Stopped off here this evening whilst out for a drive in the area.A real 'old style' chip shop, which was busy when I entered. I had a bit of a wait, but this wasn't a problem as far as I was concerned, as I would rather have my food cooked fresh anyway.I ordered a chipsteak with chips, and a single King Rib to go with it.The lady serving was very pleasant.Even the prices charged were 'old style', which was favourable to my pocket! For example, I noticed the price of a large fish & chips was £5. There are not many places where you can get a large fish supper for £5 nowadays!A typical old style chippie, takeaway only, that also had juice and sweeties available to purchase.A very good experience, and enjoyable food.

Travelling home to Edinburgh after an active day at Tentsmuir. A small but busy shop where they cook haddock and chips to order.

You can get sausage and chips etc, but freshly made fish and chips old style with a smile make the Muchty chipper a well known stopping place for a good value meal in a traditionally kitted out shop.

A chip shop like they used to be, doesn't look like its changed in years, reminds me of what they were like when I was young. Staff friendly, food is good and reasonably priced, worth a visit to see how a family run chip shop used to be, am very pleased I stopped...plenty parking in the big car park opposite.

Visited while we were on holiday. Place is a bit antiquated and could do with a sign outside informing passers by that it is a chip shop, but once inside the food is tasty, good quality and very reasonably priced.

The Muchty chipper. Lovely fish and chip shop of the old type. Has been run by the family for many years. And prices are great value.

Tasty.... My friend and I visited here fir the 1st time. Very pleasant surroundings, equally pleasant staff. We sat through the back which was very nice. The coffee was really nice but the Rhubarb Loaf.....well!! It was amazing! I'll definitely be going again

Been going here for years - foods solid, new young Chinese guy at the desk lost his mind today, asked a couple of questions and paused to think about what sauce I wanted with chicken balls, so rude, so hostile, the worst customer service in a long while

Were recommended this place by a friend and they were not wrong, a seafood lovers heaven.had freshly made crab sandwiches and sat at the benches outside. Bought a selection of dressed crab, langoustine and various pates to take away. Absolutely delicious and great friendly service with a smile which is very rare these days. Highly recommend. 😃
