Vietnam Pho in Norwich

Great cooking and flavours. One of my trusted restaurants to go to. Would recommend. Not the best of decor more like a cafe but it’s the food that matters here.

The food was ok, we both had the chicken pho and shared beef balls as a starter. The broth was quite thin and didn’t have the depth of flavour I’m used to with pho, the chicken was cut into very large chunks which made it difficult to eat, a couple of the pieces were so big I left them as I was unsure if they were cooked through. I’m also used to having a lot of green herbs in my soup but only found a few tiny pieces of mint which I couldn’t really taste. It felt like it was made by someone who really didn’t take much care or love for what they were making. A bit of a shame really as the restaurant came recommended but I don’t think I will be ordering again.

We had nice family dinner here. The food is very nice. Very nice staff.

The tender beef pho and the tofu pho were so flavourful. They were served with extra veg and lemon and the spiciest chillies (which come on the side). The prices are very reasonable. Loved the food and will be back ;).

The dessert taro pudding used to be sweet, now it's salty which I found weird

Delicious Vietnamese food in Norwich. We had the Special Pho (mixed beef and chicken) and the Vietnamese Chicken Salad.

Very quick service, amazing food and even better prices. I love the summer rolls and all the pho I have had there has been so light and flavourful. Definitely recommend!!

I was eagerly looking forward to dining at Pho, having read glowing reviews and being a fan of Vietnamese cuisine. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, and I won’t be returning. Our meal was marred by an excessively long wait; we sat down at 6 PM, and by 7:20 PM, we still hadn’t received our food. The delay seemed to stem from the restaurant struggling to manage a high volume of both dine-in and takeaway orders. Adding to the frustration, my friend specifically requested that his dish be prepared without peanuts. When the food finally arrived, it was not only garnished with peanuts but the server insisted they were shallots. After tasting them, it was clear they were indeed peanuts. Whether this was a case of negligence or dishonesty, it reflects poorly on the service. Thankfully, it was a preference and not a life-threatening allergy, but this level of disregard is unacceptable.

Good tasted amazing, fresh and full of flavour, nicely presented with care and attention. Service was excellent, staff friendly and offered good advice on the menu, offering alternatives and their favourites, which didn’t disappoint. Excellent value for money 💰 Only negative, music I found too loud to hold conversation.

Food was really good, very fresh and piping hot, very decent size portions, and nice and tasty, reasonably priced too.. staff where very friendly and polite

Great Pho, spring rolls and curry, very very tasty! And friendly smiling staff. My negative was £4.50 for small portion of rice to go with £13 curry was unclear and the unclear automatic10% service charge. Apart from that, it was delicious and i would recommend to visit. Thank you.

Such lovely authentic food. Service was amazing. So accommodating for such a large group of us. I would highly recommend this restaurant for it quality, service, location, vibe and friendly staff

Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Having been to other locations before, I thought I knew what to expect, but this location is absolutely standout! Food tastes amazing and the customer service was the best I’ve ever received, shoutout to our server with green hair. Made us feel so welcome and we will definitely be returning ASAP

Been to Pho many times in London so of course was super excited that there was a location opening in Norwich. Heather was really great at taking our order and explaining the different items on the herb plate and how they affect the flavour of the pho. For sure we'll be coming back again!

Me and my flatmates always get takeaway from here as a treat, and the food is SO delicious! As a vegan, I get the Quorn pho and the coconut rice- it's honestly the best coconut rice I've had, not too sickly but just right, and the pho is so tasty, the broth is something really special

Tasty Vietnamese food but we were hoping there was bahn mi 🥖 We had the Summer Roll which I really enjoyed and highly recommend. We also ordered the tender brisket pho and the grilled marinated chicken with rice, salad, and egg. A little bit on the pricey side and atmosphere felt quite uncomfortable because of the angry man trying to go inside their kitchen. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Lovely little place in Norwich, I was visiting for work and (annoyingly) went to them 10 mins before they close for lunch service but they were still very happy to serve :) I was sooo happy to see ban cuon, the steamed rice rolls, it's so difficult to find some good ones. Pho was nice with a good portion even with the small size. Definitely want to come back and try more things!

Amazing good, affordable prices and lovely service every time. One of the most underrated spots in Norwich in my opinion!

