Allergy & Stay Review As someone who suffers with a severe nut allergy and struggles to eat out, my time spent at the Bury Village Hotel was far superior to what I have come to expect from most hotels. Service & Food The service I received from the members of staff was kind, polite and very forward planning. The reason for my stay was a business trip however each meal whether that be breakfast, lunch or dinner a meal card was already written out on what I can and cannot eat. I adore this level of concern and wellbeing for my health as a customer. Every meal for the five days of my stay were flavourful and delicious. I would highly recommend the Katsu curry, Sunday Roast or Fish & Chips. Room & Facilities The rooms are spacious, clean and really comfortable. Access to bedside sockets for phone charging and room lighting. The TV is always a wonderful touch. All gym and pool facilities are clean and well maintained. The Gym studios also had lots of classes on. Would mostly definitely stay here again whether that’s a casual stay or a business stay.

Always good in a village hotel. Especially when you have village rewards and get 25 percent off the food and drink. Great value great staff and rooms always tidy. You get use of the gym and steam.and sauna. Decent parking when you driving vans. Can't go wrong would recommend anyone staying in a village hotel.

It's a hotel but I've never stayed there......I use it as a meeting place. It got a Starbucks, a huge car park, it's just off the m66...its got a bar and it has that great busy atmosphere.

Hi ,everyone we entered this bar at the village at bury last Saturday evening the 21st at 6.30 pm and whent about ordering a meal with my family spending £90 on the meal and another £10 On drinks all paid in cash ,so the food arrived and one of the meals had black marks in the breaded chicken pieces they agreed to refund the meal as it shouldn’t be like this there words , at the cost we paid for it £18 fair enough and then we where asked how did you pay we said cash the bar manager said oh that’s a problem we said why because you can’t have your cash back today ,why not we said because we can’t give refunds , you have to email our offices and they then refund next week on a card it’s company policy,at no point anywhere in the bar area does it say this or previously explained on are arrival , we then asked the for the main manager only when Bethany the manager told us again she has no access to cash refunds even though we paid in cash absolutely flabbergasted when we asked about no explanation on the walls or at the bar they thought this is acceptable we don’t , Bethany had no access to any cash refund service , she only paid us out of her own pocket really after 30 mins of this debacle what a sham , so beware don’t pay cash because if anything isn’t upto scratch food wise youl be out of pocket for some time , we definitely won’t be going again

Comfortable hotel with everything you could need. Easy to taxi and Uber pick ups with a big car park. Restaurant and car park in the lobby. Huge toilets on the ground floor (surprised me with its how big it was). Beware there are lots of hen parties etc on the weekends: so they might keep you up at night. Very clean, every thing works. The breakfast was nice. It runs from 7.30 until 10 in the morning.

"The bar and grill team at the Village Hotel in Bury are incredible! What they endure during busy periods is often crazy, yet they remain professional, friendly, and kind. However, one thing that needs immediate change is the 'Village Hotel Footie' initiative. It has essentially turned the bar and grill into a 'Wacky Warehouse' environment, with unsupervised children causing mayhem—screaming, banging, chasing loose balls, and running amok! For a hotel that charges premium prices, this is far from the experience you expect when trying to enjoy an afternoon or evening with your family."

Danni and Meg were absolutely amazing from organising my wedding to the actual wedding day. We held our wedding at the village hotel Bury. Everybody had a great day. It was very special. We couldn’t have asked for any better. Thank you so much Danni and Meg and also the rest of the team.

Stayed twice here and both times we had a brill experience. Rooms are modern, clean and comfortable. We were also gifted an additional voucher to spend on food and drinks. Additional mention to Max a lovely lady in the bar who made our stay a 10 out of 10 by going the extra mile.

Nice hotel, rooms are very spacious, however they are extremely warm which made it difficult to sleep. There are Dyson fans in the room which I think are to try to tackle the issue of warm rooms. The pool area is fantastic, the pool itself is very big when compared to other Village hotels.

I use the meeting rooms here at the hotel for interviews occasionally and sometimes just the cafe or bar for quick meetings. Free WiFi is available and the carparking is free for upto 4 hours. The hotel is close to the motorway so can get here quite quickly.

