This place is fantastic, my pho tom and summer rolls were awesome. Lovely personnel as well.

Vietnamese Food and Coffee was the best Vietnamese restaurant we found in Edinburgh. We wanted to go for dinner one evening, however we arrived too late and they were already closing. We didn’t give up and went back the next day for lunch and were not disappointed. It offers an authentic dining experience with simple but amazingly tasty dishes prepared in a traditional way. If you are in the mood for a Vietnamese dish this is the place to have it. The service is great and it is well priced for what is on offer.

Very tasty food, big portion, I just wish there's more options but what they have, they do very well!

I accidentally passed by a restaurant and tried it, and I immediately fell in love with it. It is right near my home, and now it is basically a dining hall for the whole family. To be honest, even if you have eaten in almost every country in Europe, this one is the best, without a doubt. I have never been to Vietnam, but I am sure that the taste of this restaurant is not inferior even in Vietnam. The old waiter can also speak Mandarin and Cantonese. Hope business gets better and better

Lovely little family run place serving great food at an affordable price with a lot of character and atmosphere

We ordered a beef rice noodle, duck rice noodle, prawn spring roll and egg coffee. The staff in there are Thai and are very warm, friendly and patient. The food came fast and is hot. The soup of the rice noodle is amazing, not too bland or salty. I love that they have rice and greens to go with the noodles, we felt very full after the meal. The egg coffee is brilliant, having an amazing taste of coffee and sweetness. Definitely recommend it!!!

Amazing authentic Vietnamese(Hanoi) Pho! Everyone is very accommodating and definitely an amazing service. The portions are huge for those not big eaters. Would 100% come again :)

From the corner of the street, you can already smell the fragrant smell of pho. Steamed rare pho is plump and delicious. Grilled meatloaf has a lot of meat. Brothers and sisters are cheerful. After more than a week of eating Western food, this is truly a lifesaver for my stomach 🤣

I have never had Vietnamese food before, stayed in Edinburgh for 5 days and we ended up eating here at Vietnamese Food & Coffee for 3 out of the 5 days - it was THAT good we had to keep going back! Would recommend this to anyone in the area, you will not be disappointed! Also really lovely staff, beautiful decor, and the place smells amazing. Really reasonably priced for large portion sizes. I want to go back to Edinburgh just to have the veggie banh mi again :)

Lovely little spot. There is a real feeling of happiness in there. The staff are full of smiles and clearly love what they do. Which is quite infectious. Really great selection of Banh Mi. Which come with a complimentary bowl of their Pho broth. Great condiments too. The pickled chilli's are HOT! Quirky space. I'll definitely return 👍

Such a hidden gem! We had the beef pho, prawn summer rolls, and veggie spring rolls — everything was fresh, flavorful, and comforting. But what truly made the experience unforgettable was Kim, the lovely lady who served us. She was incredibly sweet and genuine, offering us extra rice and making us feel so welcome. It honestly felt like we were eating at home — Kim really looked after us with so much kindness. Can’t recommend this place enough if you want authentic food and genuine hospitality.

Visiting from Los Angeles, where you can find decent Vietnamese food easily, I can honestly say this is one of the best pho I’ve ever had. The garlic in vinegar they provide as a condiment adds a pleasant kick to the broth, which is rich and flavorful with high-quality meat slices. I’ll definitely be coming back while I’m in Edinburgh.

A great glimpse of Asia/Vietnam in Edinburgh! Good food and my first time to receive an extra rice with Pho! Water is served with lemon! Really refreshing! And their egg coffee is good as well based on my boyfriend’s review!

This place has one of the best customer service that I’ve seen! The lady was super sweet and gave us extra rice for my parents. Our family ordered Pho debit was delicious! The broth was my favorite. They give you enough cilantro and bean sprouts to go with the meal. If I was here longer, I would go back again! The menu had pretty good variety of selections as well!!

Super nice pho with good broth. Despite it’s made from stock, it’s more flavourful than expected. The ingredients are fresh and mixed very well with the pho noodles. Generous portions and staffs are nice and polite

Excellent food and friendly service! It was my first time trying Vietnamese food and it was delicious and so fresh. I highly recommend!

The staff here are so very attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming. It's clear they have a place in the heart of their regulars. However, I was really disappointed by the vegetarian selection. One dish was called "vegetarian noodle soup" but was made with beef bone broth. I was told all the baguettes came with meatball soup, including the vegetarian baguette. I was not permitted to substitute it with a vegetarian side (eg spring rolls) so went without a side. Not good value for money given that it still cost the same. It also made me doubt whether any of the food was actually veggie friendly.

The food I have tried here so far is delicious. Looking forward to returning and trying the Vietnamese coffee and more dishes from their menu. Friendly service.

my friends and I who are from Hong Kong & Canada think this is the best Vietnamese noodles in Edinburgh. I heard it’s open for 3-40 years? Their noodles costs £16.xx it’s a little expensive but the size is huge. Beef broth is rich and tasty! I love cooking and I know they spent time to make the broth. The summer rolls are nice, especially their homemade sauce. Will definitely recommend to go. Staffs are Vietnamese auntie and uncle. They know what they’re doing. Will be back soon :)

Finally got around to trying this place. Wow. The bahn mi is so so delicious. They make their own baguette and it shows. Soft, crunchy, warm. Fabulous. Ordered the baguette 1 and would order the same thing again if I came back. I'm in love.