Everything here is bursting with flavour! The restaurant is small (about 4 tables) and unpretentious. It is a pricey.. but there weren't any hidden service charges. I highly recommend the Banh Cuon - the soft rice rolls with mince pork paired with the vinegar fish sauce and two pork slices is a perfect combo. The Cha Gio (spring rolls) is heavenly, only thing is.. it was a bit hard to eat because the filling kept falling out of the oversized slices. Pho Bo (with tender rare beef) was beautiful, so is the iced Vietnamese coffee and Com Tam (the porkchop was really well marinated but a bit tough).

Another great evening here on 13 January! Busy at the restaurant again but it shows how popular this place is. Service is always excellent and Ha and the team serve up some delicious flavoursome food every time! My wife has a gluten, dairy and egg free restriction but when we eat here there is never a problem as all the food is cooked fresh to order and served with understanding. Thank you so much and we always look forward to returning!

I arrived at my airbnb and was wandering down the street looking for something to eat in the area. By an incredible stroke of luck I discovered this gem of a place. The staff were so warm and friendly and helped me with my choice. The pho was delicious and the chilli oil was sooo good. I ended up getting takeaway egg fried rice and garlic aubergine which I ate at home. Really tasty. I highly recommend this laid back place for its lovely food and friendly atmosphere.

Went for a friend's birthday meal. Was able to book a table at short notice. Food was excellent, everyone enjoyed the Pho, and the staff were lovely! They even gave us a complimentary birthday cake which was a lovely surprise. Oh and the iced coffee with condensed milk is a new favorite. Highly recommend

Food is lovely but this place is very very expensive, starter and main cost me £26 for spring roll and pork noodle for one no drink. For this reason I will not return

Beware of the secret service charge. We wont be eating there again. 5 pieces of tofu and a bowel full of liquid with some noodles. Nearly £9. Let people know there is a service charge please. Food is ok but nothing special.

This is a restaurant we regularly visit. They are capable of providing dairy,gluten, and egg free diets with plenty of choice. The thing we notice most when we visit is the number of new customers. The food is amazing fresh, tasty, and always delicious. The service is very personal, and the price is very good. Thank you to Ha and her staff!

An absolute hidden gem, not in the main city centre (which is great). The food was delicious, I had the Beef Brisket Pho, which was perfectly balanced and subtly fragrant in the best way. I had a large and it was the perfect size for me at...96kg (oops). It is one of these places where you just know the food is authentic and they care about flavour and ingredients, it shows. We especially loved how peaceful the kitchen and atmosphere was, with two Thai Women Chefs, which just made the experience even better. Go here for brilliant food, but please not on a Saturday afternoon (because I'll need a table). No pictures as we just couldn't wait....

We had a meal here today Saturday 23rd September. Ha and her staff are always on hand to help you. Food is absolutely delicious, excellent variety, and can always be adapted to suit different diets including gluten and dairy free. Another wonderful experience!

Was missing eating Noodles from back home and visited Vietnam Pho. It was early in the evening so was quiet, but the food was excellent. The taste and depth of flavour was amazing. I reccomend going there and trying it out

I love this place, I come here often. The pho is amazing! The iced coffee is too, but recently the iced coffee doesn’t taste the way it used to.

Spoke to the staffs they are Vietnamese and we could tell the food is authentic and also the deco too. Sitting inside felt like we were in south east Asia. The steamed rice rolls were very nice and delicious but the Pho noodle we felt it could do more herbs and the red curry was ok, very spicy and it definitely has effort as I could see a lots of herbs and spices bits in there. Really liked the sweet coffee.

We are now considered regulars, and the one thing you can't say about the food at this place is that it's regular. The food is amazing! Freshly made on site, full of flavours, and very tasty! My wife is dairy, egg, and gluten free, and she can always find tasty food on the menu. The place us clean, the staff are very helpful and polite and the food is amazing! Thank you Ha!

Situated on the Dereham Road in Norwich I have eaten many times in the Vietnam Pho. Food is super tasty and the service good. The restaurant has seating for approximately 20 people. Eat in or take away the food is lovely and spicy and offers a true taste of Vietnamese cuisine. Only soft drinks are available. I would highly recommend a visit to Vietnam Pho.

Food is disappointed. Did not have the real taste of Vietnamese food. Too expensive.

This unassuming restaurant tucked away on Dereham Road has fast and friendly service and incredibly tasty dishes. I had the beef Pho which had a wonderful mix of noodles, bean sprouts, chilli and so much more with a hot broth packed with flavour. Looking forward to returning.

