirty. The carpet seemed dirty, there was dust everywhere and the bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, including stained toilet paper. I haven't used any of the other services but I heard there is a pool, a big bar area and Starbucks.

Not sure why this hotel is getting 4 stars, stayed here on Friday 26/04 and was totally unimpressed by the room I was given on the fourth floor, the carpet in the room was absolutely filthy with numerous stains, there was other peoples hair stuck to the mirror in the room, the decor was dated and the door locking mechanism did not lock. To top it all off there was a rugby team staying who were having a party and decided that it would be fun to roar and shout in the corridor at 5am. Appreciate that the hotel cannot often control this but it was an absolute joke. Breakfast the next morning was 2 star at best and the restaurant was rammed. The only saving grace was free weekend parking!!

Big improvement on our last stay, the room had a deep clean, which made a big difference. Big plus for the hotel is the gym and pool.