(4 week stay)The room was fantastic I stayed in 4 different rooms over 4 weeks. The staff were brilliant the only thing that let the Village down was, the menu the food wasn't bad but it was massively over priced, and so were the drinks ! But if you walk across the road there's a pub there, with a brilliant menu and a carvery, and it's have the price and better quality. If you stay at the Village hotel bury, you can't go wrong if you just use the other pub to dine. 😁👍🏻

I’ve been a member here for a number of years. Yesterday I was swimming when a full fire evacuation was announced. Julie Davenport and Jack Eaton took charge and to move people from the pool to an area of safety. I want to thank both these members of staff, and Tyler, team leader for there prompt, professional actions. As a client I felt totally safe and cared for by these members of staff. Having to get out of the pool wet and move to the back of the car park was not a pleasant experience but the staff managed this situation with professionalism with total respect for the people they were overseeing. Thank you again to Julie,Jack, Tyler and Dominique.

I had a booking for this hotel for about 2/3 weeks and after doing a 12 hour shift and driving to get there for 2.5 hours, I got there at 11:30 at which point they told me that they had overbooked. They told me I had to book a travel lodge as all the rooms were full. As to why they couldn’t call me beforehand, there was no good reason. I got to the travel lodge and the lady at the desk told me that if I booked 8 minutes later, they wouldn’t have been able to accept my booking. That room was not nice and the bathroom didn’t feel clean. I had the village booked for two nights after that, at which point I had to speak to managers twice, I was never approached to resolve what had happened. The first time, I called ahead of arriving to make sure that I had my booking. They did not care about me having to book another hotel the night before that was significantly worse. He wanted to get off the phone as quickly as possible. He even wanted to charge me for a no show fee and acted like he was doing me a favour for cancelling it. When I got there, he checked me in and wanted to get onto the next customer. He didn’t mention anything about compensation until I brought it up, to which the response was that they will get back to me. The second time, they told me that they would resolve the issue before I left and said that they would email me the next day. They did not. I guess my compensation is that they did not charge me extra for not showing up. On top of that, the barbecue wings suck and are not worth the calories of eating them.

This establishment can only be described as an absolute cesspit. Despite receiving an email promising a free joining fee, my decision to bring my wife and daughter for a day pass turned into a costly disappointment. Upon arrival, we were unexpectedly charged £58 for a mere one-hour swimming session. Eager to begin our aquatic adventure, we headed straight to the family changing rooms. However, what greeted us was an overpowering stench of urine and floors littered with tissue, hair, and various unidentifiable substances adorning the walls. The attached pictures fail to capture the full extent of the repulsiveness due to the presence of other users, but they are sufficient evidence of the abhorrent conditions. Holes in the walls, collapsed drains, and the unmistakable presence of bodily fluids suggest neglect and a lack of proper maintenance. These are not mere water marks or stains; they are remnants of DNA left to fester within the walls for an extended period. My wife ventured into the female changing rooms with our daughter, while I made my way to the male section. To our dismay, my wife encountered an 11/12-year-old boy freely roaming the premises as his mother changed. This blatant disregard for privacy and security is deeply concerning. Finally, when we managed to enter the pool itself, we were met with what can only be described as an ice bath. The discomfort was unbearable, prompting us to cut short our visit. On our way out, we voiced our dissatisfaction to the young receptionist, only to be met with a dismissive "ok" in response. In conclusion, this establishment falls far short of acceptable standards. Its deplorable conditions, lack of professionalism, and disregard for customer experience make it a place to avoid at all costs.

Absolute worst customer service EVER! Tried to place a large order of starters and mains for 11 of us but couldn’t make out one section of the menu. The girl refused to read it to me, then she read it that fast I thought it was one big meal! She then Told me she was too busy to speak to me and to order the meals I knew. It’s gone so down hill this place, it was amazing before they sold it. Can’t comment on the chef but if she’s the front of house for the place, steer clear!! They just passed on a £200 order because she couldn’t be bothered. The Chinese is Norden is miles better!

Never arrived. Tried to call the shop to chase my order, the shop answered and told me they were waiting for a driver. Then hung up on me. I tried to call to cancel after waiting way over the promised delivery time, no answer and being cut off.