A little more than I would normally spend, but great food

I really enjoyed my meal, my partner had the brisket pho which was juicy and melt in the mouth. I had the steak which tasted fresh. Really delicious and clear broth. I would like more herbs for topping as the only herb was coriander. Mint and basil would be perfect. Chicken wings were very yummy.

Delicious pho — summer & spring rolls were also tasty! My family and I will definitely return!

A steaming bowl of noodle soup is the perfect comfort food to warm you up on a chilly winter day. Both pho dishes were served piping hot, just as I had hoped. It’s my first time trying the wok-fried pho, which was flavourful, and the king prawns were cooked perfectly. However, the wok-fried pho was slightly oily, so those who are conscious of their oil intake should take note. I highly recommend trying their crab meat pho, which is a must-try dish. Unfortunately, it wasn't available on that evening, but I truly hope it will be back on the menu soon.

Reserved a table for 4, welcomed and shown to table, given time to peruse menu's , ordered drinks (non alcoholic) peach tea was amazing, starters and mains dishes, all superb, fresh ingredients straight from immaculate kitchen, friendly, good service, will return to sample other vietnamese dishes.

Portions have got small! A noodle dish, with barely any noodles… Overpriced for what you get. Flavour was good, but too greasy

My wife and I went here on Saturday 7th January. My wife is gluten, dairy, and egg free. This is not a problem for this place because the food is freshly made on the premises. We were able to explain what we wanted and everything could be modified to our requests. The food was delicious, colourful, fresh, and full of flavours. I would highly recommend! The only thing that matches the quality of the food, was the amazing service. Friendly greeting nothing was too much trouble, and the chef came out to see if the food and the experience was OK! Thank you Ha!

My wife and I go here fairly regularly and it is always great. The pho is light and tasty, very authentic. The menu is small but effective and the staff are always friendly. Recommend.

Authentic Vietnamese food in a simple setting. Friendly, efficient service, and fair prices. The crispy squid is some of the finest I've had, and we also sampled the Pho, rice and curry. All of which where excellent. Great work guys. Will definitely be back!

We fell in love with their pho and starters during lockdown, and have been going there regularly ever since. The food is great - comforting yet healthy! - and the staff is really friendly. Highly recommended!

Food was ok, the pho wasn’t that tasty though but the overall feeling was that it was expensive. Nearly a tenner for papaya salad and a fiver for some rice.

I've made Pho at home for years as Ipswich doesn't have Vietnamese place that sells it so it's always a treat when I visit Norwich and I'm able to slurp on a fresh bowl from here 😋

Awful and horrible!!!! I order from Just Eat, stale ! I have run out of my toilet roll. It let me vomiting and diarrhea. HORRIBLE and DANGEROUS! Be careful everyone.

Delicious food (the mango rice and the fried squid were very very good). Lovely, quick service as well, the staff are very friendly. Will be coming back here again and trying all the great sounding food I missed out on.

Never eaten here before and I can't pretend it's the cheapest food available for takeaway, but you 100% get value for money. The flavours were fascinating and wonderfully authentic and the staff were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be eating with them again.

El servicio fue fantástico, y aunque el lugar es bastante pequeño, era acogedor. Pho vino antes de que lo supiera. Tristemente, me decepcionó! aunque el caldo era bueno, definitivamente carecía de la profundidad que recuerdo, y las hermosas y hermosas piezas de tiernas rebanadas de carne de res que mi amiga cubrió con las suyas, en realidad estaban en el caldo y eran muy masticables y duras. Me dio un poco de envidia la chica de la mesa que ordenó el tofu, en realidad podía masticarlo. mi crítica solo es rescatada por el excelente servicio de la camarera. También pensé que era bastante caro, el pho pequeño con caldo extra era 7. 50 y el té verde fue 3. 50

Jenny (Ha) was the perfect hostess for a much needed authentic Vietnamese cuisine experience. Living in BSE, we have to drive to Norwich for her lovely dishes. We had the pho bo (beef pho complete with very flavorful broth, basil, lime, chili, & bean sprouts), fried spring rolls, and Vietnamese ice coffee. It was a delicious reminder of our trip to Vietnam; our food and friendly service is enough to make the drive for lunch or dinner. Be sure to stop in and support the cozy, food coma inducing local business!
